Her books never disappoint. I loved this book. Maya was a great heroine. I also loved her relationship with Daniel. Am I the only one hoping they end up together? I like Rafe but I'm hoping that I didn't imagine the triangle (and she ends up with Daniel). There are lots of questions raised and I can't wait to find the answers. Everyone should read this book!(less)

I had to go to three different bookstores to get my hands on this book because it was sold out at the first two! It was worth the time and gas. I totally connected with the main character. There was one scene where I had tears running down my face. The romance in it was fantastic. I loved Bridger. Sigh. I started this book last night and finished it this morning. I really hope there is a sequel. I highly recommend this book!(less)

I liked the whole concept of the book. I also liked the reaction Violet had to her boyfriends secret. She actually was scared/worried/upset. I didn't know Aidan's secret when I started reading so I only figured it out a short while before Violet did.Lots of twists, turns, action and romance. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel. :)(less)

Emily Mah Tippets has an engaging writing style and voice that draws the reader in. Her characters were complicated, flawed and wonderful. I really rooted for Madison as she steered her away along the obstacles in her life. I connected with her as she struggled to determine who she was and what she wanted. The romance was pitch perfect and I really loved the whole book. According to my KIndle there is a possibility of a sequel. I hope that happens. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. (less)

If liked the Da Vinci Code or the National Treasure movies I think you will love this book. This is a YA novel with a complex plot. There is a lot of history in this finely tuned plot and it's weaved magnificently through the story. The Book of Blood and Shadows was filled with mystery, pulling the rug from beneath you moments and romance. I'm not sure if it is the first in a series or not but I would love to see what life has in store for the characters and how their lives are after the fall out of the novel.(less)

It is amazing how a story could be so dark, creepy and funny at the same time. I hope this is the first book in a series. Am I the only one hoping Sam's mom and his uncle Nick get together? (less)

I really enjoyed Bound! It is rare to find a totally unique mythology in today's YA market but C.K. Bryant pulled it off. I really felt like she did an excellent job in her world-building. Kira, the heroine was a wonderful blend of vulnerability and courage. I think my favorite character was probably Lydia. Lydia was a kind, true and loyal friend. Lydia's brother Octavian? Well, when I first met him I never thought I'd end up loving him as much as I did. But boy did he win me over!
Bound is a fantastic, gripping tale full of quick-moving plot laced with twists you won't see coming, action and a tantalizing romance. And the ending? Gah! The ending will leave you begging for the next book!(less)

She witness's the grief of her friends as they wait to find out if she'll make it or not. We're also with Mia as she decides if she'll stay here on earth or move on to the next existence. Adam's speech to her at the end had me sobbing. I really adored them as a couple. Through flashbacks we see the two of them together as well as Mia with her family. We also see Adam's love by his determination to visit Mia in the hospital even though he isn't legally family. Did I mention I loved Adam? I also loved how important music was to the story, Mia, Adam and her family. To me this book, like the cello that Mia plays, was beautiful and haunting. After I finished the story I wasn't ready to be done with the characters. I wanted to know what happened after the novel ended. The story ending was really a new beginning for Mia and I wanted to go on that journey with her. I even wrote the author asking what she thought happened after the last page of the book.I really needed to know. Her characters had become important to me. I didn't realize at the time of that email that there was a sequel coming out next year. It is called Where She Went and I can not wait to read it.(less)

Swoon. It is the first in the Emblem of Eternity series. It's wonderful to love the first of a series because you know there are more coming. I'm a sucker for soulmate books. I read a lot of them. This one was my favorite by far. Angela Corbett did a wonderful job in creating her own mythology in the soulmate genre.
By the end of the first chapter I was hooked. Evie was a great heroine who used her brains and asked the right questions. And she didn't just follow orders blindly. Alex and Emil were both so unique. I was drawn to both of the guys, but I am rooting for Emil. I seem to be cursed with the unfortunate habit of rooting for the underdog in any love triangle, but I am still Team Emil. Who's with me? I melted at the way he introduced himself to Evie. :) This is Angela Corbett's debut novel and she knocked it out of the park. I love her writing style and the way she paced the book. I am so excited to read the next book in this series and find out who Evie's true soulmate is!(less)
