I enjoyed reading this book. It was not the same as Jessica Guide to Dating on the Dark Side. I felt there was something missing in it. The book was well written and had a good plot. I wish there was some more dialogue between Jill and Tristian falling for each other. I would have like to seen Jill and Tristian getting to know each other more than having to spend time with each based on a curse Jill's family out on Tristian's. ...more

You get to know someone, fall in love, and then BAM! Once you think you settled in, things are going fine, your significant others skeletons start coming out of the closet. What do you do? Who do you believe? Can you believe anything that he says to you after he lied for so long to you?
Poor Luce. This book was nothing but a downer. A major downer. I love it! There was so much drama, so many secrets, and so many new characters, I just had to keep in reading :)
We all know relationships can be hard. That is what Luce and Daniel experience. First, they fought for their love now they fight to stay together. I hate to say this, but why is it that guys always lie? Poor Luce finds out she had been lied too and now she goes off seeking the truth. I felt like alot could have been avoided, had Daniel been honest.
The relationship strained between Daniel and Luce played out well. All the stuff, secrets held back was wonderful. Absolutely delightful. I enjoyed watching not only Luce grow, but Daniel learned somethings the hard way as well.
The new characters in this book rock! I loved how the parts they played, played a significant role in Daniel and Luce's story. Now Daniel has some competition! I believe Luce intentions were well intended. Although I don't think she meant for it to happen that way, but it did. Now she'll have to figure things outs.
What I enjoyed most was Luce finally coming to her own. She always followed Daniel and his rules. Here, she finally breaks free of it, takes control and goes after what she needs. I love how she became strong in who she was. No matter how many times she almost got killed.

After Julia's boyfriend, Griffin, dies in a tragic accident, things go all wrong. People are getting the wrong impression from her mourning and just wants everything to go back to the way it use to be. Bret, Griffin's best friend, begins hanging out more with Julia. Griffin now a sandman is having a hard time adjusting to his new life and that means watching Julia.
Eron has been a sandman for a century and is Griffin's mentor. He has also watched Julia for a long time. He cares for her deeply and is waiting for the training to be done so he can have a chance with Julia. But with Griffin messing in a world he longer belongs in, trouble begins to brew.
Julia has never had a dream about Griffin. Now all of the sudden he begins showing up in her dreams angry. Personal items are being misplaced and some things changed. Julia suspects she is being haunted by her dead ex-boyfriend but dismisses the idea. All she knows is something is not right.
First off, Eron was such a great character and a guy (if I was not married) I would totally date. He is respectful, trustworthy, and very gentlemanly. He is very courteous with Julia and wants nothing more but to protect her, guide her. I did laugh and felt sorry for him at the same time because of the way he was being treated. Here was a young man, who has been dead since the 1900's and has no idea of the way of the world today. I wanted badly to step inside the book and help the guy out. After all, he doesn't know what to do.
This book is everything I thought it would be. Adventurous, witty, and great writing. I love the plot and the many twist in the story. I like how she worked with two different characters, from two different worlds. The twist in the story were out of this world. Dreams to nightmares. Risking everything your worked for to protect another. Cyn did a fabulous job. I could not be happier with her book.
If you have not, check this book out. It is simply an amazing read that will have a hold on you. Cyn's unique interpretation of the Sandman was nothing that I have seen before. Sleepless is definitely a book to read this summer.

My. God. I have never read anything so enticing, so delicious that I just want to sit down and re-read it over and over again. From the very first page I was hooked on Varen. I fell for him hard. When Isobel started protecting him, I felt protective. He was one character that Ms. Kelly hit right on. She describe and wrote him so well, that for a moment, I knew this guy was real. That there was no way someone could write about Varen and have no one who inspired him.
This book was so dark and intense. Even so, I was smiling all day long while I read this book. I don't think I ever done that. I know that my face shows a lot of emotions while I read a book and to know that my co-workers asked,"That must be a good book if your smiling like that." Indeed it was.
Mr. Creagh, you have "WOW"ed me,... So intensely that I desperately would like to meet Varen and look into his dark, tense eyes and would like to know his life. I love everything about Isobel as well. I found that her character was not only inspiring but redeeming. I like how well Isobel characters showed all of her emotions. Nothing hiding but all laid for all to see.
If you like dark, angst book with a real life love that goes beyond death, you should read this. I loved this book and can not wait to see what Ms. Creagh writes next!

I loved how it stood out above others and how well written it was. From the very first page, I was hooked. I would not stop reading until the very end. And even then, I did not have enough.
Evie was a great unique character. Everything about her was written beautiful and just her alone is someone I love to be best friends with. Even though secrets were kept from her, she was able to surpass all of the hurt and anger and be someone better. For that, it made me admire her more.
The love interest in this story was hit right on. All the elements in it were perfect. The guy was just gorgeous, sweet and felt very real. The love between is one I had not read about in a long time and that is an innocence love. Even though it did not get said, they love each deeply just by the actions alone. Everything they did, they did for each other, protecting each other, fight for each other. I also like how everything for them was a first. It makes it even sweeter.
This book was one bleep of an adventure and one that I would most bleeping definitely take again. Should you read this. You bleeping should!...more

It was so intense, I even got angry, had to put the book down then come back to it later. Hayden is curse with feeling every ones emotions. Sometimes she needs to leave in order to make her feel better. She meets Daniel who is a new arrival at their sanctuary. Daniel is dark and mysterious and is holding a secret.
Hayden and Daniel have an instant connection. During this time, Hayden begins to wonder where he really came from and if he is who he says he is. She doesn't see him shift. In she never does. At first she thought he was human and can't shift at all. Then she finds out what he really is.
Hayden is being chase by a Harvester. A nasty creature bent on eating her. She turns to help from Daniel, who seems to know a lot about these things. During their time of getting to know each other, Daniel finally grows comfortable enough to tell her his secret. He is not a werewolf but a panther! Hayden is surprised by this knowledge. She finds out that Daniel's people and family have been wiped out by Harvesters and came to the shifter sanctuary to find a way to kill it. His mother told him to go there for help. Daniel thought it was a place for all shifters, not just werewolf.
They run into more drama and this is were Hayden really ticked me off. She betrayed him! In the moment that Daniel needed her the most, in order to save her own butt she reveals to the consul that Daniel is not only who he says he is but a panther! Daniel is immediately hurt and angry at her betrayal. The council has no other choice but to lock Daniel up seeing that he deceive them all. And what does Hayden do? Instead of sticking up for the guy she supposedly loves she just lets them take him away as if he was really going to hurt them. UGH!!
Oh and this part gets me even more angry. In the end, being the nice guy Daniel is. He forgives her and takes her back. After she betrayed him, she is immediately almost killed by the Harvester. Daniel hears her cries, breaks out of the cage, goes after to save her. Let me tell you, if it was me, I would have left her there. She can save herself! But no, Daniel rushes out, save her and forgives her.
Sigh, this was a great book. I loves the twist to the plot, the betrayal thing totally got me, let me tell ya. But this book was a great read, easy and fast. I would really like another shifter book to come out soon. There was some underage drinking in the book. Other than that, the book was clean.

At the age of four, Bryn watched a rogue werewolf brutally murder her parents. Alone in the world, she was rescued and taken in by the mysterious Callum, the alpha of his werewolf pack. Now fifteen, Bryn’s been raised as a human among werewolves, adhering to the pack rule (mostly). Little fazes her. But the pack’s been keeping a secret, and when Bryn goes exploring against Callum’s direct orders, she find Chase, a newly turned Were locked in a cage. Terrifying memories of the attack on her mom and dad come flooding back. Bryn needs answers, and she needs Chase to get them. Suddenly, all allegiances to the pack no longer matter. It’s Bryn and Chase against the werewolf world, whatever the consequences.”
This books was intense from beginning to the very end. We meet Bryn who has the knack of getting into trouble. A lot. She a feisty teenager and does not like to be dominated. After the tragic murder of her parents Bryn was given to Ali who is her adoptive mom. Callum the alpha, putting bodyguards on Bryn and gave her a new curfew. Bryn new something was up and no one was telling her anything. Bryn tries to get Ali to tell her, but Ali uses her cards as well. Ali is currently very pregnant and very stressed. Since werewolf pregnancies sometimes lead to death, Bryn promises to leave it alone until after the babies are born. Bryn does not want to put anymore stress on Ali. Bryn keeps her promise until Ali goes into labor. Bryn could not handle it anymore and leaves. She runs to Callum’s house where she meets Chase. Chase is a newly turned werewolf and is found in the basement screaming for help. Bryn of course was discovered and punished. But she couldn’t help the pull she felt toward Chase. She knew there was something about him.
She then makes a deal with Callum and he agrees to allow her to see him under certain conditions. Bryn follows all conditions and meeting with well. Except the last meeting. Bryn discovers a secret that Chase had and somehow re-arranged the bonds between the pack, Bryn and Chase. From here things just gets worse. The pack comes running in demanding to know what happen. In all honesty, I don’t think Bryn was aware of what she was doing. After arranging the bonds, Chase was first to her and vice-versa then the pack second. Bryn now only did the impossible but she also broke many pack laws, including the agreement she made with the alpha. That meant she was to be punished. That meant blood.
The next part made me cry when I read it. I was feeling exactly what Bryn felt. Hurt, betrayal, sadness. How could the pack do this to them? How could Callum, whom she seen as a father figure all her life, keep such a secret from her? Well Ali wasn't haven’t it. She immediately pack their stuff and decidedly to leave. Soon Ali, her new born twins, and Bryn where off to a new town. From here lots of action/drama comes in.
Just because Bryn left doesn’t mean she ended the pursuit. Bryn new the rogue wolf who killed her parents was out there alive, hurting others. Bryn gathers her closes friends and defeats the rogue, making Bryn the new alpha!
Jennifer Barnes had me seating at the edge of my seat. At times I had to set the book down just to get a hold of myself. Yet I couldn’t. I had to know what would happen next. Jennifer delivered a good well-rounded not typical werewolf story. All I know is, Jennifer could write one hell of a book.

As this is Anastasia debut let me say her book was absolutely wonderful. Shadow Hills did not disappoint at all. I was glad that this book finally came in and so happy to read it. I love the plot and the drama in the book. Anastasia did a great job on the build up of suspense in the book. Her characters were real and the feelings that she portrays in them are great. Her writing was good with explicit detailing of every feeling, emotions, expression. I was left with wanting more.
Shadow Hills is great book and a great debut. I had no trouble getting into the book as it had already quickly sucked me in from the very beginning. Everything from her writing to the characters was a great experience in reading.

Isabel is a shifter, sworn to protect the king. Isabel wast taken from the forest by the new king, seeking her protection. Isabel goes with him, but does not remember the past. She knows that something happen in the past and is haunting her.
Isabel begins to quickly pick up on things from the past putting them together. Will she ever discover the puzzles to unlock what happen the fateful day?
I admit that the beginning of this book confused me. Usually I am very good at picking up things, but this book was written so suspenseful that it took me a while to see the big picture. I was intrigued by the very idea of this type of shifter and all the drama that is going on. I loved the way the characters played out in the medieval times. Even how Isabel loyalty was tested and wavered was good. I was captured by all the suspense. It seems like at every turn of a new page a new secret was revealed to Isabel bringing her one step closer to what really happened.
Leah wrote this book really good. I have never come across a book in the ya genre that is that suspenseful. She had me hooked right away. The way she tied it all up in the end was an added bonus. I would have like to read a little more romance, but in all it was a great read.

Anyways, he ends up dying from all the drugs in his system. This is the start of an adventure in which Aura finds out her life is all that she thought it could be.
In this world they had something called the Shift. A certain point in time in which something cause something in the world to allow people to see ghost. If you were born after a certain day, you can see ghosts. If you were born before you can't. The have boxes all over place catching ghost and sending them away. Aura can see Logan ghost and he is angry. Instead of moving on he hangs around making it difficult for his family and for her to move on knowing that he is till there.
Aura meets Zachery.A handsome young boy who has a connection with her. She is the first and he is the last.Their friendship and recent connection bring down the government on them.
This book was a great adventure. I loved the plot and the connections. Jeri did a great job building everything between these two. I love the major connection between them. The romance between them was great. The drama was another great point as well. Mostly this story is different from most ghost stories. It not the same ghost haunting. Instead they use ghost to help solve murders, etc. Even the way the government involved was a great twist in the story.
Jeri did a great job writing this. I was engrossed in reading this that it didn't even take me more than a couple of hours to read it. Her story and the way that she wrote it had me hook from the beginning. If you want a completely different type of ghost story with great drama and real characters, read this.

We learned that she new born vampire, created to kill Bella. The other newborns around her don't know much either, but Bree is quickly catching on.
It become obvious that Bree immediately has a connection with Deigo. The friendship they had grew into something more. I smiled at the prospect of Deigo being Bree's mate. I wished that could've been, but sadly no.
I was gald to hear her side of the story when she met the Cullen's. She wanted to live, but she knew she wouldn't. In a way she kind of remined me of Bella. At the end, she asked Edward to be nice to Freaky Fred is he or his family ever ran into him.
I guess I expected a little more insight. I wanted more infor on Bree herself. This book was a small, fast, easy read. No curse words or sexual references. Another great part about this book was the donation given when buying this book. I was happy to help.
What happens when all you think is bad things? Bad things happen right? Well, Lena thinks nothing but the worse, bringing the worse to her and Ethan. What happens when all you think is bad things? Bad things happen right? Well, Lena thinks nothing but the worse, bringing the worse to her and Ethan. It forms for a great plot and drama in the book. Also, a lot of heart ache.
Ethan is struggling. Lena is in la la land and he just can't seem to bring her back. On top of all of that, he is now seeing weird things. Visions, if you will. He needs to tell her, but she is unstable. Ethan comes into the hands of a new trainee. A girl who is training to be a Caster Librarian.
Relationship Strain. Major Strain. Plus a re-bound. All of this and more in the book. I love how well the plot came the be and the secrets that were spilled. More was learned about Ethan parents and their secret relationship. Which I have to say, really blew me away. I did not see that coming. I knew their was some kind of a connection, but WOW!
Ethan is alone. All alone. And when people feel alone, they turn to someone who is there. Lena is also struggling with herself. She feels heavy guilt with everything that has happen. And instead of confining in Ethan, she throws herself to the wolves finding herself in a whole lot of trouble. I love how Ethan, even though he was hurt, he fought for her. At one point, I felt like she didn't even deserve him. But Ethan loved her so much he fought, dragging along his friend and re-bound girl.
I do feel bad for this girl. But I was glad that she saw the love that Ethan had for Lena and let it be. She didn't freak out or be hurt. She knew who his heart belong to. I admire her greatly.
I do however, wish their was more action. The drama was good, just a little too much. I love how in the end they were able to defeat what they were fighting and find each other. But even when you think that you are done, there is always something more.
