The story takes place in the same fictional world of Amaranth as the first 2 books, it had potential, but I was personally kind of let down toward the end. As always the way the author writes is beautiful. My fave book in this series remains the first one *sigh*(less)

Unfortunately the characters and the plot were not that interesting and even though some sex scenes between Donte and Adin were good, the book itself did not excite me, cause it lacked that special something. The trainers were okay but not as fascinating as the applicants and/or Chris. On to the second volume asap!(less)

Still love the series, and I got to know and love Phan in his new role in the relationship between Tobias and Noah, even though he was really annoying me at first(in the first books). Just a minor annoyance in this book was the fact that I wanted to slap him when he was wiggling something, like his butt for example. It was cute only, like, the first 3 times, mkay? :p
Highly erotic as was the case in the previous volumes and interesting to see how things shifted from a D/s relationship to D/2s ;) I think I would have been bored to death if this book focused on Tobias and Noah again. I mean, the sex and the kink was amazing and all, but I dunno, I am glad Phan got incorporated in this whole thing. It makes things much more intersting for me :)(less)

The start is a bit uneventful but keep reading and you will be rewarded--especially during the kinky Paris trip that Tobias and Noah undertake ^_^.I also need to mention that I started seeing Phan differently because of a little incident in here. I was not a big fan of his till now.(less)

This second installment was a mish mash between a travel guide to Rome, "Vampire Chronicles" wannabe-ism and a ghost story. I id not connect to any of the characters, not even to Paul, whom under other circumstances I would characterize as cute. It might have been a great read if the author had decided what he wanted to write about. Pity :/(less)

This is basically a vampire story, where Jesus of Nazareth has a hawt cameo and largely defines Viktor's fate, for a long long time.
Very interesting and entertaining read, I totes recommend and approve :) (less)

It is a romantic and kinky(read bdsm) m/m retelling of the ugly duckling fairytale. My initial response was not that favorable, in other words the yaoishness of the first half of the story bored me a bit, but thankfully I kept reading, since I already enjoyed the characters (esp. Ori)and wanted to know what fate held in store for them. My interest really piqued after a very important event, at least for the avian shifter community-in which the two protagonists belong- takes place and changes things between our two heroes dramatically. I liked Ori's character a lot. Raynard remained kind of unreadable to me(I dunno, maybe it's just me?). I think they both lacked depth as characters, but still, I enjoyed the story overall. Do you think there will be a second book where we will get more of Ori and Raynard? I'd certainly read it ;)
P.S. Did I also mention I happen to love the name Ori now because of this book? Hadn't heard of it before but meaning and the way it sounds is beautiful ^__^(less)

We do get the POV of both the Master and slave in this one, whereas we only got Tam's POV in the first volume. It kept repeating itself at some points which I did find boring. Also, the main couple of this story Master Healer Mage Coryn and his slave-boy Raff, did not have the chemistry of Mage Lucan and Tam. They were cute, but their roles were not as fixed as Lucan's and Tam's were. Highlight of this novel(at least for me) is that we do get a glimpse of them again and through Raff's eyes, which I found very sexy :)
ETA: Once more, the cover of the 2nd book is sexy as hell ;) ETA(again): Had to down-grade. Imo this was the weakest out of the three books in the series.

I found myself wishing that there was a book dealing with Elliot's life and experiences before joining the club. Imo it would have been hotter if the book was not that cliched as far as the romance between Lisa/Elliot is concerned, thus the 4 stars. Still a pretty erotic and kinky read though ^__^(less)

I am sure it won't be everybody's cup of tea since it describes a D/s relationship between Dom fortysomething vet Tobias and sub cop Noah. I would have wished a bit more depth to the characters, but I give it 5 stars because it was-oh so sexy! For all of you m/m literature reading kinksters out there I have to say one thing: This book is for you! As for me, I will be starting the next volumes of this series asap ;)(less)

I loved the characters geeky Zach(I have a thing for dorky but sexy hackers, ok?)and messed up Trev (I also have a thing for tormented comic book artists:P). I don't think that the author's writing style is that of a gothy teenager or directed at teenagers drawn to the dark side either. I found her writing style amazing. Especially the parts where the haunted house is described or the glimpses of the New Orleans night life. Kind of refreshing having read a lot of A.Rice in the past. This is the american gothic meets the sexy 90s generation X type of novel, a bit nostalgic since I grew up in the 90s. I think it vaguely reminded me of an old G.Araki film(The Doom Generation, was it?).Oh, and it contains some very, very sexy homoerotic scenes. For those of you who like this sort of thing, invest without fear or shame. Made me wanna listen to Charlie Parker so bad. Might listen to some record of his during my re-read ;)(less)

It's a very quick read and has many adult themes in it such as (minor) S/M rituals and male/male romance. The most striking thing for me, was the universe that the author created. A bleak, undefined, post-war future where cloning is accepted( and cheap) and cloned boys are kept as pets/slaves. They are completely dependent on their onwers and not allowed to have any feelings, let alone display sexual interests, since it's forbidden and dangerous to do so. Meigeharen is one of them. I would personally describe this as a sort of yaoish version of "Bladerunner". Give it a try, you'll definitely find it an interesting read, I sure did :D (less)
