Squeee...sorry...girlie moment there. =) Can I just say from the beginning that I loved Becky and Frank in the first book "Hell on Wheels" and was anxious to read "In Rides Trouble" because it was about them. Oh yes!! This book picks up from where "Hell on Wheels" left off with Becky Reichert aka Rebel out on vacation with her best friend Eve. Instead of enjoying a vacation from her job, she's now being kept hostage by pirates who want her to do something for them. She just wanted to get her mind off of one man who would not give her the time of day...instead she's now going to have to get rescued by him. Frank who was introduced also in "Hell on Wheels" is the Boss of the Black Knights. He has his reasons to not get involved with Becky. She's too young, he's too old, he's supposed to be her boss...blah...blah. (All I could read was excuses from this man...LOL) He gets word that Becky has been held hostage and now he has to save her with some of his black knights crew which includes Becky's brother. In the mean time, he has to keep his feelings about Becky contained while rescuing her. Oh..I do not want to give away any good parts...so that is all I'm telling. Sorry, keeping my mouth zipped with this one. I fell in love with both characters in the first book, not only because Becky can take care of herself and Frank is one sexy ex-Seal...but because Becky and Frank's relationship is some what like my relationship with my hubby when we first met. (of course not including the motorcycles...because my hubby wishes he owned one) My hubby is 15 years older than me and I would not have it any other way. So when Frank was complaining about age difference...I was about to go through the book and kick his butt. Just a note...I had a favorite scene between Frank and Becky that I read...and I adored Becky even more. (You go girl...show him whose boss) (Sorry can't tell, will give away the good parts) =) Julie Ann Walker knows how to keep a reader's emotions going haywire. I do not know how many times I felt myself smiling, giggling, or crying over certain scenes in this book. I love the Black Knights and I cannot wait to read the next one. =) I highly recommend this romantic suspense readers out there. It is a must though that you read the first book because you will want to find out about Frank and Becky beforehand. Those two will have you cracking up. The best part is how Becky can handle Frank. So far Becky and Frank are my FAVE couple, but that could change in the next book or next books I should say. =) ...more
"Rev it Up" picks up from where "In Rides Trouble" because Jake Sommers is back and the first words out of hisReview also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
"Rev it Up" picks up from where "In Rides Trouble" because Jake Sommers is back and the first words out of his mouth are "he's here for Shell". That kind of cliffhanger definitely needs to be addressed because I wanted to know who the heck Jake was and why he wanted Shell, Boss's sister. Jake, otherwise known as "Snake" is back and there is only one thing on his mind and that is convincing Shell he's in love with her and always has been. A few years ago, he broke Shell's heart by saying some nasty stuff and also throwing her into another man's arms that was happy to make Shell happy when Jake would not give her the time of day. Michelle (aka Shell) does not want anything to do with Jake. He broke her heart those years ago and she's moved on with her life. She has a son who she has to take care of and she also does not need any trouble in her life...especially when a jerk who ran away from her. Michelle though, is about to be caught up on what is happening to the Black Knights. Boss, who runs the Black Knights secret operation, has to keep his sister and his nephew safe from the people who want him and his men dead. He sends Jake to protect her...but Michelle is not cooperating. Jake will do anything to prove he loves her and will do anything to protect her and her son.
Oh boy...this book had some moments in it, especially when it came to the truth coming out between Michelle and Jake. I was upset about that truth as well as the character that got hurt. Although, Michelle did have her reasons in the end and I actually felt, she did the right thing.
Jake and Michelle had to bring up the past to fix the present and the future they wanted together. When the truth comes out though, people will get hurt. Jake should have listened to Michelle a long time ago, but he was downright stubborn and thought he was doing the right thing walking away from her. Michelle was stubborn as well...but she definitely was one strong woman to keep Jake at bay when he first came back in town.
The person behind trying to kill the Black Knights was down right ruthless and he would do anything to kill one of the Knights and also kill their family and friends.
This is one series I definitely plan on keeping up with. Julie introduced us to some new characters and I really want to know about Rock and Vanessa and how their story will play out. She also threw in some other characters from the previous book. (Can I just say...my fave part was when Becky jumped on Boss's back in the hospital...Get him GIRL!!!) =)
I'm in love with these men at the Black Knights Inc...and I cannot wait until Book 4 and Book 5 come out next year.
If you love romantic suspense, this is the series for you. Make sure you read Hell on Wheels (Book 1) and In Rides Trouble (Book 2) first though. You definitely want to know about the previous characters. My FAVE characters are still Becky and Boss.
Be prepared once you read "Rev It Up"...it's a book full of a lot action and definitely a lot of emotion. Be prepared to ride the emotional roller coaster in this book.

I received a complimentary copy of "Hell on Wheels" from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. And oh...was I excited to read "Hell on Wheels"...when I was approved for it. Sourcebooks has some amazing authors...and I could not wait to read Julie Ann Walker's first book to the Black Knights, Inc Series. Let me just get this out before hand...Julie Ann Walker definitely knows how to write a book where I had hard time choosing what should take priority first...either I would read "Hell on Wheels" and finish it...or I would work on college assignments. Which do you think won? =)
Nate Weller, otherwise known as "Ghost" has gone through so much. He used to be in the Marines, but he's working for the government doing work that someone has to do. He's now apart of the Black Knights which looks to be a motorcycle shop at first...but it's not really. He just lost his best friend and is forced to deliver the news to his best friend's family...and be faced with Ali...who he can not get out of his head. His best friend always told him never to mess with his little sister...but it's kind of hard when she tempts him every time. Ali has always had feelings for Nate, but he has always shut himself off from her. A week or so after finding out her brother, she feels like she's being followed. Then one day, she's mugged out in plain daylight. She has two saviors who help her..but now she knows someone is out to get her so she finds Nate to help her. Nate of course is not really up for it...but once everyone in his team sits down to find out who may be after Ali, they all know it has something to do with her brother, but why?
This is the first book in the series to Black Knights, Inc...and it definitely is a great start to the series. Julie Ann Walker introduces you to other characters and she sets up the world of Black Knights...perfectly! She even throws you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I loved how she got me to laugh and cry at the same time. When I found out the truth on what happened to Ali's brother...let's just say the waterworks started falling. And of course I adored Nate and Ali. They had chemistry from beginning to end. Nate was stubborn though, but I knew why he was stubborn when I found out the truth. What can I say about Ali? I clicked with her the minute Julie introduced her. She is one chick who could hold her own. She also knew how to put Nate on a stand still. =) Although...she did have a weak stomach. Poor girl...she got herself into sticky situations...but she did manage after awhile to get through it all. Oh...and the sexual tension and of course the sex scenes...were mind blowing! Ali is one lucky woman. I look forward to reading the second installment now because its about two other characters who were introduced in "Hell on Wheels".
I recommend this book to any reader out there who enjoys an amazing romantic suspense book, loves the first book to a new series that will keep you turning the page (or in my case, clicking the Kindle), and of course anyone who loves sexy men who ride motorcycles. (who doesn't love a man on a custom bike) =) This book is definitely a book where I will be re-reading it again because I already miss Nate and Ali. =) I look forward to the second installment in September. Julie Ann Walker has a fan for life. =) ...more

I absolutely love "The ComReview also posted on Book Lovin Mamas I have been waiting forever for this book. Well...not forever, but it felt like that. I absolutely love "The Company of Angels" books by Stephanie Chong. I fell in love with the characters in the first book in "Where Demons Fear to Tread" last year. I just knew I would love this one too. I remember, the female character, Luciana in the first book and I was excited to read more about her in this book. (I really did not like her in the first book...but she grew on me in this book) Luciana has fled to Venice, Italy to do her duty of giving the devil his yearly duty. Once in Venice, she tracks down her sacrifice, but ends up running into one of the Company of Angels. She ends up not making the sacrifice in time thanks to the Angel. In the mean time, she has to find away to make it up to her big boss...but the Angel of course is not making it easy for her. She even has her past lover...threatening her...so it is not going to be easy for Luciana to make her boss happy again. Brandon, the angel that interferes with Luciana's plan is trying to capture Luciana for the Company of Angels. She is his assignment...but of course, he finds Luciana to be misunderstood. He feels she could change and he is finding her very irresistible. Of course...in "The Demoness of Waking Dreams", other characters are brought back from the first book...that I really was excited to read about. Corbin (who was such a jerk in the first book), Julian (who I have a HUGE crush on..yes I know he is fictional...but he stole my heart), and several others that I do not what to name. I'll give away too much. New characters are introduced as well...who I hope come back in the third book. My thoughts on The Demoness of Waking Dreams...I loved every minute of it and had a hard time putting down my Kindle. I would read while doing other things. (laundry, etc.) I'm a multi-tasker...I can read as well as take care of things around me. At least I tried to. =) I loved the storyline for Luciana and Brandon. Luciana has her own story and so does Brandon. Both of their stories broke my heart. I could not believe what actually happened to Brandon at the end. I would be upset as well. Oh let me not forget that Julian ends up in the story...and of course I find out more about him and what happened between him and Luciana. =) Luciana and Brandon were perfect for each other. Luciana helped Brandon out with his problems and Brandon helped Luciana. =) I could go on and on, how much I loved this book...but of course I do not want to spoil this book for anyone. The ending, I was definitely not expecting. I'm a little interested on what is going to happen in the third book now. I recommend this book to paranormal romance readers, angel and demon addicts (like myself) and fans of Stephanie Chong. You definitely will be amazed on what happens in this book. If you read the first book, you will enjoy to read about the previous characters, like I did. =)
My dream is to do a character interview with Julian in the future. *sigh* He definitely is a FAVE of mine. Let me not to forget to mention that Stephanie Chong has a fan for life. Countdown to Book 3 is now on. =)...more

I've been in a "Erotica" mood for awhile and I needed something to read that would help that mood. Glad I finally picked up "The Best Mistake" to read. It was a short ebook, but it was worth it. Now I look forward to reading more books from Kate Watterson. Lacey Billings comes home after a week of traveling to a financial convention that she had to go to. She thinks she's coming home to her boyfriend, Ran. She wants to surprise Ran in a perfect way...in bed of course. Unfortunately, she never expected that Ran's cousin would be over and in his bed. Lacey is horrified by what almost happened and she wants to tell Ran. Rick is just as embarrassed since he's always had feelings for Lacey and now finds her even more attractive. He doesn't want to ruin Lacey and Ran's relationship. When Ran finds out though, he laughs about it. He even has a bright idea on how they can stop being awkward around each other....how about a hot steamy threesome. =) I found this ebook to be a very enjoyable short read. Definitely quenched my Erotica mood for a little bit. Who wouldn't want to enjoy a night with two HOT Men? Guys have fantasies of threesomes and so can women, can't they? =) Recommend for readers who love Erotica, short stories, and reading about threesomes. ...more
I love reading books that have some terrific endings to them and also has a lesson learned to3.5 Stars, Review can also be found on Book Lovin' Mamas
I love reading books that have some terrific endings to them and also has a lesson learned to it. The character Tia, is going through a divorce with her husband, David (who by the way I want to go into the book and punch him) What a friggin' jerk. I can't stand man that belittles a woman's self esteem. Tia just wants a fresh start to a new life and she wants to forget her ex-husband (but he makes it difficult for her). She has been living at Alex's house while he was on tour of duty. He is sent home after being injured. He wants to do everything in his power to make Tia realize how much he cares about her. He wants to help her through her ordeals. Alex is definitely a REAL Man in my eyes.
I love how the Author goes back and forth into Tia and Alex's heads. We found out exactly what Alex and Tia wants. Alex brings out out Tia's fantasies of being submissive. Something her ex never understood or even liked. Once Tia realizes what Alex's intentions are with her, she finally realizes there are Men out there that care about a Woman's feelings. The best part was the ending of the book, where she gets over her fears with her Ex and moves on finally. It took awhile for it to lead up to that, and sometimes I was a little upset with Tia's character. How she wanted to push even Alex out of her life to save him. How come she didn't realize in the beginning this Man loved her, I just didn't get it. He even tried to tell her in the beginning, but she was clueless.
I recommend this read for anyone who loves a happy ending and wants to learn what some Women actually go through. Alex caters to Tia's feelings and loves her for what she fantasizes. Some Men don't understand that. Sometimes you have to let the Woman decide what she wants...believe me, not all Women like to be the dominated kind...they prefer to be submissive.
I look forward to reading more books from Callie Croix soon. I also thoroughly enjoyed this book because it takes you into a world of actual circumstances that could happen when someone returns from War and such. ...more

I got my hands on it from Netgalley, but didn't get to read it until the day it released. Boo...I need to start reading a book from there as soon as I get it so I can review it before the book is actually released. Oh well that's what happens when you overload yourself with too many books. This book was ALL about the first and only time Luce and Daniel spent Valentine's Day together. Sad, isn't it? Those two never get a friggin' break. Lauren Kate took us out of Luce's head and into several other characters, finally. Yeah!!!! We got a taste of Shelby and Miles. I adore those two. =) Finally, maybe those two will have a happily ever after and stop playing around and kiss already. Then came Roland's own love story. Although, it ended up being a sad ending for him...but not for his love of course, since he made a serious decision. Made me love him even more. It's never easy to give up your one true love to make them happy. What seriously threw me off, is when Lauren Kate, told Arriane's love story. Wow...wasn't expecting that, but it was really Sweet. Although, of course not another happy ending. Geez! Won't ruin it for anyone who hasn't read the book. I was actually a little upset on what happened to Arianne and her true love. Of course, the finale of the book was Daniel and Luce spending Valentine's Day together. Sweet, beautiful and happily ever....well not really. Sorry...we all know what happens to Luce eventually in every lifetime she's ever lived except her more recent one. At least she got to spend one lovely day with the love of her life. If you haven't read the series, you need to read it. Although, the first book is always going to be the best of the series. The 2nd and 3rd just didn't do it for me. I'm looking forward to reading "Rapture" though and you get a glimpse of the first chapter in this book. I always love sneak peeks. I loved how Lauren flowed each short story into once. Shelby and Miles when they ran into Roland, brought on his story and then Arianne came into Roland's story. It was a great transition. All and all...it was a short sweet read...but not exciting. It's a great Valentine's Day read, but don't think the short novellas are always happily ever afters. There's something to learn in each one. I'm just happy to have read that Daniel and Luce finally got something happy out of the deal. Now the countdown begins for "Rapture". Give me more Cam and I'll be a happy, giddy Book Mama. =) ...more

This book touched my heart when I read it. This book is about Kerry and Dante this time. I got a taste of both of these characters from the first book “Unleashed”. Kerry is sexy model who isn’t the starving run-way model either. She’s the model with the womanly curves who everyone wants modeling for them. She has a condition though where she hates touching people because once she touches them, she feels pain and also sees images. She was adopted and she always felt distant from her adopted family. She always felt like something was wrong with her because they really did not want anything to do with her. Dante is a sexy Amoveo who is apart of the Fox clan. He’s had it rough since what happened in the last book. He knows there’s something different about Kerry and he knows also that she’s his mate after seeing her on the beach for the first time. He has to find away to tell her about him and also find out what she is exactly. Kerry is half human and half Amoveo just like her best friend, Samantha who is from the previous book. In the first book, Kerry was put into the dilemma between the Clans and she didn’t even realize it. In “Untouched”, Kerry is sent on a modeling job down in New Orleans and of course the sexy Dante goes with her as a bodyguard. While they are there, they find out the job has switched to a old house. For some reason, the old man there doesn’t want them inside of it. Also, while on her modeling job Kerry is being threaten by “The Punisher” which is Dante’s mission to find out who it is. He knows it has to do with something with Kerry being half Amveo., but he doesn’t know who to trust. Malcolm and Samantha end up helping out with it, but of course they end up in the crossfire again in this book. In between, the chaos of the modeling job and “the Punisher”, Dante and Kerry end up hooking up and the chemistry between them is perfect. They fit well together and there is no way Kerry can resist Dante and vice versa. In the end, when I found out who the killers were, I definitely wasn’t expecting it. I also wasn’t expecting the twist that Sara threw into the book about Kerry. Yes…Sara…you had me crying at the end. I felt so sorry for Kerry. At least Dante was there for her and she got some closure. This book will have you crying, turning the pages for more, and loving the characters. I recommend this book to anyone who loves Shifters and loves Paranormal Romance. Sara definitely has a fan for life and I look forward to the next book in the series this November, which to me is too far away at the moment. =) ...more
I have wanted to read Julie Kagawa books for awhile and jumped at the chance when I saw "The Immortal Rules" on NetgalReview also on Book Lovin Mamas
I have wanted to read Julie Kagawa books for awhile and jumped at the chance when I saw "The Immortal Rules" on Netgalley. I have all of the Iron Fey books on my Kindle...but other books have taken precedence, but I plan on reading them this year. I'm glad I put other books on hold to read "The Immortal Rules" so I can find out what kind of writing style Julie Kagawa has. At the end of the book, Julie Kagawa said that she really never thought of jumping on the "Vampire" wagon. I'm glad she did though. =) I love reading books that Vampires are not the mushy, romantic, and sparkly kind...instead they are the feared, hated, killing monsters that we are used to reading them as. Julie creates a world where the Vampires run the Humans. Humans are either registered (give blood - they are given food, etc.) or they are unregistered (fend for themselves for food, etc.). Vampires live in the "Inner City" and humans live in the "Fringe". City Walls protect the fringe from the outside world which harbors rabids (which are souless creatures just like Vampires...but even Vampires fear them because they're a abomination of the Vampires). It's a crazy world where no one is safe from dying. I like how Julie just automatically puts the characters into danger and of course if you're close to certain characters already...just let's say you won't be after a few chapters. The main character, Allie is the focus of the book, and I definitely adored her character. She is strong, determined, and definitely fights back (emotionally and physically. She defies pretty much everything as human and a vampire. I won't get into the description of the book because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who is thinking about reading this book. Let's just say...be prepared for anything to happen. Reminder...do not get too attached to characters. Also...don't expect happy beginnings or endings for Allie. Allie was put through a lot in this book and I definitely will be reading the next installment. I did find that the book dragged in some parts and Julie did spend too much time in certain areas of the book, but in the end I loved this book. Recommend this book to anyone out there who has read Julie Kagawa before, loves the Paranormal YA Genre, who loves dystopian fiction, and loves MONSTERS that Vampires are supposed to be (not the Edward Cullen kind...)...more

I think I screamed like a little girl when I got it. I love Cynthia Eden's books. =) Unfortunately, it took me longer to read it due to other things in life that took precedence. Boo! Let's just say this Book Mama was not very happy to put "Angel Betrayed" off for awhile to do college homework. Grr! Don't these professors know I need my Romance books to keep me sane? Geez! I've been counting down the days to read Sammael's story since he was introduced in Angel of Darkness. For some reason, I grew attached to him because he is such a bad ass. I wanted to know which female character would tame this fallen angel and I also wanted to know why he fell. Cynthia definitely picked the best female character to capture Sam's heart. I was definitely not disappointed. Sammael, fell centuries ago because he took matters into his own hands to kill men off that weren't supposed to die yet. He also enjoyed it a little too much. (once I read why he killed the men...I understood why he did it...and I couldn't blame him...I think I would've done the same thing) He now owns a club called Sunrise where he meets, Seline. Seline is a half-breed. (She's half succubus, half angel) She actually has a mission to take out Sammael from someone who wants to punish Sam. Unfortunately, that mission goes not as planned. Who can resist the sexy fallen angel, Sam? Although, she doesn't know what he is until later. She needs Sam's help on gaining her freedom from the person who wants Sam dead. Sam does not want to help her at first until he realizes what she is and how she could help him find Azrael. (another fallen angel...who also appeared in Angel of Darkness) Both of them are now being hunted by the same guy and fallen angels are being killed everywhere now. It's up to Sam and Seline to find the fallen angels that are on the hit list to save them. My thoughts on "Angel Betrayed" were of course not disappointed. I love Cynthia Eden's Fallen Angel world she has created. It's way different from any other fallen angel stories out there. I also learned there are other types of angel in this book (not just Angel's of Death) that weren't introduced in the previous book. Yes...definitely like the way Cynthia has taken this world. I loved Seline's character and how strong she was and how she could take care of herself. I loved her abilities and I loved how she handled Sam in the book. I adore Sam...and he is my FAVE of the Fallen Angel's...(probably until I read Azrael's story) Found something out about Azrael in this book that I wasn't expecting. =) Sam in my opinion could have been forgiven for what he did to those men before he fell, but of course that's now how it works in the angels world. There was a lot of action in this book and of course some steamy scenes between Sam and Seline. (Jealous...of Seline...just letting everyone know...damn her) Now I have to wait until the next book comes out. I can wait patiently. At least try too. =) Thanks Cynthia Eden for creating these Fallen Angel series. =) I recommend this book to paranormal romance readers out there, fans of Cynthia Eden, and of course those readers who love reading about sexy fallen angels. You will definitely not be disappointed in these books. =) ...more

I have a thing for Wolves and Navy Seals…put them together and I’m in HEAVEN. *Sigh* The minute I found out that Terry combines my two very interest, I knew I had to read this book. I jumped at the chance when I saw it in Netgalley. Begin the review of swooning over Finn Emerson….I mean “A Seal in Wolf’s Clothing. =) What a Strong, Protective Alpha Male! He has become another FAVE of the Heart of the Wolf Series…and I consider him one of my Book Boyfriends of 2012. Who wouldn’t want to hook up with a Alpha Male like him and also a plus that he’s a Seal. I know you ladies dream about hooking up with a Navy Seal. =) I’ve had the pleasure in real life working out with Navy Seals while I was in the Navy…let me just say..their workout routines are no joke and their bodies are always fit. ALWAYS! (begin daydream of men in short beige shorts, shirtless on the beach…Yeah…I get to see that a lot here in Va Beach)…I’m allowed to look. =) What did I think about this amazing book? I had a hard time putting it down of course. I love strong female and male characters. Terry Spear writes two characters that are perfect together. They both have their similarities and differences. More similarities then they care to admit. Meara is the fierce, feisty woman who lets Finn know she can take care of herself, but you know how Alpha Males usually are, they’re very protective of their ladies. Put a stubborn female with a stubborn male, your going to see heads butting, eyes rolling, smart remarks and irresistible love making of course. The story that Terry created for this book, puts you into the world where Navy Seals are not to be messed with and how they come together when one of them is in trouble…or someone in the family is trouble. If shifters were real of course…I definitely could see Navy Seals being Alpha Males of a Pack. No wonder why Terry wrote this book. In this book, the Meara’s being targeted because the Seal Team that Finn is apart of is being targeted by a unknown source. They have no idea who is trying to kill them, so Finn takes it upon himself to protect Meara. Meara and Finn of course are thrown into obstacles in this book with the hit men and also with their feelings for each other. The horrible thing is Finn is not supposed to hook up with Meara, it’s against Meara’s brothers rules for his Seal buddies..unfortunately Finn can’t resist her. Oh well..looks like not only Finn has to fight the killer(s) off…but he has to fight off Hunter (Meara’s brother). Gotta love over protective big brother…no body is good for his little sister. I definitely enjoyed this book and reading about Meara and Finn. I even got some of Hunter and Tessa again which I read about in a previous book in the series, “To Tempt the Wolf”. I don’t really want to spoil the book to anyone who hasn’t read it. If you haven’t…you need to add it to your TBR lists or go out and buy it now. You don’t have to read it in order…since this is the 9th book in the series. Terry pretty much explains everything in each book she writes. I also love the fact that Meara reads romance novels and how the romance books she usually reads is from a female author who actually got her own story. I recommend this book to anyone who loves wolf shifters, strong hero characters, and of course who has an addiction with Navy Seals. I’ve been fan of Terry Spear since I found the first 3 books on the shelves of a local book store and ever since, I’ve made sure to keep up with her books and what is next in this series. If I had to grab some books off of my book shelves in a hurry because of a apocalyptic crisis here on Earth (cause I can’t live without books of course)…this would be the series I would grab. I can’t get enough of the Heart of the Wolf Series. I’m looking forward to the next Wolf book from Terry Spear and looking even more forward to the Jaguar series in October. =) ...more

All good things must come to end. I've been waiting awhile for this book to come out. I jumped at the chance when Netgalley had it. I actually read this book slowly so I could enjoy it since it's the last in the series. It picks up from the last book and Zara is having to prevent a apocalypse from happening. That's a lot on a teenage girl's shoulder who should be focusing on school. She is also dealing with Nick who she rescued from Valhalla, but of course he's being hard-headed and difficult. He doesn't even want to be around her because she's a pixie. There's also Astley, who is her pixie king. Does she have feelings for him or not? Zara has to defy pixie rules in this book by letting humans know what they are up against. In addition, Zara and her friends come up with the idea of teaching the humans how to fight, sometimes without the weapons they truly need. There's an emotional roller coaster through out the book with Zara. She comes upon people, she thought she would never see again. She has to continuously save herself, her friends, and her mind in this book. I will not ruin this book for anyone who hasn't read it. So here are my thoughts on Endure: What did I love about this book the most? I loved the action and how Carrie brought the series to a great finish. I loved how Carrie explained everything also. She put a lot of research into this book, and you can tell by reading this book. =) I love how Zara grows up so much in this book and fights even when she is thrown into a difficult situation. She stands up for what she needs to do also, and makes people upset. This book definitely is a great ending to an amazing series. The only thing that I really did not like was Nick. How I used to adore him. In this book though, I wanted to smack him around. He kept hurting Zara's feeling. Thank goodness for Astley, who helped Zara out through it all. Zara friends were also there to pick her up. I recommend this book to anyone who has read the other books in the Need Series, readers who adore YA, and readers who adore the fey. This is one fey series that will be missed, but like I said in the beginning of this post...all good things must come to an end. Look forward to reading more books from Carrie Jones soon. =) ...more

I was looking forward to reading it since it was about Jaguar Shifters and in a different setting then usual Authors would put their characters. Unfortunately, from the beginning to end I was less interested and had a hard time reading it. I feel terrible because of it. Maybe it's because I didn't read the first book in the series first. I don't like reading out of order. Maybe it's my OCD that takes over that makes me not enjoy a book if it's out of order. Adriano was exiled from his kind and all he wanted was to buy back his innocence to the Jaguar shifters and be back with his family. He comes across Sophie though who entices him. Sophie is a grad student who just wanted to uncover the secrets. When she comes across Adriano she never thought she could fall in love...she thought it was just lust. When she's thrown into Adriano's world though, she finds out things that she shouldn't ever know. Now it's Adriano's job to protect her and save her from her curiosity. I felt like the story could've been explained more. It just felt rushed in certain points. I would've loved to learn more about the characters and the actual location. I will give Eleri Stone 4 stars for the sex scenes though. Those steamy scenes definitely kept my attention when the rest of the story didn't fulfill it. I do look forward to Eleri Stone's next book whenever she brings it out. Maybe the first book in the series will capture my heart and the 3rd book capture it as well. As for this one though...the only thing that captured me...was the steamy sexy cliff and tent sex scenes...and the describing of Adriano...Yum!!! As long as Eleri keeps those kind of things in her books...she definitely will have me reading her books forever. =) ...more
I haven't read Erotica in awhile and when I got a chance to read and review "Sapphire" by Jeffe Kennedy...I jumped on it. What captured my attention tI haven't read Erotica in awhile and when I got a chance to read and review "Sapphire" by Jeffe Kennedy...I jumped on it. What captured my attention the most was the description of the book and then the cover. A book that shows someone in handcuffs has to be good, right?
From the beginning to the end, this book is intense. M. Taylor Hamilton is one woman who thinks work is her life. She never has fun and never gets loose. Until she is put into a enticing and sexy situation with sexy, mystery and out of control Adam Kirliss on her boss's yacht. They've always had a working relationship and she never gave him a chance for anything else...but when he starts showing a darker side and makes Taylor do things, she never thought she would allow...Taylor starts realizing maybe she has another side to herself, that she may like better.
Adam's main focus to break Taylor from her stiff life and make her realize she can lose control every once in awhile.
What Adam does to Taylor though, is just way overboard KINKY.
Jeffe definitely had the sex scenes get really steamy and erotic in certain parts of the books. Taylor had to trust Adam with her body and her emotions when it came to Adam's sex control. I don't think I would allow some guy who I hardly know take control like Taylor did with Adam....until Jeffe described Adam a little more in the book and then I changed my mind. Yum!!!
Adam is definitely a perfect match for Taylor and I'm glad he got her to open up and break her shell. At the end of the book it takes a twist which opens up Taylor even more. I love it!!
I gave this book 4 stars because it definitely had me keep reading until the end. I had to stop reading certain parts just to cool down though. =)
My hubby has always wondered why I loved reading romance and erotica. Books like this give me ideas on what we could together. =) Thank you, Jeffe Kennedy for some ideas that I definitely wouldn't mind trying out...although their is one thing I won't try...it's just too far out there for me. LOL
I definitely will be keeping up with Jeffe's books now after I read this book and I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes erotica. I even recommend for anyone who isn't comfortable with erotica. This book will take you out of your comfort zone...and who knows, maybe bring out another side you never knew about, like Adam did to Taylor. ...more
If your looking for a Paranormal Romance book with some Humor in it...you definitely should read this book. LinReview also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
If your looking for a Paranormal Romance book with some Humor in it...you definitely should read this book. Linda Wisdom has done it again with her "Demons Series". "A Demon Does it Better" will capture the hearts of any reader who enjoys some humor, some romance and a great storyline.
Lili Carter, a 700 year old witch who goes back to Crying Souls to work as a Doctor. She's on a mission though to find her Witch friend, Sera who went missing while working there. She is to work with Dr. Mortimer down in the depths of the hospital in the Asylum where their our creatures who are supposedly crazy and can never be healed. Lili is a healing witch. She's one of the best in her field and she's determine to heal the patients in the Asylum. When she comes across Jared...or who Dr. Mortimer calls Patient 1172...she finds it a mission to find out what is exactly makes him dangerous and she eventually wants him out of there.
Jared is Demon who can leave the confines of his cell by using the shadows. He comes across Lili when she first came to town. Lili didn't know until later that he was Patient 1172.
Lili is thrown into chaos at the hospital. She becomes friends with a Were-Leopard who helps her out a lot during her duties at the hospital and outside of work.
It's Cleo...Lili's familiar (well actually to Cleo she isn't). Cleo makes the book's humor come to life and adore her. Cleo is short for Cleopatra. She is actually Cleopatra from the Egyptian times. She tends to be a high-maintenance cat that gets Lili riled up. She is able to go in the hospital to help tend to the children who are sick. She makes them forget about their illness.
From the minute I started reading this book on my Kindle, I had a hard time putting it down. Unfortunately with the Holidays, I had to stop for a bit...but once Christmas was over with, I was determine to find out what happened next to the characters. I loved when Linda Wisdom brought Maggie and Elle into this story. =) My favorite characters of 2011. Yay! If you haven't read Demons are a Girl's Best Friend...you need to.
I fell in love with Jared and felt terrible for him. He was going through hell in this book. Lili was definitely perfect for him and I'm glad for the ending between them.
I can't wait until the next book in the series. I hope the characters from the first two books show up in the 3rd book too. I love finding out what is happening to previous characters.
Linda Wisdom has definitely become one of my favorite authors in 2011. I definitely recommend this book to any lover of paranormal romance. You will definitely enjoy it from beginning to end. =) ...more

You know to not ever judge a book by it's cover, but this one, I have to say is one reason I adore this book. It seems every book's cover for the Heart of the Wolf Series gets better and better. I have to say also, is the model on the cover fits Jake's description very perfectly and I'm jealous now of Alicia getting Jake in the book. She's one lucky Gal. If you have never read the Heart of the Wolf Series, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Terry Spear writes her wolf series, like they are actual wolves in the wild, not like the movie "The Wolfman." This is one main reason why I adore this series and I can't get enough of the Sexy Alpha Males she comes up with. Now in "Dreaming of the Wolf", we are going back to Silver Town to finally get Jake his Mate. I love Jake not only for his looks, but the Man is a Photographer. He loves taking photos of Wildflowers. I would love to meet a Man who adores taking photos of beautiful things like flowers. I love taking photos myself, and flowers have been my favorite thing to photography since I took of Photography in 2006. The minute I started reading about Jake, I fell head over heels for him. Jake is definitely a very over-protective Alpha Male too, which who wouldn't want this Man watching over them? He finds his perfect Mate while trying to put his photos in a Art Gallery. He comes across Alicia...well, he actually kind of stalks her. Although, I have to say again, she's one lucky gal to have such a sexy hunk stalk her. Jake doesn't realize he's about to meet Alicia who is in kind of bind with the Mob. She is a Bounty Hunter and she's trying to put her Mom's killers behind bars where they belong. She has no idea she's about to fall into the Supernatural world that she never thought could exist and she is also about to meet the One Man who will change her luck on Love and Marriage. Let's just say, that Alicia gets lucky even in the beginning of the book and I loved the Woods Scene. =) From beginning to end, I had a hard time putting down this book. I love how Terry Spear, always makes the story so interesting. This book took you into the world of Mobsters and what would happen if you threw in Werewolves in the mix. She also brings back old characters from previous books. I love getting a look at Lelandi's pregnancy more and having Darrien again. Yum!!! I also loved the ending the most. Who would thought, a Wedding would happen at Silver Town...but when I woman puts her mind into something, who can say No to Lovely Lelandi. "Dreaming of the Wolf" has become one of my FAVE books I've read in 2011 and I definitely look forward to the next book in the series coming out next year. The best part is I got a sneak peek of "A Seal in Wolf's Clothing" at the end of "Dreaming of the Wolf". I'm looking forward to reading about Meara and Finn Emerson. Thank you again, Terry Spear for my Alpha Male Fix again this year. I look forward to the next books in the series and again, you have a FAN for life!!! I recommend this to any reader out there that has an obsession with Sexy Alpha Males and Daring Heroines. You will definitely enjoy this book and all the other books in the Series....more
"Lord of the Wolfyn" by Jessica Anderson was interesting at first because I definitely love the comparison with Red Riding Hood and the Wolf...but it"Lord of the Wolfyn" by Jessica Anderson was interesting at first because I definitely love the comparison with Red Riding Hood and the Wolf...but it seemed this book lacked what I'm used to in a paranormal romance. I love Jessica Anderson's reading style, don't get me wrong, but I feel this book could've had more to it. It seemed to be rushed liked the other books in the series. I understand the authors were only allowed certain amount to write in a short period...but I feel that maybe each book could've had more. That's my honest opinion though. I did love the character Dayn in this book and it seems he has become my favorite so far in the series. A hunky vampire who also turns wolfyn...that definitely is my dream come true in paranormal romance. He has a lot of power and sexiness to him. As for Reda though, there were moments I just didn't like her character. She always seemed scared and I understand what she went through losing her partner, Benz...but she had a hard time getting over it and also learning that she was tough, she just had to let go of her past and look to her future. I don't really like weak heroines, but at the end of the book, she finally decided that maybe it was time to step up and finally conquer her fear. I wish she would've found that out in the beginning. There wasn't much action in this book also, which the 1st book and 2nd book had. There wasn't much obstacles for the characters. It seemed it was mostly a love obstacle for them both. Could they or would they be together or would Reda have to go back to her world and leave Dayn to focus on his world and conquer the Blood Sorcerer. It was driving me crazy at times and I had to put the book down for awhile and come back to it later. I will give Jessica Anderson this, when Dayn and Reda finally made up their minds to be together and bond, she had a great scene between them both and I also loved how she showed the bond between them both afterwards and how Dayn was able to track down Reda after she was captured. I've actually read a short book from Jessica Anderson from one of the Anthologies I have on my book shelves and I've been meaning to read more from her, but just hadn't had the time, but now I will put some of her books to my to-read list and definitely will keep up with her books now after reading this one. I may have gave this book 3 stars...but the Author I give 4.5 stars. =) ...more
