But when she is able to take her daughter to her favorite boy band concert, something more absolutely happens. There she meets Rob and feels an instant connection. But life finds ways of interfering and causing trouble for the two. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles constantly showing up in their way? Or would it be best to just throw in the towel and settle for what is easy and familiar? Hating to leave the comfort zone she has known for 14 years, Amie has to decide just that. But we all know that old saying, “What the heart wants…”
This book was so very cute and I had a hard time putting it down. Even now that I have finished I want to pick it back up and see what happens. But I can't! I have to wait until the end of the year when she is ready to release book 2 of the series. So yeah, it does end on a sorta cliffhanger, but some questions do get answered before it does. Think of it as an ending that is churning up a new storyline. Does that even make since?
Any who, I adored Rob and Amie. Yes, even through all their bickering and her constant questioning of their relationship. I was happy to read of a character that is exactly like her: REAL! Sometimes she could be a little too real. *snickers* Once you read the book you will totally understand. But that is what you get when you read one of Wilsoncroft’s books; you get the real deal and relatable characters. You get women who are not the model types and come with everyday problems. But you get the romance too. Such a roller coaster of a romance.
Fun and flirty, sweet and sexy...this book has it all. Readers are going to inhale what Wilsoncroft has written. 5 I’m Oh So Smitten Stars! ...more

SKETCHY LOVESo far I have only read 2 of the books. I will be reading COUNTER CLOCKWISE very soon! Here are my reviews for those books I have read....
SKETCHY LOVE: SKETCHY LOVE is a wonderful short read that is perfect for anyone who needs a fantastic read in-between books. What you think is starting out as a contemporary soon turns into something more and something intriguing. It absolutely got my attention from the start.
*** My quickened heartbeat told me that any second she could look up and I'd be caught. The knowledge grounded me even more. I needed her to look up. I needed our eyes to meet and for her to see me as not some boy who just showed up out of nowhere. I needed for her to see me as she once did. As she always did. ***
I am not going to lie, I could stand for more of Saint and Fasta in my life. They were wonderful characters. And even though this is a short story, I felt I was able to get to know them in a lot of ways. And in some ways there was a mystery still left about them. Definitely leaving them open for more to come, should the author choose to do so. And I really hope she chooses to. They have stories to tell.
Another must read from Felix! I hope you will give SKETCHY LOVE a go. 5 Stars!
THROUGH GLASS: In less than an hour, the world had fallen apart. I didn't want to think about what they were doing, or who they had killed. I wouldn't think about why they had spared me. I didn't want to think about being left. About being alone. ***
With less than a month of school left before Alexis graduates, her life is changed forever. Her long time crush/best friend is finally starting to show interest in her. Who knew that the day he confesses his feelings for her the world would all but end and hell would take over?
Give me a minute to dislodge my hammering, stammering heart from my throat. In a matter of minutes I was jolted from a lovey dovey scene into a hot mess of emotions that nearly had me peeing myself. True story. I don't think I have ever been thrown into such a disarray of feelings that quickly before with just a few words. But low and behold, I was and I stayed that way the remainder of the book. And as soon as I finished I had to take a few minutes to compose myself and think about all that happened. What does this mean for Alexis and Cohen? What the heck does this mean for me? Do I want to put myself through this hell the author has now sent the world into? Of course I do. So I went and bought every single volume that is currently out. I ain't stupid. I know great story telling when I see it. And I likes what I sees.
*** Even if I could move, even if I could get away, I had nowhere that I could go that the thing would not find me. ***
I fell for these characters after only just meeting them briefly and knew it was character love at first sight. And then the emotional build up in just a few pages had me instantly hooked to their story. Followed by amazing writing by an author that knows how to draw you in with her words and wake up your imagination....that's what you call a 'Win/Win/Win Situation'. That's what you call one hell of an opening book that is sure to be a phenomenal serial series.
A definite must read for anyone needing their senses jarred and awakened. It is a quick read that will have you immediately seeking out the next one of the series. 5 Creepy and Slightly Romantic stars....more

So when it is stolen bePiper is sent off to retrieve an ancient trumpet that is intended to save her mother from a sickness that doesn’t have a name. So when it is stolen before she can even get her hands on it, she is forced to work with Math, a Soul Warrior. Soon she starts realizing that all she has ever known may very well be a lie. And that she is more powerful than she ever believed.
What started off a tad rocky for me (probably because I haven't read the first 2, but was told this was a standalone) soon became a book I hated being away from. I was really, really enjoying what I was reading. So much so, I cannot wait to read book 1.
Yep, it didn't take long and I was jiving along with this storyline and wondering what would happen between Math (adorable name, right?) and Piper (equally adorable). I also wondered if Piper would be able to save her mother from the clutches of Aaron and whisk her off to find healing. Would Piper be able to sort through all the questions weighing down on her before time runs out? All these will be answered before the end of the book. So don't fret.
I think readers who read the first 2 books are really going to like what they read in this one. I mean, I loved it and I am eagerly awaiting a free moment to start the series from the beginning. The characters are fun, flirty and mysterious. The storyline is engaging and wonderfully paced. Oh yes, I am digging these Soul Warriors and their history. 5 Magical Stars!...more

I was so excited to see if Katie would get her happy ending after all the crud she had to put up with dealing with her ex and her father. This girl definitely deserved some joy for once. And I am happy to say that McCrimmon did not disappoint. Expect the sweetness that comes along with first loves. Expect some butterflies. Expect the feels.
I am always happy when finishing one of McCrimmon's books. She knows how to write the romance and give us a wonderful storyline to enjoy all at once. And this one was no exception. I absolutely adored Preston. He is just as endearing as Finch was in the first 2 books of the series. Only this time it is Katie's turn to get the affection of a good man.
If you have been keeping up with the series, you know there is trouble afoot in Haines. And it all points to Katie's daddy. Well, it is going to be Preston's job to come in and clean up the filth that has taken over. And hopefully be able to nab Nate in the crosshairs. The man is a vile person and deserves to be locked away, if only for the way he has treated Katie.
Another beautifully written story with an equally beautiful romance…THIS IS WHERE WE BEGIN is a wonderful read. I give it 5 Stars all the way! Pick it up today and immerse yourself in the goodness of this book! ...more

Or will she convince him to start a new life of their own?
When I first read BURDEN I was smacked useless for several days after finishing it. Any book I may have read soon after most likely didn't register for me. I was that much in love with the story. While I did love book 2, HEARTEN, it still didn't give me all the feels like BURDEN did. But then ENGRAVEN happened. This book! This book once again reminded me of all the feels I had for BURDEN.
** Breaking away from her lips was sheer torture. I pulled back to see her eyes still closed, her mouth still open the slightest bit, her chin tipped back begging me to explore her neck and beyond. "Breathe, female," I teased. **
So much of it reminds me of BURDEN but not too much where you feel it is the same book. Tarrow's character mirrors Hawke's in a way that you know he loves his mate wholeheartedly. He only wants her to be happy. And if that means that he must go away or have her break their bond, then so be it. Gotta love a guy who will move heaven and earth to make his mate happy.
Then we see that Dahlia is a lot like Echo as she is trying to come to terms with being a part of something that is so foreign to her. She will have to learn to understand this new life and try to live it. It will be a hard road for both.
** She took my hand in hers and I gasped at the connection. There wouldn't be a time when my mate didn’t surprise me. **
The romance was beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I drank this story in and came out with the same wonderful feels I had with the first book. I love a story that you know will end well-it has to-but you still get the nervous jitters wondering what all they will go through to reach their happily ever after. Felix doesn't ever (EVER) make it easy on her characters. Something will happen but you better believe they are going to have one hell of a romance to tell in the end.
So if you want a love story to go along with a fantastic shifter read...these books are it. If you haven't picked them up...get on it!! You will thank me later. Oh and there is a snippet of what is to come in book 4, BEHOLDEN. 5 Amazing Stars!

I absolutely loved book one of the Nursery Rhyme Suspense series. So when I was given the chance to read this one I was on pins and needles until I had a free moment to start it. This really is a series that keeps you on your toes and guessing the entire time. If you are like me your person of interest will be changing a lot.
I loved seeing Marlow and Sage again. And even though she doesn't remember who he is, Marlow sure remembers her. His feelings for Sage have grown since he first met her. And if you read book one then you are probably hoping for a love connection between the two. Will it happen? Or will more obstacles get in their way? Read the book! I know you are dying to know!!
LIFE IS BUT A DREAM started out really strong for me. It was a great story that kept my attention throughout the book. I have always loved a good detective'ish read. My only fault was with the ending. It ended a little too abrupt for my taste. Buuuut please don't let that sway you from reading and enjoying the story. You may find you like how it ends.
Fate keeps bringing Collin and Veronica together. And no matter how hard either one fights it, they start to see that you cannot defy fate. ObviouslyFate keeps bringing Collin and Veronica together. And no matter how hard either one fights it, they start to see that you cannot defy fate. Obviously this new relationship is meant to be. Everything about it feels right. But Veronica is bound and determined to put as much distance between herself and Arkansas as she can. She has a past there that she doesn't want catching up to her. So as soon as she has enough cash and a way out of town she is gone. Long gone.
I was so happy with this book the entire time I was reading it. I love seeing that spark between these characters even when they cannot. I love seeing their chemistry grow, even when they think they know what’s best. Now, while I didn't connect much with the characters of the first book, I definitely felt more of a connection to Collin and Veronica. Mostly Veronica. She is from a small town in Arkansas after all. Just like me.
Berry did another fabulous job, if not better, with this one. I loved the romance, which is always a must with me and any book. And once again, Berry had the growing relationship perfectly paced and just the right amount without it feeling overly saturated. I just loved it. I also adored the relationship that bloomed between Collin and Veronica and was glad that they didn't fight it too much into the story. They are such a cute couple and I gladly rooted for them the whole time.
Perfect storyline, adorable characters…that is what I call one heck of a book! Not to mention, I was left with a need to read more from this author. She is one of those you want to gobble up everything she has out. 5 Wonderful Stars! ...more
Carsen has carried her past with her for many years...locked up tight and hidden in her mind. But when she sees someone that looks an awfully lot likeCarsen has carried her past with her for many years...locked up tight and hidden in her mind. But when she sees someone that looks an awfully lot like a key player from her past, she is catapulted right back to graduation night. From there on out she is reliving her past and wondering if the choices and decisions she made all those years ago was worth it.
What was neat, but also a little confusing for me, was the multiple POVs. I found if I didn't make sure to read whose POV it was at the beginning of the chapter and the date, I would be lost until I went back and looked. Sometimes with multiple POVs you can get lost in the story and not a good lost. But I made it work and did enjoy hearing from those in the story. I liked seeing and hearing what was going on inside these characters heads. It really does help make the story that much more.
Sometimes I got a little mad at the characters and how they wouldn’t just speak their minds. Not to mention their emotions were all over the place. But I had to keep my cool and realize that they are just kids. And even though I didn’t connect right at the start with Carsen, I ended up really liking her. And I think I would have made the same choices she did had I been her shoes.
COLLIDE was a wonderful story of finding one's way and learning to deal with the repercussions of the choices you make. But then again it is also so much more...and I for one really enjoyed reading it. I am really hoping that the ending is a lead in to another book; because that was one heck of a cliffhanger we get left with. But still, I recommend it. It was a really good, debut read for the author. 4 Stars! ...more
Ok, here is the dealio. I liked this book. A lot. Was I uncomfortable reading about some of Bella's escapades and where her mind kept going constantlyOk, here is the dealio. I liked this book. A lot. Was I uncomfortable reading about some of Bella's escapades and where her mind kept going constantly? (And I mean CONSTANTLY.) Absolutely. But that is just me. I am sure others out there- the extroverts of the world - would be ok. I, however, am a wallflower when it comes to sex and even talking about it these days. But I continued on reading this book and so glad I did.
Bella goes through hell not far into the story. A hell she has never known. Always up for anything with anyone, she comes face to face with a predator she has yet to encounter until now. This threat will jeopardize everything, including these new feelings for Rafe. Not to mention the disgust and doubts she feels about herself. It really takes in toll on her. But seeing her battle through her hardest year yet at Harkness made this story real and believable and had me rooting for Bella that much more.
And let me not forget Rafe. He is so amazing and sweet and funny and caring. Who would have thought that these two would make a great pair? I didn't. I know Rafe is an absolute catch, but together you probably wouldn’t imagine them as a couple. But in the end, I couldn't get enough of these two. Another couple that has me smitten as a kitten. Love them!
Seeing Bella overcome all she does and get her sweet revenge made this book a wonderful read. Seeing Bella get the guy that she eventually falls for made it even better. Romance, laughter and new relationships....THE SHAMELESS HOUR is a fantastic read! 5 Stars!...more

But when I had Colby—I had her heart and soul. **
When you have the ability to flash to a different country in the blink of an eye, the possibilities are endless. The world is yours for the taking. But what if you are trying to keep that 'world' at arm’s reach for his own safety? What happens when your world reveals a secret so mind blowing you don't know whether to rejoice or curl up and cry?
Colby has always been the wild card in her world of Lucents. Never one to play by the rules. But when Theo comes back into her life and reveals a few things about himself, she begins to realize her true feelings for him. Together they head out seeking answers about who he is and what this means for their future. Together they will get through this. Or will they?
** “Me and you. It’s always been me and you. No matter how stubborn I am, no matter how hard I fight you. Even when I push you as far away as I can and when it’s not far enough, I cross the planet to get away from you. No matter what, it will always be me and you.”
He brought his face as close to mine as he could. Chocolate chip cookies laced his breath and what girl in her right mind doesn’t want to be kissed by a boy who tastes like chocolate. His gray eyes danced around my face before landing on my lips. It wasn’t his eyes I wanted on my mouth. His eyes and mouth rose simultaneously in a smile, “Took you long enough.” **
I loved the unique storyline of this book. I have read of time travelers and whatnot, but Lucents are not time travelers. They stay in the present but can flash anywhere they put their mind to. Literally. Like lightning. In the blink of an eye they are able to go from point A to point B. As long as they have been there before or seen a picture they can visualize. Simple as that. But it is only the female Lucents. Male Lucents are a rare thing. And of course Theo would be one.
And of course they would have enemies. This whole journey is a fight for their lives and to stay out of the hands of the Resin. But what if the enemies are closer than they think? Yep, this book had me wondering over and over "who could they trust?" Everyone is suspect at this point. But I loved that about the story. I loved the mystery that is produced. I loved playing detective, seeking out the bad guys.
** “Why must you break me?” He breathed into my face. His hair danced along my forehead.
“I’m not.” I defied him.
“Yes, you do. Every time I’m in a room with you and I can’t touch you—you break me. Every time you pretend that we are only friends—you break me. Does it make you happy to break me, Querida?”
And then we have the romance. The first half is romance free. Sort of. Colby is denying her feelings for Theo during most of this time. But we see it. She cannot pull one over on us. We know there are feelings for him. It is only a matter of time before he falters and gives in. Theo is a sweetheart. I loved he was a good guy and played by the rules of his people. For the most part. But he is adorable and sexy and absolutely swoony.
All that is left to say is that LIGHTNING KISSED is a fabulous read and will leave you gasping for the next book! Oh yes, this ending is sure to please and have you eagerly anticipating what is to come. 5 Amazing Stars!
Other fav line... “That should be us. We should be in the streets, enjoying life together. Sometimes this ability doesn’t seem like a gift at all. Sometimes it seems like false freedom.” I whispered more to the dark than to Colby. I could feel her take a deep breath with her back against my chest.
“One day it will be. That’s all I want.”
“Tell me what you want, Querida. Tell me all of it.” Her hair moved as the motion of my whisper floated across it.
“Just go to sleep, Theo.” Her voice drifted with the last words. ...more

I was enamored from the start to finish and especially with everything in between. As you read this unique story, there is a paranormal/supernatural vibe that made itself known periodically. It makes you question what you read. Did I read that right? But I thought this was a Contemporary Romance? Just you wait! All these questions will eventually be answered. And I hope you enjoy how they get answered as much as I did.
I just adored Kade and Juliette. Both are great, strong characters when alone. But when together they become so much more and you find yourself falling more and more for them. I enjoyed their story and wouldn't mind seeing more from them in the future.
THE FALL AND RISE OF KADE HART was a definite page turner from the start. It grabs you and captivates you with its mystery as well as the romance. This book can be read as a standalone, but it probably wouldn't hurt to read the others before it. I have missed the 2 stories after the first and I feel as I am missing out on some really good reads.
Ryan had always been pulled between the Ryan she wanted to be-carefree and happy, loved and important- and the one she felt like she had to be. Crowd Ryan had always been pulled between the Ryan she wanted to be-carefree and happy, loved and important- and the one she felt like she had to be. Crowd-pleasing and similar, complaint and likable. But I could still see the girl Ryan really was, and she was amazing. ***
Ever watched one of those movies and thought, "Hey that was just a really good movie"? Nothing really jumped out at you to make it spectacular or flashy. Just really good all the way down into your bones and one you felt you could watch over and over just because of how it was and how it made you feel. I am probably blabbering nonsense at you. But that is how I felt about this book. It was just a good read that I would gladly reread one day.
Don't get me wrong, it is not an altogether feel good read. Ryan goes through a lot of grief as she is rushing and trying to make herself fit in to the Greek life she thinks will bring her closer to her father. Its like "square peg meet round hole" nearly the whole time. Of course there are the good parts. Like when she meets some amazing friends. But there are the rough ones, too. Those you will just have to read for yourself.
I didn't really connect with Ryan and would find myself wanting to smack her for the decisions she was making. But I understood where she was coming from. I knew a lot of those decisions were coming from a place deep within. A place to feel accepted by her dad. She was just going about it the wrong way and losing friends and love in the meantime.
RYAN REVISITED is a really good debut for Davis and cannot wait to see what else this author has in store for the future. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a clean, New Adult read. 4 Stars! ...more

We catch up with the group rolling into Columbia on fumes. Literally. Starved and broken down (in all aspects) the group must manage to stay alive long enough to find the researchers before it is too late. How crazy would it be to realize they fought through hell to make it here, only to die first or find out there is no one left searching for the cure?
Oh dear me. Here I sit, typing this review of LOVE & DECAY for the very last time. Well, for Reagan that is. Higginson plans to continue on with the series but with a different POV. I won't let on to who it is going to be. I'll let you find out for yourself at the end of the book. But oh the possibilities that are sure to come!
And let me tell you...this series has been my favorite from the very first words. I got my romance and my zombie fix. I got characters that have become a family of sorts for me. I also got a storyline that never stopped or bored me what so ever. What more could I possibly ask for? Nothing, that's what. All that wraps up to make the best darn novella series ever written. In my honest opinion at least. And I will stick with it until Higginson says she is finished and done with it all.

Ever since I finished KISS ME HARD BEFORE YOU GO , I had been wondering She was a supernova. The stars. The moon and the sky. She was magnificent. **
Ever since I finished KISS ME HARD BEFORE YOU GO , I had been wondering about those beloved characters I came to love. What came of them all? Did Evie and Finch find their happily ever after? Did a small town like Haines end up welcoming their newest additions with open arms? Or has life been a constant struggle ever since we last saw them?
We find all of that and so much more in LIKE ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL. We see some sides of our favorite characters we wasn't sure existed. Maybe because I held them up on a higher pedestal than I honestly should have. It wasn't a bad side, just understandable at the time and with the circumstances that were handed to them. But I truly loved it and the characters even more now. We got to know them even more and that just threaded them deeper into my heart.
LIKE ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL was such a beautiful story full of that fun, first love (but real love) romance and wonder. McCrimmon pens a book so wonderfully done you feel a part of it all somehow. She also captures the time period remarkably, so it shows she did her research. She really did an amazing job bringing this story to life and I am happy to have read it, because I enjoyed it oh so much. 5 You May Need The Tissues Stars! (Because I sure did!) ...more

Reagan has come to realize it is time to pack up and move out. Mexico City has been nothing but a nightmare for them and it is time to move on and put some distance between them and this hell on earth.
This is one of those “Shake your fist at the heavens” episodes. One of those “You got to be kidding me” episodes. Seriously. You got to be kidding me. I am really not sure what all I can say or will be able to say. I don’t want to give much away, but if you are current on the episodes you most likely know what is to come. Prepare yourself now. Once again, The Parkers and Reagan are venturing into a city full of unknown and uncertainty. They are to find Tomas and hopefully, with his help, get through Mexico City intact and unharmed as they make their way to Columbia. Just when they think they are doomed for good...well, they just might be.
Three-fourths of this story is all out crazy. The stuff they see when they reach the city is beyond devastation. It is by far the worst they have ever seen before. It is just death upon death, dead upon dead. But the last fourth of the book is where sweet overcomes it all. You fans of the series are going to flat out love what comes in the end. Things happen that we haven't gotten to appreciate in some time: love, romance, and being happy.
I do, however, think all the sweet is trying to make you forget the ugly that is sure to come. We are living in the zombie world now and nothing is a sure thing. If we have learned anything since the beginning, it is that.
I have said it before, I will say it again...this series is one of my all-time favorites and I can never get enough. 5 Stars All the Way!
