Let me first say...that I've read many romance books since 2009, but I've never read a book that made me such an emotional wreck after reading it, that it took me a few days to calm my nerves before I tempted to type up a review of it. Oh my goodness, Sylvia Day, knows how to make a reader go through an emotional roller coaster in zero point one seconds. ( at least that's how long for me ) When I got the email from Netgalley saying I was approved to read "Reflected in You", early...I scared my family by screaming and jumping up and down like my oldest daughter does when she gets something she absolutely loves. Gideon Cross, how I missed you the last 5 months. While every mom out there is going crazy over the Fifty Shades Trilogy, I've been going crazy over the Crossfire books by Sylvia Day and going gaga over Gideon. *sigh*
(Just to let everyone know...no Spoilers here...I want everyone to enjoy the book...because this is a must-read for everyone who loves contemporary erotic romance)
"Reflected in You" picks up where Gideon and Eva left off. Eva has been seeing Gideon at his place and vice versa. She still does not know what to think of what her room mate, Cary has done and she knows something is going on with him. Gideon is having to take a business trip and he wants Eva to go...actually he orders her to go since he can't seem to get enough of her. Of course, Eva needs to have a moment with Cary and come to terms to what he did in their apartment. Gideon agrees to let her go on her own little trip for a weekend with Cary, but with of course with some stipulations...that she must stay in one of his hotels and be protected.
Eva is noticing changes with Gideon when they get back from their trip. He keeps acting cold one second and hot the next. She has no idea what is going on, but she knows he's keeping secrets. One of those secrets could evolve her and her past creeping back up to get her.
Gideon, plays the domineering, over-bearing, protective, and secretive alpha male again in "Reflected in You", but he also opens up a bit with some of his secrets on what happened to him and why he is the way he is. He becomes very odd in this book and several times I wanted to beat his butt for Eva because he was acting like a jerk towards her, but then he would throw in, "trust him", every once awhile, that maybe think, he was up to something. (Seriously, the man made my blood boil second and heart race another second...he was driving me crazy...GRRRR!...but I still loved him).
Eva was being her usual self in "Reflected in You". She was jealous over Gideon's past loves and getting upset with things that Gideon kept doing and she would find out later on the web. There was a time in the book with one of Eva's decisions, that I backed her 110%. She was fed up with Gideon and just wanted to live her life as normal....not with Gideon being cold-hearted and hiding stuff from her. Her family and friends were even worried for her.
Sylvia Day didn't disappoint at anything when it came to the sex scenes between Gideon and Eva. (Can I just say...I'm happy to have read that Gideon and Eva went to the Outer Banks in this book...since it's my second home) =) That was the best part of the book when it came to Gideon not getting on my nerves.
The ending though, blew my mind and left me wanting more. How could Sylvia, leave me hanging like that. She also answered all my questions that had been bugging me since the beginning. Her writing style is fantastic and flowed really well. If you've read books before that had you keep flipping because you just couldn't get enough...that is how Sylvia's is. Like I stated in the beginning, "Reflected in You" is a serious roller coaster of emotions. I went from happy, smiling, bawling like a baby, boiling hot from anger, and about to throw down with one certain character in just a few seconds. I'm telling you, in warning so you are prepared ahead of time. Be prepared to have tissues, and be prepared not to bend your book or hit your Kindle a couple of times because you just want to jump in the book and whoop some butt.
I'm really looking forward to the final book to the Crossfire Trilogy because there is still plenty of questions to be answered and I want to see if Gideon and Eva will finally have their happily ever after. They both deserve it. Both characters have their own issues. Let's just say Eva's problem gets fixed and Gideon's is just now coming up in the story.
All I can say is...this book made me LOVE Gideon even more. How could anyone resist, one sexy, billionaire, twenty-eight year old who owns half of Manhattan (at least that is how Eva describes him and I have to agree with her). *sigh*
Now if only it could be December already so I can have my final fix of Gideon. =)

I have been waiting patiently to read C.J.'s latest release, Vanilla on Top. This is definitely a FAVE for 2013 and I cannot wait to read the next installment. Discover your inner bad girl, and set her free....hello...is that not catchy? I know after reading this book, I need to set my inner bad girl free more often. =) "Vanilla on Top" should not be compared to Fifty Shades or even Crossfire. This book is in a league of its own. I had a hard time putting it down and of course my husband kept giving me the weird eyes whenever he would see me reading this from my iPad. He was always asking what I was smiling about...he has no idea. =) Be prepared to be blown away from the first chapter in the book with a very heated, steamy scene between Heather and Tony. This book is about Heather Pierce taking control of her life. She is tired of being the good girl and decides to set the bad girl inside of herself finally out. She is new to it, but when she finally gets the courage to set her free, she is about to have some of the wildest times with the one man who she met at a speed dating event, Tony, and he will have a hard time resisting her. The only thing is Tony is about to change Heather's world once Heather finds out the truth on where he works and what he is up to. He never knew Heather and that his job would end up almost ruining her career.
C.J. Ellisson does an amazing job with writing a book that actually has a female character taking over the dominant role in the bedroom, and without using the tools you would find in a sex shop, but instead every day things that make it romantic. She even writes a male lead who is able to let the female take over in the bedroom, or whenever, or wherever. Tony definitely needed Heather though since he was used to being in control. She managed to tame the man from his own ways. She reminds us how women could play the vanilla Dom in a relationship. Heather had her insecurities at first, but in my own opinion she overcame those insecurities. The best part of Heather is that she used fantasies that she was comfortable doing and she happened to be a romance reader. (And she even referenced she never read Fifty Shades...which she may be a fictional character, but I definitely am one of those readers who has not read it...I'm really trying to now...but it may be my first DNF ever) C.J.'s writing style is unique compared to other contemporary romance or erotic writers out there, which makes me adore her even more. She does not follow in others footsteps. She takes a different route into the genre. There is no comparison with Vanilla on Top to other erotic books. If you are a fan of contemporary romance or erotic genres and want to read a book where the roles are switched, you definitely need to read "Vanilla on Top". Warning....sex scenes are throughout this book. Who knows maybe you as a woman, will find out you have a inner bad self yourself after reading this book. I know I must unleash my inner bad girl more often. (It does drive the hubby crazy) =)

I read this on a road trip to Richmond, VA and this book happens to be based in Richmond since that is where Alana Shelton goes to Reckless Beat's concert. (Coincidence...I think not...Hubs had a convention to go to and I found the opportunity to finally read the book) =)
Eden Summers you know how to write a book...my dear. I LOVED every part of this book and now I am officially a groupie of the band "Reckless Beat" even when they are fictional. My husband kept given me the strange eyes and asking me why I was constantly smiling/giggling while reading on the trip to Richmond. Oh...if only he knew. I could not share with him what I was reading due to little ears listening at the time in the car. This is not a book you share with your children around.
Alana Shelton has lived a sheltered life and when she meets the sexy guitarist, Mitchell Davis for the first time, she is about to find out what she has been missing out on. She was taught by her mother that men are not to be trusted, but Mitchell proves her Mom's theories wrong. Mitchell takes care of Alana due to an incident he put her in. He has never felt this way with a woman before. The minute Mitchell spots Alana in the crowd in front of him, while he is performing, he is determined to meet her. There is something about Alana and he feels maybe if he has one night with her, she will get out of his system. Unfortunately...he never expected what happened to happen. His band mates are even telling him that he should not just walk out of Alana's life due to his possessiveness and love he keeps showing for her.
Mitchell...what can I say about the sexy guitarist, who stole my heart the minute Eden described him...he definitely won my heart. He was very protective and caring of Alana. He even took it slowly with Alana at first and it was Alana, who wanted more. Alana was such a sweetheart. She had no idea who to trust after she found out certain lies that came to surface. I would have reacted the same way she did. Blake...is one character I want more of. The scene between him, Mitchell, and Alana would probably have some people reacting differently, but he was such a sweetie to Alana and he busted Mitchell several times. He literally got Mitchell to realize what would happen if he walked away from Alana. I want more of Blake. He definitely deserves someone to love.
Eden did a fabulous job on the first book to the Reckless Beat novels. I loved page in this book and the steamy scenes...let's just say I wish I would have not read on a road trip. I needed a cold shower after several of the scenes. One in particular between three characters. Oh boy!!! That is the scene where my husband caught me smiling like the cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland.
I give this book 5 full moons and highly recommend it to contemporary romance readers and readers who love sexy rockstars in their books. You will fall madly in love with the band members of Reckless Beat. Just fair warning, I have dibs on Blake. =)

This book definitely has my favorite kind of storyline in it due to being a computer geek and former information systems technician in the Navy, where I worked for a few years in the Network Security field. Now I am actually pursing a degree in the field now. =) The minute I read the synopsis of the book I knew I had to read it. This book not only brings you romantic suspense, but a look into what the biggest threat is to today's world...cyber crime. People tend to forget how dangerous their computer is and what it could do and what people can actually make it do. This book makes people wake up about the concerns on what people out there can do to steal your identity and your information without you even knowing it. I will not go into detail on the story because I feel I will give too much away. Instead I will go over every thing I liked about this book.
-Nancy C. Weeks definitely did amazing research in the field Dr. Sarah Tu does in the book. In fact, I liked how if anyone who has not worked in the field is able to understand the terms that someone may not know. For example...botnet, zombie computers, viruses, etc. -I absolutely adored Dr. Sarah Tu and Jason McNeil. They both were definitely met to meet each other and come together. It definitely broke my heart though on how they actually met each other, but in the end, it all came down to the one person who helped link them together, Hanna (Sarah's sister). -The plot of the story is definitely interesting and will suck you in from the beginning and you will want to know why Sarah is being targeted. You will also want to know the real why Hanna was targeted as well in the beginning of the book. -The saddest part of the book, made it even the best part of the book. Poor Sarah went through a lot in this book, but no matter what she had her sister with her, it just took someone else to help her realize it. -The villains in the story...do not think it is one person because it will end up being another person in the end. You will be shocked to find out what Sarah finds out what is going on in Noran, the company she works at. -Did I say already that I loved Jason McNeil...he stole my heart the minute he was in the hospital with Sarah and Hannah. He is a FBI agent and Nancy C. Weeks did another fabulous job of his job detail and what his job was in the book. He tried everything to be patient with Sarah and it was hard for him. (I definitely think Sarah should of taken it easy on him)
I was literally sucked into the book and wanting to find out who was behind everything. Nancy C. Weeks did an amazing job on her debut book and I look forward to what she has in store next. Be warned from the first page to the last page you will have a hard time putting down this book. It's full of action, suspense, romance, and a lot of tension between the characters (Jason & Sarah...because they both are not able to open up until later).
I give this book 5 full moons and highly recommend it to romantic suspense fans out there. You will enjoy every minute of this cyber crime thriller by Nancy C. Weeks.(less)

Claudy Conn has done it again...she sucked me in another Regency Historical Romance and made me fall in love with the characters and their world. Lord Wainwright is now going on my list of FAVE sexy, male characters that I would to marry...Oops...do not tell my hubby. =) Chelsea is wanting to make her mark in the world and find the man who will sweep her off her feet, just like her friends keep talking about. She's about to turn 19 and she wants to meet the one person who will make her happy for the rest of her life. Unfortunately, she's dealing with Aunt drama who has not even been there for her since she received guardianship of Chelsea. She just wants Chelsea because of the trust money she has. Chelsea runs to her Godmother's house to be around someone who really adores and loves her for who she is. Daisy, her godmother, wants to find a perfect suitor for Chelsea and enrolls her nephews help to get Chelsea out there in front of the eligible bachelors eyes. Lord Wainwright does not want to watch over a child, at least that is what he thinks of her when he first sees her, until Chelsea has a make over and now Lord Wainwright cannot keep his eyes off of her. He knows it is wrong to have feelings for Chelsea, but he cannot help himself. There is something about the beautiful Chelsea that has him in a bind. Augusta, Chelsea's Aunt, who is nothing, but a vindictive woman is even more angry with Chelsea since Chelsea seems to be stealing away Augusta's handsome rogue. Now Augusta wants Chelsea out of the way and she has recruited her brother to help her sweep Chelsea away from the man she has had her eyes on for awhile...and her brother is ruthless enough to do anything to have Chelsea for himself since money is involved and his greedy for more. Chelsea is about to be thrown in a world she has to become adult quick and she finds herself in love with a man who may belong to another and a world where men will do anything to have her because of how much she is worth.
Seriously...I love Claudy Conn's regency romances. She has me fall in love with the rogue every time and she also has me loving the female characters as well. Even the secondary characters are ones that I fell in love with. Not only is Chelsea having her moment of love...but so is her Godmother, Daisy, which is definitely a match made in heaven. Daisy deserved a happily ever after as well for everything she had gone through. The villains in the story are ruthless and it seems it is a family trait. They will do anything to get what they want. Claudy Conn definitely knows how to transport you back in time where men tried everything to sweep a woman off their feet so they can marry them. I will say this, Lord Wainwright can sweep me off my feet anytime. I'm jealous over Chelsea. The steamy scenes between the characters will require you taking a cold shower afterwards though, so be prepared ahead of time.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves reading historical romances, is a fan of Claudy Conn, and loves to fall in love with a rogue who becomes tamed because of one beautiful young lady who changes his ways. Claudy Conn even gives you a sneak into other stories that she has written after you read, "Runaway Heart", which will make you want more anyways. I know I cannot get enough of Claudy's books. =) (less)

This is my second book by Eden Summers that I have read and she definitely kept me turning the pages again. "Conceal Desire" is one sexy, steamy emotional book that will make your emotions go haywire. I know there were times I wanted to go through the book and slap some characters around for what they were doing or not doing. (One character who seriously was going to get slapped was Max Sutherland....I despised him)
Beth Graison has worked at Sutherland & Son for awhile now and she has always respected the Sutherland guys at work...until Max Sutherland gives her a proposition, which makes her question his integrity and it bothers her more than it should. She then becomes traumatized on what Max offers her and ends up doing something that is not normal of her doing. Dean Sutherland, son of Max Sutherland, ends up helping her out because he has never seen Beth out of sorts. He has always seen her smiling and hard at work in the company. Beth has been in love with Dean since the first day she started working at the company. Unfortunately, Dean is her boss and he has been labeled as a player with the ladies. Beth does not want to get involved with a boss and does not want to ruin her career. Until, the one day that Dean helps her, she realizes that Dean may have another side that other women do not know about. She's not sure if their connection is real and if Dean is just playing her around like the other women. Beth is about to find out how Dean really feels about her.
I do not want to tell more about the storyline because I am afraid I'll give too much away. I loved reading "Concealed Desire". I could have read it in one sitting, but of course having two girls and a husband who love to interrupt while I'm reading....it was not possible this week. Dean Sutherland was one sexy male, who definitely could win me over anytime. He was such a sweetie with Beth, even when he did not know what to say because he never was in a relationship before. Beth though was hard headed when it came to Dean and I wish she would have listened to what Dean had to say in the beginning. I was a little upset on what Dean's father, Max was trying to propose to Beth and I was even more upset with what Dean's father did before to Dean. What kind of Dad does that to their son and he wondered why Dean did not want to be close to him? Grrrr!!
Eden Summers definitely is one author who is an auto buy for me. Her first book I read, "Sneaking a Peek" had me jumping in a cold shower after I read it and "Concealed Desire" definitely had its moments as well. If you are a fan of Eden Summers previous books you will definitely love "Concealed Desire". I recommend this book to contemporary romance readers out there everywhere.
-The best part of the book was the ending with what Dean kept doing to Beth whenever he asked her something. (You'll have to read it to find out)-(less)

I love diving into books that involve shapeshifters. I definitely do not regret one bit about losing sleep at night so I can read this book. Thank goodness for coffee in the morning to keep me going. Sara has created a whole entire different world of shapeshifters that I’m not used to reading. Bring on clans of different species of shapeshifters and that is what the Amoveo is all about. I love it!! ”Unleashed” tells the story of Samantha and Malcolm. You get to experience from both of their points of views in the book, which I always love. Sometimes just being in one character’s point of view can get boring at times. I like to know what’s going on with the other characters too. Samantha is moving back to her hometown due to her artwork not selling in New York. Of course, she doesn’t realize that the world she knows, is about to be turned upside down on her…but in my opinion in a GOOD way. She gains a hunky, sexy, protective male, who any woman out there would not mind having as a mate. She’s been having dreams for awhile about a wolf, beach, and this sexy man who invades her dreams…but she doesn’t know who he is. She even has been painting a wolf into her works sometimes. What does it all mean to her? Those dreams will eventually lead her to her mate…which is Malcolm. He will let her know of everything about the Amoveo Clans and that they are meant to be together. Of course, you always have villains in books too…which you will be introduced to humans (the Caedo) who despise the Amoveo Clan because they think they are an abomination. After 30 something years, the Caedo are showing their faces again and wanting to get rid of the Amoveo Clans. All because Samantha is special. She’s a hybrid, half-human, half-Amoveo (which has never been known and some of the Amoveos area skeptical about it). You will even get a Caedo point of view in the book…which I couldn’t believe who the Caedo was at the end. Definitely wasn’t expecting the villain to be someone right under their noses. I also wasn’t expecting something else at the end with who was trying to kill Samantha. Oh boy…what a twist. You will also be introduced to other characters in the book…Kerry, Dante, Richard (he sounds dreamy…maybe because he’s the Prince), Nonie (Samantha’s grandma…which is definitely one of my fave characters), and Davis ( just to name a few ). If you do read this book…pay attention to the Amoveo’s traditions, etc, especially the mating part. That is definitely a new twist on mating unlike any other book I’ve read. I recommend this book to all shifter lovers and paranormal romance addicts. You will definitely enjoy this new shapeshifting world that Sara has created. I love the ideas of eagles, foxes, lions, wolves, etc I’m looking forward to reading the next installment to see who else gets mated. =) I already have a clue though from this book.(less)

H.D. Smith is a new to me author and I’m glad I was introduced to her latest release, Dark Hope through a blog tour. The synopsis alone caught my attention and the fact it’s Urban Fantasy is why I wanted to read it.
This book is like no other story I’ve read before and I love when authors can create something that takes me on a wild ride I’ve never been before. Here we have the main character, Claire who is the Devil’s assistant. She has his mark due to her taking her mother’s debt to the Demon King.
Claire gets caught in the crossfire of her Boss’s oldest son, Junior who ends up dead in his office. She becomes determined to find out killed him and may be in the process she finds away to get out of her binding with the demon king. Here is when the story really gets interesting, but of course I’m not going to spoil it for anyone and give away the best parts. H.D. Smith will throw Claire into several obstacles to find out the truth on why certain people want to have her as their pet and why she truly is settling a debt with the Demon King. There’s the devil himself (Claire’s Boss) otherwise known as the Demon King, the Pagan Queen (who is ruthless as anything…I hated her in the story), and the Druid King (who should be Claire’s protector…but yeah..he didn’t seem to be). These three all want to either protect, kill, torture, confuse, or stress out Claire in some kind of way in the book. I felt terrible for the girl. That’s not all she had to deal with though throughout the book.
Then there’s the four hellspawn who are sadistic, crazy, and completely off their chain in their own kind of way that want to hurt Claire. (They play a major role in the story and sometimes I got confused in certain parts of the book with these four. They were weird though at times. Really weird…but psychotic too.) Mace for one is a freaking crazy psychotic demon who is either secretly in love with Claire or just wants to torture her for fun. I literally wanted to punch him at times in his face or kick him where it counted for Claire. I was scared for her when she ended up with him. He literally gave me goosebumps not in the best of ways when reading his parts in the story. (Right now I’m getting freaked out about him)
H.D. Smith does not make it easy for Claire to find out answers in this book, but she held her own throughout the book. Claire is one tough chick and she definitely made the book interesting. I felt sympathetic towards her throughout the book because when the truth came out, she didn’t know who to really trust. The poor girl just wanted to be happy and normal. I wanted her to be happy and normal. Poor chick literally went through purgatory, hell, and several other places that she never wanted to go through in the book.
If you looking for a book that has lots of dark twists and turns, and intense action-packed scenes with drama…then this is the book for you.
I look forward to next book now, especially how H.D. Smith left me hanging at the end. (Yup…warning there is a cliffhanger.)
I give this book 4 full moons and recommend it to urban fantasy readers out there. This is a book that has demons, druids, and pagans that you definitely don’t want to piss off.

I had the pleasure of reading an advance copy of "A Demon and A Witch" and now I'm hooked onto this series that Eve Langlais has created. This is my first actual book written by Eve that I've read, but I actually had several of her books on my TBR on Goodreads. I'm now going to spend this summer diving into the other books from Eve Langlais so I can wait patiently for the next Welcome to Hell book. Ysabel was burned at the stake 500 years ago while her supposed lover watched her burn. Her lover's Mom accused of her of being a witch because she didn't want her with her son. When she was burning she promised to have revenge on all who accused her. How does she promise revenge...she sells her soul to Lucifer himself where she can come back and revenge her death. Those souls are to suffer for eternity in hell. She's forced to be Lucifer's assistant for 500 years though. Now her contract is almost up...but unfortunately Lucifer has some bad news. Those souls that were supposed to burn in hell for eternity have escaped which makes her contract still in effect even though her time is almost up. Here's the kicker, now she's forced to burn everyday at the same time she was burned 500 years ago due to what was in her contract. She's teamed up with a playboy half-demon (fire demon) Remy who always has something sarcastic or sexy to say, to find those souls. My thoughts on A Demon and His Witch is I loved it from beginning to end. I was laughing my butt off the whole entire time with Ysabel and Remy. Both of them had serious issues with each other. Ysabel hated Remy and Remy couldn't stop picking on her. Remy kept trying to pursue her, but Ysabel had not been with a man for 500 years since her ex-lover betrayed her. She's had NO trust in a man ever since. Would you blame her though, her supposed lover watched her burn at the stake. I love Eve's writing style. =) I was addicted to this book the minute I started reading it. I love reading a book that makes me fall out of my seat because I'm laughing so hard. I loved the steamy, tension between Remy and Ysabel. Remy is irresistible though, how could she keep denying him? I know I would have issues. I also was loving Lucifer. He acted like the father of Remy and Ysabel, so many times he had to put both of them in their places. Here he just wanted to get ready to play a golf game with his brother, but they wouldn't leave him alone over their sexual tension. Lucifer had so many tricks up his sleeves for them both. =) "A Demon and His Witch" is a great start to a new series. The next book "A Demon and His Psycho" will be out this August, which I'm already counting down too. I recommend this book for paranormal romance readers out there. If you're looking for a great paranormal romance book and a book that will make you laugh so hard...you need to buy this book or at list add to your wish list. You won't regret it.(less)

Serialized novels are my new addiction. I rather pay $0.99 for 75 pages for a few ebooks that lead up to the very last book...instead of paying $12.99+ for a ebook that some publishers are doing now (some of the ebooks are even more than the print copy of the book). Plus, serialized novels, make you want more after you read each short novel. (They also come out pretty quickly...which is always a plus for me)
Sara Humphreys takes us into the world of the Princes of Hell in her first serialized novels of Asmodeus aka the Demon of Lust. Sara did a fabulous job introducing Asmodeus and the other Princes of Hell. So far Asmodeus is the one, who has intrigued me the most with his way of trying to win over someone. He is the Demon of Lust, but Kai Kelly, the one he is supposed to seduce is able to resist him. Any gal, who can resist the Demon of Lust gets major props.
Asmodeus is definitely a character, who will win over any reader due to his charm and sexy ways. He helped Kai in this book with what she needed done at her Grandfather's house that she inherited. Asmodeus did have a secret agenda to helping Kai, but in the end, he won me over with that charm of his. I will not go into describing the book any further because like I said in the beginning its a very short novel and I will be spoiling it for anyone, who wants to read it. I am one of those, who hates spoilers in reviews. If you are a fan of Sara Humphrey's other novels, you will enjoy Asmodeus tremendously. If you have never read any of her novels before then what are you waiting for. Here's your chance. I definitely enjoyed this first short novella of Asmodeus and look forward to reading the rest of the short novels soon. It kept me entertained at every page and I was addicted to Asmodeus's character as soon as he was introduced. I give this book 5 full moons and highly recommend it to readers of the paranormal romance genre.
Note: The second part of the Asmodeus: The Demon of Lust is now available at Amazon, B&N, and Kobo. (less)

Tall, Dark, and Vampire has now become my favorite book from Sara Humphreys (of course...knowing Sara, I will end up loving the next book even more...I have a hard time deciding since her books always manage to capture my interest the minute I read the first page). This debut book into her new series, Dead in the City, was speculator from beginning to end. I had already loved the character Olivia from Undone and I was intrigued to find out more about her in Tall, Dark, and Vampire and who she ended up with.
Olivia is my favorite lead female vampire in a while. She definitely is not to be messed with. She had a hard transition into the vampire life, but she was able to deal with it in the end. She ended up losing the love of her life, but life is about to change for her, when life throws her the one person, she has been missing.
Doug is a detective and he's trying to solve the killings that are happening in the city and when he meets the person of his dreams literally, he cannot get her out of his head.
I loved the passion and tension between Olivia and Doug. Doug did have his moments where I wanted to smack him, but in the end, he came around. He just had it rough after what happened to him, but once Olivia explained everything, it all came together. I loved how Sara threw in the twists and turns in the story. The killings that were going on and the rogue vampires, she definitely threw me off at the end on, who was actually doing everything. I was not expecting it at all. Sara Humphreys does an amazing job in the shapeshifter world with her Amoveo Legend novels and now her new series that branches out to her vampires are fierce, sexy, and dangerous. I definitely want more of her vampires after reading Tall, Dark, and Vampire. I give this book 5 full moons and highly recommend it to paranormal romance readers out there and readers who love reading vampire romances. One of the main reasons why I say this book has become a fave from Sara Humpreys is how I actually cried at the end. Seriously, was not expecting that ending and I'm so glad it happened. Olivia and Doug needed that ending. Everything they went through...that had to be the BEST ending ever.

Window is a very different kind of erotic romance story that I have never read before. This tale involves no touching or even talking, but instead has some very erotic moments in front of a window with a very sexy neighbor across the way. It definitely is a very steamy and hot read that will have you wondering if the two characters will ever meet. The
By day, she’s a day research assistant and by night, she’s stripping and teasing for the neighbor across from her. She has no idea who he is, and what he does for a living, but she is all for making impression with him. In fact, she even comes out to say, she is usually introvert, staying in reading romance novels, but she’s being very bold and brave with the sexy man across the way. She moved to Paris to make her mark and she definitely is at her day job. She gets to explore the beautiful city of Paris and eat all the wonderful food there and Michelle Renae did a fabulous job of describing everything and making me want to travel back to Europe again. How I miss the food overseas and the shopping. *sigh*
Michele Renae gives you a story of a female character trying to do something different and not rush into things, but to enjoy life to the fullest. She wants to guess about the male across the street and just have fun. We get just the female point of view, and not the male’s, but that makes it even more interesting. He definitely cares for her, especially during one scene, where she has all kinds of thoughts going through her head due to jealousy.
I look forward to reading what happens next in the tale of the two window seducers and hopefully, they will eventually get to meet or at least talk to each other. I hope the female character is open up more to finally meet him and not be scared about it.
I give this book 4 full moons and recommend it to readers out there looking for a different kind of erotica story that involves just looking and not touching. There are just windows to separate them and space between the buildings. I will say this, they do change it up and keep it spicy. =)

She creates characters that I feel for and love automatically because of their struggles and strengths. She manages to put characters together that help each other in some way. In It’s Always Been You, we have two characters who should hate each other. One trying to do her job as a lawyer and the other trying to mess up his job being in charge of a company that he didn’t want to be in charge of. Captain Ben Teague is the one who wants to avoid being in charge. He’s forced to and now a past colleague is charged with something that can’t possibly be true. He never thought someone who saved his life would end up doing something that is unforgivable and hurtful. Here comes Major Olivia Hale is in charge of getting the soldiers that don’t deserve to be in the Army put out for good. Ben’s colleague is one that is on Olivia’s radar and she can’t fathom why Ben would side with what his colleague did. Especially, when Olivia has her own demons of her past creeping up, making her want to pursue putting Ben’s colleague in jail and worst out of the Army. Of course Jessica does an amazing job on making these two characters feel for each other. She doesn’t make it easy for either one of them though. I think they fought more than anything, but in the end they complimented each other. They needed each other, they were just stubborn to talk about past problems to each other. It seemed to be not trusting thing between both of them. I had a hard time putting down my Kindle while reading this book, but struggled during certain parts of the book because believe me certain issues were definitely bothersome. I won’t go into detail on what the colleague did, but let’s just say it’s something that would bother a Mom like me. I’m very protected of my family and for me this was a touchy subject, but Jessica did make it come to light what was happening in the end. It made me cry even more for the individual. I of course felt more for the victim too. All the person wanted was someone to step in and help, but not hurt the individual. I give this book 4.5 moons and recommend it to readers out there that enjoy reading contemporary romance. If you enjoy military reads this is the book for you too. Because of Jessica Scott I need to read military contemporary romance right now. I’m way too addicted thanks to her Coming Home series. Forever is my first book by Mary Wasowki and I love being able to find new-to-me authors through blog tours. I was intrigued by Forever due the synopsis of the book and since it’s New Adult, I needed to feed my addiction to the genre.
Forever is about Reese Mitchell and Walker Reed and how they end up falling in love with each other. The poor girl Reese has a rough life. Her parents are no longer with her and she’s had some very extreme circumstances happen to her that made her uncomfortable. She has her grandparents and her friend Freddy, but the minute she meets Walker, her whole life takes a 360. She’s immediately drawn to the sexy stranger that has grown up privileged and already has a career passed down to him thanks to his father. She is going to realize though that Walker has one of the family members in his family that is not taking it kindly that she is with Walker. Now her love with Walker will be tested in Forever and if their relationship will be able to stay together forever.
There were definitely twists and turns in Forever for the characters. There were times that Reese drove me crazy especially at the beginning of the story. I was a little weary on how she fell for Walker so fast, and then at the end what happened to her. The poor girl deserved some happiness though and she never had it easy. Her life would be great one moment and the next moment she was being knocked down. I felt bad for her. Walker on the hand, he was infatuated with Reese throughout the book. He fell for Reese just as fast as she did, but he did have a jealously side. He really ticked me off towards the end of the book though. He did a 360 in character after an incident and he gave up, but he still had feelings. It was confusing at times because I thought he was acting more like a girl than Reese was with his feelings.
The reasoning behind 3.5 stars is due the fact I’m in a Creative Writing class and it makes me over-think things when I read now. The beginning of the book went by so fast, I had to re-read some parts to make sure I read it correctly, and it seemed to slow down a bit in the middle once Mary switches from Reese’s POV to Walker’s POV. (For example, Reese meets Freddy so quickly than all of a sudden she’s meeting Walker the same way). It sped up again at the time, but it wasn’t as bad as the beginning. I really enjoyed the different POV’s, but was confused when Walker’s Dad came in the mix. I did like the idea of his POV in the story because of what was happening just needed a warning ahead of time. Mary did great building up the angst once the truth came out with Walker’s Dad and what was happening. I was in shock on what was really happening.
I do recommend this book to New Adult readers out there and I look forward to reading the next book in the series. I need to find out what is going to happen between Walker and Reese. Mary left me hanging on what is going on with Reese and of course what is going to happen to Walker after what he went through. He went through a big emotional turn at the end. Yup…I will admit tears were falling at the end.
Be ready for an emotional roller coaster in Forever and be ready for twists and turns you weren’t expecting to happen. It’s New Adult…so you definitely may feel the need to cuss the characters out. At least that is what I did to Walker at times. =)

Sara Humphreys is one Author who I adore very much. She knows how to write a great shifter story that sinks me in from the beginning. When I found out she was writing a short novella for her Amoveo Legend Series, I think I squealed like my daughter does when it's Christmas morning. A short novella that captures my heart until "Untamed" releases...sign me up to buy. Actually...for everyone who is a fan of Sara Humphreys, or are readers out there that are thinking about reading Sara's books, Undenied when it releases October 2nd, will be FREE. =)
This short novella, which is only 43 pages long as per my iPad....can be read within a hour or less (of course without interruptions, which I made sure nothing interrupted me...That included two girls and one hubby, who were sleeping when I read Undenied.)
"Undenied" is about Boris Zankoff and how his mate comes into his life unexpectedly. He has been dreaming about her for awhile now and he knows she's fully human. Of course with the dilemma going on with certain shapeshifters wanting only pure bred shapeshifters matching only with full blooded shapeshifters, Boris has a problem on his hands. He must protect his mate no matter what. Boris never though, his mate, Lillian would show up on at his business's doorstep one day, asking for his help...it was a dream come true for him and of course for Lilian as well, since she has been a gypsy for the longest time and has never really had a family to love her.
I'm happy that Boris finally gets his happily ever after in this short novella because of what happened in the last book, Untouched. I definitely clicked with Lilian. The poor girl had gone through so much and she just wanted to find her place in the world and her family did not seem to agree on what she wanted to do with her life. Boris and Lilian are a definitely perfect match and I hope we get a little taste of them more in future books.
This short novella will give you a small taste of the Amoveo Legend books and Sara definitely delivers another book that had me entranced from the beginning. I'm looking forward to her next book, Untamed that comes out next month. =) If you want a quick, sexy read definitely get a copy of Undenied. =)(less)

Melinda describes into great detail what the characters are going through, and she makes their situations intense and extremely nerve-wracking. One of the main reasons why I will leave the light on and snuggle with the husband while reading Melinda's books. In every book in the series, I have yet to figure out who exactly the bad guy is until Melinda reveals who it is at the end. She's one writer that can keep me guessing and still leave me in shock no matter what. Every time I think I figured out who was behind everything in She Can Hide, Melinda surprises me with a twist and leaves me going back into the book looking for any clues. I should have figured out who was exactly behind everything, but Melinda does an amazing job on keeping her plot twist hidden. I love this about her writing style. We have two characters that come together in She Can Hide unexpectedly. Ethan ends up finding a car submerged in an icy lake, and coming across Abby who is fighting for her life due to the car going into the water. Abby has no clue what happened though, and she doesn't know if she should trust Ethan. Ethan though is determined to find out what happened to Abby, and why she would forget such a big accident like the one she was in. Abby has been hiding from certain people and has had a past that still affects her life. She doesn't want to really open up to Ethan until something else happens that makes things come to light. Melinda gives us these two characters who end up helping each other in different ways. Ethan was such a sweetie in the story and I adored how he was determined to get Abby to open up. Abby was secretive for a reason in the story and I didn't blame her for not trusting anyone. Everything she went through in the past and present in the book will make any reader feel for her. We even have secondary characters in the story that end up going through their own issues that pertain to the main characters. I loved how Melinda weaved them all together and in the end had it all come together. I enjoyed every bit of She Can Hide even when it had my adrenaline going and heart pumping trying to figure out what was going on. I give this book 5 full moons and highly recommend it to romantic suspense readers out there. If you enjoy a book that keeps you guessing this is the book for you. Be prepared for some very hair-raising situations though. You could read this book as a standalone, but for me, I would recommend reading the other books first. Oh…and may I just say, I LOVED that Melinda wrote Zeus in the story. Zeus is Abby's dog and he's a mastiff. He plays a very important role in the story, well to me he did. I loved him the most out of the story and not only because I have a mastiff myself, but because Melinda detailed mastiffs personalities very well. Zeus reminded me of my handsome mastiff, Rambo and how he is very protective of his owner. Don't ever mess with his Mama. =) I received a complimentary copy of the book from the Author in exchange for an honest review.(less)

I'm beginning to wonder if Gabrielle Bisset loves to make people cry...because this book definitely was a tear jerker. Oh boy...was the water works happening when I was reading this book. Terek, is one of the Sons of Navarus, and he is one vampire who definitely takes his siring very seriously. He has sired over thousands of new vampires. Some of the vampires live under one of his households that he frequently visits. One night, he comes across another vampire biting a human and then he witnesses the vampire being staked by a hunter. The girl who was bitten is left for dead and it is up to Terek to save her, so he takes her back and sires her instead. She is not a typical woman though. Ilona, was just leaving from a party when she ends up getting herself into a dilemma. Now, she's a vampire and is forced to feed from Terek. She does not want to cooperate at all. She's not taking to the whole entire vampire thing all too well. She just wants to die. Terek of course, has never given up on any of his vampires he has sired and he will not give up on her. He has his other female vampires who are helping him with her while he helps out with the other Sons of Navarus. The Archon, who are hunting the Sons of Navarus are now going after vampires they think are the Sons of Navarus and they also are attacking the vampires the brothers have sired. It's up to the Sons of Navarus to find out what the prophecy really means for the Order (no spoiler...sorry...not giving away anything...If you want to find out more, you need to read this book).
Let me just say this, between Vasilije and what he had to ordeal in this book (the first Son of Navarus in "Blood Avenged") and Terek and what he had to go through with his vampires. I had a hard time not crying. I felt my heart hurt for both Vasilije and Terek. And don't get me started what Vasilije put Sasa through. Grrrrr!!! Can I just say...I love Thane in this book and how he stepped up to do what he did. He had every right to help out a friend in need. My favorite parts in the book were when I learned more about the background of Terek. Seriously, he is not a vampire to mess with. That man can kill you in an instant. Do not mess with his family! He has gone through so much, I do not know how he handled it so well. He did finally have Ilona to help him through some of it. She is definitely perfect for him. Ilona was a little difficult at first, until she finally gave in to Terek. (Ummm...who can resist him though?...I wouldn't be able to)
Gabrielle does an amazing job on putting a reader through so many emotions at once. She definitely is one amazing writer and she definitely has a fan for life. I look forward to reading the rest of the Sons Navarus books. I'm telling you now, if you haven't read these books, you really need to. If you're a fan of paranormal erotic romance, and love vampires, you will love these books. Do not forget the tissues though because you will be crying especially in this book. I give Terek's book 5 moons...and he definitely gets a little piece of my heart, but Saint has my full heart still...until maybe Thane or Dante's book. (Those two...I need to know more about) =) (less)

I was a little skeptical reading this book at first because I thought it would not capture my attention....but now I'm looking forward to the second book. That should tell you, that I really enjoyed this book. It's much different from any other paranormal romance book out there. Noel has just been dumped by her boyfriend, and now she's taking it pretty badly. Let's just say she lost her job over the break up because she did not show up to work. Now Noel is having dreams of a boy that is invading her dreams. She knows something is different about him. The boy is now telling her that he should have never involved her because now she's being hunted down by a unknown world she had no idea existed. (witches, vampires, etc....) And she's one of them...but she's different and she's about to find out what she is from the boy in her dreams and from close friends who have been keeping an eye on her. Noel is now on the run with other supernaturals just like her...one being her best friend and another being her dream boy's partner who has an interest in Noel. What is a girl to do with two boys? My thoughts on "Dreamwalker" was that it was a very interesting book to read. Like I stated before, I was skeptical at first...until it got really steamy in certain parts and I understood the storyline a little more. Just a warning: There's a love triangle in "Dreamwalker". Sometimes I always lean towards one boy...but this book, I had a hard time choosing because I love them both. The only thing that bothered me was Noel. It really was just the beginning that I did not like her character, but that's because she ran into hiding once she was dumped by her boyfriend. Towards the end of the book though, she was one strong-willed character who kicked butt. I will not spoil the book and what it is about...because I will give too much away. There were times that the book was slow a bit...but than it picked up and surprised me. I love Andrea Heltsley's writing style because it is WAY different from others. She takes you into another world of paranormal. Now that I've had the chance to read this book from Andrea, I plan on reading her other book "Dissolve" when I get some free time this summer. Recommended to anyone who is a fan of a different style of paranormal romance. (less)

Hard as You Can is the second installment to the Hark Ink series by Laura Kaye, and it definitely had the suspense and twists from the first book…but add on way more.
First off, I highly recommend reading Hard as it Gets first before diving into Hard as You Can. You will never know what happened in the first book if you try to read the second book first. (Believe me you will want to know about Nick) =) Laura Kaye picks up the dilemma of the first book in Hard as You Can, but with different characters playing the major part in the book. We are introduced to Shane and Crystal in this book and they definitely were meant to meet each other at the right time.
What can I say about the characters before going into what I loved most about the book. I was not really fond of Crystal due to her staying with a guy that continuously hurt her physically. She kept coming up saying why she needed to stay with him, and then she had her sister who had no clue what was going on. Crystal finally won me over a bit when she was there to help her sister and then at the end of the book. She finally realized what she needed to do to get away.
The minute Shane is introduced, he’s actually in disguise, but he had already won my heart. He’s the gentleman of the bunch who doesn’t handle well with women and children getting hurt. He has a past he’s trying to get over on what happened with his little sister, so he’s got a soft side. He also is scary to mess with when it comes to loved ones getting hurt. I loved how he was there constantly for Crystal, even when she gave him such a hard time. He was definitely persistent…and he definitely had ways of charming a girl. =)
I loved the suspense of Hard as You Can and how Laura Kaye answered some questions from this book, but of course opened up new ones. She gripped in from the first page due to what as happening to the characters. She’s continuing with what happened to Becca and her brother from the first book into this one. There’s some closure in this book, but Hard as You Can just makes you want more of the Hard Ink guys.
I give this book 4 full moons and recommend it to romantic suspense readers out there, and readers that enjoy sexy ex-military members who are out for vengeance.

I always find at least one YA book a year that keeps me entranced...and this was definitely one of them. I would have finished the book in one day, but having a teething baby girl who only wanted her Mama...well let's just say reading went on hold. Persephone or aka Kora because she rather go by her middle name, has been hearing someone call her name in the wind. She also has been having some mysterious things happen to her. She had her car almost blown around and a guy who came into her Mom's store who tried everything to grab her. He kept talking nonsense to Persephone when he was trying to grab her. Until...her Mom finally lets her know what she really is. She's a Goddess and her father happens to be none other than Zeus himself. Her best friend is also her priestess. There is only so much a girl can take, so Persephone runs away for awhile to collect her thoughts, instead...something is happening around her. The weather is turning chilly and the ground is turning to ice. A mysterious man walks into her life and saves her before something can really happen to her. The man...turns out to be Hades who is the God of the Underworld. He marks her as his bride to save her from whoever is trying to harm her. It is up to Hades and his minions to keep Persephone safe...but in the mean time Persephone is starting to feel towards Hades and Hades is keeping something from her. Can she really trust him? What are my thoughts on "Persephone" by Kaitlin Bevis...well...I had a hard time putting it down. A book where there is mythology, fantasy, and mystery. I have a weakness for the Gods and Goddesses. Loved studying them in school...and I hope I get a chance to go back to studying them in college. I loved Kaitlin's writing style and how she brought the Gods and Goddesses into the modern day. The story between Hades and Persephone is definitely a different take on what you are told as a kid, which is another reason why I loved reading this book. I actually adored Hades in this book. I loved how strong the character Persephone was when she was in underworld and how she helped out her friend at the end. I was surprised to find out who was helping the bad guy though. I was in shock when I learned it was a person that Persephone had grown to trust. I'm really looking forward to the next book now. =) I can't wait to find out what happens next. I recommend this book to YA readers out there and readers who have a fascination with mythology. This book will have you wanting more after you finish the last page (or in my case...my Ipad).(less)

I was in the Navy for over 10 years and got to sail the seas a lot while I was in, but I have never been on a luxury cruise liner. Don't even think the Navy ships compare to Carnival or Disney Lines...because they definitely don't. =) How I wish I could enjoy a Carnival Cruise. Maybe someday, but for now, I'm going to stay on land since I did too much sea time in the Navy and also after reading "Shore Excursion", I definitely don't want to be apart of a Murder Mystery or even a ship tipping over to it's side (which recently just happened). Eek! I love mysteries every once in awhile and after reading the book summary for "Shore Excursion", I knew I had to read it. We're introduced to Sidney Marsh in this book who is a Travel Agent, which in today's world you don't hear much about anymore. Her job in this book is to be a Tour Leader for the High Steppers which are a lively bunch of senior citizens. Poor Sidney Marsh didn't sign up for a few murder mysteries on board her tour though. She takes it upon herself to try to solve the mysteries on board the ship, but unfortunately she either has a lot of people telling her not to get involved, or she is getting caught up in dangers herself. It's a win lose situation for her, but someone has to help her "High Steppers". Marie Moore takes you on some crazy turns and twists through this book. You will never expect really who the murderer is until the light bulb clicks on in your head at the end which is what happened to me. Marie Moore created some fascinating characters in this book and I have no idea how she kept up with them all, but I adored every one of them. I even felt terrible with the characters that were killed. The whole time I was rooting for Sidney to solve the mystery so we could have some closure. I look forward to reading the next Sidney Marsh mystery from Marie Moore. If you love mysteries and want to take a ride on a cruise ship (not literally of course) to solve a murder mystery or two, then you definitely need to read this book. (less)

I was going to wait to type up my review until my partner in crime read "Lethal Rider", but the anticipation of my review has been haunting me. =) I type haunting because I've been dreaming about this book ever since I read it. I came across Larissa Ione's Demonica books one day a couple years ago at Barnes & Noble. I skimmed through the books descriptions, and then proceeded to grab them up. I read them ALL pretty quickly, that I was craving more of her writing after I was done. I was excited when she announced a new series...Lords of Deliverance. Lethal Rider is the third book in the series. Larissa never disappoints with her books at all. She keeps me enthralled from the first chapter to the last chapter. Once I'm at the last chapter though, I want more. "Lethal Rider" is finally about Thanatos aka Death, the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He has been stuck in a paralyzed state since the end of last book "Immortal Rider". His brother and sister had to immobilize him otherwise he would've slaughtered every one and anyone had his sister's Wedding. He was used by Regan Cooper who is part of the Aegis organization. The organization wanted her to seduce Thanatos and become pregnant with his child. They were told the child would save the apocalypse from happening. Thanatos had been celibate for thousands of years thinking his celibacy was the key to him not turning evil like his brother Reseph, aka Pestilence. Needless to day, he was on a war path after he realized what Regan did to him. When Thanatos is finally able to get out of his paralyzed state, he tracks down Regan for revenge. Unfortunately, others have been tracking her down to kill her. When Thanatos gets a hold of her finally, he is upset that no one bothered to tell him she is pregnant. I could go on and on about this book, but I do not want to spoil the book to anyone who hasn't read it like my partner in crime. "Lethal Rider" had a lot of other parts in the book that left you hanging and it will pick up next in Reseph's book. My thoughts on "Lethal Rider" was I really enjoyed reading Thanatos book finally. He has fascinated me since the first book "Eternal Rider". He can go from joking with you one second to turning into a dark, dangerous immortal next. Let's just say, if you piss him off, you better start running...but you most likely won't make it because he'll find you. Anyone who is in his way when he turns into "Death" will be killed because he can't control himself. Regan was a little annoying at times, but it's to be expected. She is pregnant...and being pregnant can make you very hormonal. VERY hormonal! She did have some very strong qualities in her that I adored. She didn't like being told she couldn't do certain things. She's one tough woman and she'll stand up to any man to prove she can do what they do. Thanatos and Regan were perfect for each other becauseThanatos needed Regan, she helped balance him out. She could control him to be calm. You'll find out in this book Regan has special powers and Larissa will tell you how Regan's powers came to be. I loved how everything came together and who ended up being the BAD guy at the end. Wow! Let's just say the horsemen were surprised too. No, Reseph is not the only bad guy. =) In "Lethal Rider", the angels played a significant role into the storyline. I recommend this book to paranormal romance readers, fans of the four horseman of the apocalypse, and of course diehard fans of Larissa Ione. You'll have a hard time putting down this book and the first two books. If your a Reseph fan like I am...you'll get a sneak peek into his book "Rogue Rider" which can't come fast enough. (less)

The story of it sucked me in from beginning to end. It also even had me dreaming about it. When I got up at 3 am to take care of my baby girl, I had to finish the book before I even decided to fall back asleep. It was my mission to find out what would happen between Hope and Slade. Hope is a girl who has to give up everything in Georgia to go to California with her father and brothers after her Dad and Mom split up. She is thrown into a world of rich snobby people who she doesn't fit in with, until she meets the mysterious tattooed Slade, who helps her out of a dilemma. She is fascinated with him and wants to find out what he is exactly. Hope is forced into several situations where she has to find out who to trust. Should she trust Slade or Tucker, the boy who everyone adores, but something is wrong with his family. My first thoughts on Slade was he was dreamy and mysterious and I wanted to know more about him. This guy who could manipulate the Ink on Hope's arms. He definitely caught my heart and I definitely wanted Hope with him instead of Tucker. Once I did find out what he was, I was in Awe. I definitely wasn't expecting that and I can say, it definitely made the story more amazing. I knew from the beginning there was something wrong with Tucker, but I couldn't put my finger on it. He was too good to be true. Once I got to the ending, I was surprised with his actions and his Dad's. Wow...definitely wasn't expecting that. My favorite parts in the book was the Ocean Scene between Hope and Slade, which was a very steamy scene and that wasn't the only one between them. I also enjoyed when Karsen came into town. She was Hope's bestfriend. The girl made it even more interesting and she had a way of getting Hope out of her shell even more. I felt terrible for Hope in certain parts of the book...the poor girl went through hell to be with Slade. She didn't get any help from anyone most of the time, so she had to figure it out for herself. All I can say about this book is it's become one of my favorites and is definitely worth a read-again in the near future. I can't get enough of Slade. =) Holly Hood captures the love between two teens perfectly. She also writes about the ups and downs of a relationship that a teen may endure when trust is a issue. She also writes what happens when parents get involved. You'll just have to read the book to find out about what Hope's Dad did. I definitely recommend this book for anyone who wants to read about magic, steamy scenes, and amazing characters. I look forward to reading more books from Holly Hood in the near future and I really hope "Ink" becomes a movie one day...I definitely would buy tickets for the midnight premiere and would watch the movie over and over again.

Until November is the debut novel in Aurora Rose Reynolds Until Series and it definitely is one heart-wrenching story full of tension and lots of steamy romance. One character, November, who is running from her past and what happened to her New York to make a new life with her father and help with with his books at his strip club. Her old life is trying to come back and hurt her again and someone is stalking her and trying to harm her again. She ends up meeting Asher Mayson at her father’s job. He mistakes her from being one of the strippers and gets to put in his place. Asher falls for November the minute he sees her next to her father and wants to get to know her. He is starting to think the Mayson curse is true and how the men in the family fall for the one person they are meant to be hard. He is determined to win her over, but he is the biggest alpha male ever and November is not used to it.
Two characters, who were meant to meet and they will be forced into circumstances that will will put them to the test. November is trying to not have what happened to her affect what she has with Asher and Asher is trying to keep November safe.
Aurora definitely gives us a very strong male character, who gives off the very strong alpha male type that will make some readers cringe or others fall for him head over heels. I was one that cringed at first, but then he grew on me. I could tell how much he worshipped November, but it took me awhile to grow on me because he did tend to me way OVER-alpha.
November definitely has so much going on, I do not know how she could deal with it all. She has people to support her though, which makes her seem to grow even further as a character and stay strong.
The ending and the truth of what happened to her left me even in shock. Poor November, she definitely was not expecting what happened to happen to her and from someone, who is supposed to be family.
The book did tend to move fast at certain points and left me a little confused, but it did keep my interest. I think it is because I was sucked into the story of November and Asher’s love for her.
I give this book 4 full moons and recommend it to New Adult readers out there. This has become one of my new fave genres and I definitely cannot wait to read the second book in this series. More of Mayson brothers…falling in love. =)

Welcome to a world of Half-breed Angels that go after their sires and also are assigned to assassinate any one who dares to not abide the laws of Heaven and the Directorate. They are apart of the Eternal Order and they are not to be messed with. Jarrid is one of nephilims who has a new mission. He is actually keeping a part of the mission quiet form the Directorate because this mission may help get him to Ascension and his brothers. He has to track down a woman news reporter and use her as bait to get the Renegade that the Directorate wants found. He has no idea why the Renegade wants the woman, but he will do anything to get his next assignment out of hiding. Ionie Gifford is just trying to get her next story and when an Angel or half-Angel ends up in her boss's office, she sees the most interesting story ever. What she does not realize is that Jarrid has other plans for her, but those plans go haywire when he realizes he is falling for her and she is for him. Things are about to get even more complicated when the truth comes out on why the Renegade wants Ionie. It is going to surprise the Eternal Order and even the Directorate, but Jarrid is going to find out it is harder to follow orders when your heart has changed course.
Be prepared to read a action-packed debut novel from Author Tricia Skinner. She takes you into a world of chaos where Angels, Warrior Nephilims, Vampires, and Shifters are all over Detroit. The Angels cannot stand the abominations called Nephilims, but they will deal with them because they take care of the Renegades who do not follow the laws of Heaven. Then you have the Eternal Order who defy sometimes what the Angels say. In between the Angel chaos, is the vampires who make friends with the Renegades and you also have shifters that vampires cannot stand. It's one paranormal world you do not want to mess with really, otherwise you get caught in the crossfire. Jarrid is one "brooding" warrior...you will understand the brooding part if you read the book, who definitely is scary and overbearing at times, but he has his reasons. Ionie is a determined, strong-willed and feisty character who is thrown into this chaotic world, but she ends up handling better than some of the other characters do. I loved the connection between Jarrid and Ionie and they definitely were destined to be with each other. Although, Jarrid took awhile to open up to his feelings, but you would be too, if you had no clue how to handle a woman since you had never been one. Ionie was a little annoying at times, but she got better towards the end. I loved the flow of the writing and how everything built up at the end. I look forward to reading more about the other brothers in the Eternal Order, especially Cain. =) Tricia Skinner did an amazing job on the first book to her Angel Assassin series and I definitely will be patiently waiting on the next book since the Eternal Order has an assignment that needs to be done for the Directorate. If you are a fan of the urban fantasy romance genre, this is a book you need to add to your TBR list or even read right away. Here's hoping we do not wait too long on the next book. I want some more of these sexy nephilim brothers. (less)

"Enslaved in Shadows" is Tigris Eden's debut novel...and it's definitely an AMAZING debut novel to her series Shadow Unit. I had a hard time putting it down. Let's just say the first few chapters was a sexy, scorcher read. Wow! Jesminda has never done anything out of character until she's on vacation and ends up coming across one sexy man who drives her wild. Draven is actually on an assignment while Jesminda is on vacation. He never expected a woman to peek his interest like Jesminda does. In fact, he shouldn't be interested with her since she's human and he's not. The book then picks up five years later and Jesminda and Draven end up running into each other again, but this time Draven, who is apart of the Shadow Unit must protect Jesminda from her ex-husband and his company. I could go into detail more about this book, but I will end up spoiling the book for someone who wants to read it. There was so much going on in the book and the ending was a doozy. If you like happily ever afters.....well...let's just say Tigris Eden throws you off at the ending. Sorry...not spoiling it for you. I loved the characters in this book. I'm actually in love with Royce. Oh yes...he's very mysterious and just a smart ass and the way he's described, doesn't help either. He also has a twin brother...but he seems to be a little too mysterious for me. One part of the book grossed me out with him. I love Tigris Eden's writing style and how different it is. I love the story she created for "Enslaved in Shadows" and I definitely loved the cliffhanger. I love Draven...oh...how I love Draven. *sigh* I also like Jesminda and how she was put through hell, but was able to stand up against certain people in the book. Although, I did find myself re-reading parts of the book because I did not understand what was going on because it would go by pretty quickly. This definitely is a great start to a series. I definitely plan on reading the next book. I want to know what the hell is going to happen next since that cliffhanger pissed me off. (but in a good way) I recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance, loves characters that can have you laughing, and for readers who always love a good cliffhanger. (less)

Ahhh...I have to wait until I have no idea when for the next Season of these three books because of course their were cliffhangers to each one.
It definitely has picked up from the last two episodes and this one was all about Juliet and Mike making their dream come true and finally having Mike's Mom come around. It took Juliet standing up to Elaine and even Juliet's Mom putting Elaine in her place to finally have Elaine shut the heck up. The only thing that was unbelievable to me was having a Wedding come around in less than 7 days. In my opinion there was not much of a cliffhanger at the ending, but I found it unbelievable for Elaine to accept Mike and Juliet's marriage just right away. I have a feeling she is up to no good. Riley's book is more of a contemporary romance that has a lot of family issues and some really steamy scenes. I definitely want to find out what she does next with the characters. Juliet is one kick-butt female and it seems she gets her feistiness from her mother. =)
Ty Langston, you left me hanging at the end. I think I actually was in shock after I read the last page because I needed more. It was about time that Cass finally admitted to himself that Harper was different and he wanted to pursue her. I did get annoyed with Julienne though. GRRR!! Get a clue, you evil woman...he has moved on. So much happened in this episode with Crave and I know even more needs to happen. I was not prepared for that ending though. Ty definitely threw me off. And can I just say...Cass...you can come into my dreams any night. *sigh*
The Genesis Project
This was the biggest shock of a episode for "The Genesis Project". I definitely was upset after I read the last page on this book. Grrr!!! It was just getting great and interesting and I even got more Xander and this time Xander showed another side of him that I adored...and here's the biggest shocker, which was at the end with Adam. Really? Now I can't choose between Xander or Adam. Is Xander up to no good and how can Adam just sit there and realize the truth and let it all happen? Tigris, you definitely had me on the edge of my seat with "The Genesis Project" and I will patiently wait to see what you do next. Note...the word patiently.
If you enjoy short contemporary romantic stories, you definitely need to read Romantic Tales: Bedtime Stories. You'll get a taste of different writing styles from each authors and also become obsessed with wanting to find out what happens next in each book. I know I am glad I was able to read these back to back...otherwise I would've gone insane.

Loves reading books from New Authors that I have never read books from. I came across Rachael Wade on Creative Reviews on Goodreads. Goodreads is one of my FAVE sites that I'm always on. I'm addicted to finding new books and new authors and I'm glad I came across Rachael Wade and her book "Amaranth". I had a hard time putting down "Amaranth". I was determined to finish the book before the new year got here. Being a Mom of two girls...that goal can sometimes be challenging, but after a night of staying up late and dealing with grogginess the next morning...I finished "Amaranth". =) What are some things I enjoyed about this book...the storyline that Rachael writes, the characters, the emotional ride she takes you on, and the ending. A brief description of the book: Poor Camille just wants to get away from her old life. Seems the girl can't catch a break from the bad guys she keeps hooking up with until she meets Gavin in Paris when she's visiting. She never thought though, she would meet him again while she was at work in Louisiana and attending college...but she did. The handsome stranger, Gavin comes into her life and changes her view of what guys should be. She's used to being used and abused by guys...but Gavin teaches her the guys should treat her with respect and love her. What she doesn't know is Gavin has a dark secret and can she handle it if he tells her? Rachael Wade definitely tells you a different side of the Vampires. Not only do they suck blood...but they suck energies, desires, etc. She doesn't copy from other authors about Vampires. She creates her own world and brings back what Vampires are really. I just have to remind everyone that Vampires are not meant to Sparkle and their lethal creatures, just like Rachael writes about in "Amaranth". In fact I was scared for the characters when they went to face their Creator. You'll just have to read the book to find out. As far as the characters, I loved Camille and Gavin. They definitely were meant to meet each other. I loved how Rachael takes you through the emotional journey of Camille's life and even Gavin's. It makes you love them more and feel sorry for them. If you love reading a book that brings back what a TRUE Vampire is, you'll enjoy this book. You'll also enjoy the storyline to it. Just a warning, you may not like the cliffhanger at the end. I'm all for cliffhangers. That is what makes a GOOD Trilogy. A book that leaves you begging for more, makes you want to read the next one. I can't wait to read the next book because Rachael definitely leaves you hanging at that end of this book. I was not expecting that cliffhanger. Another good reason why I love Rachael's writing style. I love Authors that throw you off. =) Thank you again, Rachael for giving me the chance to read and review your book. =) (less)

This book touched my heart when I read it. This book is about Kerry and Dante this time. I got a taste of both of these characters from the first book “Unleashed”. Kerry is sexy model who isn’t the starving run-way model either. She’s the model with the womanly curves who everyone wants modeling for them. She has a condition though where she hates touching people because once she touches them, she feels pain and also sees images. She was adopted and she always felt distant from her adopted family. She always felt like something was wrong with her because they really did not want anything to do with her. Dante is a sexy Amoveo who is apart of the Fox clan. He’s had it rough since what happened in the last book. He knows there’s something different about Kerry and he knows also that she’s his mate after seeing her on the beach for the first time. He has to find away to tell her about him and also find out what she is exactly. Kerry is half human and half Amoveo just like her best friend, Samantha who is from the previous book. In the first book, Kerry was put into the dilemma between the Clans and she didn’t even realize it. In “Untouched”, Kerry is sent on a modeling job down in New Orleans and of course the sexy Dante goes with her as a bodyguard. While they are there, they find out the job has switched to a old house. For some reason, the old man there doesn’t want them inside of it. Also, while on her modeling job Kerry is being threaten by “The Punisher” which is Dante’s mission to find out who it is. He knows it has to do with something with Kerry being half Amveo., but he doesn’t know who to trust. Malcolm and Samantha end up helping out with it, but of course they end up in the crossfire again in this book. In between, the chaos of the modeling job and “the Punisher”, Dante and Kerry end up hooking up and the chemistry between them is perfect. They fit well together and there is no way Kerry can resist Dante and vice versa. In the end, when I found out who the killers were, I definitely wasn’t expecting it. I also wasn’t expecting the twist that Sara threw into the book about Kerry. Yes…Sara…you had me crying at the end. I felt so sorry for Kerry. At least Dante was there for her and she got some closure. This book will have you crying, turning the pages for more, and loving the characters. I recommend this book to anyone who loves Shifters and loves Paranormal Romance. Sara definitely has a fan for life and I look forward to the next book in the series this November, which to me is too far away at the moment. =) (less)

Terry Spear is one of the main reasons why I fell in love with the paranormal romance genre back in 2009 and her latest novel makes me realize how much I need a vacation of my own with my own Highlander. =)
Duncan MacNeill is off to Grand Cayman Island to find the thief who stole the clan's fortune. His brother Laird Ian MacNeill knows he can find the thief, get back their money, and put the thief to justice. Unfortunately, Duncan never expected to run into a lone female wolf who is about to capture his heart from the moment he spots her at the airport. Shelley Campbell is at the Grand Cayman Island to study the forests and hopefully make a discovery. The moment she spots Duncan though, she knows she's going to have a hard time getting anything done. She has her reasons for not hooking up with her own kind, especially one that is a Highlander, but Duncan is going to be too irresistible for her. Shelley and Duncan will join forces to find the thief since the thief is also wanted for other reasons. Both Shelley and Duncan will have to go through fighting their urge of being together, as well keeping each other safe from dangers ahead.
"A Howl for a Highlander" actually continues the story of the MacNeill family and what I learned in the "Heart of the Highland Wolf" book. (which by the way...I am still in love with Ian MacNeill...*sigh*) Duncan is definitely stubborn, but so is Shelley in this book. I actually liked Shelley more than Duncan. She did not want to sit back, she wanted to help Duncan...and of course Duncan threw in issues with why he did not want her help. Stubborn Male!! The sexual tension between them both and also the sex scenes...were off the charts. Let's just say they did a lot in the ocean together. =) I have always been fascinated on Terry Spear's writing style and how she keeps up with all the books she writes and I adored her even more when she brought in Ian MacNeill, as well as previous characters from the previous book. Did I already admit that I love Ian? =) The only downfall was I did not click with Duncan as much as I thought I would. Shelley stole the show in this book for me. Maybe it was because Duncan was not Ian. Maybe Cearnach MacNeill will steal my heart in his book. I know he kind of did when he showed up in this book. I look forward to the next novel in the Heart of the Wolf Series. I just cannot get enough of these books. They truly are addicting and worth reading over and over again. Terry Spear will always be a FAVE Author of mine and I do not care what my husband says...I prefer to buy the paperback version of this series instead of the ebook version. I must drool over the covers and touch the books personally. He can just deal with my books taking over the house. =) If you enjoy the paranormal romance genre and wolves...you will love this book as well as the others.(less)
