I have already read the other two books and have loved this one just as much as the others.
This one is a bit darker in the murder scenes. But at the same time it's pretty much focused on Pain and Marco so it all makes sense. There is plenty of action from beginning to end. There are also humorous moments that you will find yourself laughing at. Pain and Marco are two of my favorite characters from this series. They have a dark sense of humor and make great friends together.
I cannot wait to read more in this series and from this author! This e-book was provided to me for review. This did not affect my review in any way....more

I really enjoyed learning how Marco came to the Sky Ghosts headquarters. How Marco and Pain's friendship didn't quite start out that way. There is lots of action and humor. I would have loved for it to have been longer, I just want to read more of this series. There are plenty of laughable moments that I didn't expect from Marco or Pain. This is a fast paced, well written short story. I can't wait to continue reading this series! This e-book was provided to me for review. This did not affect my review in any way....more

Harkreader hooked me from the beginning and kept me reeled in the entire length of the book. It has a mixture of magic, fantasy, adventure, romance with a sense of real imagination. I really enjoyed reading it, five stars all the way!
The first part of the story takes place in Tokyo, Japan while it quickly moves to the magical land of Avalon. Jasper has been around for a long time since his blood was cursed by a evil goddess many years ago. Vincent is another one who has been cursed by the same goddess and is always trying to get Jasper to side with him. Together they can bring the goddess back and start a new world. Hanako and her two brothers live with their grandmother in Tokyo, their parents were killed years ago. They believe that they are just normal humans. They have no idea that they are actually Fae and that their grandmother put a spell on them so they wouldn't find out. Well that is until they do. That is when everything changes. One of the brothers is captured and turned evil.
Hanako, her brother Tenchi team up with Jasper to try to find their brother and stop Vincent and the goddess. Many exciting things happen once they are in Avalon. Some good, some bad and all really fun to read. The story takes the characters on an adventure with good and evil that they soon won't forget.
I don't want to give away any spoilers so I will just tell you this is a must read. The action and suspense never stops. There is a lot of magic and just enough innocent romance to lighten things up at times. There were moments when my heart was pounding and I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know what was going to happen next. The cliffhanger ending will leave you breathless and wanting more. I know I want to read the next book when it is available! This author will be one I will be on the lookout for more books from. This e-book was provided to me for review. InThe Maladorn Scroll is a five star book in my opinion! It is definitely worth reading this series, it gets better and more exciting with each book.
In this one we get to travel between Montana and Tenavae thanks to Alora and someone else. That someone is making portals and they need to figure out who it is and how they are doing it. Alora and her friends are in the fight of their lives throughout this book. I loved that the same characters have continued throughout the story and we get to learn more about them with each book. Vindrake is still his evil self causing havoc wherever he goes.
There is so much going on all the time with the characters. But at the same time the author does not overload the reader with too much information at one time, just enough for what's happening at the moment. If you thought the previous books were exciting, wait till you read this one. My heart was pounding with the suspense and action throughout. There is just enough clean romance to add to everything I love about this series.
The story will have you hooked from the first page to the last. I am not going to say anything more that happens because I don't want to give anything away. I will tell you that there are many twists and turns that I didn't see coming. The ending will leave you wanting more and with many questions left unanswered. The final words are a real shocker and we are left with a cliffhanger ending. I can't wait until the next book is available! This e-book was provided to me for review. I'm always wondering where the author is going to take the characters and story in the second book of a trilogy. Well I loved where she took them. TheI'm always wondering where the author is going to take the characters and story in the second book of a trilogy. Well I loved where she took them. They not only spent time in Montana but also in Tenavae. I didn't want to put my kindle down at times. I needed to know what was going to happen next.
Alora and Kaevin are living in Montana at the moment. Kavein is having a difficult time with school and just figuring out how things work in this realm. Things are seeming to go good until Kaevin knows something is wrong with Jireo through his bond. Once they travel back to find out what is going on they find out more than they expected. Vindrake is still on his hunt to find, capture and kill Alora and Kaevin. It's only a matter of time before Vindrake finds the portal to Montana. Alora and Kaevin enlist the help of their friends and family to figure out how to close the portal for good.
When you are fighting against a villain like Vindrake things don't always go as planned. Will Alora drain both herself and Kaevin by using too much of the soulmate bond. Will they get the poral closed or will Vindrake seem to win again?
There is so much action and suspense that you will feel like you never want to stop reading. I loved that the characters from the previous book are just as much a part of this one. They just add to the fun of reading it. There are some funny moments and some dark moments. But when they are mixed together they make for a really great story. There are quite a few surprises about some of the characters that shocked me a bit. I hope that they are tied up in the final book. I am looking forward to finding out how it ends. Overall a great sequel, fun characters and just an awesome story! This e-book was provided to me for review. This did not affect my review in any way....more
Alora is one of those books that will draw you in right from the start. I fell in love with the characters and the story right from the beginning.
AlorAlora is one of those books that will draw you in right from the start. I fell in love with the characters and the story right from the beginning.
Alora is an average 15 year old girl living in Montana. She has no idea she is very powerful. She was born with an unusual jewel in her belly button. Her "aunt" Lena, who passed away before the story begins, and her "uncle" Charles have raised her since her birth. One day while in the shower Alora starts having visions of some good looking boy, Kaevin. Although she has no idea who he is or how she is seeing him. She is half Stone-Clan and half Water-Clan.
She begins to transport Kaevin from another realm to Montana. Alora and Kaevin soon realize they are soulmates. They have to touch at least once a day or they begin to loose their strength. If they kiss it makes them stronger and improves their powers. This does not make Charles happy at all. I really liked Beth and Wesley, Alora's friends. Wesley is fun and Beth is a go getter. Together with their friends and family they must find a way to fight Alora's father Vindrake. He is an evil villain and the leader of the Water-Clan. He wants to use find Alora for her Wander Jewel powers to gain control of all the clans in his realm.
The author did such a great job with the story building and the character development. You feel like these could be your friends. Although it is a fantasy things just seem so real and fun. I liked how everyone got along really well. I really liked all the characters and enjoyed Alora and Kaevin's romance. Vindrake is the evil villain that you just love to hate. I can't wait to read the other books in this series. I highly recommend you read this fun, exciting, coming of age fantasy. You will not want to put it down, I know I didn't! ...more
