Both a dream and a nightmare, but a perfect combination, with a bloody bite--grabs you be the throat and never lets you go. I loved it. (less)

It was very enjoyable, especially for a JYA novel. Good story, well written, liked the way it switched between the four characters without giving too much or too little, and then came back full circle. As usual, very different than the movie. (less)

Basically it's a story about growing up different for a disturbing but inevitable purpose, with a little touch of sci-fi. The characters seem realistic, their wants and desires, though not one of them tries to fight their destiny. Heart-wrenching and bittersweet, it's a read you will always remember. I actually listened to it on CD because I was having a hard time getting into the first few pages, and it was awesome. So go out and read it!(less)
