This book was a breath a fresh air for me, and one I would recommend so highly. I was hooked from the first pages. It was undeniable that this book would be something special. The characters, the setting, the wonderful unknown kept me up all night reading. Everything I Left Unsaid is unique, so sexy and ultra mysterious.
What can I say about Annie and Dylan without giving anything good away? Because, trust me, you'll want to experience their relationship as it unfolds on the page, each surprising and thrilling moment. You'll feel for Annie and fall for Dylan. I admired Annie's bravery and her willingness to step outside of her box to make a real change in her life. While we get to see these two characters falling for each other, this story is also about Annie's journey as a woman and her finding herself in a world that's new and open to her.
I knew going into this book that there would be a cliffhanger ending (and I'm really glad that I knew and was ready for it), but I'll say please don't let that stop you from diving into this great story right away. Annie and Dylan's story continues in the second book, The Truth About Him, which only comes out about a month from now. This first book is a full story all on it's own, packed with secrets, passion, romance and discovery of self. I absolutely can not wait to jump back in and read more about these characters! I want to know more of Dylan's secrets, and find out how these two are going to overcome their separate battles. M. O'Keefe's writing is fantastic, drawing you in deep. I'm definitely a new fan!
I received a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
"In the end it wasn't a decision. Dylan was an instinct. An urge, like a tide in my blood."
"I could feel him there in the nerve endings along my back. The hair on my neck stood up. Him. That's what every part of my body said. Him. And mine."

This is the first book by Nancy Haviland that I've read and I'm excited to have found a new series to follow and a new author to enjoy! This is a standalone and the first in the Wanted Men series.
Gabriel Moretti is a powerful, born leader who commands respect from everyone around him. He is a definite alpha male and I really enjoyed his interactions with Eva, who happens to be the daughter of his good friend and mentor, Vasily Tarasov. Vasily is also a powerful mafia boss. I thought this would give Gabriel more pause before pursuing Eva, given he was asked to protect her by Vasily, but he throws caution to the wind and decides to worry about the consequences later. Eva is almost an obsession for Gabriel from the start and the progression of their relationship felt real and meaningful despite the short amount of time together. And I really couldn't wait to see Vasily's reaction to their relationship.
There are a lot of great elements to this story: a sexy mafia hero, an innocent heroine coming into her own, suspense, murder, a touch of MC club , and a whole list of secondary characters to love. And I really have to stress my excitement for these men! There are so many interesting, sexy, mysterious, complex, alpha males that I can't wait to read about in future books. Some of them work for Gabriel and some head their own organizations. The author really knows how to write a bromance, which I love. But there is also some tension among the large group of men and it will be fun to see how they interact in future books.
A Love of Vengeance brings love, sex, danger, sexy alpha males, violence and a lot of promise for more in the books to come. I'm excited about this series and I look forward to reading Vincente and Nika's story in book two, The Salvation of Vengeance.
P.S. Am I the only one who really wants to see Vasily find love again too? I can't be! I think he deserves a second chance and I hope there's a possibility of his own book later down the line....more

The Russian's Acquisition was everything I love about a Harlequin novel. It had a very old school romance feel to me and I really loved that. I admit, I love myself a jerk hero who then redeems himself later on, and Aleksy Dmitriev is just that. I also love a moody Russian hero and he brings that to the table for sure. Clair Daniels is an innocent swept up into Aleksy's game of revenge, but she also owns her choices. She is clearly a woman who is caught off guard with her feelings for Aleksy, forming a connection to him that she just can't deny. She falls hard for this cold man, wondering if he could ever feel the same.
I really enjoyed this story start to finish, and it's one I would love to put on my keeper shelf. I feel like this is a book that I'll read over and over until it becomes one of those comfort reads for me. I really hope there are more moody Russian heroes in this author's future books! ...more

I think of her books as old fashioned, sweet, comfort reads. I've been reading her books for over ten years now. In a Diana Palmer book you'll find small town, quirky characters with a strong connection to their community and each other. The heroes and heroines are a little damaged by past experiences and slowly work their way towards finding love.
That being said, I didn't enjoy Texas Born as much as I have some of her other books. While it had a lot of the Diana Palmer elements of past books, I felt it dragged a little in the middle of the book, and lacked a little in the romance department. I wanted to see more romantic tension between Gabriel and Michelle. I understand the extended friendship because of her young age, still being only 18 to his 24, but without the romance between them the story moved a little slow for me. I really enjoyed the tension and conflict towards the end of the book though and the introduction to future characters. Plus, if you've been reading the Long Tall Texans series over the years, you'll be happy with the many appearances by past characters.
If you're new to Diana Palmer I would suggest starting with an older book like Lawless or Carrera's Bride, to really get a feel for her books and her writing style....more
