Its not a surprise I loved this as much as I did, because I've loved every book of theirs I've ever had the pleasure to read. PS: my husband thanks you ;) ... TMI? Meh. ::shrugs:: Annyywwaayy.... the book was sexy, but also held a great story. I love that they were able to take what could have easily been a fluffy story, and turn it into something real and relatable. I could absolutely see Ansel and Mia as friends of mine, their fears and worries weren't far-fetched, you could feel them as if you were there with them throughout their journey. And her best friends... words can't describe friendships like that. Now I just want to get my hands on the next installmemt... Harlow's story! I'm sure it won't disappoint....more

(And for the record meeting Katie was one of the highlights of my year -- she's pretty much amazing.)
Now, if you'd excuse me I'm going to hole myself up in my house and read, read, read! :)
If you love Katie's books, you'll love "Nowhere But Here." The subject matter may be a little different, what with Snowflake being a biker town, but the writing is the same we've grown to love. She may think her books are super long, but I feel like they're just the right length - Hell, I'd even settle for longer (I'm a sucker for a good long love story so long as the story warrants it.)
I will say, in the beginning the lies and half-truths in this town were driving me crazy! I seriously wanted to punch someone in the face - Oz - for being such a douche. I mean, I eventually understood WHY he felt the way he did... it just annoyed me.
Don't worry, he more than makes up for it ;)
This story was about Emily and Oz finding themselves through finding each other. A story of second chances. A story about love of all kinds. And a story about pushing ones limits, no matter how uncomfortable that may make us at the time.
I went into reading the book expecting a lot, and Katie didn't disappoint! She delivered characters I wanted to get to know, and a town that I want to visit (if the Riot decides not to come around that is.) I really enjoyed this book!...more

I knew once I got to Chapter 2 it was going to be a book I'd lose myself in. It was either put it down get some sleep and really get into it another day when I had more time, or delve in and see it through til the end. I chose the latter, obv, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I loved, loved, LOVED James! Do you need me to repeat that? No? Okay then. He was just the best. Understanding, hot, adorable, funny, all around amazing... the list goes on. I really enjoyed Candice/Candy. She was entertaining and witty, and though she had her own demons to deal with, she really grew into herself. I loved every minute, even when I was cringing in some parts, or when I wanted to punch her in the face for pushing James away... not that I don't understand why, but still! JAMES! And, Mandy. I loved Candice's best friend. She is the epitome of a BFF, and not to mention part of the reason Candy is Candy! Anywayy.. the end of the story could've been drawn out a bit more, but I still loved it. Definitely worth the read, especially since I got it on my Nook for free! Thank you Mrs Burstein! Now, I'm off to look into any other books of hers I may be able to get my grubby paws on! :)...more
