Welcome to a world of Half-breed Angels that go after their sires and also are assigned to assassinate any one who dares to not abide the laws of Heaven and the Directorate. They are apart of the Eternal Order and they are not to be messed with. Jarrid is one of nephilims who has a new mission. He is actually keeping a part of the mission quiet form the Directorate because this mission may help get him to Ascension and his brothers. He has to track down a woman news reporter and use her as bait to get the Renegade that the Directorate wants found. He has no idea why the Renegade wants the woman, but he will do anything to get his next assignment out of hiding. Ionie Gifford is just trying to get her next story and when an Angel or half-Angel ends up in her boss's office, she sees the most interesting story ever. What she does not realize is that Jarrid has other plans for her, but those plans go haywire when he realizes he is falling for her and she is for him. Things are about to get even more complicated when the truth comes out on why the Renegade wants Ionie. It is going to surprise the Eternal Order and even the Directorate, but Jarrid is going to find out it is harder to follow orders when your heart has changed course.
Be prepared to read a action-packed debut novel from Author Tricia Skinner. She takes you into a world of chaos where Angels, Warrior Nephilims, Vampires, and Shifters are all over Detroit. The Angels cannot stand the abominations called Nephilims, but they will deal with them because they take care of the Renegades who do not follow the laws of Heaven. Then you have the Eternal Order who defy sometimes what the Angels say. In between the Angel chaos, is the vampires who make friends with the Renegades and you also have shifters that vampires cannot stand. It's one paranormal world you do not want to mess with really, otherwise you get caught in the crossfire. Jarrid is one "brooding" warrior...you will understand the brooding part if you read the book, who definitely is scary and overbearing at times, but he has his reasons. Ionie is a determined, strong-willed and feisty character who is thrown into this chaotic world, but she ends up handling better than some of the other characters do. I loved the connection between Jarrid and Ionie and they definitely were destined to be with each other. Although, Jarrid took awhile to open up to his feelings, but you would be too, if you had no clue how to handle a woman since you had never been one. Ionie was a little annoying at times, but she got better towards the end. I loved the flow of the writing and how everything built up at the end. I look forward to reading more about the other brothers in the Eternal Order, especially Cain. =) Tricia Skinner did an amazing job on the first book to her Angel Assassin series and I definitely will be patiently waiting on the next book since the Eternal Order has an assignment that needs to be done for the Directorate. If you are a fan of the urban fantasy romance genre, this is a book you need to add to your TBR list or even read right away. Here's hoping we do not wait too long on the next book. I want some more of these sexy nephilim brothers. (less)

I was contacted by Keri Lake to participate in her blog tour of "Soul Avenged" and I definitely was intrigued with not just the cover of the book, but the book synopsis as well.
"Soul Avenged" gives you one one kick butt female character, Ayden, who is out to revenge what happened to her. She is apart of the elite force known as Alexi. They're main objective is to kill the Lycans that wreak havoc and kill humans. The Alexi were the ones that got bitten themselves, but they ended up having an antibody in their systems that made them not become Lycans. Ayden though has ran away from the Alexi and joined with Demons who she has a contract with. They are known as the Wrath Demons and they are well-known of getting vengeance since that's their main job. They have Ayden has a client and they will stop at nothing to find her attacker. Ayden though is about to question her job as a killer because she ends up taking hostage one of the things she hates, to find out the truth on halflings and why the human was attacked in the first place. She even questions on why she is starting to have memories that she has no idea where there from after touching Kane. In the mean time, she'll end up doing the unthinkable, that even the Demons are shocked with it. Kane Walker was just walking to his car from work one evening, when he was attacked by huge creatures. He never thought they existed, but now he is about to be apart of the paranormal world that media does not even know about. He has Demons that do not want him in their house and this crazy, psycho, sexy female who says he only has 7 days to live...but before that she'll torture him for what she wants out of him. There is a war brewing outside the demon house though and the truth will come out on what is happening with the Lycans and why they target certain people and why they want Kane dead. Even Ayden will have to come to terms with reality and what she became apart of.
First off, let me just say...this is my first book from Keri Lake and it definitely will not be my last. Keri Lake's writing style in "Soul Avenged" gripped me into the story from the minute I read page one. Think of the movie "Underworld", but ten times better. (Let me just say...I am a huge Underworld fan....but I believe "Soul Avenged" would blow away Underworld when it came to being adapted into a movie). You have one strong female lead who knows how to take care of herself. She had me scared of her at times because of her personality and I had to remind myself she's fictional. Kane had me in love with him the minute I was in his head. I had feelings for him before anyone else did. He was just as shocked as I was when I found out the truth what happened to him.
The Wrath Demons...at least some of them that really caught my attention or made me drool on my Kindle: Gavin (the big boss it seemed and who is love with Ayden, but she doesn't want anything to do with him permanently), Logan (scary, but loved Ayden as a sister), Zeke...(major issues that needs to be dealt with), Zayne (gone through a lot so I was sympathetic with him), and Calix...(who seems to be a lady's man (every lady wants him or can easily get them). All of them though...were drool-worthy. Gavin though...WOWZER!!! =) Ayden if you don't want him...I'll gladly take him. =)
I highly recommend this book to urban fantasy and paranormal romance genre readers out there. Be prepared to want more though once you are done reading. You'll anxiously be waiting like I am now for the second installment. Keri Lake's "Soul Avenged" is an action-packed, fast-paced, emotional roller-coaster that will have you begging for more. (less)

"Redemption" picks up from where "Revelation" left off and Erica Hayes gives us two characters who are disgraced due to what they did in their pasts and keep doing in their present.
Japheth, otherwise known as one of the Tainted is trying to redeem himself and by redeeming himself, he hopes to make it back in heaven. For him to do that, he must find himself a demon vampire that is wreaking havoc in Babylon and is known as the Angel Slayer. He also must do what the Archangel Michael wants as well, and the demon vampire can actually help him conquer that mission. Although, the demon vampire known as Rose Harley has other plans. She never wanted to be a vampire, but it is kind of hard when the Prince of the Vampires makes her be the way she is. She did the unthinkable when she turned and she has never forgiven herself. When she meets Japheth, she cannot help but try to keep her feelings at bay with him. He is much different than other heavenly warriors. Japheth is supposed to kill hellspawn like Rose, but he cannot. He uses her to help him find her master, but he also is trying to convince himself that she can be helped. In the meantime, the other Tainted are tackling another demon who has a vial and if they do not get it, they will have even more trouble on their hands.
This is a story of two characters who are trying to redeem themselves, but in different ways. They are trying to fight their feelings for each other, but it is kind of hard when they are so much alike. Erica Hayes gives you a world of warrior angels that are protecting Earth from the demons taking over. Although, their job is never easy, especially when some of the warriors believe their boss may be letting the demons run course without being taken care of fast enough.
I had such a better connection with Japheth and Rose in this story than the first characters in the first book. I felt more sympathy for Japheth because what he went through in "Revelation" and this story made me heart him more. He may have some bad qualities because he believed he did, but he redeemed himself in the best way in this book. He fought for what he wanted, even when he thought he was doing wrong. He did not want to give up on Rose. =) Rose was such a evil character at first, but when her story came out, she broke my heart. The poor girl had did the unthinkable and I believe she definitely needed to be redeemed. She even put Japheth in his place several times, which made me love her more. The only thing that kept me from giving this book even more moons, was that it started off slow, but when it started picking up, I was turning the pages to find out what happened next. Oh...the ending is the doozy...because I have no idea what to think about two characters now....Michael and now Gabriel, who plays a minor part in this book. I'm a little confused, but to me that is a good thing. The very ending had me in shock though. I had my mouth open in shock, literally. Erica I was definitely not expecting that at all. I definitely look forward to the next book even more. I must find out what happens next. =) I give this book 4 full moons and highly recommend it to urban fantasy and paranormal readers out there. "Redemption" is full of action, sexual tension, and darkness that will keep you turning the pages. Will the warriors win or will the demons takeover the Earth? "Caged" is the first book in the Caged series by Amber Lynn Natusch, and it definitely helped introduce the main character and her dilemma very well. Ruby has been through a lot. After losing her parents one horrible night, she's trying to adapt well on her own. That horrible night also helped her gain her eye sight. She was blind for so many years, that she never even knew what her parents looked like. She's been having moments where she blacks out when she panics or is stressed out after since that night her parents were killed...but she has no idea what happens during the time she blacks out. She ends up meeting up with Sean, who she thinks is stalking her because he is always there. She also meets, Erik, who she is fascinated with the minute she sees him. But...both guys have their own agendas on why they want Ruby. Ruby ends up choosing between the two and ends up choosing the wrong one....now she is stuck in a jam...but in the mean time, she finds out exactly what is happening during the black outs. At first though, she does not believe it. She has to see the aftermath of the black outs to really understand what she truly is and why certain kind of people want her. She also has to witness something that someone does in front her to believe that it is really true. My thoughts on the first book to the Caged series was that it was a very enjoyable read. I loved how the author introduced the characters in the beginning and what happened to Ruby in the beginning. I was lost a little at first, but then I was able to follow the story more once I understood what happened to Ruby thoroughly later on in the book. This is definitely a good book for the first to the series and it explains what Ruby actually is very well. The only thing that bothered me was the main character sometimes. I really did not click with her well. Maybe the way she always was getting frustrated and yelling at the other characters and maybe the way she talked period. ( I did like the fact that the way for her to relieve stress was to dance and that is definitely a great stress reliever ) One of my favorite parts were when Ruby, Sean, and Ruby's friend Ronnie were at a store (which is actually the excerpt in the guest post/giveaway post above). Ronnie played a short role, but she definitely put Ruby in her place. Sean was my favorite character in the story because of the way he was always there for Ruby. Even when I found out what he really was, I still loved him because I knew in the end, he really loved being around Ruby. Be prepared if you do read it, to have a lot of bad guys in the story. The ending was a doozy for me. I did not like that one chick that was introduced. I felt terrible for Ruby. (sorry won't give away..no spoilers here) I recommend this urban fantasy and paranormal romance readers out there who enjoys a book that keeps you guessing on what is going to happen next to the main character. (The poor girl went through so much...I do not know how she handled it so well. Although, she did have something that no other person had that helped her.) I plan on reading the 2nd book whenever I get the chance because I do want to find out if certain characters will hook up in the end. =) (less)

Let me get this off my chest first....I am in LOVE with KALE!! Oh my goodness...he is going on my HOTTIE List for Book Boyfriends this year and maybe for ALL time. Okay..enough of drooling over the sexy warlock....FOR NOW. =) Stacey Kennedy writes an amazing first book to her Witch's Brew series that will make you want more after you read it. You will fall in love with the characters. I know I did. You will even enjoy the humor, magic, action, and romance in this book. Seriously...I LOVE Stacey Kennedy and her books and The Cat's Meow is going on my TOP list of books from her...and believe me it is difficult to pick because every book I have read from her is FRIGGIN' amazing.
Libby is one female character, who can seriously kick butt with her crafty spells and amazing witty remarks that may sometimes get her in trouble, but of course every one cannot help but love her. She is very over-protective of her best friend, but she has her reasons and she does not trust WARLOCKS due her past. And they definitely are really good reasons why she should not trust them...until one sexy warlock is about to change her mind about them. Kale...the mystery warlock who supposedly is new to Charleston, but Libby has no idea why he is here and what he really is. All she knows, is this sexy Warlock is hard to get out of her head. He comes from wherever he came from to help her with a case that is leading to another bigger case. Both Libby and Kale must find out what is happening in Charleston and put a stop to the bigger dilemma soon. Of course Libby is about to find out the real motives behind where is Kale is and it may be for her benefit or it may make her hate warlocks even more.
Seriously..if you have not added this to our TBR list, you need to. If you are a Urban Fantasy addict like I am that enjoys this genre with a little bit of romance to it, you'll definitely enjoy "The Cat's Meow". Stacey Kennedy did a bang up job on "The Cat's Meow" and I am still in shock with the truth behind what was happening in Charleston and who was behind everything and also what happened at the ending. Oh...do not get me started with the truth of Kale. I think I fell in love even more with him.
I highly recommend "The Cat's Meow" and give it 5 Full Moons. I look forward to the next installment in this series and getting more of Libby and Kale....especially sexy, hottie, Kale. *sigh*
Thanks Stacey for giving me another fictional character to drool over and have fantasies of....shhh...do not tell hubby. =) He already thinks my list is too long.

I read this book in a couple of days because it had my attention from the beginning. I do not think I've ever read a book that was based on fairy tale characters, but told in a different way. Tess Little (who we would know as Little Red Riding Hood by the fairytales)...but in "Red", she is not the little red riding hood we all know. She actually goes by the nickname "Red" and she's an Enforcer for the Fairytale Management Authority. See the tales were sent over to the real world and they have to keep the "tales" in check from the humans. When there is a "tale" crime, Red is there to figure out what happened. Unfortunately, Red finds herself in a world of mess. She ends up having people she once loved, in the mince of the biggest crime ever. Someone is killing off tales and Red is stuck in the middle of it...because one of her ex-lovers may be the prime suspect. She is forced to find out which one did it...in the meant time, she also is trying to keep herself alive because someone is watching her. She is teamed up with Nate (otherwise known as Death) because he is a Reaper. He is perfect for the case and he does not mind teaming up with Red. Red has felt an attraction to Nate...but she is still not sure what it could be that attracts him to her. He is a pain in a butt...but he always shows up at the right time when she needs him. I really LOVED the characters, Red and Nate. Seriously...can I have Nate? He sounds really dark, dreamy, and sexy. =) Red was one kick butt character. I liked how she was not your little girl character. She was one chick you just did not want to mess with. This book brings you the fairy tales from the dark side, basically. Kate SeRine definitely kept me enthralled whenever a new fairytale character was introduced. You'll read about Snow White, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Juliet, the werewolf (from little red riding hood), the sandman, and so many others...but of course be prepared for not your regular stories because some of these characters have a dark side to them. Oh...and let me not forget the bad guys who are involved in the killings...let's just say I was surprised to find out who it was. =) I really enjoyed reading "Red" and look forward to the next book. I liked how Kate SeRine kept me clicking my Kindle to turn a page to read. She has a very interesting writing style and a wicked "cool" imagination. (taking my daughter's saying) =) I definitely recommend this book to urban fantasy and paranormal romance lovers out there. If you want the dark side of the fairy tale world...you definitely will enjoy this book. Can't wait to see what happens next! =) (less)

I read "Sapphire" by Jeffe Kennedy last year around this time frame and when she announced she was releasing another book this year, I had to read it. I was a little skeptical at first when I began reading it. At first I was not really interested in it and thought I would put it in my pile of "do not finish" books without reviewing, but I knew I had to keep reading it. In my mind, I knew I had to keep giving the book a chance. I'm definitely glad I did. The beginning had me lost a bit on what happened to the main character, Jennifer...but in the book she's called something completely different. She's been put into a world that she doesn't know anything about and she's been considered the dangerous sorceress. In fact, she should've been killed...but instead she's to endure some horrific days with some not so great fairies, who are making life pretty difficult. She is being forced to train herself in magic and continue on living in this new world that she considers Faerie. She has prices she has to pay along the way. One being humiliated and locked away and another being forced to fight a war that has no purpose. There's also the handsome, Rogue who wants her to do the unthinkable. This book definitely had twists and turns that I was not expecting and I was confused on what was going on until close to the middle and I finally got what was going on. The ending is what had me intrigued though and why Jennifer (otherwise known as Gwynn, per Rogue) was in Faerie in the first place. Let's just say it has something to do with dreams and someone who really needed her. Jeffe Kennedy does write some amazing love scenes, even if it's just flirting or somewhat flirting. I connected more with Rogue in this story, instead of Jennifer/Gwynn. I did eventually connect with Gwynn, when she finally decided to fight back. This may be not my favorite book from Jeffe, but I'm not going to stop reading her books. I want to know what happens next in the Covenant of Thorns. Plus...Rogue seems like one male character I need to learn more about. I only got a taste of him in this book. I recommend this book to anyone who loves the paranormal romance or urban fantasy genres. It is also for readers who adore fairies and different takes of them.(less)

The objective is to have someone else pick a book for you to read from their books they've read, but to make sure it's not already in your To-Be-Read list and to make sure you haven't read it before also.
Thanks again to the wonderful, Gems, for choosing this book for me to read. I would've never known about this book until you chose it for me...and I'm so glad you did.
From the first chapter to the last chapter, I was enthralled with it. I love a Paranormal book that has some action, love, and even humor to it. After reading the description from the back of the book...I knew I would have a hard time putting it down. Although, having two kids...one being a 2.5 month old...and having to do college homework online...I had to put down the book once in awhile. *sigh*
The character Sarah Dearly is absolutely fabulous. She's sassy and sarcastic. She's always getting herself into horrible situations, but she always manages to get out of it. Poor girl, just never gets a break in the book.
This is the first book I've read, that the lead Male character is a pain in the ASS. The minute you read about him, you either feel sorry for him or want to kick his butt. I feel sorry for him at first due to fact he has to deal with Sarah and her sarcastic ways. Poor guy! LOL
Michelle Rowen, doesn't make the vampires sparkle or have crazy abilities like other vampire books I've read. She makes them seem normal, except for drinking blood of course. (she does have the blood come in a Keg..kind of strange...but I love it). No wonder why the Vampire Hunters have their hands full on killing the Vampires. They really can't tell whose human and whose Vampire...except maybe when a Vamp shows "Fang."
I recommend this book to anyone who loves a little humor to their Vampire Romance. If you've read Linda Wisdom's books, you'll definitely enjoy Michelle Rowen. =) I'm definitely picking up the 2nd book from my Library soon. I must find out what happens next to Sarah and her crazy misfit friends.(less)

Ball through email to read and review her book, "Spirits Rising" which is the first book to the series "The Spirit Caller". I haven't read a book about Spirits before, so I jumped at the chance. I'm always looking for something new to read. It's not a normal Genre I read...but I really enjoyed the world that Krista D. Ball created in this book. Rachel Mills is the main character and she is able to interact with spirits. Unfortunately sometimes the interaction is not the greatest experience ever. She thought moving to a population of 20, she wouldn't have to deal with the supernatural world anymore....but nothing ever goes as planned, does it? She lives next to Mrs. Saunders who happens to be my favorite character in the book. She is quirky and funny and a down to earth 93 year old who I wouldn't mind living next to in real life because she would keep me entertained. The best parts of the book was how every one came together during the crisis of the spirits. Rachel thought everyone hated her because they thought she dealt in "witchcraft". It's when a crisis happens, people come together. Having Vikings outside your lawn...I think I would've came out and helped out also. So who caused the Spirits to be up and causing a racket...a young teenage boy...who just couldn't help himself. He had to find a spell on the web and try it out. He just couldn't watch tv or surf the web like a normal teenager could he. Geez! Who I found annoying in the book was Jeremy. That boy...just never could get it that Rachel had feelings for him. Why did he already have a girlfriend and why couldn't she just forget about him. When he finally realized she liked him...he still acted clueless. Ugh!!! Ahh!!! Let me slap him for you, Rachel. What was the only bad thing about the book...it was actually when Rachel had to deal with the issues of the Spirits, when someone else stole the thunder from her. She really didn't do much to cast out the spirits. She even tried to contact her Mom (who isn't her biological mother)...to find out what she could do. I loved how the story all came together in the end though. You could also tell, Krista D. Ball did her research on Spirits and the Vikings. I look forward to seeing what the next book is all about. I definitely enjoyed getting away from Vampires and Werewolves for a little bit. Thanks again, Krista D. Ball for contacting me. I look forward to reading more books from you...especially from this series. (less)

If you like humor to your Paranormal Stories…you will definitely enjoy this book, “50 Ways to Hex Your Lover”. Linda Wisdom and her writing style has won me over. After reading the first two books to her “Demon Series”, which is a spin off to the Jazz Tremaine Series…she definitely has a fan for life. I wish I would’ve known about the Jazz Tremaine Series first though. You learn some things about the Witches in this series to prepare for the Demon Series. Oh well…I’m enjoying the Jazz Tremaine Series so far and looking forward to reading the next book. First off, any book that involves a Witch that throws a fireball, a pair of bunny slippers that actually can eat you, and a sports car that has a ghost in it to keep you company…is a MUST-Read for me. I fell in love with the characters in this book…especially, the bunny slippers. Can I get a pair for real? No one would go through my shoes ever again to borrow. Hehe! Jazz is a cool-ass witch who I would love to be. She even has a sexy ex boyfriend who is a Vampire, who seems to come back into her life every once in awhile and stir up old feelings again. Why did they break up in the first place? In this book, Nick, her sexy, gorgeous ex-boyfriend needs Jazz’s help. Some reason, Vampires are disappearing. Why would Jazz want to help him though because her past is coming back to haunt her and she wants to kill the “Evil” Man, or thing, whatever he is, for good…because she thought she had already killed him. This book is full of twists and turns that will take you for a ride. You will be laughing and also grinning. You’ll even get mad. I really enjoyed reading every single chapter in this book. Any book that can me suck into the world that the Author created, is a keeper to me. Highly Recommended to readers who need a good laugh and need a break from dramatic books. Definitely for Paranormal Lovers and Vampire Addicts. It’s about time a Good Witch Series is out there. =)(less)

Every time...I swear Stacey knows how to make me fall in love with male characters from the first minute they are introduced. Kyden definitely stole my heart and it even helped on what he was wearing or lack of wearing. He also had a way with the sword. Oh boy...he definitely was my FAVE character in "Werewolves Be Damned". *sigh*
Darn you, Stacey, now I have yet another male character you have written that I wish was real in person and has been added to my hottie list.
"Werewolves Be Damned" is a Urban Fantasy Romance that takes you into the Otherworld where if you see yourself confronted with a Guardian...you might as well be prepared for a butt whooping. Nexi Jones has found out through a horrific event that she is part witch and part guardian. Now she must train to become a guardian and hopefully get her witch powers later on. Her adopted parents were killed by a werewolf and she is determined to revenge their death. First though, she must prove she can become a guardian and the sexy Kyden will help her with her training. Of course, Nexi and Kyden are having difficulties on keeping their training to just training and hiding their feelings for each other. Both Kyden and Nexi must find out why there are more killings in the human world and why otherworld creatures are doing them. When they do find out who is behind it all, it becomes not only a the Guardians job to find out how to stop the person, but to protect Nexi who maybe the target of it all.
Stacey Kennedy gives you, Nexi, who is one kick-butt female half-breed who can hold her own and she is matched with one of the elite guardians, Kyden who is hard to not look at, especially when he's fighting. This book is full of action, heartache, and romance that will have you wanting the next installment right away. I loved the premise of the storyline and had a hard time putting down the book because of it. These were not some otherworld creatures to mess with. Nexi was one female, who I was even scared of at times. She put herself in so many predicaments and did not listen and I think I did not click with her like I wanted to due to her getting herself into those predicaments. I loved me some Kyden though. Oh....if anything would have happened to him, I would have screamed. Stacey definitely knows how to make your heart stop due to certain events and also make you heat up as well. The sexual tension between Kyden and Nexi made me feel it and in my head I was telling them to jump each others bones already. I look forward to the next installment and let's hope I get some more Kyden. I give this book 4.5 full moons and highly recommend it to urban fantasy and paranormal romance readers out there.(less)

First off, this was the first book I read where it takes you into different time periods of someone and the person is recording the story. You learned about the main character, King Henry Price (Yes...that's his name) from his 14 year old self and then at 22 years old. At 14 years old you found out how Henry's life is with his parents and when he met Ceinwyn Dale who happened to be tracking Mancers to save them from themselves and teach them their powers at a Asylum that she wants Henry to go to. She can't save everyone though and you find out who she is unable to save in the book. That is when Henry learns he is a Mancer himself and he's particularly a "Geomancer". At 22 years old, we learn how Henry has grown out of his "Foul Mouth Teenage self" and now is trying to make a living out of the Asylum running a Antique Shop, but with a twist on his real powers as a Mancer. That is when he is approached by a Vampire (The Fanged Lady), Annie B who needs his help...and she won't take any answer, but yes. I was a little thrown off at first on going back and forth to Henry at 14 when he was just going into the Asylum and when he was 22 and he was battling Vampires with Annie B. After a while though, I knew why the book was the way it was. It actually was better to go back and forth because you learned a little more about the character Henry and why he was the way he was. You also learned what he went through when he was younger. He didn't have a easy life and it was better for him to attend the Asylum and get away from his family. I actually felt terrible for him for what his parents put him through. He didn't really have an adult to take care of him. My favorite character though would be Annie B...which learn in the story is really Anne Boleyn. Really? Anne Boleyn? How could that be? Well..when you read the book you find out a different point of view of Vampires and some other characters that will have you in shock. Richard Raley definitely did his research and I love the fight scene at the end with Annie B, Joan d'Arc and King Henry Price. Yes I typed Joan d'Arc. She's really in there too. Annie B was a sassy, kick ass character that knew how to put Henry in his place. She also knew how to throw down and happened to scare the crap out of Henry in the story. She scared me too. For my first Indie Book...I have to say I'm glad I read this book first. Maybe I'll branch out more and read some more books in this genre now. I gave this book 4 stars. I would give it 5 stars...but I usually give a book 5 stars that had me on the edge of my seat. That's the only thing I didn't get from this book...but that doesn't mean it's not good. I recommend this book to anyone who likes the Urban Fantasy or Indie Genre's. Thank you Richard Raley for giving me a chance to read your book and reviewing it. I definitely want to read the next book in the series when it comes out. King Henry Price sure knows how to tell his story. =) (less)

I'm in shock. What just happened? What the heck? What a friggin' cliffhanger! Definitely didn't expect that at all. After finishing this book, I threw my hands up in the air with clenched fists, screaming Why?!! Don't leave me hanging like that! This book took me through so many emotional moments, that I'm glad my husband wasn't here to witness it. He would've took me to a shrink. He would've told the shrink that I was losing my mind going crazy over fictional characters. He's right though because I've fallen in love with every character in this book. I feel so sorry for Falon. How can you choose over honorable, golden boy, Rafael or dark and dangerous, who hates the laws, Lucien? I sure can't. Falon is one strong-willed, dangerous alpha female in this book who put Lucien in his place several times. My favorite part in the book is on page 44 when Falon tells Lucien off. You go girl!! I love strong ass heroines and she's one of my favorites now after reading this book. Some people may find her annoying because she can't choose who she loves, Rafe or Luca? But...really if you were in her shoes, could you? In Blood Law, we got to read about Falon and Rafe together. I thought Karin couldn't top the scenes she did in that book, but of course she proved me wrong and I'm forever in "Awe" because of it. The sex scenes, the emotions, the fight scenes, and even the hilarious moments in "Bloodright" will have you not wanting to put the book down. I lost sleep because of this book. I read it slowly because I know how far December is away. I wanted to cherish every moment with these characters. There was so much I loved about this book...it would take me forever to list. "Bloodright" picks up where "Blood Law" left off from. You are thrown into the chaos of Lucien choosing Falon over killing her. He wanted to play at Rafe's emotions and he definitely did in this book. Falon of course wants nothing to do with him. Although, after being with him so long, she finds he's irresistible in a different way than Rafe. She feels the need to tame the beast in him. Poor Rafe in this book is forced to do something he doesn't want to. How could he get over his chosen mate in just a short period time? After reading this book though I feel that Falon has 9 lives. That girl died so many times, it wasn't funny. The end though is what's going to blow your mind. I won't give away the spoiler of it. Just remember to pay attention when you read it. I recommend this book to anyone who is a erotica lover, shifter addict (like I am), and isn't afraid to get out of your comfort zone...because there will be times you will you'll have to put down the book to breathe normally. This book definitely took me out of my comfort zone, but in a GREAT way. I don't think I'll ever read a book that tops Karin's writing style ever again. I thought Laurell K. Hamilton had me out of my comfort zone with her sex scenes. I definitely was wrong. Karin Tabke has become the BEST Erotica/Paranormal Romance I've read. I'm going to be in tears when the next book comes out because that will be the last book. All things must come to end though. I will say this, I will be re-reading this books over and over again whenever I want my fix of Luca. Yes...I'm rooting for Lucien. I love the dangerous, dark men who need to be tamed. If you haven't even thought about reading the Blood Moon Rising Trilogy, what are you waiting for? Countdown starts now for "Blood Vow". Hurry up, December and get here. (less)

I love Jessica Anderson's reading style, don't get me wrong, but I feel this book could've had more to it. It seemed to be rushed liked the other books in the series. I understand the authors were only allowed certain amount to write in a short period...but I feel that maybe each book could've had more. That's my honest opinion though. I did love the character Dayn in this book and it seems he has become my favorite so far in the series. A hunky vampire who also turns wolfyn...that definitely is my dream come true in paranormal romance. He has a lot of power and sexiness to him. As for Reda though, there were moments I just didn't like her character. She always seemed scared and I understand what she went through losing her partner, Benz...but she had a hard time getting over it and also learning that she was tough, she just had to let go of her past and look to her future. I don't really like weak heroines, but at the end of the book, she finally decided that maybe it was time to step up and finally conquer her fear. I wish she would've found that out in the beginning. There wasn't much action in this book also, which the 1st book and 2nd book had. There wasn't much obstacles for the characters. It seemed it was mostly a love obstacle for them both. Could they or would they be together or would Reda have to go back to her world and leave Dayn to focus on his world and conquer the Blood Sorcerer. It was driving me crazy at times and I had to put the book down for awhile and come back to it later. I will give Jessica Anderson this, when Dayn and Reda finally made up their minds to be together and bond, she had a great scene between them both and I also loved how she showed the bond between them both afterwards and how Dayn was able to track down Reda after she was captured. I've actually read a short book from Jessica Anderson from one of the Anthologies I have on my book shelves and I've been meaning to read more from her, but just hadn't had the time, but now I will put some of her books to my to-read list and definitely will keep up with her books now after reading this one. I may have gave this book 3 stars...but the Author I give 4.5 stars. =) (less)

I saw "Angel of Darkness" on my Recommended Reads from Amazon.com, one day, and thought I would try it out. It took me awhile to receive the book since I borrowed it from my Library, but once I did get it, I had a hard time putting it down. Cynthia Eden, you are a New Author to me...and I love "The Fallen" Series so far. I'm used to sappy Angel stories, where the Angel is a girly boy (Yes...I said that). I needed a Manly Angel who was Dark and Sexy...and you gave me just that and more. Cynthia Eden throws you into a different world of Fallen Angels. This book is about Keenan and he's the Angel of Death. It's his job to take souls to Heaven after their Death (sometimes horrific). Unfortunately, Keenan doesn't do that to Nicole's soul. Instead, he interferes with her death, but instead of a happily ever after for Nicole, she turns into a Paranormal being herself. She never expected Vampires to exist, let alone Angels. What's the craziness thing about Keenan and taking the souls...is one touch...and your dead...but you have to be close to death (mostly). When Keenan interferes of course he's stripped (burned) of his wings. He crashes to Earth and his main focus to find Nicole again. That doesn't turn out well for him when he sees Nicole again. That poor girl is put through hell. She's hunted down several times, thrown into the chaos of the Paranormal World. What is Keenan to do to prevent her death again? I loved everything about this book, the drama, the action, the romance and of course the characters. I can't wait to see where Cynthia Eden takes us next in the Series. Although, she does do a sneak peek of who is up next in her Series. I did think some characters were annoying and I wanted to BITCH Slap a couple of them...but who doesn't have a Villian or Villians that do that to you. I wasn't really expecting the ending and who was the ACTUAL Big Villain. What that Villain had to go through at the end to defeat him...(He got what was coming to him). This is recommended read to anyone who loves reading about "Fallen Angels" and loves twists to the Heaven/Hell stories.(less)

I finally got a chance to read "Alpha Instinct" this month. I've had on my TBR on Goodreads for awhile now. I'm so glad I squeezed this book in to read because I really LOVED it! I'm a sucker for shifters. I love Alpha Males and a love strong alpha-heroine character. Ana Cordona has been trying to take care of her pack since all the males and pregnant females died in her pack from a mystery poisoning. She has been trying to protect her pack from the other pack next to her who is run by Taggart, who wants more than anything to have Ana. She doesn't want anything to do with him because she knows he's nothing but trouble. Connor Armstrong walks back into her life one night. He wants her to be his mate and he wants to help her take care of her pack. He has his own pack that he's been taking care. His brother, Liam, has been helping also. Ana is skeptical of Connor though because he walked out of her life 50 years ago and she never knew why. Connor had a good reason to walk out of her life, but he wants to make up for it. Connor not only has to help Ana with her pack, but he also has to help his own pack adjust. Connor is also keeping secrets from Ana about his pack. I could go on and on...but do not want to spoil anything. What did I think of Alpha Instinct...I loved it! It definitely quenched my shifter addiction. =) Alpha Instinct had a dangerous Alpha Male and even a dangerous alpha female. I fell in love with Connor when he was introduced. I also adored Ana. She was stubborn when it came to Connor though. He has been in love with her forever...and Ana has been in love with him...but of course it takes a tragedy for them to finally realize they're meant to be. Oh...and when they do hook up...it gets really steamy. =) I love the world Katie creates and how she introduces the other characters. I cannot wait to read Liam's book because you'll get a sneak peek in "Alpha Instinct" who he adores or actually who is addicted over. I loved how Katie also had several bad guys in the novel. You'll find out when you read it, that she has several things happening to Ana and even Connor's pack. I really look forward to the e-novella coming out and then the next novel. I recommend this book to paranormal romance readers and readers who have an addiction to shifters like I do. Who doesn't love a Alpha Male? I know I do. ;) (less)
