I did not like any of the main characters, except probably their moms. As I was reading, I was expecting for something big to happen. It did happen. It was towards the ending and I was so thoroughly mindf*cked I wanted to throw my beloved kindle on the wall.
But despite the ending, I am not continuing on the series. This is one of those books that are highly overrated....more
I am so glad I got this book on sale, rather than the individual prices 1.99 stamped on each book. If I had paid full price, I would go berzerk. Make no mistake, Four is still a formidable character, and I am glad I got more glimpses into him, however, as much as the book was a kind of good addition to the Divergent series (since it's hard to accept that it's over), sad to say it wasn't really necessary.
On sale today on kindle for $3.25. A steal, considering each book from the collection is 1.99....more

I used to enjoy the angst, the H/h problems, good girl and bad boy getting together, the cheesier than cheetos love declarations.
I think that time has passed. Almost every new adult I have read has that same formula. Just different characters and slightly different problems, but nonetheless, all the same.
3:AM Kisses was bordering on kind of funny to just downright frustrating. Plenty of eyeroll moments for me. I wanted to like the book, but the romance was just too juvenile for my liking.
I will stop shoving new adult romances down my throat and move on to a different genre for now.
I might continue on the series, as I do want to know how the heroine's brother's story go....more
I absolutely adore the show How I Met Your Mother. Well, except for that effing ending, which I hated.
But if there's someone I adore most in the show,I absolutely adore the show How I Met Your Mother. Well, except for that effing ending, which I hated.
But if there's someone I adore most in the show, it would be Barney Stinson. He is legen-, wait for it, I hope you're not lactose intolerant, -dary!
Barney Stinson never disappoints.
The book contains the most precious and sacred articles of the bro code. But wait, there's more! There are puzzles, find the word, poems and printable the "lemon card" to give to lemon dates if you know what I mean, and printable youngest acceptable age to date.
Any book with LISA KLEYPAS sprawled all over the cover is a must read for me. Her books have constantly been 4-stars or 5-stars for me.

To be honest, I do not remember Sugar Daddy much, which is the first book in the Travis' series. That was a 4-star read for me. However, Blue-Eyed Devil, I know I will not forget for a long time, since this book made me cry like a baby.
Haven Travis, an heiress who is set up on making her own path, makes her pick of a husband. Nick was her first boyfriend, first kiss and first everything. The old adage kicks in, "you never know a person, until you live under the same roof." Nick, who seemed like an OK fellow, is actually a narcissistic b*stard who beats the crap out of women. Haven endures for a while, until she is left with a broken hip and kicked out of the house for the night. I was bawling!
This book made me think of domestic abuse, and why women tolerate it. It seems so easy to leave, but I know once you're in it yourself, it's hard to cut loose.
Hardy Cates apparently was a main focus in the first book, but despite me not remembering much, I enjoyed this book more than Sugar Daddy. Hardy Cates was very patient, hard-working and sweet. He started as a blue-collared worker, but ended up rich.
Haven initially thinks that Hardy is using her to get back at her brother Gage, but Hardy was just really attracted to her. The build up of their romance is sweet and perfect. Their journey wasn't easy, but they got there.
Blue-Eyed Devil sure is my favorite Lisa Kleypas contemporary. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
