Plot: I’ve been here before. After reading the first two books in the series, nothing much has change. There is still the power struggle, the drama with the unanswered questions and of course the uncertainty of Levi and Allie’s relationship. Half way through the book, things finally peaked up with a bit of different plot turns with character betrayals.
Love: Honestly, after Allie playing the “hard to get card/I’m going to college/Not getting married young” rant, I’m glad that she FINALLY chose something. I was getting a little frustrated with always holding Levi back. Now that both are on the same page, their relationship moves forward at a great pace that gave me some closure since the story was about to end. Though I wished, I could have basked in their romance a bit more. If you ask me, I felt like their relationship moved a little too fast in this story. It was like the author was trying to play catch up, getting them to FINALLY love each other and then BAM! FIGHT!
Secret Society: One thing I really enjoyed is getting to know more about Levi and his people. Allie is thrown into a world that has great history. I loved being in Allie’s shoes, learning every bit about these people. Allie herself, even learn more about why she is so drawn to Levi and his people. This part is very fun and entertaining.
Found is an okay read that closes well. The fast-paced love along with a throwback to history, Found is good.(less)

Plot: This is about a girl who had been hand picked as a host for an exchange program with the Aliens. Cara does her best to welcome the alien but of course, with things unknown, people are afraid. There are plenty of events that are leading to more action, lots of teenage angst and even a war.
Aliens: First off, I want to say that the idea of the story is intriguing. What is really going on behind the scenes, intrigues me even more. As the reader gets more time in Aelyx’s shoes and learn who he is, I got anxious as the story moved on. There are lots of secrets in which hold Aelyx where he is. He is determined to stick to the plan but other things come into play. Like his feelings…
What I didn’t like is the plot did move a a bit slow in the beginning. There was a lot of foundation building to the story that the reader must know before the plot could move on. History of the earth, getting to know Aliens and Cara’s life leading up to now.
Bulling: There is lots of this going on. The bullying that is added in the story makes the story come to life. The reader sees the hurt and painful relationships that Cara and her family go through. There are threats, job losses, canceled events all cause people don’t want to be around the Aelyx yet they want to know. Threats escalated to more threats till there was a full on war. I think this aspect of the story can be portrayed in real life. People go through so much being judge yet people want in their business. At least, that is the way I saw it.
Love: In the end, it was love that conquered all. They decided that despite what everyone else thought, they were doing this together. And that made me smile. I like that once every secret was out, they fought to be by each other’s side no matter the cost. It was love and family that change Aelyx’s mind. He saw the dimension and solace that it brings and fell into it unaware.
Overall, I think that this is a pretty good book. I would love to read the second book to see where the characters are going. An excellent start in a series that portrays emotions at its fullest, Alienated is great. (less)

Plot: So the plot pretty much picks up where the last book left off. They are on the run and coming into other problems they did not see coming. I like that this plot goes deeper than what the reader thinks. There are many secrets exposed and new characters coming to light. The reader also sees other character finally coming out in their thoughts and emotions. Let’s just say that I was intrigued pretty much from start to finish.
Love/Friendship: I want to say soooo much! But ahhh, I don’t want to ruin it for everyone. But know this, there are characters coming out that will blow your mind. Don’t think for a second that you got it all figured out because in the end…BAM!
Ending: When you get to the end and pretty much all the secrets are out, it just mind blowing. I think I sat there for a few minutes, going through my mind of what I just read. It’s… I can’t even think of words right now. But this story is good. Real good. So good that I need the next book already.
This story is amazeballs! It captures the reader with elusive plot twists and secrets. An engaging story that builds nicely around the reader, Erased is clever. Delivering an extremely entertaining read, Erased is brilliant. (less)

Plot: The plot is awesome. It’s edgy, its dark. It contains lots of great elements that pull the reader into the story. Though not everything is given to the reader at once, it simply leaves a trail of delicious bread crumbs for the reader to follow. With every piece, the story evolves, becoming much more potent at the end. I want to say more but… Look, just read the book okay?
Love: This love has got to be the most wonderful and painful love ever. So many mistakes. So little time to fix them all. The past holding them back. The whole dynamic of their relationship and the love it brings to them is strong. I felt so taken back by the amount of trials that they went through. And for the guy to do so much for forgiveness and a second chance, its lovely.
Ending: I knew half way through that there is more than what I’m seeing. And when I got to the tidbit at the end…O.M.G. I love it. I love how well the author kept the reader entertain, that the reader could not see what is coming. It’s a hard truth to swallow. And yet it changes many things. But there is one thing that it can’t change…love.
I adored this book! It’s riveting and exciting that I still can’t get it out of my head. An edgy portrait of two people looking for forgiveness, the story can capture any reader. The struggle for a normal life, the pain of what they live through, Ten Ting Breaths is a successful start to the series. A stark and powerful drama, Ten Ting Breaths is stunning.(less)

Plot: First, thing the plot is well written. It pulls the reader in with the mystery of Annalise and where she’s been. Having no memory and as stranger always leaving cryptic messages, I was fully intrigued. The more I dived into Annalise’s head and the more I saw, the more I became attached and utterly wowed by what is actually happening.
Movement: What bothered me the most is the development of the story. It moved slowly (a little slow for my liking) and really I’m an impatient reader. Once questions start popping in my head, I begin rushing my reading cause I need to know. Even though it was slow, I understood that the foundation for the story needed to be set in order for the reader to understand.
Love/Friendship/Deal with evil: Now there are a few parts of the story that start to look hopeful and the next thing you know, BAM! Right back into darkness. Just when you think you got it figured out, your lost again cause of a cyrptic message. Not to mention, that once I got last few chapters and all was revealed I was like,” WHAAAAAAAT!”
The detailing of the story is what makes it beautiful. It’s the little things that you catch as your reading. Her covered in blood, memory loss, a friend from the past. Every thing put together makes for an excellent thriller. Terrifying and solid, Another Little Piece is great. (less)

Plot: This plot for me moved slow and seemed a bit cliched at some parts. The plot played out exactly how I thought it would and of course didn’t really have any emphasis on a life changing moment. There was drama, boys, and money involved in every aspect.
Love: It was instant which turned me off completely. Not to mention that of course they would fall in the love. The rich boy and the poor girl from the city. I was hoping that there would be meaningful moments but instead of living in the moment their constants thoughts were on money and what would happen afterward.
Working: I found it weird how easily this girl got every comfortable living with other people she is supposed to be working for. She acted like she lived there. There were certain moments where my stomach churned at the thought of her loosing what she went there in the first place.
Overall, I don’t think this book lived up to my expectations. The ending felt rushed, like the author was trying to make up for the plot int he beginning. For me, this book had lots of buildup but not enough action. Rules Of Summer is okay. (less)

Plot:. If you like end of the world plots, you must read this. It builds up nicely from the past, present and then the future. Every chapter aimed at the reader the outpouring of emotions as well as great character buildup. Towards the end of the book, small pieces are revealed and I’m happy to say that I am excited to read the next book.
Drama: There is buildup between the character’s past life and families. Even though the parents weren’t in the present, they played a big role in the past and future. This book moved between multiple povs of Cassie, Even and her past crush. I really like how everything weaved together nicely. Nothing is left out so that the reader can understand what is going on from chapter to chapter.
Aliens: YES! It is alien invasions. In these moments, going through wave after wave it gave me goose bumps. It thrilled me with the different dimensions of the way people reacted. Some took it hard, others didn’t care, and others got scared. Watching the world crumble at the mere tip of my fingertips was the most exciting thing I ever experienced.
My only gripe is the pacing of the story. Some parts of the story were slow, but I also understand that, that was due to the building up of the world the author created. Really, it was me being impatient and wanting it to move to the next scene.
The Fifth Wave accomplishes what it set out to do- to WOW the reader. The world and it’s complexity of the invasion in both past and present, sets the reader in an uncontrollable wave of excitement. Want to read something that will blow your mind? Check out The Fifth Wave. You won’t regret it. (less)

Plot: This story pick up where the last book left off. Both Fi and Asher are fighting against time to get back to their home. In the midst of all of that, they are fighting nature as well. I think the plot flowed well with excitement and adventure. Each chapter gave the reader more information about the world collapsing, the food and of course the ones who started the rebellion.
Love: Fi and Asher go through some pretty heavy stuff as being a such a young age. They already have to endure the world falling apart and now they are trying to save it. I like how well these two grew together and not apart. When they needed each other, they were there. They put everything aside just to make sure the other was okay. I really loved how well they communicated and the strength they give each other.
Earth: Once I finish reading this story it got me thinking about food. It is true that most of the food I eat is well…not even real. It’s bagged and processed and who knows if what I’m eating is effecting my body. Maybe it even cause the Autism in my son. *Shrugs* I’ll never know. What I do know is that I made a personal goal to eat more real food. I plan on visiting my local farmers market and picking out fresh vegetables and fruits with the family. It’s a start.
Overall, Emergence is fine ending to a great series. It brings out all the truth, tying up each loose end nicely. It gives hope to the reader with the first sign of green. A remarkable ending, Emergence is wonderful (less)

Plot: I really loved how the plot is getting deeper with emotions and secrets. It moves well along with the characters giving them growth and depth. The plot also moves with political affairs and of course, the struggle for power. As the plot thickens, all the characters are tested, some quit hiding and others take chances.
Love: I'm happy to announce that there is finally some movement with Finely and Griffin. They have been doing the same tango for so long I wanted nothing more then for them to be together. YES! We have movement. It's not exactly all there but it sure is something to look forward to.
Steampunk: There are many new machines and other new minor characters that come into play. I really loved watching this aspect of the story. Seeing them use what they have for good or at least to help one another makes them stronger together.
Jack: All I can say is, I want to learn more of this character. I have a feeling that there are things we the readers don't know yet.
The Girl With The Iron Touch is a moving story with lots of action. Creating a great world full of many destinations, The Girl With The Iron Touch is awesome. (less)

Plot: This plot picks up where the last book left off and the reader is back in London where Juliet is trying to go on with her life. But we all know that dark things don’t always stay in the past. There are a slew of murders going on and people who Juliet thought she left behind come back. One thing about this plot is that the reader gets to know other minor characters really well. I liked getting to know them and the roles they play in Juliet’s life. Of course the re-introduction to other characters from the first book makes it much better.
Love: This is the part the bothered me the most. This chick CAN NOT MAKE UP HER MIND! I mean once minute she is all gun-ho for one guy then the next it’s a mistake, blah, blah, blah. And don’t even get me started on the secrets she is keeping as well.
Ending: The ending leaves the door open for the last book, following many questions that I like to see answered. Also, secrets lots of them that are bound to come out.
Overall, this is a great sequel. There is plenty of drama and great plot twists that keep the reader in their seat. Believe me, you won’t be bored. Just beware of the love interest, that area might sting a bit. A sleek read that is sure to capture the reader, Her Dark Curiosity is a savage twist of love and science. (less)

Plot: So this plot moves on with Kira leading the fight and moving on. Many trials come against Kira, leaving her to become even stronger. I really like how each chapter, the reader is able to know Kira more. She becomes just what the titles says, a warrior.
Love: Now this area is an area I wish would develop some more. There is a love interest but I feel like the reader just gets a taste of it. Little flirtation here and there and really, I yearn for this stuff. I wanted more to come along but something always happen leaving the love right where it is. Moving very slowly…
Ending: I do love however how well this book ended. It ended with enough drama and secrets to make me want the next book. I look forward to reading how the series will conclude. The ending does pose some questions but I’m hoping that in the next book, this questions will be addressed.
If anything, I’m pumped and excited for the next book! I’m ready for that love interest to soar (pretty please)! Warrior is a strong sequel carrying the reader into admirable characters and action. A powerful story that captures fantasy well, Warrior is great. (less)

Plot: I’m all for classic re-tales. In fact, I’m always looking for the next great read in this area. And then this book fell in my lap and OMG, it’s amazing. If you read the synopsis then you know that this is a re-tale of Beauty and The Beast. I think the creativity for this story, the development of the characters and the world around it is an success.
Love: This is the part that captured me the most. The reader is introduced to the Gentle Lord, who is cursed. I enjoyed the way the reader got to know this guy. At first he is all business making snide remarks, but then his shell starts to peel away one by one, and were left with a guy who is not who we thought he is. I also really enjoyed Nyx’s growth as well. She is funny, strong, and her snarky comments kept me snickering through out the book. She too begins to understand that her plan will not go through as expected. She things differently and it changes her.
Ending: I love the ending. I like how Nyx stood up and fought for what she believed in. She took everything in with stride, throwing it back out at others. She captures the readers pulling them along for a ride that is different and unique.
Overall, I’m very happy and impressed with this story. I can totally go back and read it again. Smart and sophisticated, Cruel Beauty is an memorable read. Crafted with the beauty of deception, magic, and love, the story is an never-wavering inspiration. Profounding and engaging, Cruel Beauty steals the show! (less)

I hadn’t read a book that contained fairies or a world that has fairies in it so I picked up this book. Surprisingly, it held me interest more than what I thought.
Plot: This is about fairies who protect the royal line to protect their magic. They need their human line in order to stay alive. With technology gaining speed, fairies are dying out and need the royal line to survive. Unfortunately, some fairies don’t think otherwise. I really liked this plot. I like that it gave a good background to fairies and the royal line. I even liked the drama of protecting the royal line and why they had to do it.
Love/Friendship: This is the part that is iffy for me. The love interest felt like an ints a-love. One minute she meets him and the ext BAM! She can’t stay away from him. I really wanted more of a relationship (which did happen but more at the end.) For me, I think if the friendship built up a bit more slowly instead of the prince being a drunk, I would of liked it a bit more.
Emry: I admire this fairy. I adore her fierceness to protect her kind and the royal line. I like that she set aside everything for others and hardly thought of herself. In fact, I wanted her to think more of what she wanted then what everyone else wants. She has good gut instinct that lead her to where she needed to be.
Overall, this is well written fun read. It was a bit different than what I expected but that is good. It kept me on my toes. All That Glows carries a compelling storyline till the end. All That Glows is great. (less)

Pl...moreIf you know me, then you’ll know how much I love a good romance. Especially one that alters the lives of the people that you least expect….yourself.
Plot: I adored this plot. Layed out nicely, with a touch of realism, I couldn’t help but fall in love with this book. Every turn of the page, lead me to a deeper knowledge of the characters and where they are leading. The way that Wren and Grayson lives collided in such a dramatic way, I knew to expect nothing but greatness when it comes to these two. Watching their perspectives change, is the best part. Growth in the character along with the plotting of the past coming back to haunt them, makes this story even better.
Love: Who doesn’t love a rich guy/down to earth girl fall in love? I adored Wren and the way she made Grayson questions things. He was so stuck in his ways, so stuck with the idea of “nothing is going to change. I ruined everything.” Wren gave him that hope. She helped him see past his errors and made him worthy of himself. And of course in time, they fell in love. Oh and not to mention, Wren did save his life.
Drama: One of the best areas of the book is fighting the past. Grayson has done some bad things and has been dealt a bad set of cards. He plays it off as if it is nothing but he really is worried about how his life will end up. Sometimes the past can hurt. And having Wren by Grayson’s side, it helps him alleviate that pain. Or rather, face it.
This is a great book that I highly enjoyed. Addicting from the start, The Promise Of Amazing is a successful story of love and forgiveness. Smart and engaging, The Promise Of Amazing is awesome. (less)

Ever since I saw the movie Total Recall (the older version) I became fascinated. There is a part in the movie where anyone can rent out a space and play out whatever fantasy they want. Similarity in Elusion, this is an app. And let me tell, the what this app can do is way cool!
Plot: This is about a girl, Regan who is the daughter of a scientist. This scientist events the ultimate app. In this app, you can create whatever place you want to visit or relive. After all it’s all in your head. But we all know with technology too much of one thing is bad. And soon this app is causing deaths. Regan must follow bread crumbs her father left in order to find out what secrets are being kept. It’s a very intriguing plot that kept me firmly in my seat. Be aware that there is a lot of plot build up. It may seem slow, but once all the pieces are together it’s amazing.
Friendship/Love: Through out the story, Regan is already close friends with her fathers protégé. He has fallen for her and yet she meets another guy, who just so happens to be an enemy of the other guy and the love triangle begins. You know, in this part I was a bit skeptical with the whole love triangle and how it would play out. Since there were a lot of lies, the reader could easily see where Regan’s heart lies, still I had to hold my breathe some in certain parts.
Ending: It ended nicely, concluding the story with plenty to go on if the authors want to continue it. I’m not sure if this book will have a sequel (if it does, please let me know) but if there was one to come out, I’d read it. The scientific aspect alone keeps me firmly in the story.
In the end, I think everyone should go out and read this book. It has plenty to offer with an intriguing plot that is built nicely for the reader to immerse in. The most important part of the book is following the clues so pay attention and enjoy the ride. A delightful story that captures sci-fi at its best, Elusion is clever. (less)

Plot: So the plot moves a bit slow in the beginning but thats because the reader is getting caught up on what is happening after the second book. After that, its takes off into lots of action and drama. Every little detail is explain nicely and carried into the new chapter well. I don’t think there is ever a dull moment in the book.
Love/Friendship: We do get point of views from Kira as well as Sam and a few other characters. Each point of view is well done with plenty of detail. It flowed smoothly and as I read, it painted a pretty good picture in my mind. The development of a certain love interest kept me going and I HOPED that she choose who I wanted. Indeed she did.
Ending: I think the way the whole story came together gave it so much umph and adventure. There are certain plot twists that totally surprised me and had me shocked. Still, I adored it.
Constructed smart and luring, Ruins is an exciting conclusion. The attention to detail with what happens with the DNA and scientific experiments had me completely intrigued. If your in for a epic adventure, then read Ruins. (less)

Plot: The plot begins with the author giving a good and quick back round on the main character Callie. As the reader, we see how she lives her day to day life and the events that lead up to it ending. I like that even in the first few chapters their are subtle hints of foreshadowing and emotions that I picked up on. And right away, I was hooked. I finish this book late into the evening and wanted more.
Love/Friendship: This is the main heart of the story since it focuses on a love that is cut short. As the reader, we see the great friendship that Callie had with her best friend. Their moments of small talk, advice and things they did together really shows how good their friendship was. On the other hand, the boyfriend is well…don’t want to say too much but I get it.
Ending: Initially, I was going to give this book a 4. Then I read the last chapter. I have not had a good shock in a book that swept the rug out from under me so yes. After my jaw-dropped and my mind reeled, it became a 5. That ending sealed the deal.
Ashes To Ashes combines great elements with an amazing plot, bringing the reader to an epic story. The deeper the reader goes into the story, the more real it becomes. Ashes To Ashes give strength for a sequel, should there be one and I, for one, would love to read it. A huge success that took my by surprise, Ashes To Ashes is an success. (less)
