After being married for almost 26 years, I can relate to just about everything mentioned. There is one part about the author's husband and the barbecue grill that was so funny and it was exactly like the grilling experience at my house. I haven't laughed this hard while reading something in a very long time....more

Wyatt is a shy, self-proclaimed geek. He has the hots for a coworker, Brian, who he feels is out of his league. Brian invites him to a party where he has to dress up like a superhero... which is perfect because Wyatt is a comic book junkie. Wyatt shows up for the party and gets a hell of a lot more than he expected. :)
The writing style is perfect. The characters are perfect. The story is perfect. Even though it is quite short I never felt like I was missing anything. I now have to read everything I can by this author. ...more

Brian and Wyatt are now in a relationship but the role-playing hasn't stopped. I actually liked the ending better on this one. It was an "Aw" moment. I hope the author keeps going with these guys. When I read a (super) short story I usually feel cheated at the end because I feel that it ended too quickly. This author manages to say everything that needs to be said in only a few pages. Great story....more

Whit meets Zack who is a new member of his role-playing game. Whit is shy. Zack is not. Whit is unable to even speak to Zack unless it is part of the game and then it's his character doing the talking. What is so funny about this story is Whit's inner dialogue. I found myself laughing out loud many times while Whit was trying to come up with something witty to say to Zack without looking stupid.
This totally had me cracking up. I just discovered this author today and I have already breezed through everything he's written that is listed on here. He is definitely a new fave. ...more

They creep me out. So what happens? My favorite short story writer on here not only puts out a new short about clowns but it's a Halloween story and he was kind enough to send me an advance copy.... and here's the best part... just because. No expectations for a good review or anything. He just sent the story (to me and others) a couple of weeks before release date because he's a good guy. I had to point that specific part out because I have been offered ARC's in exchange for a "glowing" review by others (and no, I haven't accepted those). It's nice to see an author do it just because.
This was a blast. Two men go to a haunted house. One is terrified of anything creepy... mainly clowns. The other is all eager to live a little, have a little fun so he drags his boyfriend to this old house and what they find inside is not what either expected.
I hate it but I can't say anymore without totally giving away the story. As with others from this author, there are quite a few funny parts but there are also some creepy parts (did I mention the damn clowns????)
Once again, Kyle Adams wrote a very entertaining story. I was very surprised over how everything played out but it was perfect. So much said in only a few pages. I look forward to (hopefully?) another installment with these guys.

You will laugh from the very first few lines until you get to THE END.
This book is simply brilliant. Definitely one of my all-time faves.

I have read other reviews and I have seen where folks were totally offended by this book. There's an issue with a cat that is disturbing and every other kind of strange thing you can imagine. This is not meant to be taken seriously. It is a satire. Don't read this if you are easily offended. It is definitely not for you.

While I knew about this short, I did not know that it had already been released. I missed it by a day. I don't do that. I always try to read his work on the day of release. Thankfully, I was able to grab it as soon as I noticed it and stopped reading something else to jump into it. The other book can wait. :)
I don't normally post reviews on the blog I participate in for super short stories. Dirty Drag is super short, read by me in only a few minutes. Because of my love of all things written by Kyle Adams I am making an exception in this case as far as a blog post is concerned.
Ashley is on a mission to prove a point. He wants to prove that he can pass as a woman in a dive bar. He wants to find a guy, blow him and then move on quickly before the man finds out he's not a female. It doesn't quite happen that way. The first man to approach Ashley in the bar is a redneck with the worst pick up lines ever. He is dispatched quickly. The next one, however, is different. Rick is a sexy man who obviously wants Ashley but Rick has plans other than having Ashley blow him quickly under the table and then take off.
This is a quick, very sexy read. Both characters are perfect for the story. As mentioned above, there is not much to this as it is only a few pages, but this author has once again put so much in those few pages that I did not feel cheated. I always end his books wanting more but never not satisfied with the resolution.
This is a great follow up to Dirty Drag. It takes place immediately after Rick and Ashley leave the bar after hooking up in the bathroom. The4.5 stars
This is a great follow up to Dirty Drag. It takes place immediately after Rick and Ashley leave the bar after hooking up in the bathroom. They go to Rick's place where the fun begins... again. Ashley is a hot mess. His make-up is smeared, his wig is all over the place and he's still wearing his slutty female clothes, stilettos included. After a bit of eating and teasing the men make their way to Rick's bathroom and the fun starts all over again. Ashley going home the next morning is hilarious. He looks like a 'drugged crack whore' still wearing his girly clothes which now includes a My Little Pony shirt. At Ashley's place we are introduced to his friend and I assure you (as the blurb says) you will never look at a Q-tip the same again. :)
It's no secret that I am a big fan of this author. I devour his work as quickly as it is released. Once again Kyle Adams left me smiling. This of course after a bit of giggling while reading the story. Rick and Ashley are hilarious and you can't help but adore Ashley's best friend. I hope to see more of these guys soon.
A hilarious tale of dognapping, kidnapping, a scorned lover, a psychotic family, a really old grandfather who suddenly discovers he's gay, disturbed employers, donuts, a cute dog and the two men in the middle of it all.
This book had me laughing from the first few pages and I didn't stop until I got to the end. John Inman has definitely gained a new fan.

Vicky is seventy-three and would never be called a typical older woman. Oh no. She lives her life to the fullest doing everything from stripping for charity, ridding the world of drug dealers (one dealer at a time), mending a little boy's heart when he thinks he will be forced to give away his beloved puppy as well as various other things. Vicky is a blast. Age does not slow her down in any way and she'll be the first to prove it if questioned. She's funny, at times a bit much, but in the end she's the type of woman that anyone would love to have as a friend.

A Gay Romance is not meant to be taken seriously. It's a parody and it covers every single gay stereotype (and others) you can imagine. It's in no way politically correct. It is meant to be taken in fun. Keep that in mind before reading it and if you get offended (or have no sense of humor) give it a pass.
This is one of the funniest books I have read in a long time. From the perfect Kory to the badass alpha Ram Rage to every other perfect character in between. Throw in murder victims with bad hair, a kidnapping, and lots of hot sex, and you have one hell of a fantastic book.
I can't wait to read the next in this series.

After being ignored one time too many, she takes care of Ben once and for all - with the use of a frying pan. Afterward, she has a few regrets and starts to think that maybe she's losing touch with reality. I'm thinking that hearing the voice of your dead husband arguing with you might do that to a girl. *smirk*
Excellent book. I'm a big fan of dark humor and I found myself giggling during the most inappropriate times while reading this book.
This cover (from Amazon) is much better than the one on here. Had I seen the one on Goodreads first, I might not have downloaded the book.

With that being said, Blind Date was totally not what I was expecting. It starts with Pela and Paul on a blind date. Apparently Pela hasn't had the best of luck with men in the past and she's hoping for a little spark with Paul. When Paul (rather rudely) suggests they leave the boring restaurant and go to his place for tea she reluctantly agrees. Of course, no smart woman would just take off with a total stranger like that, would they? Well, I can say that Pela is not the sharpest knife in the drawer and this is proven when she accepts the tea from her blind date at his house. This begins one of the most entertaining short stories I've read in awhile. Pela isn't quite as naive as she appears, and Paul? Well, let's just say that Paul is a bit on the creepy side, but you'll end up liking him before it's over. When Pela's ex makes a sudden appearance at an odd time, things between Paul and Pela take a weird turn. Saying anything more than that will give the story away.
Overall, a nice short. While I wouldn't call it a typical romance, it does have a HEA at the end. Recommended if you don't mind a bit of violence and dark humor....more

This story was obviously written in fun, so I knew going in that it wouldn't be something to take seriously. I mean, come on! It's about unicorn sex. *snort*
Liam has just discovered that his longtime boyfriend is cheating. The way he discovered it? He caught him in the act. Not only that, but the other guy was cheating with Liam's best friend. So, what to do? He's stuck at a party around a lot of people and he's just publicly exposed the cheating bastard of a boyfriend and his backstabbing best friend. He texts the one person he knows will come pick him up in the middle of the night without question - Garrett, his childhood unicorn friend.
Garrett shows up and takes care of the cheating ex because he's kind of a bad ass unicorn. He takes Liam home and suddenly our boy Liam is seeing Garrett in a whole new light. Why has he never thought about that sexy unicorn horn of his best bud? He gets aroused now thinking about it. Well, Garrett is invited to dinner with the family a week or so later and Liam and his unicorn go out into the orange grove and get busy. There's more to Garrett the unicorn than just good sex. He has special ejaculate, you see. I can't say more than that. I mean, the story is under 20 Kindle pages and I don't want to tell the entire story.
Highly recommended if you want to laugh a bit while reading about unicorn kink. It should be noted that Garrett isn't a unicorn shifter. Take that how you will.
I will say that the price of $2.99 is a bit ridiculous for such a short book. I was able to download it because I'm enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, but if you're not, I'd only pay that if you're really into unicorn kink. ;)...more
