He has no memory of who he is or what has happened. He finds his way to New Orleans and makes a life for himself as an Ultimate Fighting Champion. At one of his matches he meets this woman who seems familiar to him. He takes her to a friend's bar and then they go back to her motel room. There she gives him an antidote that gives him back his memory of who he really is Gage and who she is Embry. He remembers that he is a Shadow Walker. It has a few flashbacks to what happened ten years ago and then goes back to present day. Then the action really starts when they sent out on a dangerous mission to save Embry's father.
I loved this story. I thought the characters were strong and fit well together. The chemistry between Gage and Embry was great. They make a great couple. The plot was good and flowed along really well. I loved how the author brought so many mythical beings together and they worked well with one another to make it out of their situation. I enjoyed reading about Shadow Walkers, that was a new thing for me. It was well thought out. The entire time it was a rollarcoaster ride with so much action, adventure and romance. I thought the ending was great. I am sad that it ended and hope that Kait writes more to Gage and Embry's story. I want to read more from this author!
* I would recommend this to adults because of language and sexual situations. *...more

This story starts out with Quinton back in the 1800's. That is where his story begins. It gives the reader a little bit of background information of him becoming a werewolf and what his father did to him. We find out that his father Wesley took Quinton's fiance Serenity from him. Later on Serenity returns pregnant and dies after giving birth. Quinton leaves the baby on his doctor friend's doorstep and moves on for the next 100 plus years of his life. Present day we find Serry married to her husband Collin who she is in an abusive relationship with. One night Collin's car hits Quinton's and sends them both to the hospital. There Quinton sees Serry and thinks that she is Serenity. At the same time Serry is wondering how she is seeing the man from the dreams she has been having. Collin dies from his injuries and Serry is left to wonder if she should feel guilty that Collin is gone. Quinton and Serry come across each other a short time later and start dating.
The story progresses with them dating and later marrying. They want to have children but Quinton does not want them to have the werewolf curse. So they set out to find a cure for Quinton. One that he thinks requires him to kill his father to end the curse. It was a rollar coaster ride of emotions, action, adventure and romance. Every time I thought something was going good for them something else would come their way and happen. I enjoyed reading it, liked the characters although I didn't feel real connected to any of them. The story was well told and progressed at smooth pace. The love that Quinton and Serry have for one another was what romance should be. We learned a little about each of their backgrounds but not really anything about the side characters. The side characters played out their roles in the story ok though.
Overall I would give this a 3.5 star rating. It was a good read, I just felt some things were repetitive throughout. It has a happy ending but I'm still left wondering what Quinton and Serry's dreams mean with the werewolves and how did Serry's dad have the cure. I would like to read more from this author in the future though....more

Olivia is afraid to reveal the real story of why she married Daughton. At the same time she can't keep her feelings for Lucian a secret. Lucian tries to fight his feeling for her but eventually gives into them.
This book had it all, danger, betrayal, mystery, romance, action and some humor thrown in. I love reading vampire stories and this one was fantastic. The author added some other types of paranormal beings into the story. The plot and the characters were well written. There are so many twists and turns that it just made the story better and better as it went along. There are some adult scenes that I felt were touching on erotica. This happens only a few times and is not the focus of the story. I am looking forward to read the next book. I'm recommending this one to adults who loves paranormal romance and vampires.

Kendra has been a vampire for ten years and has finally escaped Hector, her evil vampire creator. Before she was turned she spent time reciting poetry and listing to her favorite band. Kendra has always wondered what would have become of her and the lead singer Marcus if they would have gotten a chance to talk before Hector turned her. One night after going to one of their concerts she is hit by Marcus's car. Kendra drinks from Marcus and creates a blood bond with him. After being convinced by his band mates to go on tour with them Kendra and Marcus get their chance at love. Until Hector shows up.
The story flowed really well and once I started reading I didn't want to stop. I loved all the characters with their distinct personalities. Romance, suspense and some action added more to this fabulous vampire read. There was not much background information with this being a novella. This didn't bother me though because the plot was interesting and fun to read. I was happy with how it ended, just wished the book was longer. I didn't want to stop reading it. If you love vampires and romance I recommend you read this.

She loves livingViolet Midnight is a story of love with lots of secrets. Jane is an enchanter who has been living on her own since she was seventeen. She loves living alone surrounded by Jasmyn Lake. Elias is an artist who is coping with the loss of his twin brother and his crazy family problems. Jane has been dreaming about Elias for some time while he sees purple glitter that he comes to realize is Jane.
This is hard for me to review because this book was a bit confusing for me. In the beginning I was lost on what was going on most of the time. It flipped from the past to the present so much with no timeline/date. I also felt that everything was rushed. Jane and Elias are meant to be together but everything between them felt like it happened so fast. There are a lot of unawsered questions. We just get a glimse of the main characters backgrounds. The other characters kinda pop in and out of the story. We know that they're enchanters but that's it. No more information on them. We don't really know what an enchanter is, only that they control the elements. I would have liked to knew more about what an enchanter is. There are a lot of twists and turns, romance and some humor. The ending was a bit odd for me, it left me feeling like what just happened?
I liked it for the most part, just didn't love it. I will probably read the next one just to see what happens. Sorry if this left you confused but that is how I felt reading this book. This e-book was given to me for review from the author. This did not affect my review in any way....more

Shay moved to Scotland nine years ago. She left everything behind, her childhood home and the only family she has ever known. For the past nine years she has hated her childhood best friend Cody. When she returns to the states she runs into him and his brothers. This is where things start to get interesting. Shay starts to learn that the life she has lived was fake. Everyone around her has been lying to her for her entire life. She has a hard time accepting that they were doing it to protect her. Cody and his family are warriors who fight demons and try to keep the human race safe. An ancient demon and a vampire are both after Shay. Then there is something heating up between Shay and Cody. So many things going on that I don't want to give too much away.
I really enjoyed reading this. It has everything that I love in a good book. Romance, suspense, a love triangle, a bit of mystery and hot guys. There are a lot of laugh out loud moments especially with Matilda. I really liked the back and forth between Bree and Faelan too. There are some sexual scenes that are a bit steamy but they do not overshadow the book. I will continue to read the other books in this series. This e-book was given to me by the author for review. Kimberly Long, aka Kim, is a legal secretary at a law firm in Manhattan. While she enjoys her job she has always thought of being a writer. She has a great boss, Rob, who she seems to "boss" around most of the time. Then there is Nicholas, the lawyer down the hall who Kim has been crushing on for a while.
Kim attends her high class reunion and runs into the high school "mean girl" Hannah who happens to have just written a chick lit book. She wants Kim to read and review on her blog Pastel is the New Black. This makes Kim jealous, even though she doesn't realize it at first.
I liked how the story didn't just focus on the blogger part of Kim. It really followed her throughout her daily life. The ups and downs of being a blogger and the romance in her life.
Blogger Girl is humorous and the characters are so real. I don't normally read contemporary or chick lit but this book has changed my view on it. I loved the office party at the end of the book and the karaoke singing. All in all a well written book. I will be on the lookout for more stories from this author....more
