Setidaknya, ada hal baru yang dipelajari, jika nantinya romance ini tidak menarik. Mengingat aku sudah membaca 2 buku Ms. Chase yang datar dan monoton But, o, wow! Ms. Chase kembali memukau, sama seperti Lords of Scoundrel. Dialog-dialognya cerdas dan penuh humor. the heroine, Daphne, adalah seorang ahli hieroglif. Tapi di abad ke-19, perempuan diekslusikan dari ranah ilmu pengetahuan. Karenanya, kepandaian Daphne di akui sebagai keahlian kakak lelakinya, Miles. Suatu hari, Miles diculik oleh komplotan pemburu harta karun dengan tujuan memaksanya membaca papyrus kuno. Daphne menghubungi konsulat Inggris, dan dihubungkan dengan Rupert Carrington, anak keempat dari Earl Hargate. Rupert membantu Daphne menyusuri sungal Nil untuk menemukan Miles. Rupert yang easy-going adalah antitesa Daphne yang serius. Interaksi antar mereka terkadang memancing tawa. Rupert mengandalkan kekuatan otot untuk mendukung pemikiran Daphne... Dari informasi Rupert, Daphne menyimpulkan itu adalah dewi keadilan Mesir kuno. Yang kita tahu kemudian, bernama Dewi Ma'at (Di buku ini, tentu namanya tidak disebutkan, karena Rosetta stone belum dapat dibaca hingga beberapa tahun kemudian ^^)
