The last installment to the Angels Among Us Trilogy was full of emotions, action, and very steamy scenes. It definitely ended the Angels Among Us books very well and also opened up a new installment that I know Elise Marion will make us love just like she did with the Angels.
Nathaniel was a Warrior Angel at one time, until he fell in love and made the mistake of pursing that love. He knew that he should not have fallen for the beautiful woman he met while dancing. He knew his actions would lead him losing his wings forever and becoming one of the Fallen. He could not stop his feelings for the beautiful woman though who captured his heart and now she needs his help more than ever...but he has been dealing with 7 years of not turning into the demon that he made himself become. Carmen Rodriguez has been trying to move on with her life with her son who is Nathaniel's. She did not know that one night of passion would give her such an amazing son who now has Guardians looking after him since demons want her son to help them in their battle. Her son is going to be one very powerful Naphil (half angel/half human). His Guardians who are Sarah and Jackson will do about anything to keep himself. He even has a Warrior Angel by the name of Reniel to keep him safe as well. Unfortunately, they were not prepared for what the demon who wants him for himself to open a portal and steal him in minced a battle. Now...Nathaniel has to help his past love to find their son and bring him back...and also help Carmen with her Oracle powers that she is still trying to learn.
I could go on in the description of the book, but I will give too much away. This is the final installment so I definitely do not want to give it away. Elise Marion definitely made the Angels Among Us go out with a bang. She also picked the perfect characters to finish the trilogy as well. She even brought in previous characters from "Tempted" since they played a vital role in this book. Can I just say...I love Reniel from the previous book and now this book even more. =) I felt a very close connection with the character, Carmen, since she is one strong female who can handle anything and she will do anything to get her son back. Nathaniel who had me fighting his demon from taking over was amazing as well. He fought the hardest of them all because he did not want to become what Lucifer wanted him to be. The ending was epic and I definitely look forward to the spin-off series even more after getting a small glimpse into it at the end of "Redemption". I was wondering since there was questions at the end that needed to be answered. Even the angels said there's more going on that needs to be finished. Angels Among Us, just introduced us to three angels who fell in love and how they were able to live their lives with their loved ones. There's a battle now that needs to be conquered...or should I say battles.
Elise Marion definitely did not disappoint in the last book and it definitely had me crying as well. I love her writing style since it is very descriptive, powerful, and emotional. If you have not read this trilogy yet, what are you waiting for. Warning though, you will miss the Angels after your done reading all 3 books.

"The Conduit" is definitely a book I have never come across before. It was really a different kind of young adult book that I'm used to, but I did like it. Celeste Garrett and her siblings are sent to live with their Grams in Tennessee since their Mom is in Michigan trying to sell their house there. All Celeste wants to do when she gets there is head off to her college so she can start working on her degree. But...instead...she is being told she is destined to the save the world by a stranger who appears in the woods one day...this stranger of course is not human. Celeste's ancestors made a pack with the Gryphon many years ago and now Celeste is to be "The Conduit" and she will harness powers from the Gryphon. Her brother, Gabe and her sister, Kendall are also part of saving the world. If they do not accept their destiny, then the seekers (or otherwise known as demons) will take over the world. There is one seeker out to find Celeste already and seek her out for his boss since she holds the key to everything. If the seekers finds Celeste he will let his boss know and Celeste will be in danger. It is up to Celeste and her family to make sure the seeker never tells his boss. Here comes the training of a lifetime for Celeste and her siblings and of course some strange things start happening to all of them and now they really need to keep what they are hidden.
"The Conduit" is a very humorous young adult story that I found very entertaining. It took me awhile to get into it until the Garrett siblings found out what they were destined to do. Celeste, Gabe, and Kendall are definitely siblings where they tend to fight with each other. There is one part between Celeste and Gabe that I could not stop laughing about. Gabe got his pride hurt...let's just say that. I connected very well with all three of the siblings when reading "The Conduit" and I cannot wait to read more about them in the second book. Poor Celeste, I felt terrible for her and when she was told the truth and I was even more sympathetic of her during the end of the book. =*( Stacey Rourke, left me hanging at the end and what happened to the boy that Celeste was having feelings for.
I recommend this book to readers who love the young adult genre and love fantasy and paranormal elements. Just be prepared to want to read the second book since you will definitely want to know what happens next to the Garret siblings.

When a book involves Angels and Demons...I am always up to reading it and I am glad I found "Death is a Bitch"Review also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
When a book involves Angels and Demons...I am always up to reading it and I am glad I found "Death is a Bitch" through FMB Blog Tours. I also have found another Author, who sucked me into the story from the beginning to the very end.
"Death is a Bitch" is about Death, who is an Angel, who collects everyones souls once they are about to pass away. She has a very tiring job and sometimes it is hard to really find some down time. Azrael, who is another Angel, that works closely to Death sometimes, has never really fell in love before until he gets one night of passion with Death that makes him crave her even more. Death even starts having feelings for the sexy, Azrael, that she is having a hard time forgetting him as well. All of a sudden, Death is dealing with her past again with one soul that escapes Tatarus, thanks to the demon, Damian, who has an hidden agenda with helping King Sisyphus. Damian has always had it bad for Death, and to prevent her happiness with Azrael, he will do anything to get Death to himself...even lie to Azrael.
"Death is a Bitch" is a very entertaining book about Heaven and Hell and how it is never a good thing to mess with Death because she always gets her justice in the end. It may take her awhile, but when she does...there is no looking back. It also helps when she has strong parents who have connections themselves to help her out. Azrael is one sexy Angel who definitely captured my interest the minute he was described. He did piss me off during a part of the book. He believed a lie about Death and he should have known better.
Cate Masters definitely has a fan now after reading this book and I plan reading more of her books real soon. I loved her writing style and I definitely loved her take on Angels and Demons.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves the paranormal romance genre and loves reading about Angels and Demons. You'll definitely enjoy this take on the "Grim Reaper", who is Death, and her sexy love interest, Azrael. You'll probably even like the bad guy as well, Damian. I did feel kind of sorry for him...just a little bit. In the end though, he got what he deserved.

4.5 stars Let me first say, this was my first ever Steampunk novel that I've read...and it definitely will not be my last. I was intrigued by the description of "Her Sky Cowboy" and looked forward to diving into this new series by Beth Ciotta. "Her Sky Cowboy" is definitely a book that will take you back in time, but with a twist of time-travel and how if the past is altered...things will definitely change and not everyone is willing to accept it. Although, there are some people who will thrive for the change and will want more to change their future. Amelia Darcy has always had a fascination with what her father comes up with, especially when it involves the sky. Her family's world comes to a complete halt though when her father dies from one of his inventions he was working on. She blames herself on what happened to her father since she was always there to lend a hand with his inventions. One day, she reads the newspaper on how they are looking for one person to find an invention of historical importance" to honor Queen Victoria. Amelia and her brothers are definitely wanting to win this contest since they want to save their family name and their fortune. They were deemed just like their father who always seemed to not have inventions to kept up to their standards. Amelia has her own idea on one invention that could help her family and it's in Italy, but she'll have to go on her own since her brothers are already made their minds up that Amelia needs to be home with their Mother. Amelia of course does not listen, and instead embarks on her own journey to save the family. She ends up almost getting killed on her invention when her kitecycle runs into the one only, Tucker Gentry, otherwise known as the Sky Cowboy. Amelia knows his stories very well and is intrigued with his airship "Maverick". She knows his past and how he is trying to right his wrongs that he never really did. Tucker ends up taking Amelia onboard and saving her and of course his crew are not very happy about it...especially the engineer. Tucker has no idea what Amelia was doing in the first place out in the sky with a contraption that was not meant to fly that far. Amelia will find herself not only on an adventure to find the invention that she believes will save her family, but will find her life in endanger several times, plus several people who want to kidnap her for someone else. Someone who believes she may know something about a very significant importance. She'll also have to deal with falling in love with the Sky Cowboy, which she never thought would happen.
Bring on flying horses, pirates, people who can control the weather, and the past & the future mingling together...and you will have one extravagant adventure with the beautiful Amelia and her very handsome, Sky Cowboy, Tucker, and his crew. You'll have a hard time putting down this book that mingles the Victorian Era and the 1960s era together. You'll also find out some things that no one thought possible. New Inventions popping up that not even the 21st century has had yet. Be prepared to be blown away in this intriguing new series by Beth Ciotta. I definitely loved this world that Beth created and I cannot wait to read the next one. I want to know more about the Darcy family and maybe hopefully the crew onboard the "Maverick". There is a lot going on this book and I recommend when you do read it, pay attention, otherwise you will get lost. There is so much going on, you'll be fascinated from page 1 to the very end. What did I think about the actual characters...Amelia was stubborn at times, but she was one strong-willed woman who just wanted to prove to everyone she could help her family. Tucker, Amelia's Sky Cowboy, was very strong for putting up with Amelia and he had his own baggage to take care of. I would also like to say, I loved all of Tucker's crews names; Doc Blue, Axel, Starman...and so many others that I loved. I recommend this book to anyone who loves the steampunk genre, or anyone who loves time travel and adventure. You'll definitely want more after you read this book. It was one addicting book that made me wish I could time travel (but of course just observe...)
