The objective is to have someone else pick a book for you to read from their books they've read, but to make sure it's not already in your To-Be-Read list and to make sure you haven't read it before also.
Thanks again to the wonderful, Gems, for choosing this book for me to read. I would've never known about this book until you chose it for me...and I'm so glad you did.
From the first chapter to the last chapter, I was enthralled with it. I love a Paranormal book that has some action, love, and even humor to it. After reading the description from the back of the book...I knew I would have a hard time putting it down. Although, having two kids...one being a 2.5 month old...and having to do college homework online...I had to put down the book once in awhile. *sigh*
The character Sarah Dearly is absolutely fabulous. She's sassy and sarcastic. She's always getting herself into horrible situations, but she always manages to get out of it. Poor girl, just never gets a break in the book.
This is the first book I've read, that the lead Male character is a pain in the ASS. The minute you read about him, you either feel sorry for him or want to kick his butt. I feel sorry for him at first due to fact he has to deal with Sarah and her sarcastic ways. Poor guy! LOL
Michelle Rowen, doesn't make the vampires sparkle or have crazy abilities like other vampire books I've read. She makes them seem normal, except for drinking blood of course. (she does have the blood come in a Keg..kind of strange...but I love it). No wonder why the Vampire Hunters have their hands full on killing the Vampires. They really can't tell whose human and whose Vampire...except maybe when a Vamp shows "Fang."
I recommend this book to anyone who loves a little humor to their Vampire Romance. If you've read Linda Wisdom's books, you'll definitely enjoy Michelle Rowen. =) I'm definitely picking up the 2nd book from my Library soon. I must find out what happens next to Sarah and her crazy misfit friends.(less)

If you like humor to your Paranormal Stories…you will definitely enjoy this book, “50 Ways to Hex Your Lover”. Linda Wisdom and her writing style has won me over. After reading the first two books to her “Demon Series”, which is a spin off to the Jazz Tremaine Series…she definitely has a fan for life. I wish I would’ve known about the Jazz Tremaine Series first though. You learn some things about the Witches in this series to prepare for the Demon Series. Oh well…I’m enjoying the Jazz Tremaine Series so far and looking forward to reading the next book. First off, any book that involves a Witch that throws a fireball, a pair of bunny slippers that actually can eat you, and a sports car that has a ghost in it to keep you company…is a MUST-Read for me. I fell in love with the characters in this book…especially, the bunny slippers. Can I get a pair for real? No one would go through my shoes ever again to borrow. Hehe! Jazz is a cool-ass witch who I would love to be. She even has a sexy ex boyfriend who is a Vampire, who seems to come back into her life every once in awhile and stir up old feelings again. Why did they break up in the first place? In this book, Nick, her sexy, gorgeous ex-boyfriend needs Jazz’s help. Some reason, Vampires are disappearing. Why would Jazz want to help him though because her past is coming back to haunt her and she wants to kill the “Evil” Man, or thing, whatever he is, for good…because she thought she had already killed him. This book is full of twists and turns that will take you for a ride. You will be laughing and also grinning. You’ll even get mad. I really enjoyed reading every single chapter in this book. Any book that can me suck into the world that the Author created, is a keeper to me. Highly Recommended to readers who need a good laugh and need a break from dramatic books. Definitely for Paranormal Lovers and Vampire Addicts. It’s about time a Good Witch Series is out there. =)(less)

This was not my favorite book in the series at all and I think I'm being a little nice by giving this book 3 stars. The only thing I enjoyed about this book was Morgan, the Heroine in the story and Ashe. The Hero, Kierland, was pissing me off. I wanted to go through the book and slap him like crazy. He sounded like whiny B**** instead of a Man. Grrr!!! I also felt like the story was dragging and didn't really have much action to it. It was mostly going back and forth to Morgan and Kierland's point of view. Morgan would complain about Kierland's mean attentions and Kierland would say how difficult it was to work with and be with Morgan. There was a few times, I wanted to throw the book across the room. The only thing that got me interested was when Morgan's ex-lover, and close friend, Ashe came into the book. It was about time someone knocked some sense into Kierland and even Morgan. I was upset the book didn't have much of a storyline to it also. It was focusing on Kellan's character, Kierland's brother and getting him back. I do love Kellan though and I'm looking forward to his book...but Kierland didn't even many fight scenes like the previous books did. He had more of a emotional drama instead of a physical one. He just didn't know what he wanted until he almost lost Morgan and even then, he was being a big pain in the ass...not seeing the BIG Picture. Gr! I plan on reading the next book in the series and hopefully it will get me back to loving the series...but as of now...the only thing that saved this book was a Vampire who I wish I knew more about. I was even hoping Morgan would hook back up with him instead of Kierland. I recommend this book who loves the series...and who actually adores Kierland in previous books...but for me...Kierland didn't live up to his potential like I thought he was. (less)

Aislinn is trying to adjust to being the Summer Queen and Keenan's partner. She's also still seeing Seth, her mortal boyfriend. Although, Seth in this book is showing jealousy signs and wants to be there for Aislinn more and he doesn't want to be the vulnerable human anymore. Keenan of course wants Aislinn to be more than a friend to save the Summer Fairies. Even when Keenan is still in love with the Winter Queen. This book has a lot of drama in it. When I say drama...I mean war is about to break out between the courts and all because of one certain fairy that wants it to happen. What did I like about this book the most was that Seth took it upon himself to make his dream come true. He didn't let anything stop him. I also loved the ending when he confronted Aislinn and then went to the Dark King for help. My favorite character for some reason has always been Niall. I'm glad to read more about him and also know he's adjusting very well to being the Dark King. What I didn't like about the book was it took awhile to peek my attention. It dragged in the beginning and then finally started to pick up at the end. It also went back and forth to other characters that I didn't really care about...like Donia and Sorcha. Although, Donia and Sorcha play a significant part in this book, especially Sorcha when it comes to Seth. Maybe the next book will explain more about Sorcha and I'll be fond of her more. I will say this...I wasn't really expecting the ending...and I love Seth even more. =) I recommend this book for anyone who is a YA lover. "Ink Exchange" is still my fave in the series. Now onto the next book in the series to find out what happens with Devlin...who happens to be a very mysterious character who I can't wait to learn more about. (less)

I saw "Angel of Darkness" on my Recommended Reads from Amazon.com, one day, and thought I would try it out. It took me awhile to receive the book since I borrowed it from my Library, but once I did get it, I had a hard time putting it down. Cynthia Eden, you are a New Author to me...and I love "The Fallen" Series so far. I'm used to sappy Angel stories, where the Angel is a girly boy (Yes...I said that). I needed a Manly Angel who was Dark and Sexy...and you gave me just that and more. Cynthia Eden throws you into a different world of Fallen Angels. This book is about Keenan and he's the Angel of Death. It's his job to take souls to Heaven after their Death (sometimes horrific). Unfortunately, Keenan doesn't do that to Nicole's soul. Instead, he interferes with her death, but instead of a happily ever after for Nicole, she turns into a Paranormal being herself. She never expected Vampires to exist, let alone Angels. What's the craziness thing about Keenan and taking the souls...is one touch...and your dead...but you have to be close to death (mostly). When Keenan interferes of course he's stripped (burned) of his wings. He crashes to Earth and his main focus to find Nicole again. That doesn't turn out well for him when he sees Nicole again. That poor girl is put through hell. She's hunted down several times, thrown into the chaos of the Paranormal World. What is Keenan to do to prevent her death again? I loved everything about this book, the drama, the action, the romance and of course the characters. I can't wait to see where Cynthia Eden takes us next in the Series. Although, she does do a sneak peek of who is up next in her Series. I did think some characters were annoying and I wanted to BITCH Slap a couple of them...but who doesn't have a Villian or Villians that do that to you. I wasn't really expecting the ending and who was the ACTUAL Big Villain. What that Villain had to go through at the end to defeat him...(He got what was coming to him). This is recommended read to anyone who loves reading about "Fallen Angels" and loves twists to the Heaven/Hell stories.(less)

I finished this book October '11 and had to get it back to the library in a hurry. Thanks to my local library for ordering this book so I can read it. I gave it actually 4.5 stars. I enjoyed reading this book and think I will have to buy it eventually for my own collection at home. Now onto my opinion of the book. Let me just say I wasn't really into the book at the beginning. I thought it took awhile to get it up to some action and drama that I was used to reading. After a few chapters though, it got really interesting and I had a hard time putting it down. Especially, the sex scenes between the main characters Rafael and Falon. Wow!!!! It got really heated and steamy between them and I don't think I've ever read a book where the characters had so much love and sex with each other except maybe the Anita Blake Series by Laurell K. Hamilton. It even threw in a threesome almost in this book between the two brothers and Falon...but I won't get into how that happened. All I can say is Falon, the poor woman is going through a difficult time in this book and goes through hell...but she is ONE TOUGH CHICK. I loved the ending the most because it left such a KICKASS Cliffhanger that will piss you off. At least it pissed me off because I wasn't expecting it...but in a good way of pissing off. Again, poor Falon...that woman sure has gotten herself into a jam. Now onto the characters...my favorite character has to be Falon of course because she's one strong ass female character. In fact she's been the strongest female I've read since "Dark Taste of Rapture" by Gena Showalter. Noelle and Falon would get along very well together. She goes through a lot in this book which anyone would feel sorry for her. At least I definitely did. The woman didn't know who or what she was exactly, but she knew she was different. She's being tracked down by the Slayers, but ends up coming across the Lycans. That is when she meets Rafael who she doesn't think she can trust at first. She doesn't know what world she is landed in when she comes across the Slayers and Lycans, but she has to learn quickly how to survive in their two worlds. My thoughts on Rafael in this book is this guy definitely has had it hard too. Not only is he trying to save his pack, but he's also having to deal with his twin brother who has it out for him for killing his mate. Whoever Rafael decides to mate, his twin brother has a right to kill as per the Blood Law. Poor Rafael, if he meets his soulmate, he will be forced to turn her over to be killed by his brother. Who would want that? I almost want to hug him. He'll only know love for awhile...but what if he's willing to fight the Blood Law? Now that is when it gets really interesting. You will have to read this book to find out what the brothers are fighting about. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it. I do want to read more about the twin brother though in the next book, which I know will happen. =) You'll also need to read the book to find out what Falon finds out about herself. Karin Tabke definitely knows how to make you sit on the edge of your seat. I look forward to reading the next book in the series and getting to know more about the characters and what happens next.(less)
