The previous erotica book (collection of stories) I read was by Remittance Girl who has amazing prose and a great ability to come up with interesting stories while still managing to fit in sex as part of the story.
Some of the stories in this book really weren't very good. The ones I didn't like were mostly where I got the feeling that the story wasn't very fleshed out (excuse the pun) and really only existed as a framework for a hot scene. The stories I enjoyed much better were those that really spoke to the imagination, as in there was a real beginning, middle and end and the sex felt natural within the story. When reading erotic fiction I really prefer to get satisfaction from a story well told, rather than reading about some people who just happen to get off.
So I'd say this was a bit of a mixed bag. I'd recommend it because there are some very nice stories in there, but a bit disappointed with the lack of consistency across the board. _______________________________________________________________ While reading: I've only read a couple of stories so far but they have really sold me on this whole erotica written by women for women. Usually romance novels are very tame, this one definitely isn't.(less)
