Being sexually abused at a young age and can do nothing about it, how helpless she must have felt. Being betrayed by such a close family member, she's really lucky that she didn't turn over to the dark side.
Kai and Myla both met at a young age cause their parents are close friends. I think during that sight is when Kai fell in love with her. And can i say he's very protective of her since young. And when her life is in danger, he do the right thing. Marry her.
And here comes the trouble. He has tons of enemies as he's kinda in the underground business. And so it begins. Comparing to the first book, i prefer this book as it has progressed much more as in the style of writing. ...more

I know she's desperate to run away from the nightmare, but turning away from your lover too ? That's too absurd, really. And she really expect after the turning she can be released and be together with Joshua? She does really gets on my nerve sometimes, or should i say most of the time. Sigh. Perhaps that's just her character but i certainly does not like her a lot. ...more

I would have kept him alive for a few days, torturing him every single day, and not killing him. That would be more satisfying and deserving. ...more

Zoltan found out that Russel has an arrow that matched the description of his father’s killer. Therefore when Russel traced, he managed to hang on to him, so he traced along. And he arrived at Beyul-La. It was a placed that was hidden by the mountain and fog. And there he found Neona. Ah, such a paired up beauty, the two of them. Being lived in Beyul-La and drinked water from the Life Fountain, those who lived there are quite fortunate to not being aged. Why we don’t have that on Earth? =( But this village have a special rule. No MAN. Not even in plural form. But hey, how do they reproduce when they all consist of female? Oh, well, they have another rule for that too. Any man who intrude the village, don’t kill them first if they are man. Keep them alive until you can obtain his seed. Yes, they call it seed. But I call it rape. But I think the man that are being captured, most of them are willing victim. So, for them, I think is consensual. But what they don’t know is that after having sex with them, they had to be killed off. Talk about black widow. So here is Neona, seeing this tall, dark and handsome man, thinking he’s a good candidate for her child. And so she captured him. And there they hit it off.
Queen Nima. She’s the head of the village. And Neona is her daughter. That make her a princess.
Zhan. Funny leopard. I wish to have one like Zhan. It would be a priceless companion.
Xiao Feng and Norjee. They would make an odd couple though. I’m glad that they are just a fling. Xiao Feng is more suitable for a gentle-but-kickass lady. ...more

But, tecEhd and Beth love story reminds me about Stockholm syndrome. I mean, falling in love with your captor doesn’t always happen and it ends ugly. But, technically, Ehd holds Beth against her will, so this counted as kidnapping, right? But then, I realize that she’s the only human that Ehd ever see after a long long time. So, I can’t blame him for keeping her because after being alone for such a long time, you just want some companion or else you might go crazy after being isolated for such a long time. That’ll do some heavy mental damage.
So the whole story takes me from how they survive, their daily chores, stocking up their supplies for winter, and also having sex for the first time. Both of them. I admit, I thought this story takes place in 21st century in a very secluded island or mountain. But in the end, we know that Beth actually travels back in time to the prehistoric age. That’s a twist I didn’t see coming.
Alright, back at the sex thingy. I mean, for both first timer, Ehd did pretty well because I didn’t sex in the prehistoric age knows well about these stuff. Haha. For a prehistoric person, Ehd knows a lots of things through his observation in his village. I feel bad that he’s alone and have no one to talk with before he found Beth. So, the book did pretty well in exploration and also pregnancy throughout the book. And having kids, they realize they need a bigger cave or build a house, larger area for their family, food supply and also potential husband and wife for their children. Ehd decided to communicate with other people in order to have a better survival chance. Great mind and I would clever, this Ehd. Therefore, I think he did pretty well for a husband for Beth and also a good father figure for the children.
Overall, this book does goes a bit higher than my expectation. And this is a guy’s POV. And I found myself liking to read from a guy’s POV. ...more

Damn, the girl went through way more than i thought. How can she survive all these year without anyone close helping her? Pure determination...... Such courage and strength, i truly admire her.
After the bad incident, it really change her life in a lot of ways. She does not let anyone direct her life and certainly not mess with her. But in the beginning, she's kinda like the tough chick. But i guess, before becoming a tough chick, you must have been troubled by something and it doesn't kill you, you turn out to be stronger.
And how Jason pamper her after knowing what happen. I guess he does feel bad after accusing her being hot and cold. ...more

Both of them are quite intriguing. She's a healer but it sort of use up her energy and she become weak. And the banter goes back and forth.
This is not my first goblin book but it was done nicely. I mean, they are a dangerous kind and not exactly human kind. In this book, i felt that all the POV are disturbing the development between Diana and Damon. Telling us about the history of Roman's other brother. It was surprising that we had another enemy to fight against with.
The book end with telling us who's the next queen of the next book. ...more
