I am honestly conflicted with the book. Was never a fan of infidelity, though I believe Karina managed to pull it off. I however do not agree with the heroine just leaving school. It could have been done better. Enjoyable nonetheless, though book could have needed a little bit more proofreading.

Torin, carrier of demon of disease, is my favorite Lord of the Underworld. He is the most doomed of them all and I just love good tragedies. He has foregone the ability to touch another as this would either kill, transmit disease then start plagues.
Keeleycael is a worthy to Torin. Their lovestory is heartbreaking at first. Keys, determined to touch Torin, and Torin unable to fight the temptation to touch Keys, their love story was almost doomed from the start. Keys was willing to risk it all. She touches Torin and she gets infected three times! She tells Torin that she is stronger than his demon, and soon the demon will run out of diseases to give her. So heartbreaking.
I was mind blown by the ending! It had so much sense and so much science! I liked that Torin gets his HEA not by some gimmicky magic trick, but by science. I know it's a paranormal romance, but I like my paranormal romances a tad more believable. lol.
The puns on Torin's shirt are awesome! I should mention that I want one! Ladies, this would be good business, message me and I'll buy one if it is decent priced.
Also, let me say ladies, that Gena Showalter has her magic back. This is no holds barred LOTU book rivaling the first books in the series.
If Gena keeps this writing up, I do hope she writes on William, Galen, Hades then Cameo, in that order. ______ $1.99 on kindle store now 12/29/14!

I Only Have Eyes for You is a wonderful addition to the Sullivan series! Personally, I was looking forward to Sophie Sullivan's story, because I honestly saw a bit of myself in her when she was talked about in previous books. And when I say a bit, I really mean a bit. Because I am sort of like Sophie, except, without the killer body, without the money, and without whatever that counts.
Sophie has been in love with Jake McCann since forever. Jake was her older brother's friend and she thought he didn't see her the way she wanted him to see her. But he did. Jake saw Sophie being hands off since she is sister of his best friends.
But there has to be a point where enough pretending is enough. Sophie has had enough and is off to seduce Jake if she has to.
I have enjoyed this book so much that I can't wait to read the next book.
*Also, for kindle owners, the Sullivan series is available for lending.

Seriously, Hollywood star, Dawson Kellor fell in love with a stripper at first glance. WOW.
This book started so strong, but ended weak.
The beginning, it was all about Grey Amundsen. She is a sheltered daughter of a pastor in Macon, Georgia. She is little miss goody two shoes. But her only relief is dance. She does ballet, jazz and contemporary. However, her dad, being a pastor, thinks dancing is sinful and provocative. But good thing is, Grey's mom is supportive of this, and convinces Eric (the dad) for her to have formal lessons. But, Grey's mom is sick with cancer, and dies. Grey discovers another passion, which is film. She wants to pursue this career and gets scholarship in USC. But her dad is not supportive of this since movies are dirty and sinful. And USC is in Los Angeles which is "home of sin". He disowns Grey, and Grey is on her own. She survives for a little while, but before the end of her second year, she is told that her scholarship runs out, therefore she is forced to get a job as a stripper, just to support her school.
I don't think any amount of stripping could support oneself in going to USC (1 unit is $1,500). Unless she's stripping 24/7? But she only does this on Friday. But hey, I can't be sure.
I liked the first part of the story. However, when Dawson Kellor entered the strip club, it started going downhill for me. Don't get me wrong, Dawson is hot. But I found their instant connection cr**. Sure, it looks like Grey doesn't belong in the strip club cause she looks all innocent and everything, but she's still a stripper and Dawson is still a Hollywood bigshot who could have any woman he could like. I thought it was too instantaneous, and it felt ridiculous to me that Dawson would go out of his way to make Grey really comfortable (like loan a $150,000 Land Rover to her). Also they've known each other for a couple of days and they already love each other? This book had plenty of eye rolling moments for me.
Also, I felt like I've read all of these pages, looking for the plot of this book. I have found it. And it's b*tt s*x....more

There are only three authors that made me literally want to drop on the floor and just roll laughing: Sophie Kinsella, Susan Elizabeth Phillips and a new addition, Alice Clayton. And Alice Clayton did a spectacular job of making me laugh from the start to the middle.
But let me put emphasis on the "middle" in my previous statement. Wallbanger starts out strong. It was a pageturner and I was blazing through the pages. Til the middle that is.
I felt like this book could have ended up sooner but I was still dangling trying to finish the book. Also, with the title Wallbanger, I expected it to be steamier.
Characters, Caroline and Simon are both likeable, and soon enough, I was routing for their love story. And they got it. Even the minor characters are also fun! Mimi, Sophia, Ryan and Neil are so adorable.
Despite my complaints towards the end, Alice Clayton made it up. Finish was strong. Clive was one helluva character. Nice to get insights in a cat's brain. I call thee, "the feeder" and the "tall one".

AppI am still trying to figure out why Cake by Nicole Reed is titled CAKE. I tried looking up the word Cake in the ebook, and it gave me two results. Apparently the heroine, Kylie Lord, thought of Trent Moss and Drey Savage as pieces of cake. I wouldn't call them cake, but more of man candy. I will stop before I salivate on my ipad.
Kylie Lord, has been in love with her humanitarian best friend, Trent Moss, for the longest time. Trent had a foster brother, Drey Savage, who is a professional footballer. Drey and Kylie never got along. But Drew got into an accident. And Trent needed information that wasn't available to the public. He calls Kylie and asks her to find out Drey's condition She does, but things get complicated as Drew requires bed rest. As Kylie relays this information to Trent, Trent insists that Kylie take care of Drey, because he will let no one else near him. Kylie sets aside her differences, and gets to know Dray. And they get to know each other too much, to the point that they make an agreement of becoming friends with benefits.
But Trent comes home, and admits he has feelings for Kylie all along, but knew that Dray wanted her too, so he never pursued her.
Cake is a complicated love triangle. Trent and Dray are foster brothers, and it should always be bros before hos. Though it worked out in the end, it seems unrealistic to me. I know I am reading fiction lliterature, but I still want my stories as realistic as possible. The characters are not very likeable. I did not like Kylie Lord. I thought her superficial, as she wanted to nurse her broken heart more, instead of taking care of her dying grandmother. I did not like Trent Moss, as I thought he was selfish, thinking that he could always take advantage of Kylie whenever he wants. I did like Dray though. He acted as a jackass from the beginning, so when he acted nice, it was a pleasant surprise. Also, Cake seemed a tad too rushed, and you can't rush your cake. I always like savoring my sweets, instead of wolfing it down. ...more
So, Gabe Hamilton and Mia Crestwell have been attracted to each other since Mia was still a baby (not literally). I usually like storylines where guy falls in love with little sister of his best friend. Mia is Jace's little sister, who is also Gabe's best friend. So she's sort of off limits. Years after, Mia shows up at the opening of Gabe's hotel in a very sexy dress and Gabe just loses it! He hands Mia a contract and asks her to be his assistant and sex buddy.
The plot, is slightly different, but both involves a millionaire who is into contracts, spanking and BDSM and who also loves feeding the heroine full, and a naive heroine who never imagined herself enjoying bondage and anal sex. It's been such a while since I last read Fifty Shades of Grey and if it was fresh in my mind, I would have made a point by point comparison of the characters and the plot, however, I do not want to submit myself to that torture of reading whichever book all over again.
This is my first Maya Banks read and I have no idea if I would want to read another of her works. I was thinking it's the erotic genre that doesn't work for me, but I've looked at my erotic shelf, and I saw some four star reads for me.
I'm thinking it's just the type of plot that does not work with me. I didn't think the plot was believable, thus, I did not connect with any of the characters. I just thought them to be kinky rich kids.
If you hated Fifty Shades, I suggest you stay away from this book. However, if you loved it, then be my guest, and indulge with the book.
I'm not crossing off Maya Banks from authors to avoid just yet. I'll give it one more book. ...more

This is a book I would honestly not be proud of enjoying, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Abby Abernathy is a good girl who prefers to go unnoticed. But the fact that she is too ordinary or rather different, makes her stand out and she catches Travis Maddox' eye. Abby says from the beginning that she is not sleeping with Travis, and somewhere along the way, the two become friends. It works, despite their attraction to each other. But lets face it, the attraction will eventually get in the way.
But oh, how I tried not to like the book.
Travis was temperamental and violent. And I abhor violence of any kind. Travis would just give out punches to anyone who said anything sexual to Abby. He was trashing his apartment when Abby was missing the next day. This is not normal behavior. In the real world, I KNOW I would not stay with this kind of person. But despite this, I enjoyed this beautiful disaster. Let me enjoy my literature. The punches he throws is only on page.
Yes, I am embarrassed that I like this book. I would not go out recommend this out to random folks, but if someone does gush about how much they love this book, I would gush along with them. Yes, it's a guilty pleasure....more

But the Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski is wonderfully crafted. It's so poignantly touching that I cannot stop thinking about it even if I finished it hours ago.
Camryn Bennett has problems but her recent fight with her best friend Natalie has pushed her over the edge and forced her to run away from home. She gets on the bus to nowhere. On the bus, she meets Andrew Parrish. Little did she know that that bus ride would change her life.
The characters have depth in them, despite them being in their 20s. I have highlighted so many wonderful quotes from the book. Here are a few:
"The truth is, we all have problems; we all go through hardships and pain, and my pain is paradise compared to a lot of people's and I really have no right to whine at all."
"You dwell on the past, you can't move forward. Spend too much time planning for the future and you just push yourself backwards or you stay stagnant in the same place all your life. Live in the moment, where everything is just right, take your time and limit your bad memories and you'll get wherever it is you're going a lot faster and with less bumps in the road along the way."
"Just say it. If after you say it and it doesn't feel right, then deal with that, but if you hold that shit in, the uncertainty will be the bigger bitch than the guilt will be."
J.A. Redmerski is now one of my to-look out for authors because The Edge of Never just made it to my favorites list! Highly recommended! :)...more

Why do I always pine for the guy who the leading lady does not end up with? Why o why? First it was Adrian from the Vampire Academy. Rose ended up with Dmitri. Then it was Kiyo (but that was before the murder issue). Eugenie ended up with Dorian? And now here in the Georgina Kincaid series. Oh Roman. (Please take note this doesn't always happen in Richelle Mead's books. This happens almost everytime I watch a movie or TV series or read a book. Like how Hermione ended up with Ron, though I wanted her for Harry Potter.
Anyway, Succubus Revealed is a pretty way to end up a pretty solid series. I remember as I was reading the first few books in the series, I was pretty sure that there was no way Richelle Mead could have saved up Georgina Kincaid's soul, but she did.
The rest of the gang, Hugh, Cody, Peter and Carter were still amazing. Their bantering is so cute. And one would think that hell was all about world domination. It was hilarious to see them fight over supremacy over bowling.
Seth Mortensen is still adorable, but Roman was just it for me. The lengths of his sacrifices for Georgina. It doesn't matter if he used to plot Georgina's death, he made up for it. ...more
