This story had all of the appeal of an old fairytale with a villain, a beautiful village girl, and of course a handsome hero. I loved the fast pace of this story it was a easy read that I enjoyed getting lost in. What I liked best, however, was the depth of the characters. While there was definitely an old fashioned feel to this tale, there was a bit of darkness to it as well. These characters weren't as sweet or as vicious as their exterior may seem. Also while admittedly there were parts that were predictable I was pleasantly pleased at the unique aspects too.
The romance was well paced and a nice change with all of the heated and fast moving love relationships in literature today. It had that old fashioned courtship appeal, but with a bit of spice added near the end as well. I really appreciated that you could see much of the development and how real it felt between them. There were plenty of obstacles, but their reactions and how they handled everything thrown at them suggested that this love was real and something they would work for.
Keira was a capable, brave, intelligent young woman. She loves her family dearly, but felt neglected by them most of the time. I liked that she used her head even when she was scared out of her mind. She was a rational and kind woman that knew how to live life for today. It was easy to see how she capture the heart of Aaron.
Aaron while charming and handsome was not without fault. He could have a temper and throw a tantrum sometimes, but it was nothing Keira couldn't handle. He was very protective and caring even to those who weren't as forgiving to him. I loved him and his intelligent understanding of others.
I think one of my favorite things about this story was how it handled the villains. They weren't treated with prejudice or seen as just an evil person. Instead their actions and motives were actually explored by the characters. Even when it was a detriment to them they tried to understand where that person was coming from.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a good dragon tale and an old fashioned romance! ...more

This was a quick and romantic read that I couldn't put down. I also really liked the new twist on how the Werebears were created. It was definitely a unique new beginning compared to other shifter stories.
The romance which was the biggest and best part of the story was so sweet I adored the little banter they had going on. You could really see the chemistry between these two. It was also really nice to see that it wasn't insta love (insta lust maybe). They really took the time to get to know one another and the rest of the family.
Kyla was a warm hearted artist who was just seeking some peace and quiet. I thought she was a really sweet character and the perfect match for Aaron. She knew how to handle herself in a fight and wasn't afraid to stand up for or to her bear shifter.
Aaron was a sweetie that could easily melt anyone's heart. He had a playful nature about him and love to make his girl smile. He was however all alpha and as such loved to play rough.
This is a must read for any shifter fans out there! I cannot wait to finish this trilogy....more

Anna Katmore spins a fantastic new tale from an old favorite Neverland! While much of the setting was familiar the author was able to explore it in much more depth and really brought the characters to life. I was also really happy that there was a lot more going on than just the romance as well. There are some interesting things going on in this Neverland that really explain a lot, especially about Peter and Hook. I definitely will never look at these two the same way again.
As secondary characters go my absolute favorite was Tameka who is the pixie who hangs out with Peter. She is so sweet and endearing, but also pretty strong when she needed to be. I hope to see her again in the sequel.
Now my favorite character was definitely Hook (Jamie). He was ruthless and everything a Pirate should be to better put it in his own words:
"And the ugliest, meanest and scariest of them, I was told."
Well scratch the ugly part for sure! However, looks are decieving in this book and when it came to Angel he could be one of the sweetest men out there. Don't let that fool you he is still a pirate and well they love to steal, especially hearts.
The romance was well paced and a bit rocky at first. Even when they were steaming mad at each other you could still see the love brewing. With the help of a couple of lovely and colorful fairies they might have a chance at love, but will Angel still choose to leave forever?
Angelina or Angel for short is one spunky and spirited young girl. Definitely a match for the notorious Captain Hook, but she still was in for the fight of her life. She was caring and loyal even when things were bleak, which I loved about her. I also loved her interactions with Hook. There was never a dull moment between these two and I could not get enough of them!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who has ever wanted to run away to Neverland and maybe a little romance!...more

The author really knows how to keep up the tension and suspense with this action packed romance. I loved the bit of sleuthing and slow build up of the mystery. There is a lot to learn about these characters and we are given just enough to wet our appetite without giving away too much all at once.
Sloane is now one of my favorite heroines. She his spunky, smart, and can take a hit and give it back twofold. I love tough heroines and she had the brains and beauty to go along with it. I also liked that she didn't take anything for granted and really dug into the mystery that was unfolding before her. She also didn't let anybody push her around nobody.
Hayden was a total hunk and even more he was a brainiac. Two of the best combinations smart and hot. He could be bit moody, but considering his situation it was understandable. I liked that he tried to do what was right even if it didn't always turn out exactly right.
The Romance was nicely paced and I always did like the enemies to lovers thing. These two definitely got on each others nerves, but the spark was also there.
So if you are looking for a tough heroine and a well done alien romance check out "Lost in Starlight". I highly recommend this action packed adventure!...more

I will admit that as much as I love love love the kindred series I was a bit scared to see where she would go with this, but once again I had no reason to worry. I have no idea how she can continuously turn out stories that not only put me through the wringer emotionally, but she does. Not only this, but I was simultaneously ecstatic at the ending and begging for the rest of the next story!
Anyway this story did a great job of dealing with some really touchy subjects that involve a bad home life. I love how the characters can be so different and yet have similar experiences that can both pull them apart and bring them together. It took me no time to fall in love with these characters, flaws and all.
I didn't think I could love the gentle Garron more, but this book proved me wrong. He is so sweet, caring, gentle, and all around amazing. It is hard to imagine him having a ferocious beast living inside him. Although he can be pretty growly when needed.
Tess is a kindhearted woman with a dark past. She was easy to relate to and I really felt for her. I was a bit skeptical on a few things she did, but understood given her background. However I was pleased that even given her tragic background she still knew how to stand up for herself. She was a strong heroine and kept going no matter how hard things got.
The romance was of course red hot, but not too fast. They had time to build up and get to know each other. This is one of my favorite things about Evangeline Anderson's books. The build up, it makes everything so much better. Its nice to be able to anticipate the happy ending without it being handed to you on a sliver platter.
I loved the suspense and mystery packed into this story. There were a lot of twists and turns that kept me guessing. TheFamily secrets can be deadly.
I loved the suspense and mystery packed into this story. There were a lot of twists and turns that kept me guessing. The romance was nice and set at a decent pace with no insta love. I really liked the different aspects of this story and the paranormal elements really made the story that much darker.
Eila was a strong heroine with attitude. I loved her sassy nature and that she didn't let others walk all over her. She really held her own even when things started to get messy. Her relationship with Raef was interesting, sweet, and at times funny. There interactions were never boring and I enjoyed seeing Raef getting under her skin even though he could be annoying.
Raef is very protective, strong, and determined. He has lots of secrets and at first is hard to understand, but he has a reason for everything he does. He is kind and loyal to those he loves. I can't wait to see where he and Eila go in the future.
This is one paranormal romance you won't want to miss!...more

Mae has always lived a hard life, but things get so much worse on the night when the craft-born is revealed. This book has a unique blend of magic and mystery that I really enjoyed. There are a lot of secrets in this book and many times I felt like I knew the answer another twist was thrown in.
Mae has a courage that not many ya girls of her age do and I really liked that. She was never the damsel in distress and instead took care of her own problems. I also liked seeing the growth in this character. From the beginning she never depended on others no matter what happened, but as she discovered more with Casimir, its OK to trust others and ask for help sometimes.
Casimir was a bit too full of himself at first, but his and Mae's little spats were hilarious. Over time they were able to strike up a bit of a friendship and he is very loyal. He can also be a bit of a scaredy cat, but he can put up a good front when he needs to.
This is a wonderful coming of age story that is sure to become a book you will want to read again and again....more

This story is every game lovers fantasy. The chance to not only meet your very own hero, but be one as well. The plot was fun and full of surprises! I also really enjoyed the idea of time travel and exploring how it would affect not only people from the future, but the past as well.
The characters were memorable and full of laughs.
Sophie was very easy to relate to (especially if your a gamer girl). She is tough and a quick thinker which serves her well both in the game and in life. I loved her wit and humor as well even when situations got sticky.
Stuart is the kind of friend every gamer girl needs. Always there when you need him and a great partner in crime. He has a really strong bond with Sophie that is plain to see. I loved how he was always ready to help even when the situations includes a long dead king.

This book is full of the wit and charm that I have come to expect from Jennifer's books, but it also has a lot of mysterious elements added. The mystery and suspense really had me guessing throughout the book. There was also a great deal of growing up from the characters in this book. I really liked the premise of this book and the idea of a second chance at life and becoming a different person is very interesting.
Samantha was strong and interesting character. She is very human and makes human mistakes, but she is also willing to learn from them and try to turn her life around. I really admired this about her because lots of people want to be different, but it takes a strong person to really change. I also liked how she tried to be a better person even when she could have gone back to what some believed was her perfect life.
My second favorite character was definitely Carson. He was such a great guy. Not many people would have stayed around to help someone who treated them like garbage, but he did. He is so sweet, understanding, and all around adorable. In fact I can't believe she didn't fall in love with him even with her past personality. He is the kind of guy that everyone should have around and never lets you down.
This story was one of the most fascinating ones I have read in a while. I really enjoyed seeing Sam grab hold of her fractured life and start to better herself even if it was an uphill battle. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in a heart pounding thriller and a dash of romance....more

The marriage of the century that's what. This story is full of intrigue, clashing of the minds, and romance. Navigating the twists and turns was so much fun. There is a lot of emotion packed into this novella that readers will not be able to get enough of.
No wilting flower Jocelyn is one of a kind in an era where women were taught to be obedient. Not only is she willful, stubborn, and with a mouth on her to boot she also knows what she wants and does whatever it takes to get it. I loved Jocelyn and her courage and strength to do what had to be done. She is spunky and with an outer shell that seems very tough, but on the inside she is a really kind and gentle soul.
Sebastian is the perfect opponent to Jocelyn and is fully capable of taking anything she can dish out. He is very honorable and charming even in the face of Jocelyn's cutting remarks. He knows how to push her buttons and I loved seeing these two banter. Sebastian is also very patient, which is a good thing because it will take a lot to win over Jocelyn. The chemistry between these two practically sizzled off the pages.
