Its dark, suspenseful, sexy and confusing as all hell. There’s a lot that cant be said without giving away too much.
Torre turned it up for Do Not Disturb. Everything was a bit more intense. A lot less confusing and basically just fucking brilliant.
Dee and Jeremy have taken their relationship a step further. He doesn’t know what happened after she took his truck. And for the time being he’s okay with what she does for a living which is good because for the time being it doesn’t look like she is interested in changing professions.
While working she encounters a client Freebird71 later to be known as Marcus. He’s a fucking psycho recently released from prison after being convicted for sex crimes. He sets off many red flags. So she sent her hacker and friend Mike on him. Blocking and him and essentially blacklisting him clearly this will not go over well with Marcus.
The story is captivating. Seriously I had a difficult time putting it down. Okay, I’m lying I had to put it down many times to absorb everything that was going on only to pick it back up a few seconds later. There were so many times the suspense had me wanting to hide under my covers. It was intense my heart raced, my mouth got dry and I just needed to hide. What can I say I have issues.
So heres the thing. I was a little disappointed in the ending. After reading the authors note, I was glad to know that the ending I would’ve preferred was what was originally planned. I sort of found that comforting....more

I generally dislike suspense only because im completely impatient. About a year ago i read These Things Hidden all in one sitting and fell in love with Gudenkauf. So when i saw this book and its gorgeous cover ( im totally shallow btw ) i had to read it.. The only way i could've read this book in one sitting would be if i had been tied.. stapled.. and glued to my seat. Along with my impatience im extremely worrisome usually about ludicrous things this time at least in my opinion it was completely justified..
This story was told from several different point of views a format i LOVE LOVE LOVE! Ill go chronologically.. Holly Mother to Auggie and PJ and daughter to Will and Marlys.. Holly is recovering from a accident in AZ. How Auggie is another pov struggling with being away from her mother and living with her grandfather Will who she hadn't met until after the accident.. Shes also trying to help with her younger brother PJ. Next is Mrs. Oliver who was my favorite character shes a school teacher and one hell of a woman.. Never in her 43 years of teaching had she thought she would be staring at the barrel of a gun in her own classroom.. Following her is Meg the only woman officer on the force.. She moved to Broken Branch after her divorce, Seemed like a nice enough place to work and raise her daughter Maria. Finally there's Will as you'll remember he is Holly's father and Auggie and PJ grandfather. After Holly left Broken Branch 17 years ago he thought he would never see her again and now hes trying to help raise her kids whiles she is recovering with Marlys help.
Now for the story . During a Spring storm a gunman hold Mrs. Olivers 3rd grade classroom hostage.. Who is this gunman and why is he doing this? Well im not telling.. But what i will say is your emotions with be completely messed with! With so many twists and turns you wont know your left from your right your up from your down! And just when you think youve figured it out Gudenkauf pulls the rug right from under you! Many times during the course of reading this book i had CHILLS i was incredibly moved by the characters each with their flaws.. ...more

This is possibly the hardest review ive ever written. Mainly because I want to spoil EVERYTHING for you. And at the same time I dont want to tell too much because one thing I really loved about Revealing Hamilton was all the emotions I was feeling from amused. Hurt. Disbelief and Awe. I really dont want you to lose out cause I couldnt keep my trap shut!
Amelia is surviving. Her life is kinda a mess, she works a shitty job in a diner and her boyfriend is an abusive douchebag. Her best girl friends act suspicious and well her best guy friend acts a little friendly. Oh and her parents died years ago causing Amelia to live with her grandfather who up and dies (or does he) on her a few years later. Shes put into the system and so yeah shes surviving.
After loosing her dead end diner job she comes home to find her douchebag boyfriend and her best girl friend wresting. Naked. If you get what im saying. She runs off and during her breakdown meets Max. Now Max says that he knew her father but the guy doesnt look a day older than 29 how the heck does he know him hes been dead 20ish years. Desperate to know more about her dad she agrees to meet him at another time.
She meets him to learn about her father and she does she learns a lot. Her father used to work with the same company as Max IA Insurance Agency. Then lotsa amazing stuff happens both good and bad! Her best guy friend professes his love for her and his sister Amelias other girl friend is murdered! Her grandfather isnt really dead no hes an evil fucking genius who preformed experiments on Amelia as a child! What yeah! I know. JackRabbit7 was created to clean out Amelias dna but it does other stuff fucking awesome stuff if it werent in the hands of a lunatic. The IA has pretty much kept Marius away from Amelia but with the end of the treaty looming near Marius has grown big balls and is already fucking with her.
The Washington branch of the IA is made up of Max, Molly and Nick. Nick fecking HATES Amelia. And when you read it and find out why you kinda understand the reasoning there. However I felt a lot of sexual tension between the two. Real or not who knows. Im a complete perv and see sex where there isnt any. The IA's job is to basically kill Marius. And they need Amelias help so I mean what does she have to lose nothing.
Though all the twists and turns I was CAPTIVATED to say the least. My eyes had a mind of their own. They tried desperately to flutter about the page to get answers I so desperately needed before Carr was ready to divulge them. Carr is an extremely talented writer. I enjoyed every fecking minute of reading her books. She has a way with words that just takes you to a place in your mind thats a little dark and rather awesome.. Shoot. Half the time I was reading I was fantasizing about what awesome ability JackRabbit7 could give me! I'd totally sign up for Mind Bending and Speed Reading :D ...more

Vegas has been blown uHH takes place immediately after Embracing Hamilton. Amelia is in some deep shit. Being pegged a double agent. Levi is missing. Vegas has been blown up. She cant seem to catch a break. Oh and Nick just took off and left for Ca. I blame Carr and her evil ways.
For reasons I wont explain (the books already written ) Amelia ends up in jail. But not the IA's jail nope this one is about a million times creeper. She happens to be on the same block as some people from her past. People she loves and people she hates. Hunting Hamilton gave us so much more insight to what has REALLY gone on in the last 2 books. We've always seen everything from her perspective and now Carr gave her other characters a chance to explain themselves and their back story. Carr also creeped me the feck out and ill never look at eggs the same way again and you know that evil genius is proud of herself. How do I know because I told her the consequences im facing as a result of reading HH and she laughed!! Yeah im sure on her end it was a true EVIL laugh.
Hunting Hamilton is another one out of the park for Sarah Jayne Carr. Fast pace and thrilling. My heart pumped faster than normal and my hands were clamy often. Carr has mastered suspense and the fine art of plot twists. I cant recommend this series enough ...more

Caleb was desperate. His sister had been abducted and Ramie was the only one who could help him. He tracked her down and forced her to help. He didn’tCaleb was desperate. His sister had been abducted and Ramie was the only one who could help him. He tracked her down and forced her to help. He didn’t know the consequences of what he was asking of Ramie. Sure Ramie had helped the police in the past, she’d helped locate missing women or their bodies and suffered greatly for it. The only way she could find them was to take a piece of their clothing and basically go through the same torture they had endured. 3 months ago she linked up with a serial killer and he still had a piece of her. So when Caleb forces Ramie to help find Tori the link grows and Caleb is horrified and helpless to watch Ramie being tortured.
He promises her to right what he’s done as soon as he saves his sister he goes back for her and shes gone. Months go by with no word. He doesnt give up looking for her. Hes started a security company with his brothers and everyone tries to go back to like as usual. Tori is a god damn mess. I wanted to like her I really did but I wanted to shake her! While I understand she went though some horrific shit I wanted her to take HER POWER BACK. Instead she cowered like a little girl. I should be more forgiving and maybe that says more about me than the character. Ramie has been on the run since Caleb found her. But the killer has caught up with her and with some crazy luck she escapes his grasp and calls Caleb.
Hes there for her in minutes by way of his security detail. But flies out to her immediately. They are incredibly attracted to each other. Not going to lie there is some instalove action going on here. And for some reason in thrillers its okay for me. I kinda just think about the movie Speed and that one line towards the end about relationships coming out of intense experiences. And then all is right with the world.
I really liked this book. Sure I had issues with characters but hey the story was there and it was amazing. Im so excited for you to read this book there are some twisted parts and I LOVE twisted (usually). I really look forward to the next 2 books in the series. Why cant they just be out already!...more

Im not sure what I was expectingHey! What the….. Oh Em Gee!!! Slightly feeling mind freaked here!! Seriously Michelle Gagnon you EVIL MASTERMIND You!!
Im not sure what I was expecting when I began reading Strangelets.. What I got was a story in full swing.. 3 different teenagers in 3 different parts of the world die at the exact same moment or do they? Well friggen purchase the book because I am telling you.. YOU want to but this book..
Sophie’s waiting to die of cancer the doctors have told her only a miracle can save her.. Laying in bed she wonders what death will be like..
Declan just wanted to buy his girlfriend a necklace when he takes a job lifting a box from an empty house.. Only it wasnt empty..
Anat just wanted to be free to love her boyfriend.. They are from different rival countries and something happened along the way..
They wake up alone in a hospital setting each in their own room.. They discover each other plus 3 more.. Nico is from Switzerland.. Zain from India.. and Yosh from Japan..
I felt as soon as the book started I was in for an amazingly wild ride.. Of course I was correct.. I was truly upset every time I had to put my book down to tend to life.. I was eager to get back to find out what the heck was going on I tried to figure it out.. BTW I was Soo WRONG! I really did try though I had one idea.. the wrong one.. And believe me it was a struggle I was completely perplexed! I swear ill never be a writer! Thats okay I never really wanted to be one.. I wanted to be a librarian..
The story was definitely a great one mysterious and totally on the edge of your seat.. The characters felt real and likeable.. Okay well Anat was slightly annoying to me.. But I can understand where she is coming from.. I really liked Sophie myself the girl has some spunk!...more

Love her like your own and tell no one. After a string of miscarriages and a ton of heartbreak they did as the note asked. Never once did they treat her as though she wasn't theirs. Early on Arial showed extraordinary powers. She was instructed to keep them under wraps and she does until she is attacked and unfortunately she is outed in a BIG way. And her parents end up disappearing. She turns to the Devereaux’s for security.
I was really digging the story and then Beau came into the picture. Really I can usually overlook the insta love. This time it was a little hard for me. I'm not sure why it was just too much too soon. I really loved Arial. I thought she was pretty badass. And really it's one superpower I want. I want to move things with my mind! It would be so awesome to have a Sword in the Stone moment!
The story was pretty fast paced for me. Once I got over the instant love thing I really enjoyed the story. I love this series and I was and still am excited about this book. The characters are all interesting and likable. I this Ari is my favorite followed by Ramie. I can't wait to find out what happens in the 3rd book. Obviously it will be Quinn or Tori. My money is on Quinn. But I guess we shall see....more
