Eve, or EBorrowed Heart is a rollarcoaster ride of emotions and romance. It will drawn you right from the start and leave you wanting more at the end.
Eve, or Evie as her friends call her is just a normal college student. She has a boyfriend from high school Ryan who attends a different collage. Things are going fine until she meets Quinn in one of her classes. He is gorgeous and very persistent. After a kiss between Evie and Quinn one night at party Evie decides she needs to tell Ryan in person what happened and her feelings for Quinn. That is the night that will change her life forever.
Evie is tragically killed in a car accident. When she awakens she is greeted by Peter. He tells her that she is dead and is a Shepard, someone who watches over and protects human or as they call them, charges. Evie cannot believe that she is dead and wants answers. Peter starts to explain what a Shepard is and all the rules that go along with it. All of Evie's memories of her life are gone. She is not allowed to find anything out. While on assignment protecting a charge you are not allowed to reveal yourself to them either. There are too many other rules to list. Evie has only just started her training when she finds out that she is being assigned to a charge immediately.
When she arrives back on Earth to start her assignment her charge who just happens to be Quinn, can "feel" or sense her. He knows that Evie has somehow returned. This is where the story started getting really interesting to me. Evie starts breaking the rules starting with revealing herself to Quinn. She can go from invisible to materializing into a human like being with all her cool powers. As they start to rekindle their forbidden romance they have no idea what danger is in store for them. Evie doesn't realize that she is not only putting Quinn in more danger but herself also. The Servants, evil other worldly beings will do anything to keep them apart.
I loved the chemistry between Quinn and Evie. Their relationship is so emotional with all the ups and downs. Quinn wants to be a normal couple but Evie knows that she has to stick to her assignment to protect Quinn while trying to follow the rules. She struggles big time with this and it makes for a really great story. The ending was bitter sweet for me and a bit of a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to the sequel and the rest of this series. Pisces and her siblings have agreed to come to Earth toPisces is the first book in the Zodiac Twin Flames series. It was a fast read and I liked it.
Pisces and her siblings have agreed to come to Earth to find their twin flame soulmates. Their mission is to find their soulmate and bring true love to Earth. There are a group of people, the Dysfunctionals, that have tried to stop them for many lifetimes. Pisces has no idea at first who her twin flame soulmate is but she intends to find out and make it last this time.
The book has a good story line but for me it just didn't live up to what I thought it was going to be. Every time Pisces starts to get close to Antony he leaves and wants nothing to do with her. Then when he starts to show interest she runs away. There were some other things that just kept happening over and over again. It was just a bit too much of this off and on throughout the story.
We get a little bit of background information but I would have liked to learned more about the characters. By the end we are left with lots of answered questions. It felt a bit rushed at times and it seemed like it was all tied up quickly but not really finished by the end.
All this said I did enjoy it and it was a fun, fast read. I would like to read the next book in this series. I am hoping that some of my issues with this book are fixed by the next book. This book was won in a giveaway. This did not affect my review in any way. ...more

It is by far the best and my favorite of this series so far. I was on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. The author brought so much more to this story and the characters.
Hellsfire and some friends travel to the Burning Sands to try to find Premier and a cure for Princess Krystal. What they find is so much more. From learning about ancient demons to a realm of fairies, Hellsfire has a lot to deal with. He needs to find a cure for Krystal, capture Premier and defeat an ancient, powerful demon. All the while try to figure out ancient runes, survive in the Netherrealm and keep himself and his friends alive.
There is so much excitement that goes on within this story. While it is emotional, suspenseful and full of action, it is so much fun to read. I kept thinking what an incredible adventure Hellsfire is on. But then I thought well I don't think he would see it as an adventure but more as survival. For the reader it is one awesome ride. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen next the story would take a sharp turn. The author keeps you on your toes, you never know what is going to happen next.
There are so many new characters along with ones from the previous books that I really like. There are so many new things happening. The last part of the book the author throws a major curve ball into the story. I loved reading it and am looking forward to the coming books in this series! This e-book was provide to me for review. Honoria and her brother move to Arnn from New York City with their aunt and uncle after their parents are killed. She is told right from the start about the legend of Witchwood Hollow. If you venture too far into the forest the witch will trap your soul. She is intrigued right from the start and does all she can to find out more about Witchwood Hollow.
The story follows three girls, Honoria, Albertine and Lady Clifford who are from different time periods, as their stories are told. The characters are all very likable and I enjoyed learning about their backgrounds and how they each are a part of Witchwood Hollow. There are lots of twists and turns that lead up to an exciting and surprising ending. I will be on the lookout for other books from this author in the future. Daughter of Lions is one of the stories that you don’t want to end. When you get to the last page it leaves you feeling happy about the ending but sadDaughter of Lions is one of the stories that you don’t want to end. When you get to the last page it leaves you feeling happy about the ending but sad that you finished reading. I highly recommend reading this book by one of my favorite authors.
Victoria is a teenager who is a cheerleader with lots of friends and is pretty popular. There is just one thing that her friends don’t know about her. She is a hybrid werelion and her father if the alpha werelion of his pride. Victoria has never really felt part of either life though. She is not fully a human or a werelion. She has super strength, can run really fast and has the ability to heal quickly. But she cannot shift.
Victoria is excited to visit her dad for spring break and see her friends in the pride. When her dad shows up to pick her up he has Brandon with him. Brandon is this totally hot werelion that will turn Victoria’s world upside down. Spring break is over before she knows it but her dad has a surprise for her. Brandon is going to be going back with Victoria and going to finish out the school year at her school and protect her. During the two months they become close friends with a little romance here and there. Victoria or as Brandon calls her Tori, is falling fast for Brandon. The only problem though is Brandon doesn’t know if he wants a mate who is a non lioness.
Not long after they return to her dad’s house for the Summer something unexpected happens and causes Victoria to move permanently with her dad and the pride. Things start to get real interesting after this. Michael, a childhood friend and werelion comes back into Victoria’s life and causes a bit of a love triangle. Then there is Bob, a crazy werewolf that is obsessed with Victoria and wants her all for himself. His pride of werewolves wants to start a war with the werelions and will use Victoria as bait to get it started.
I hope that I haven’t revealed too much of the story already. I would love to keep on gushing about what happens but I am going to recommend that you read this book. There is so much more to it and it is SO GOOD. I would give it more than five stars if it were possible. I fell in love with the story and of course Brandon. It is on my favorites lists now. It seems like a stand alone book but I am really hoping that there is going to be a sequel. I want more stories to come from this amazing book. This e-arc was provided to me for review. The beginning of the book was a bit slow for me but as I continued to read on I realized that it was all part of the story building. The things that happened in the beginning make sense as the story progresses. The last part of the book is really good and the ending had my jaw dropping. Overall a a great story. Each book got better and better. I am sad that this is the end of such a wonderful series. I am going to miss reading about these characters everyday. This is truly a series that I highly recommend reading!
Just when everyone thinks that they can finally settle down and live their lives everything is turned upside down again. Between the mob, the professor and the senator all after them which way do they turn?
I could just start gushing about everything that happened in this final installment but I am not going to spoil it for anyone. I will tell you though that it is action and suspense packed from beginning to end. My heart was racing during so many scenes. I felt like I was on a rollarcoaster ride. The suspense was like that. You're heart is racing waiting for it to get to the top and then go over the other side at full speed. There are so many twists and turns I didn't know what to expect to happen next. The romance is there, but it's not overdone which I liked.
This book and really all of the books in this series are very well written. I loved how each character got their time in the "spotlight" in this story. We got to get to know each character and their personal story. I have to say that Caledonia and Calvin are still my favorites. But I have come to really like Layla, Ramon, Michael and Mina. I thought the author did a great job with how each one of them came together to help get the others out of some really dangerous situations. I am happy that the mob, the professor and the senator got what they deserved.
All the loose ends were tied up nicely. The ending was not rushed and we got to see into the future of each character. I loved how everything turned out and what Caledonia and Calvin were doing with their money. All around a happy ending for everyone. It was so neat to see and remember how each one of them started out in the first books and how they have transformed into these amazing people by the end. I just wish that there were more books because I am going to miss everyone. I had such a great time enjoying reading this series. I guess I will have to re-read it again sometime in the future. That's what you do with your favorites right? This e-book was provided to me for review. This did not affect my review in any way. ...more

The Caledonian Inheritance focuses mainly on Layla. We get some interaction with the others but the story is centered around Layla and what is going on with her. It was nice to learn more about her.
All four, Caledonia, Calvin, Michael and Layla are living in a house together while they make plans to build a big house on their property where their parents lived. In the previous books I had mixed feelings about Layla. I didn't like the way that she manipulated people all the time. But at the same time I felt bad for her with her upbringing and all. In this book though she has really started to come into her own. She is living life and has a great new boyfriend, Ramon. I am happy with this because when the last book ended I was hoping that they would end up together. He is a great guy and a police officer in the town where Layla now lives. I found myself laughing at times when they are out somewhere. Things that are so common to Ramon like going to a fast food drive-thru are all new to Layla.
Things are going great for Layla until she decides that she wants to see if she can find out who her father is. The one person that she thinks would know is Professor Reed. All he seems to do is cause more problems for Layla and her family and will do whatever it takes to finance his crazy projects. When he sets up a meeting with Layla this is where things go from bad to worse. Will Layla ever be able to get away from the Professor? What will happen when Ramon finds out about her powers? There is so much more great things that happen but I'm not going to give away any more.

Brie is struggling with making friends, her relationship with her dad, dodging the paparazzi and when finding out that she is a Hallow. She is not just any Hallow though, she is a powerful one. The story is told from different view points which I liked. The author did a great job setting up the scenes and giving the reader just enough without giving too much away. I honestly coI was excited when I was given the opportunity to start reading this series. I have read other books by this author that I have enjoyed. I honestly could not get enough of this book. It is that good. I was wondering if I would get confused with both of the main characters being named Cal but it doesn't affect it at all.
Caledonia is different from most people. She has two different color eyes and can see, feel and manipulate people's feelings. She has lived in a remote cabin with her parents all of her life. They have no electricity or modern technology. She has never been around others or experienced simple everyday things that come natural to most people.
Calvin is the bad boy of the story. On the surface he is the typical bad boy, totally hot and has any girl he wants. He loves to party with his biker brother Jarrod, his girlfriend Crystal and their friends. But deep down there is so much more to him.
When tragedy strikes Caledonia's parents she is forced to go live with her aunt Angie, whom she has never met, and her boyfriend Phil. One night while Caledonia is outside walking around to get away from Phil when she comes across Calvin in a bit of a mess with some guys looking for trouble. She saves him from the guys and their story begins.
I really liked Caledonia, Calvin, Jarrod and Crystal. I did not like Angie or Phil at all and when you read the story you will know why. I loved getting to know Caledonia and Calvin and their stories as they got to know each other. They like each other from the start but it takes them awhile to get together which I thought was good. It wasn't they meet and instantly they are a couple. The happiness does not get to last long though, there is a mad man former professor that will do anything to get Caledonia and her powers. Who can they trust and what will they risk to stay together?
I just have to say it again, I loved this story and I am really excited to continue with this series. This e-book was provided to me for review. This did not affect my review in any way. ...more

If another book would be written in the future I would love to read it. It would be great to see the characters in the future. But for now I am happy to have read such a great series.
Marina continues to be one strong young lady who just seems to find trouble no matter where she is. Her relationship with Ethan is tested once again but this time I wasn't sure if it would survive. The author brings in some new characters into the story that shake things up. The story mainly focuses on Marina but we do get a few updates from some of my other favorites throughout. There is a lot more suspense and action in this book than there was in the previous ones. It seemed more intense and I found myself not wanting to put it down. With the new characters comes some surprising news. Marina must figure out who she can really trust because her life and the lives of the mermaids depends on it.

When I was asked to review it I thought alright it sounds good. Well it was better than good, it totally blew me away. I haven’t read a book that I enjoyed reading so much in a while. I read it in a short time and didn’t want to put it down.
Robin is living in all girls’ boarding school where everyone is rich and fake. Her father is a wealthy lawyer who only cares about making money and having the finer things in life. Living a life of luxury, maids and nannies is all Robin has known her entire life.
That is until her dad suffers a stroke and their world comes tumbling down. Robin is shocked to find out that her family is broke. People are after her dad for money he owes. When Robin sees a chance at the hospital to get her dad out and make a run for it that is what she does. She steals a car and tries to rob a bank but all does not go as she planned. They end up at Turtle Shores trailer park. It’s here that she meets some really odd, loving, country people. Robin thinks that they are just a bunch of crazy white trailer trash. Somewhere that they can hide until she can figure out what to do next. She has no idea the truth that she will uncover about her family’s history.
I fell in love with Creek as soon as he made an appearance. He is this gorgeous, bad boy outlaw, a kind of person that Robin has never come into contact with. At first she doesn’t like him and doesn’t really want to be around him. That is until something happens and she sees how protective he is of his little brother Dooley. I loved the story of Robin, who went from riches to rags.
I found myself laughing at all the crazy wild things that went on and was said at Turtle Shores. I also really enjoyed how Robin and Creek’s relationship developed. The way that he made her see how you can love people and be truly happy with pretty much nothing. The way that she overcame her feelings and anger towards her dad made me happy for them.
While there are some sad situations that are going on there is so much humor, romance, action and suspense that you will keep you glued to this story. Oh and can’t forget about those crazy TNT boys and their explosives. Just some of the colorful characters in this amazingly written story. The situations that Robin and Creek find themselves in while trying to get money will have you laughing too.

Colin and his sister Addy get into a bit of trouble with their parents one day while out looking for their lost dog Buddy. So as punishment they have to go to a friend of their father's to help work around his castle for the summer. It's here that they meet the owner's nephew Peter. You just want to listen to it over and over again. But in this case I would love to read this trilogy again. This third and final book brings the story to a whole new level and ties everything together with an epic ending that I did not see coming. I could not put my kindle down, Chloe and Alex's story had me so drawn in. It's romantical and suspenseful with a bit of mystery tied in.
Chloe and Alex are living with their son Sammy in San Diego within their drift. Things are going really well but there is always someone waiting for them in the shadows. Franco and his men are still trying to get their hands on the mysterious locket. Alex has secrets of his own and little Sammy always seems to know that Chloe needs to follow what Alex says is best.
Throughout the story I found myself trying to figure out the answers to the same questions that Chloe had. I have to admit that I was confused of what was really going on and what was real and what was a drift. The confusion was a good thing though because by the end I was really surprised. There are many twists and turns throughout with one that I thought had changed the story and thought I knew the outcome. Well I was sure wrong, the last part of the book throws a major curve and the story comes full circle. Things are not always what they seem and this author did a fantastic job of making that happen within these three books. I loved how the locket and the picture came to be about at the end. When you read the book you will understand. I could go on and on but I don't want to give any spoilers away.
This is not a genre that I normally read but I am so happy that when I was asked to read the first book Schasm that I did. Just when Chloe and Alex thought they were escaping their horrible real lives things take a turn for the worse. Chloe and Alex are now being held captive by her Uncle Franco. But what I loved is how they are living such a wonderful life in Paris within their drift. While most of the story takes place in their drift there are times that Chloe goes back to real life. In both reality and the drift Chloe and Alex are in danger and are seeming to run out of time. This book took their story to a entire new place so to speak. We meet new characters and learn so much more about Alex's past. Uncle Franco has some secrets of his own that change things up a bit too. While I found myself getting lost within their story I couldn't help but forget that they were living in one of their drifts and not real life. There are some major changes towards the end and an exciting change to the cliffhanger at the end.

I was hooked from the first chapter and just found the story to be really interesting and fun.
Samantha aka Sam is a college student living with her dad who she is still getting to know. Her mother was killed in a car accident when Sam was sixteen. She is thrilled to hear that she can write a paper on her family history, which she knows little about. While on a break from school she decides to go to the town where her mom grew up. She wants to explore the town, school and see what she can find out about her family history.
While there she meets Thomas, a former custodian at the school that knew her mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. He lets her into the school, which has been closed for years to have a look around. It's there that she discovers a hole in a wall and while looking through sees a little girl on the stage. Wondering if she is seeing a ghost she steps through the hole and into the year 1975. It's here that everything changes and the story gets very interesting. Sam meets Thomas and some others that will change her life forever. One interesting person that she meets is Suzanne. She has a unique story that will not only help Sam but could possibly change events that have happened. Together they want to figure out if little Josie Baker's death was an accident or something else. Can they save her from dying or what will the outcome be for the future?
I loved Sam in the 1970's. I liked how she became her own person, didn't back down to anyone. She is able to interact with her family, some of whom she has never met. I felt her happiness and sadness about seeing her mom as a child. The friends she makes and the events that transform just made this story such a great read. If I could have the chance to time travel this is one place I would love to go. Sam gets to experience a time when things were much calmer and laid back. The story is well written and I enjoyed getting to explore the 70's through Sam's eyes. The ending was a bit confusing to me. I am still thinking about it. Overall an interesting, fun and charming read.

As you are probably thinking yes this does cause some problems. But Marin is more focused on becoming a Protector and killing as many ogres as she can. While at the same time she wants to find out who her real father is and what she is apart from being human. I think I was as shocked and as confused as Marin when she finds out some things from her past. She is also trying to keep Favian from finding out that she is in love with him, while it seems everyone in the kingdom knows this already. But that doesn't stop the males from wanting to court her.
Protector is full of action, suspense, lots of twists and turns and some romance. It will keep you on your toes from start to finish. There is just so much that we learn in this one but so much more to find out in the next installment too. The ending is truly magical. I could just keep gushing about this one all day. I just really loved it and hope I don't have to wait to long for the next book. This is one of those stories that I want to read over and over.
