She absolutely melted into a pile of doggy love when she was asked her thoughts on the first book. To be asked for her thoughts on this one had her over the moon.
Hanna was so happy to be able to see Lily and her friend Sam again. And again, she loved the part of the wagging stub of a tail. Gets her every time. (I wonder if I can bottle up this childhood innocence for later on in life?)
What has sold me on this quick, cute series? That Hanna was quite as a mouse the whole way through again. One book I understand because it is new. But when you add another book in, and the same results? Yeah, that is awesome. I kid you not that I have to tell her to be quiet with some books...threatening to not finish until she is. So I give mad kudos to Wilsoncroft for writing a book that keeps her attention the entire time.
Come see what awaits you and Lily in this fun and fearful children’s read as Lily comes face to face with a bully. 5 Furry Stars! (less)

But Sig better watch more than his identity when it comes to her. He needs to watch his heart. Pesky feelings can bring down the strongest of men. And Sig is no different.
Oh M. Leighton you have done it again. You have made yet another fabulous male lead and have me drooling at his feet. I absolutely adore Sig. Sure he is a bit rough around the edges...but that is what I love about him. Dude is falling hard for Tommi and it is fun watching him do so. As a reader you cannot help but see it happening. We all want what is best for these Locke guys. Right?
I adored this stunning read that was absolutely full of suspense and mystery. You have this sense of something bad is about to happen at every turn. And let’s not forget the romance. Oh yes, Leighton is once again at the romance reins guiding us readers right into the arms of this masterful read.
I am eagerly anticipating what is to come in part 2. We are left at a major breaking point in the book and it is anyone's guess where it could go. I. Cannot. Wait!! 5 Fiery, Must Read Stars! (less)

But her actions and choices on All Hallows Eve will prove this notion wrong and she will find her life is forever changed.
This is Felix's first Horror short story and I must say she nailed it. When I found out she wrote it I was giddy with anticipation of how it would read. Would it really be the creepy read she promised it to be? Let me tell you...it was! I have always had a fear of dolls coming to life, ever since I watched that scary movie DOLLS. (Yes, the one way back in the late 80's.) And this book was absolute perfection. I was spooked and loved every second of it.
DOLL OF MINE is a quick and terrifying read that is coming out at the most perfect of times: Halloween. So prepare yourself now for a journey to the Island of Dolls. Yes, dolls. Spooky dolls. Cursed dolls. Don't worry. You are safe. As long as you don't make this journey, too. (less)

Then she wants to put him in his place for the many times he tormented her as a kid. What happens instead is something amazing and beautiful and heartbreaking. Utterly heartbreaking.
I am absolutely, positively, 100% in love with this book. I didn't think I would like it more than STRIKING but I was proved wrong. I loved it 10 times more. I loved seeing Stockton, Cami and Willa show up in all their craziness. But it was Tate and Bridger that sold me on the story. Could not get enough of these two. Would have gladly read for days about them and the nonsense they put themselves through.
I totally get that Bridger has been hurt in the past. That is understandable. But the best part was seeing him slowly emerge from that darkness he allowed himself to be consumed in. Of course, none of the emerging would have been possible if not for the quirky and fun loving red head, known as Tate, hadn't have happened. This girl is something else. And she just comes barreling into his life like a cannon aiming perfectly for its target.
I adored the storyline oh so much. Oh yes. It definitely had me teary eyed in all the right spots and rolling with laughter at times too. And the romance? AHH! It was perfectly done. Lots of swooning to be had. I have some mad love for Higginson and Felix for writing a book that had me enduring all these powerful emotions.
I couldn't have asked for a more fabulous read. Even better is knowing that West is getting his story next. And after experiencing him like we did in this one...you know it will be one heck of a story. He is crazy and adorable all rolled into one, but he is most definitely an experience you won't soon forget.
Loved the book! Loved these characters! Loved it all! 5 Stars all the way! (less)

So I quickly laid it down and started it the next day. I wasn't prepared for the gruesome and the scary parts. But man was this was a fantastic book. Especially now that the Halloween season is upon us. Absolutely the most perfect time to start this great read.
Bryan and his words held my attention the entire time. It had me eagerly anticipating what was to come and what these crazy, spooky ghosts were up to. And I am hoping beyond hope that he has more books planned for Ellie. It definitely needs to happen.
What I wasn't keen on was the lack of romance. I love me some romance. I need me some romance. And yet, this book had none. But it didn't stop me from loving it. Oh no. I was very happy in the end and couldn't have asked for a better book.
A must read…a fantastic read! I look forward to more. (There better be more!) 5 Spooky Stars! (less)

First off, let me mention how incredibly quiet my daughter was the entire story. She absolutely drank the story in. A first for her, as she likes to talk when I am reading to her.
Some of her favorite parts were the nick names the other dogs had and the different dogs we met along Lily’s journey home. One of her most favorite things was hearing about Lily wagging her stubby tail. She thought that was sweet and funny. (Oh the mind of a child!)
Hanna thought the story was a happy one and kept going on about it when we finished. And in the end it made me excited to see the smile on her face while I read her the book! A perfect read for kids. Absolute precious!(less)

There was something about this book that had me aching to get back to it every time I had to put it down. It wasn't overly flashy. It didn't have some huge, shocking twist. No, it was just a classic romance. A romance that makes you weak in the knees as you watch the Prince fall for the girl. Yes! I was smitten with this book. In a lot of ways it reminded me of book one, SUDDENLY ROYAL. It had that same sense of romance. First real love and all the goody that goes with it.
I have adored this series from the start and to finally get up close and personal with Max was well worth the wait. And Meredith is an amazing character too. I adored her as a mother, a duchess, and as a girl you just want to hug. Her life isn't easy by any means, but she makes the most of it to provide for her son, Marty.
I think my only problem came at the end of the story. At first I thought it could have been prolonged a bit more. But I quickly changed my mind once I read the epilogue. Chase summed up the book (and series) perfectly in just a few pages. So all in all, there wasn’t a thing I would have changed about the story.
Seeing these two fall for each other was such a beautiful thing. Readers are going to once again be reminded of real romance in Chase's newest book and all the wonderful feelings that comes along with falling in real love. 5 Stars! (less)

I adored her BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS series, so I thought I'd give this one a go. But to be fair and honest, had I known that it fell more towards the erotica side of NA I probably wouldn't have read it. I don't do well with those type books or the type of dominating male the story had in it. I don’t get the hype! And I ended up skipping over that whole scene.
But I will say I liked the little storyline that rose up in the book. I was eager to hear how Talia's past was going to play a role in the present. And I ended up being quite curious as to how it would all turn out. Did I get all my answers? No. But that is the beauty of books and serials.
If you are a fan of erotica and short serials then this is the read for you. 4 Stars! (less)

While Libby fights for her life in a hospital room, Candy is off to find out who is behind the attack of her best friend. What she finds changes her life forever. Will she be able to save her friend and herself from a most horrible fate? Or will her past show up and prove to be her worst enemy?
I must admit I am not used to reading a book by Straight that isn’t para/supernatural of some sort. But her debut contemporary romance was a home run for me. I really enjoyed it and love the suspense it held. Another book I could play detective. I look forward to seeing If this is something she will continue to explore.
I adored these characters. It was fun getting to know them before all hell broke loose and during the thick of it. Now all the hell Candy goes through wasn’t fun, but the story had its moments. Not all was doom and gloom. We get a couple great back stories and it just helped the story excel to the end and had me loving it that much more.
I was a bit enamored with the romance that showed itself at all the right times. It wasn’t something that was heavily coated throughout the book and that made it perfect. You don’t want a romance that will over power the suspense or the storyline. But in true Straight fashion, we received a book that was perfectly thought out and written.
Another favorite read from a favorite author of mine. I give it 5 Amazing Stars! (less)

From the start you see Whitney dealing with a grief like no other: losing a beloved parent to a tragic accident. We see as she has to pick up the pieces in the aftermath as her mother has checked out on the family. No kid should have to be an adult at 16. It is not fair. But Whitney does it and makes sure her remaining family is taken care of. She was an excellent character in my eyes. I just hate that she had to go through what she went through. But thankfully she gets to be the teenager she is supposed to be when a fellow classmate shows some interest.
GUARDIAN was a wonderful read that, although started out somewhat slow in the beginning, really took off in the 2nd half. I was held captive by the plot from the middle straight on to the end. There were definitely turns I didn’t see coming, characters that had my jaw dropping with their actions, and an ending that was beyond amazing.
It has been some time since I read about Angels and Demons, so to step into this one was a nice change of scenery. But Cole did a wonderful job writing this one, as I do believe this was her debut book. Being YA it is definitely different than the NA books of hers that I am used to reading. But I was still entertained with it none the less. 4 Stars! (less)

(Hang with me while I explain.) When I got to a certain part of the book I was cringing a bit...I felt a certain scene was encroaching upon my comfort zone. I got to the point I felt I needed to put it down. I decided during this time that the book wasn't for me. So then I emailed Hargrove I told her just that. But Hargrove, being the amazing author she is, talked me down from the literary edge I was standing on. She then told me what was going to happen in the book since I wouldn't be reading it. Of course, after spilling to me what was to come, I knew I had to finish it.
And in the end I did finish the book and actually enjoyed it. It did have some kink, but I would skip past those parts. See? I am an old fashion girl…a prude if you will. ;) But I have mad love for Hargrove and her suspenseful stories. To me, she takes suspense to a whole new level. And that is what I love about her. She is not afraid to write what she loves and she does it well.
I didn't connect well with Kolson, or Gabriella for that matter, but I still liked what they brought to the story. Both are tortured souls that have a lot of crap to wade through. But both had each other to rely on the whole way. Are they over their troubles in the end? Absolutely not. In fact, there is much more trouble on the way. I am interested in seeing where Hargrove is going to take Kolson's character. The end definitely left me intrigued.
All in all, I thought FREEING HER was a good read and a great start to a series. I am eager to know what is coming next and seeing the story unfold further. 4 Stars! (less)
