5 full moons - "Aces Wild" by Amanda Carlson Aces Wildis first novella to the Sin City Collector series and if every other book is like this one, I am5 full moons - "Aces Wild" by Amanda Carlson Aces Wild is first novella to the Sin City Collector series and if every other book is like this one, I am alreadyhooked. In Aces Wild, we have vampires, dhampirs, hellhounds, shifters, and witches in the city of Las Vegas…otherwise known as Sin City. Some of these supernaturals are apart of the Collectors. These collectors are told to bring in offending supernaturals to their boss without any questions. Some times though the offenders are supernaturals that Collectors don’t want to collect. Like in the case of Nevada Hamilton. She doesn’t want anything to do with vampires, even though she’s half one. She has her reasons why she doesn’t want to collect vampires and once you read Aces Wild, you’ll find out why. There’s another thing she doesn’t want to be apart of…and that is having a partner. She ends up partnering up with Jake Troubador who happens to be a hellhound…and well she had a thing with him. She doesn’t want him there to help with her latest collection even though, she’s going to need his help more than ever in this one. These two have a lot of tension between each other. ( I mean whole A LOT!!) Amanda did an amazing job with character development and world-building in such a short novella. The action alone will have you turning the pages, at least that is what my excuse is. The minute I started reading I knew I would have a hard time putting it down. Let’s not forget to mention the drama that happens, when the truth comes to light on why Nevada was chosen to collect this one particular offender. I also want to mention that there is some very steamy moments between the characters…oh boy…very steamy! (I need a cold shower kind of steamy moments) It’s nothing new that Amanda Carlson is one of my favorite Urban Fantasy Authors and in Aces Wild she did an amazing job in the PNR genre. I fell in love with the characters and the Sin City Collector storyline. I look forward to reading the next installments even more after reading the first novella in the series. Amanda did a kickass job on starting the series off and I want more from this series already!!!! I give this book 5 full moons and highly recommend it to PNR readers out there. Need something quick to read this summer or right before bedtime, this is the novella for you. The next novella in the series comes out next month…and I will definitely be reading it as soon as it comes out. =)...more

In The Darkest Touch, Gena continues the storyline from the previous book, but with Torin and Keeley being the main characters. These two will be put through several tests thanks to what Gena had them go through, but that made me continuously flipping through the pages. (My husband may have gotten the evil eyes several times, while I was reading this book. He should know by now to not interrupt me, while I’m reading a book by Gena Showalter.) Gena also gives us glimpses into what is happening with other characters. Secrets will be let out of the bag in this book that will leave you in shock. I know one particular scene I’m still in shock over.
If you haven’t read this series and are a fan of paranormal romance, I definitely recommend reading this series in order. It’s a series full of action, romance, darkness, and humor that will have you on the edge of your seat....more
4.5 moon rating - "Cougar's Mate" by Terry Spear This is not new, but I’ve been a fan of Terry Spear’s books since 2009. The minute I found her Heart4.5 moon rating - "Cougar's Mate" by Terry Spear This is not new, but I’ve been a fan of Terry Spear’s books since 2009. The minute I found her Heart of the Wolf series at my favorite used book store, I became a fan. She’s one reason why I’m addicted to shifter books. I was excited to get a chance to read her new series, which involved cougars. I definitely knew the minute I started reading, I would have a hard time putting down Cougar’s Mate. Terry Spear does amazing research on every shifter book she writes. I studied about cougars when I was little, so was curious to read a fictional shifter story about them. (In Florida, we call them panthers, and they are an endangered subspecies of cougars, and Terry Spear did an amazing job on in cooperating these beautiful animals into a story.) She was able to portray these beautiful animals into shifters that will win readers hearts. In Cougar’s Mate, we have Shannon Rafferty who is on the run due to her witnessing her own boyfriend’s murder. She was supposed to be safe with her current boyfriend due to him being a cop. She ends up dating someone who is into something illegal, and his family thinks he is stealing money from them. She’s now having to run through the mountains in Colorado as a cougar to hide from her boyfriend’s family that is looking for her. She ends up meeting other cougar shifters just like her who want to take her in and protect her. She doesn’t want to put anyone in danger over what has happened and she doesn’t want them finding out the truth. The person who ends up becoming her savior, Chase Buchanan will do anything to win her trust, but she definitely doesn’t make it easy. Let’s just say Shannon is one cougar who can take care of herself and managed to make a ruckus in a usually quiet town. She managed to hurt both Chase (who is a part-time deputy) and his friend, Dan who is the Sheriff. I have to say I adored Shannon’s character due to how strong she was. (She probably would have never considered herself strong due to how she always bolted. She managed to take down to strong characters in the book though and everyone would not let those two live it down…LOL) Even though at times I wanted to slap her silly. She could have just told the truth about everything and everyone would have accepted her, but I also understood why she didn’t. She definitely made the book very lively, especially when she first met Chase and Dan. (She was able to best both of them…I love when a female character can take down two alpha males) Chase was such an adorable character. He was willing to do anything for Shannon the moment he met her, even when she made it difficult for him. I loved his alpha tactics, but I also adored his way of winning over Shannon. He was soft with her at first until the very end. He gave her time to trust him…which again was not easy. He had lots of patience. =) I enjoyed every minute of this book and look forward to reading the next in the series. If you are looking for a book that has romance, action from beginning to end, and lots of humor then this book is for you. I give this book 4.5 moons and recommend it to paranormal romance readers out there. If you haven’t read Terry Spear’s books yet, then you are missing out on some amazing books. 4.5 moons - "Call of the Siren" by Rosalie Lario Call of the Sirenis the fourth and final book to the Demons of Infernum by Rosalie Lario and it no do4.5 moons - "Call of the Siren" by Rosalie Lario Call of the Siren is the fourth and final book to the Demons of Infernum by Rosalie Lario and it no doubt went out with a bang. Rosalie concludes this series with a epic fight scene and Dagan finally getting his happily ever after. I’m going to admit a head of time, I didn’t read in order in these series, but Rosalie does an amazing job on making it easy to follow on what happened in previous books with the other characters in the story. At least that is how I felt while reading this book, and look forward to going back to the other books I didn’t get a chance to read before reading this one. I hate knowing this is the last book to an amazing series because this world that Rosalie created was intriguing and like no other world I read before. In Call of the Siren, Dagan falls in love with Ronin’s adopted-sister, Lina. He would give up his player ways to be with her, but it’s kind of hard when Ronin (his brother) doesn’t want him with Lina. In the mince of fighting with his brother about Lina, the demons are faced with deportation back to the Infernum due to being accused of breaking out their father (which is ludicrous since they despised their father). Someone broke out their father and they have no idea why, but things are about to surface on what truly is happening. Dagan and his brothers play a major role of what is going to happen and in the end they will fight their final battle together. Lina is the main female character in the story that won our half-siren, half-demon’s heart and she definitely has had a hard life. The poor woman/angel never felt wanted, so she took to being a mercenary to help take down the evil-Otherworlders that wreak havoc everywhere. Every time Lina’s secrets came forward in Call of the Siren and why she was the way she was, I felt very sympathetic towards her. She had a huge trauma that continuously affected her and made her blame herself for what happened. I wanted to hug her several times in the book. I can definitely say, I adored her character in this book because she was able to finally get some closure, and she became stronger for what she had to go through in Call of the Siren. Dagan was a very sexy half-siren, half-demon that won me over because he was changing his ways due to Lina. He had his hands full though with Ronin (who I wanted to smack around). Ronin was clueless on what was really going on, and it started taking a toll on the love of his life. Ronin…focus on your own love and leave Dagan alone! Dagan deserved happiness and I’m glad he finally received his HEA. Lina didn’t make it easy for him at first, which Dagan definitely need that challenge a bit. Overall, Call of the Siren was a epic conclusion to this series and I’m sad to know that it has officially ended. I loved how Rosalie had everything come together because these brothers deserved some vacation time after what they went through with their leading ladies. =) Be prepared for zombies in the story, fae trying to take over, and lots of fighting between the bad guys and the sexy demons we adore. I give this book 4.5 moons and highly recommend this book and the series to paranormal romance readers out there. I received a complimentary copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review....more
Vampire Trouble is the second book to Sara Humphreys Dead in the City series and it was full of action, romance, and myReview posted Book Lovin' Mamas
Vampire Trouble is the second book to Sara Humphreys Dead in the City series and it was full of action, romance, and mystery. Be prepared for a page turner while reading Vampire Trouble.
Imagine sitting in a line for a couple of hours waiting to go into a signing event (Book Bash) and wanting something to do in the mean time to make the time pass. You ponder if you should just wait to see if your daughter will strike up a conversation with you, but your daughter is in her own world with her iPod playing MineCraft. Just then you realize, I remembered to pack my Kindle in my bag and there is this one book I have been dying to read, but college has made you put it on the back burner. Yup…now was the time to finish it. About 15 minutes before the line started going in for the signing, I managed to finish Vampire Trouble. =) Here’s hoping I didn’t freak out any of the fellow readers around me once I finished the book though. I tend to get over-excited over the ending because I just devoted time with these characters throughout the book, and I was excited to read their HEA. =) Sara didn’t make it easy for them, but she did a darn good job on making the ending PERFECT for Shane and Maya.
Sara Humphreys Vampire Trouble is one book that kept me on the edge of my seat thanks to the characters, Maya and Shane, but the secondary characters as well. I remembered meeting Maya in the first book and was anxious to read about her in Vampire Trouble. Here is when I got to read all about Maya’s past and how she really came to be who she is. She is the rebel of the bunch, but I learned why she was a rebel. I also learned how tough she could be when she needed to be. After reading Vampire Trouble, she has became a favorite female character in the Dead in the City series due to her personality and how she handles Shane. =) (She handled Shane very well) Oh…and let’s not forget the sexy four-century old sentry who won me over in Vampire Trouble. Gosh darn it…can Shane be real! He knows how to do his job as a sentry, but he also know how to romance Maya. *sigh* (He is complete opposite of Doug from Tall, Dark, and Vampire, and the way Sara wrote him…he was very swoon worthy.)
I won’t go into what Vampire Trouble is all about because I definitely don’t want to spoil it for anyone. I will say this, if you haven’t read the first book, you need to and then immediately read this book. You don’t want to miss out on the previous characters that show up in this book. Sara gives us details on what is going on with Olivia and Doug in Vampire Trouble. Sara even throws in additional characters to help Shane and Maya in their dilemma they are dealing with. I LOVED Lottie! She had the best attitude with what was happening, and she made the story really funny at times.
Vampire Trouble is full of humor, action, romance, heartache, and suspense. Sara does an amazing job on keeping a reader turning pages to her stories and Vampire Trouble definitely kept me from going insane in the intense heat of Orlando, FL, while waiting in line.
I give this book 5 full moons and highly recommend it to paranormal romance readers out there.

Oh my!!! I’m still on cloud 9 literally after reading Burning Dawn. Not only because it’s Thane’s book, buBook Review also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
Oh my!!! I’m still on cloud 9 literally after reading Burning Dawn. Not only because it’s Thane’s book, but because Gena did not disappoint at all with the 3rd installment. In fact, Burning Dawn just jumped to be a TOP favorite of Gena’s books and believe me I’ve read her LOTU and Alien Huntress series. Let’s just say it became my second favorite after Darkest Kiss and it’s all because of the couples in these books. I literally had a hard time putting down Burning Dawn and when I had to put it down…I was constantly thinking about it. I’m still thinking about it after finishing it.
Some people say that Gena has been losing her sexy touch to her books lately, but oh….Burning Dawn will prove everyone wrong. Oh it definitely will because hello it’s Thane’s book. Thane is not your typical Sent One because he is what you would call a sex addict. He’s not your typical sex addict though, he needs pain during sex on himself or the women he uses. He has his reasons behind the pain and how Gena opens up Burning Dawn, you’ll just want to continue reading to find out what makes Thane the way he is. When Thane walks into a room, silence falls, immortal women start drooling, and immortal men try not to make eye contact because well, he’s one dangerous, scary, intimidating, sexy assassin. Just thinking about him the way Gena describes him…*sigh* Yup..Thane just became a top favorite book-boyfriend for 2014. I’m jealous Elin won him over. **** Oh…and ladies his “Jumbotron” is pierced and not just in one place. =)
Elin is the lucky gal that wins the heart of Thane in Burning Dawn and she’s perfect for him. The way she meets Thane is during her time at the Phoenix camp that has been using and abusing her due to her being a halfling. She has been through a lot in Burning Dawn and she needs the help of Thane to rescue her from her fate with the Phoenixes, and for her to maybe even get revenge for what was done to her family. Thane though is there trapped as well by another Phoenix who is using him and he’s under her spell. Elin will have to get the courage to help get him out of that spell, and hopefully he will help her and protect her for what is to come. Thane becomes intrigued by Elin after he helps her and he has no idea why. He has never felt this way about any woman before, especially one like Elin. Elin though has to keep a major secret from him otherwise she’ll end up like the Phoenixes that had Thane. (Let’s just say this is when Thane shows is scary side)
Elin’s spunky, feisty, funny personality is complete opposite of Thane, but these two were definitely meant to be. Thane is confused with Elin several times in the book and I don’t think I’ve ever seen this Sent One be confused ever. (LOL) If you’ve read the previous books in the series, you already know how Thane is and he shows another side of himself in Burning Dawn. I didn’t think anyone, but Lucien from Darkest Kiss would win over my heart, but Thane definitely did. He has a horrible past and so does Elin. Poor Elin! For someone like her who went through so much, she is handling it well, but she has the help of Thane, Bjorn, and Xerxes now and Thane’s workers at his club. Elin meets friends that help make her open up more and these immortal gals, I hope to see more of in later books. (They were hilarious together)
Gena gives us the LOTU too in Burning Dawn and she ends up continuing what happened in The Darkest Craving with William in this book. The Sent Ones want to help and LOTU end up helping Thane during something that happens with Bjorn in this book.
I could go on and one about Burning Dawn…but don’t want to spoil it for anyone. Let’s just say this book will definitely keep you turning the pages. The smexy times between Thane and Elin are SCORCHING!!! Oh my! Be prepared to have a cold shower after reading their scenes together. Elin is one lucky gal. (Oh…Elin ends up making Thane beg…hehe) Gotta love a gal who can make a Sent One succumb to begging. She evens leaves him wanting more. =)
Gena’s writing style is addicting to read because of how she is able to keep up with all her characters, manage a dramatic action-packed storyline, and pull together two characters with some very HOT moments together. I have no idea how she does it because she has so many characters to keep up with and she manages to pull in other characters from another series into the mix. Let’s just say she is friggin’ amazing with it all. I adore everything about her Angels of the Dark series, and look forward to reading more Sent Ones who they end up with. I definitely need Xerxes, Bjorn, and Axel’s books. (especially Axel)
One last thing….the ending of this book was EPIC! Gena put these characters through bloodshed, tears, torture, and a lot more that throughout the book, but that ending. Yeah…be prepared to go through hell with the characters due to your emotions going haywire for them. Poor Bjorn has his own drama in this book that you will want to pay attention to.
I give this book 5 full moons and highly recommend it to paranormal romance readers out there. You must read the first two books first before reading this one. I would even recommend reading the LOTU series. There is reasons behind it at all due to how Gena is able to mix her two series together.

Blood Vine is the first book to Amber Belldene’s Blood Vine Trilogy, and I loved every bit of this book when I was readReview posted Book Lovin' Mamas
Blood Vine is the first book to Amber Belldene’s Blood Vine Trilogy, and I loved every bit of this book when I was reading it. We have a tortured hero who is driven to getting his family back together, and a workaholic heroine who is clueless to who she actually works with and for.
The hero Andre won my heart from the beginning of how he loved his family, and would do anything to get them all back together again. He’s tortured from what happened to his previous love still and he is determined to not have the past happen again. Although, he is going to have a hard time controlling the promise to himself because of the woman who is there to help him get a message to the rest of his kind.
Zoey is thrown into the world of the Vampires and Hunters, and she has no idea what is about to happen. She is supposed to work with Andre and his sons with their new wine, and getting it designed and out there, but she’s having difficulty doing her job. Andre was the almost one night stand so many years ago and those years ago she was able to walk away from him. She’s afraid she won’t be able this time. She’s still tortured by what happened to her husband so many years ago, so she’s afraid to fall in love again.
Here is one reason (out of many), I adored Blood Vine…a tortured hero and heroine come together. I love when stories have the hero and heroine that are connected in someway. Sometimes it’s a happy connection, but in this case it’s not. They both have suffered from their pasts and they both try to resists each other. I loved how Amber never made it easy for these two, even when I was secretly rooting for them to finally give in. They were both stubborn in their own ways. In between Andre and Zoey dealing with their dilemmas, there was the issue of the hunters trying to ruin what Andre and his sons were trying to do.
Amber did a spectacular job with world-building and characterizing each character in the story. She immediately opens up the story with some of the background of what happened between the vampires and hunters, and why they are the vampires have been hiding. The storyline behind the vampires and hunters is what kept me turning the pages because it wasn’t something I had never read before. I was even intrigued to find out a little something about the hunters that the vampires didn’t know, until they found out from something that happened in the book.
Another reason why I adored this book so much is because Andre and his kind are originally from Croatia. One of the many countries I got to visit, while I served in the Navy. This book made me realize I need to visit there again because it was such a beautiful country to visit, and it also made me miss the wine and coffee there. =) Oh…let’s not forget the most important part of the story is about the wine that Zoey has to help with. I loved reading about the details of the wine and story behind the vampires getting involved in it.
I give this book 5 full moons and highly recommend it to paranormal romance readers out there. Warning: This book may have you drinking a glass of wine, while reading it…but in my case it was definitely something I didn’t mind. My husband even poured me a glass, while he saw me reading this book at night. =)...more
WARNING – This book will have you crying…so if you decide to read this out and about, be prepared to have the tReview also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
WARNING – This book will have you crying…so if you decide to read this out and about, be prepared to have the tissues next to you. I thought I get that out there before I even typed my review of Immortal Hunter because certain scenes made me cry.
In the second book of the Execution Underground series, we have the demon exorcist David Aronowitz trying to do his job at EU, while also worrying about his past love who got hurt in the previous book (Twilight Hunter). He never thought he would see her again after she walked out on him 5 years ago. (So if you haven’t read Twilight Hunter, you will definitely want to read the first book before this one.…Certain events happened that Kait Ballenger will have the characters continue with…one month after.)
What I loved most about Immortal Hunter – 1) David and Allsún were best friends before they were lovers and they used to hunt demons together. (My favorite kind of couple will always be the ones who have been friends forever before they become a couple. Maybe because I married my best friend) =) 2) Another thing I loved about Immortal Hunter was the fact that David read romances. Hey…any guy that can sit down and read a romance novel…wins me over completely. My own husband won’t dare read romance. (I’m a little curious on what was on David’s bookshelves, and what was his favorite romance book so far that he read) 3) How Kait wrote certain scenes very detailed, even when they tended to make me cringe at times. I think I had nightmares over certain scenes. (Readers may find certain scenes disturbing, but for a reader like me, I wanted to solve the case right along with the characters. I wanted the characters to kick the killer’s butt)
In the book, readers will find out David and Allsún’s relationship from the past to the present and what drove them apart. Their relationship 5 years ago turned upside down, when Allsún found out something about David that made her walk away from their love. David didn’t find out the truth on what happened that day until much later in the book. Here’s the thing that bothered me with Allsún because I believe she could have told David the truth. He would have reacted a different way then Allsún expected. David was such a sweet, protective, caring guy who loved his fiancée very much. Even when she walked out of his life 5 years ago, he still could not hide his feelings for her. Allsún though after reading what happened to her…I just wanted to go through the book and hug her and comfort her. (Just thinking about it…makes me want to hug her even more. I have to remind myself she’s fictional.)
Kait Ballenger gave us an action-packed paranormal romance tale that pushed buttons and may make the readers cringe at times. I know I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what was going to happen next, and if the characters would finally find out what was going on with the killings.
I give this book 4.5 moons and highly recommend it to paranormal romance readers out there. I highly recommend you read Shadow Hunter and Twilight Hunter first though. You don’t want to miss out on this series. Kait Ballenger’s Execution Underground series is one series that has you constantly turning the pages to find out what is going to happen next in the story.
Oh…and can I just say I look forward to Shane’s story. =)

This is a very different werewolf story. Jessica McClain is the only female werewolf shifter of her kind, but she cannot shift. The male werewolves believe she is a curse to their kind and they either want to harm he or kill her. Most of them want her dead, except for a select few and one of them being her father, who is trying to protect her. Jessica challenges one of the shifters that hate her to prove herself, but she ends up putting herself in danger even more. Until one day her father is forced to accept Jessica's offer to leave the compound, after she is brutally attacked by one werewolf who wants her dead after she challenged another.
Jessica is one kick butt female who knows how to take care of herself. She's trying everything to live in a world of males who hate her and she is trying to prove to everyone she can take care of herself. Her father is in denial on what is going on in his compound. She has been trying to tell him and his second command that she's no longer safe at the compound.
Amanda Carlson gives you a short novella that is full of action, blood, and humor. She gives you a female who can outwit and challenge the best alpha males out there. She may even scare you with how strong and determined she is...I know I was intimidated and she's only a fictional character. I loved this prequel of Jessica McClain and look forward to reading "Full Blooded" even more now. If you are a fan of Urban Fantasy and want to read about a kick butt heroine that challenges her werewolf kind with strength and wits...then you'll enjoy this short novella from Amanda Carlson. I believe I have found a female heroine who may be my TOP fave kick butt heroine since I started reading the urban fantasy genre. Look forward to reading more of Jessica McClain's story....more

"Redemption" picks up from where "Revelation" left off and Erica Hayes gives us two characters who are disgraced due to what they did in their pasts and keep doing in their present.
Japheth, otherwise known as one of the Tainted is trying to redeem himself and by redeeming himself, he hopes to make it back in heaven. For him to do that, he must find himself a demon vampire that is wreaking havoc in Babylon and is known as the Angel Slayer. He also must do what the Archangel Michael wants as well, and the demon vampire can actually help him conquer that mission. Although, the demon vampire known as Rose Harley has other plans. She never wanted to be a vampire, but it is kind of hard when the Prince of the Vampires makes her be the way she is. She did the unthinkable when she turned and she has never forgiven herself. When she meets Japheth, she cannot help but try to keep her feelings at bay with him. He is much different than other heavenly warriors. Japheth is supposed to kill hellspawn like Rose, but he cannot. He uses her to help him find her master, but he also is trying to convince himself that she can be helped. In the meantime, the other Tainted are tackling another demon who has a vial and if they do not get it, they will have even more trouble on their hands.
This is a story of two characters who are trying to redeem themselves, but in different ways. They are trying to fight their feelings for each other, but it is kind of hard when they are so much alike. Erica Hayes gives you a world of warrior angels that are protecting Earth from the demons taking over. Although, their job is never easy, especially when some of the warriors believe their boss may be letting the demons run course without being taken care of fast enough.
I had such a better connection with Japheth and Rose in this story than the first characters in the first book. I felt more sympathy for Japheth because what he went through in "Revelation" and this story made me heart him more. He may have some bad qualities because he believed he did, but he redeemed himself in the best way in this book. He fought for what he wanted, even when he thought he was doing wrong. He did not want to give up on Rose. =) Rose was such a evil character at first, but when her story came out, she broke my heart. The poor girl had did the unthinkable and I believe she definitely needed to be redeemed. She even put Japheth in his place several times, which made me love her more. The only thing that kept me from giving this book even more moons, was that it started off slow, but when it started picking up, I was turning the pages to find out what happened next. Oh...the ending is the doozy...because I have no idea what to think about two characters now....Michael and now Gabriel, who plays a minor part in this book. I'm a little confused, but to me that is a good thing. The very ending had me in shock though. I had my mouth open in shock, literally. Erica I was definitely not expecting that at all. I definitely look forward to the next book even more. I must find out what happens next. =) I give this book 4 full moons and highly recommend it to urban fantasy and paranormal readers out there. I LOVED this! I finished it in less than 2 hours or maybe less as soon as my youngest went to bed. I loved thisReview also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
I LOVED this! I finished it in less than 2 hours or maybe less as soon as my youngest went to bed. I loved this world that both Alexandra Ivy and Laura Wright created. Hello...it's based in Louisiana (in the bayou), which has Sexy Men that turn into Pumas, and of course those puma men who have magic to them as well....why would you not want to read this. Plus...you have two amazing authors who come together to create it and there is more e-novella's to be told after this one. Oh YES...as soon as I saw it was on Amazon, I bought it and drained my Kindle Fire battery dry.
- I'm typing up this review kind of different from my others because I do not want to give away anything since both stories are short. (so not much explaining the storyline) -
The first part, "Raphael" is from the fabulous author, Alexandra Ivy, where she opens it up with the mystery of the half human, half feline creatures that live in the Bayou and how people avoided the areas due to the fact how enticing creatures were. Unfortunately, they are believed to be a myth because it seems the race is unable to birth any children. The shape shifters reverted to sending out their own kind pass the bayou to find out what could be the cause.
Alexandra Ivy definitely had me from the first page when I was reading her half of the book. I also happened to need a very cold shower after her half as well. Wow! She put some really steamy, sexy scenes in that novella. She definitely introduced the puma race very well and their dilemma and she definitely wrote two characters who had the hots for each other and needed each other. Raphael was very protective of Ashe even when he hardly knew her. I look forward to Alexandra Ivy's next part in the next book. =) The woman can definitely make a reader imagine she's in the story with the characters.
The second part, "Parish" is by another fabulous author, Laura Wright and she definitely did not disappoint either. She picked it up from the ending of "Raphael", but of course with the leader of the Hunters, Parish, sent on a mission to retrieve someone they needed for Ashe and Raphael. The moment Parish finds her, he knows he must have her.
Laura Wright did an amazing job transitioning from picking up from Raphael and putting the previous characters in her story, as well giving Parish and Julia their story. I LOVED it! Of course, Laura put together two characters that were stubborn at first, they had their reasons though, but they were meant to be with each other and help each other out. She definitely left a cliffhanger at the end as well that made me want more. I need the next book now after reading this book because both authors definitely created a fave series for this year for me.
I recommend this book to paranormal romance and shapeshifter readers out there. If you are a feline shapeshifter addicted like I am, you definitely will enjoy this world that Alexandra Ivy and Laura Wright have created. Just be prepared to want more though. I know I need some more SEXY Pumas!!! =) If you have not added this book to your to be read list yet (SHAME on you) ... you are missing out from two amazing Authors. ...more

The last installment to the Angels Among Us Trilogy was full of emotions, action, and very steamy scenes. It definitely ended the Angels Among Us books very well and also opened up a new installment that I know Elise Marion will make us love just like she did with the Angels.
Nathaniel was a Warrior Angel at one time, until he fell in love and made the mistake of pursing that love. He knew that he should not have fallen for the beautiful woman he met while dancing. He knew his actions would lead him losing his wings forever and becoming one of the Fallen. He could not stop his feelings for the beautiful woman though who captured his heart and now she needs his help more than ever...but he has been dealing with 7 years of not turning into the demon that he made himself become. Carmen Rodriguez has been trying to move on with her life with her son who is Nathaniel's. She did not know that one night of passion would give her such an amazing son who now has Guardians looking after him since demons want her son to help them in their battle. Her son is going to be one very powerful Naphil (half angel/half human). His Guardians who are Sarah and Jackson will do about anything to keep himself. He even has a Warrior Angel by the name of Reniel to keep him safe as well. Unfortunately, they were not prepared for what the demon who wants him for himself to open a portal and steal him in minced a battle. Now...Nathaniel has to help his past love to find their son and bring him back...and also help Carmen with her Oracle powers that she is still trying to learn.
I could go on in the description of the book, but I will give too much away. This is the final installment so I definitely do not want to give it away. Elise Marion definitely made the Angels Among Us go out with a bang. She also picked the perfect characters to finish the trilogy as well. She even brought in previous characters from "Tempted" since they played a vital role in this book. Can I just say...I love Reniel from the previous book and now this book even more. =) I felt a very close connection with the character, Carmen, since she is one strong female who can handle anything and she will do anything to get her son back. Nathaniel who had me fighting his demon from taking over was amazing as well. He fought the hardest of them all because he did not want to become what Lucifer wanted him to be. The ending was epic and I definitely look forward to the spin-off series even more after getting a small glimpse into it at the end of "Redemption". I was wondering since there was questions at the end that needed to be answered. Even the angels said there's more going on that needs to be finished. Angels Among Us, just introduced us to three angels who fell in love and how they were able to live their lives with their loved ones. There's a battle now that needs to be conquered...or should I say battles.
Elise Marion definitely did not disappoint in the last book and it definitely had me crying as well. I love her writing style since it is very descriptive, powerful, and emotional. If you have not read this trilogy yet, what are you waiting for. Warning though, you will miss the Angels after your done reading all 3 books.
I was provided a complimentary copy of "Redemption" from the Author in exchange for an honest review. ...more
When a book involves Angels and Demons...I am always up to reading it and I am glad I found "Death is a Bitch"Review also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
When a book involves Angels and Demons...I am always up to reading it and I am glad I found "Death is a Bitch" through FMB Blog Tours. I also have found another Author, who sucked me into the story from the beginning to the very end.
"Death is a Bitch" is about Death, who is an Angel, who collects everyones souls once they are about to pass away. She has a very tiring job and sometimes it is hard to really find some down time. Azrael, who is another Angel, that works closely to Death sometimes, has never really fell in love before until he gets one night of passion with Death that makes him crave her even more. Death even starts having feelings for the sexy, Azrael, that she is having a hard time forgetting him as well. All of a sudden, Death is dealing with her past again with one soul that escapes Tatarus, thanks to the demon, Damian, who has an hidden agenda with helping King Sisyphus. Damian has always had it bad for Death, and to prevent her happiness with Azrael, he will do anything to get Death to himself...even lie to Azrael.
"Death is a Bitch" is a very entertaining book about Heaven and Hell and how it is never a good thing to mess with Death because she always gets her justice in the end. It may take her awhile, but when she does...there is no looking back. It also helps when she has strong parents who have connections themselves to help her out. Azrael is one sexy Angel who definitely captured my interest the minute he was described. He did piss me off during a part of the book. He believed a lie about Death and he should have known better.
Cate Masters definitely has a fan now after reading this book and I plan reading more of her books real soon. I loved her writing style and I definitely loved her take on Angels and Demons.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves the paranormal romance genre and loves reading about Angels and Demons. You'll definitely enjoy this take on the "Grim Reaper", who is Death, and her sexy love interest, Azrael. You'll probably even like the bad guy as well, Damian. I did feel kind of sorry for him...just a little bit. In the end though, he got what he deserved.

Gena Showalter has done it again, she has made me fall in love with her characters again and fallen in love witReview also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
Gena Showalter has done it again, she has made me fall in love with her characters again and fallen in love with a book I had a hard time putting down.
"Beauty Awakened" is the second installment to the Angels of the Dark series and it definitely was worth every month, day, minute, and second to wait for it. I literally fell in love with Koldo from the first page and felt for him even though I know he is fictional, but to me, he came to life due to the way Gena writes her stories.
Koldo has literally never been loved. His mother hated him since the day he was conceived and his father tortured him the minute his mother gave him up to his father. His mother was the one who took his beautiful wings from him and his father put him situations where he had to do things he was ashamed of. Ever since his hatred toward both of his parents, he has chosen to take revenge on his mother and hoped he killed his father when he did. He has craved to be just like the other Sent Ones, but he believes he has been punished for what he has done in his past thanks to what his parents endured him to do. The minute he comes across Nicola, his life is about to change. He will learn that love does exist and he is capable of positive things. Nicola has been suffering with the darkness around her since the beginning. Her twin, Laila is dying at the hospital and Nicola is not far behind. When she is given another chance at life and saving her sister's life, she chooses to let the light in, instead of the dark. She knew something was making her feel sick, but never knew what it was, until she comes across the sexy stranger who she talks to in the elevator. Koldo chooses to help Nicola because he is intrigued with her. He will have to teach her about keeping positive and thinking about only things that will heal her, instead of harm her. Unfortunately, darkness has it out for Nicola and Laila and they will do everything in their power to have them.
I loved every bit of this book, the minute I read the first page. How Gena can make you go through so many emotions at once. The child Koldo to the adult Koldo made me feel so much for him and how I wanted to comfort him and tell him it would be okay. What he had went through and continued to go through, he stole my heart. He definitely was destined to meet Nicola and how he could help her as well as she could help him. Nicola was such a strong female character as well in the story. She chose to fight back and not sit and let darkness eat at her. She chose to help her sister through the darkness, but it had to be Laila that accepted it. Nicola even made me laugh on how she handled Koldo. She definitely made him realize what love is.
Between what Koldo is dealing with and Nicola, there is also the issue of what is happening with other Sent Ones. Thane has his background story in this book and what is going with him. We get more of a taste of Bjorn and Xerxes. We even get a taste of Axel who happens to be a womanizer....but he seriously had me laughing with his personality.
Here's one of my fave quotes from Axel: "Fair enough, since I wasn't really interested. But I gotta say, I am so proud right now." Axel flattened his hand over his hear. "You borrowed my patented move, proving I'm made of more than awesome. I'm awesalicious. Is that a word? It's probably a girl word, but who cares! Seriously. Do you see a tear in my eye? Because I'm pretty sure I feel one."
Awesalicious...seriously that is my NEW fave word. =)
Oh...and if you want a little LOTU action...well...you'll get just a taste. Another thing I enjoy is how Gena mingles stories together and prepares you for what is next. She even gives you clues on a certain character that we definitely want to know more about.
If you haven't read any books from Gena Showalter yet, what are you waiting for? If you have, then you definitely need to pick up this copy of "Beauty Awakened". Gena Showalter does not follow in trends, she makes her mark in her own way. She dominates the paranormal romance genre and this spin-off series, proves to me that she definitely knows how to take it to the next level. She will forever be a FAVE Author of mine and I am definitely looking forward to the next installment in this series, and even more now the LOTU series.
Seriously...Gena...you need to be named Queen of Paranormal Romance Genre already.
You have a fan for life and here's counting down to your next story. =)...more

"The Monster Within" is the first book from Lola Rayne and after reading it, I'm ready for the second book already. Nicole Jone's for years has been having a great life, trying to forget about her past, until one day, she gets a call from her worst nightmare. Someone she thought was dead is now out to get here. She's all upset about it...and when she tries to go home the same day, she ends up passing out in front of a stranger, she thought could be the person who wants her. Instead, it is just someone she bumped into by accident and he was following her to make she was not in danger and to keep an eye on her. Gideon, never thought he would run into his beautiful woman and follow her. When she passes out in front of him, she knows something is wrong with her, so he takes her home to keep her safe. Gideon is not your normal person though because inside of him, is a monster that wants to claim Nicole as his and keep her safe with him. He knows that Nicole is his mate and his other self recognized her from the beginning when he followed her. He is determine find out what made Nicole all upset that day she passed out in front him and he will do anything to protect her. What Gideon does not realize though is, he will have to protect himself as well, when it comes to Nicole's past coming back to haunt her. My thoughts on "Monster Within" was it was a really great start to Lola Rayne's Mounting Darkness Series. The characters she created had great chemistry and I was able to click with them very well. Nicole kicked butt and Gideon kind of scared the crap out of me when I found out what he really was and what he was made to do. There was some very steamy, erotic moments between Nicole and Gideon in the book, so be prepared to maybe take a cold shower afterwards. (Yes...Lola wrote some sexy, steamy scenes) It was a short novella and only had touched a little bit and I felt it could have been more...but in the end I was really happy with what happened. Lola did leave me hanging at the end. I definitely want to know what will happen next, especially since Nicole and Gideon found out something else that I'm really curious about. I recommend this book to paranormal romance readers out there and for readers who loves reading short novellas. "The Monster Within" definitely was a great start to one amazing, sexy, paranormal romance series. Currently the book is only $0.99 at Amazon. =) ...more

I am a HUGE fan of Terry Spear's Heart of the Wolf series, ever since I came across the first three books in the series at a used book store, I have been obsessed with her shifter stories. When she announced she was going to write a Jaguar shifter series, I definitely was excited. I had never read a Jaguar shifter series before and now was my chance to.
Jaguar Fever is the second book in the Heart of the Jaguar series. This time it is with Maya Anderson from Savage Hunger and Wade Patterson, who happens to have saved her family before. He is in the Anderson's neck of the woods to find the hunters that are hunting down Jaguars. He is about of a Special Forces groups of Jaguar Shifters that keep other shifters from going crazy, keeping them safe, and making sure their secret never is known by the humans. Maya is not looking for a relationship, but the minute Wade is there trying to gain her attention, she's going to have a hard time keeping her feelings at bay. Maya, her brother and his wife are about to get caught up in the crossfire between the hunters and the Special Forces. When they find out, who is behind it all on hunting down Jaguars they will want to help Wade and his team out as much as they can.
I loved that Maya finally got her mate in Jaguar Fever and Connor, her brother finally let go over the reigns on her (kind of) when Maya did branch out. He was not ready for it, but thank goodness for Kat, who reassured him. Kat also reassured Maya that not every man was like her father was. She should give Wade a chance.
Terry Spear has a way with her wolves and I can tell after reading the second book in the Jaguar shifter books, that she definitely knows her jaguars too. She does her research, which makes the Jaguars like they are in the wild or in the zoo, which is one of many reasons why I adore her writing style.
I love Terry's wolves, but the Jaguars shifters in this book, just did not grasp me like her wolves do all the time. Don't get me wrong, I liked Maya, but she tended to be stubborn and not trusting males due to what her father did to her mother and it made me question on why her father did what he did. Wade was just not my favorite male character, but that is because he tended to be trying to get in trouble with Connor, Maya's brother. Don't mess with the brother. I also felt some parts of Jaguar Fever were rushed when reading it, especially when it came to the ending, but other than that the book was a very enjoyable read. I actually finished it in less than one day. I did like the twist at the end with the other jaguar because I was not expecting that at all. I was more intrigued by David when he was introduced. David is Wade's brother and well...let's just say...there is something about him, that makes me want to read his book. He was able to push Wade into finally realizing what he wanted from Maya. He also liked to push Wade when it came to making him jealous. He definitely was my favorite in the story. I give this book 4 full moons and do recommend it to paranormal romance readers out there, especially readers, who have a thing for steamy, hot Jaguar shifters.
I look forward to reading the next book in the Heart of the Jaguar series...here's hoping it is David. =)

"Hainted" is my first actual M/M paranormal book to ever read and it definitely won't be my last from this genre. I also will be reading more books from Jordan L. Hawk since I love her writing style and the male heroes she creates into her books. Dan has given up everything to come back home from college to take care of his brother and sister since his mother had passed away from doing what she did best and that was haint-working. His father didn't want to help take care of his brother and sister and eventually passed away as well. Now it has been Dan and his two siblings for awhile now, trying to make ends meet with their farm in North Carolina. When a handsome stranger in a Porsche pulls up to their house looking for Dan's mother, Dan has to decide if he wants to get back to what his Mom taught him a long time ago. Because Leif, the stranger who Dan is feeling attracted to has a HUGE problem which involves a powerful necromancer who is after him and after what is in Dan's town. It is up to Dan and Leif to find the evil necromancer before something happens to the people in the town.
The book synopsis above gives a great explanation what to expect about the book and it definitely persuaded me to read it and that is why I am glad I decided to be apart of the blog tour. It took me a few days to read "Hainted" but that is because I had other things that took precedence over reading. After reading "Hainted", I definitely want to read more from the M/M paranormal genre and also find out more about the author, Jordan L. Hawk. I fell in love with both male characters. I always adore reading about opposites attracting and Dan and Leif are definitely opposites. Here it is, Dan is a farm boy and Leif is a goth, but they both were meant to meet each other. Dan needed Leif and vice versa. They both completed each other. Dan made me mad though since he kept his sexual status hidden from everyone in town. He had a old girlfriend try everything that just would not get the hint that he was not interested and he led her along, until of course something happened and she got hurt in the process. (Although, the girl drove me crazy as well...especially what she did after she found out) Poor Dan. =( Leif, was hiding something Dan and his family as well, and he made me mad when he went into town because he could not stop thinking about Dan at first and he found out about the girl. They should have talked it out. Dan's brother Virgil also pinched my nerve just a bit. He was your typical teenage boy though and just did not know how to handle Dan being his guardian and what Dan kept hidden. The storyline of "Hainted" flowed really well and I definitely enjoyed it. If your a fan of the M/M paranormal genre, you will definitely want to check out "Hainted". Jordan L. Hawk will have you fall in love with the characters. Be warned though, they're moments you will need tissues. I know I did towards the end. ...more
I'm beginning to wonder if Gabrielle Bisset loves to make people cry...because this book definitely was aBook Review also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
I'm beginning to wonder if Gabrielle Bisset loves to make people cry...because this book definitely was a tear jerker. Oh boy...was the water works happening when I was reading this book. Terek, is one of the Sons of Navarus, and he is one vampire who definitely takes his siring very seriously. He has sired over thousands of new vampires. Some of the vampires live under one of his households that he frequently visits. One night, he comes across another vampire biting a human and then he witnesses the vampire being staked by a hunter. The girl who was bitten is left for dead and it is up to Terek to save her, so he takes her back and sires her instead. She is not a typical woman though. Ilona, was just leaving from a party when she ends up getting herself into a dilemma. Now, she's a vampire and is forced to feed from Terek. She does not want to cooperate at all. She's not taking to the whole entire vampire thing all too well. She just wants to die. Terek of course, has never given up on any of his vampires he has sired and he will not give up on her. He has his other female vampires who are helping him with her while he helps out with the other Sons of Navarus. The Archon, who are hunting the Sons of Navarus are now going after vampires they think are the Sons of Navarus and they also are attacking the vampires the brothers have sired. It's up to the Sons of Navarus to find out what the prophecy really means for the Order (no spoiler...sorry...not giving away anything...If you want to find out more, you need to read this book).
Let me just say this, between Vasilije and what he had to ordeal in this book (the first Son of Navarus in "Blood Avenged") and Terek and what he had to go through with his vampires. I had a hard time not crying. I felt my heart hurt for both Vasilije and Terek. And don't get me started what Vasilije put Sasa through. Grrrrr!!! Can I just say...I love Thane in this book and how he stepped up to do what he did. He had every right to help out a friend in need. My favorite parts in the book were when I learned more about the background of Terek. Seriously, he is not a vampire to mess with. That man can kill you in an instant. Do not mess with his family! He has gone through so much, I do not know how he handled it so well. He did finally have Ilona to help him through some of it. She is definitely perfect for him. Ilona was a little difficult at first, until she finally gave in to Terek. (Ummm...who can resist him though?...I wouldn't be able to)
Gabrielle does an amazing job on putting a reader through so many emotions at once. She definitely is one amazing writer and she definitely has a fan for life. I look forward to reading the rest of the Sons Navarus books. I'm telling you now, if you haven't read these books, you really need to. If you're a fan of paranormal erotic romance, and love vampires, you will love these books. Do not forget the tissues though because you will be crying especially in this book. I give Terek's book 5 moons...and he definitely gets a little piece of my heart, but Saint has my full heart still...until maybe Thane or Dante's book. (Those two...I need to know more about) =) ...more
"Caressed by a Crimson Moon" is the third installment to the Rulers of Darkness and it is about Hadrian LucretiReview also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
"Caressed by a Crimson Moon" is the third installment to the Rulers of Darkness and it is about Hadrian Lucretius and Eve Maldonado. Hadrian is the King of the Validus Clan, but he denounced his claim to the throne when he went mad after killing his twin brother, Titus. Now he is back to become ruler again and to do that, he has to control the demon inside that has plagued him since the dreadful night that he chose to take a life instead of save it. His second in command, Falcon goes to Brazil to claim their ward from the Silveria Shifter Pack that they made in a treaty with them. Instead of getting a full-blown shifter, they choose to give them their half-breed who they have treated poorly since the day her father, the alpha, kidnapped her from her home. Eva Maldonado is glad to leave her father and his pack, but she's not sure what to think about her temporary home in a castle with a mad and crazed vampire. The minute she comes in contact with him, he is all she can think of. For some reason she is drawn to him and vice versa. Hadrian is trying everything to come his feelings for the half-breed, but she is unique and he is determined to find out why he wants her. The truth of what she really is, makes him realize why the alpha wanted to keep her hidden and also why her mother never told her she was. Now he has to make a choice to save her for what she is to become or watch her die a painful death.
Amanda J. Greene gives another gripping tell of two lovers who need each other to survive. Hadrian has been dealing with his inner demon for so long, he needed someone to tell him, he is so much more than a terrible person and to let go of his past. Eva needed someone to save her and realize the truth on what she is. Both characters were determined though to fight their urges...but Hadrian was more stubborn than Eva. In fact, I adored Eva more than I did Hadrian in the story. Eva was a strong female character who spoke her mind and was determined to fight for what she wanted. Hadrian needed some guidance along the way. I'm glad though, he had his second in command, Falcon to help him on certain matters. He needed someone else to realize his potential of being a great rule of his kind. I love how Amanda ties in the previous characters from the first two books and also gives you potential characters who deserve to have their own stories as well. I was really intrigued with Queen Sonya and Falcon from the previous book and how they have been fighting feelings for each other, but now I am more curious with Silvie and Gannon. I love also how Amanda keeps the paranormal creatures for what they really should be like, dark, twisted, and evil at times...but they still have a very romantic and caring soul as well, especially when it comes to the person they love. The ending was really quick especially when it came to Hadrian claiming his place back, but Amanda gives you a cliffhanger at the end and makes you want more. I look forward to reading who gets their next story in the Rulers of Darkness. I give this book 4.5 moons and highly recommend it to paranormal romance readers out there. You could read the first two as standalone, but I definitely recommend you read in order. You will love each of the characters and want to find out how they got their happily ever after also....more
I had to hold off on reading "Caressed by Night" because of being bogged down with other books...but I had to mReview also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
I had to hold off on reading "Caressed by Night" because of being bogged down with other books...but I had to make time for it since the third book came out last month. I love this series from Amanda J. Greene. Amanda's "Rulers of Darkness" novels captivate you from the first page to the last page. Her world of vampires are sexy, dangerous, and very protective of their heroines.
In "Caressed by Night", Amanda takes us into modern day Las Vegas, unlike "Caressed by Moonlight" which was in the 1800s London timeframe. Dimitri Arsov, King of the Arsov Clan, is back from the dead, at least everyone thought he was dead, but he fooled everyone until he was ready to announce he has always been alive. He has been waiting patiently until the right moment to get his revenge, while also finding his mate. She's alive in present day Las Vegas and he will stop at nothing to have her. He has waited for her for centuries. Now he must save her before she is killed. Kerstyn Ingmar's life was very predictable until the night her best friend chose her boyfriend's words over hers. Now she has to start over and find a place to live and work. Dimitri the stranger who saved her one night is going to save her again, but this time he will introduce her to his world. Kerstyn never thought the creatures of the night were real until Dimitri tells her what is actually out there. Dimitri must keep Kerstyn safe otherwise his visions of her death will come true. He will ask his vampire friends to help him and also a witch who happens to be Kerstyn's best friend.
"Caressed by Night" goes further into the Rulers of Darkness series and how vampires are everywhere among the humans. They are trying to get back their clans the way they used to be by having the real rulers come back into power. In "Caressed by Night", we have Dimitri's enemy that is living a lie because he believed he killed Dimitri and Dimitri will do anything to knock him off that pedestal. I was a little confused at first because when I read "Caressed by Moonlight" it was set in the 1800s and I did not realize until about mid-way that "Caressed by Night" was based in modern day. One thing that definitely intrigued me was howAmanda brought back previous characters into the storyline and how they are doing now in modern day, Dorian and Victoria, two characters who stole my heart in the first book. Dimitri is one sexy and powerful vampire king who definitely won me over. He had his moments though where he was over-protective, but for someone who sees visions of what is to come, I would be over protective as well. My favorite character was Kerstyn though in this story. She had gone through a lot and still managed to be strong. She even put Dimitri in his place every once in awhile. She was also able to accept Dimitri's world and was happy to know the truth about him and his friends.
This seriously is probably one of my top fave vampire series that I have read since I started reading like crazy in 2009. I love Amanda's writing and how she makes vampires not those sweet and sparkly kind. She makes them powerful, dark, and commanding and I look forward to the next book in the series.
If you like your vampires like they are supposed to be, then you should check out this series from Amanda J. Greene.
I give this book 4.5 moons and highly recommend it to paranormal romance readers and vampire lovers out there....more

Okay...move over Vasilije because I have a new Sons of Navarus Vampire that I LOVE!!! Meet Saint, otherwise known as Declan Collins. He's nicknamed Saint due to the fact he has been only with human females for awhile now. He gave up vampire women a long time ago, when a certain vampire female broke his heart. Saint is the next on the hit list for the Archons. The Archons want him dead not only because of him being a Son of Navarus, but for other reasons that even his other fellow vampires do not understand. The one to protect him and keep him hidden for awhile, is the one and only who broke his heart a long time ago, Solenne. She knows he has never forgiven her for what she did, but she just wants to help keep him alive. She has never stopped loving him and the time she broke his heart was for a good reason...at least that is what she thought because of a certain person threatening her. Now Saint has to fight his urge of being with Solenne again because the female vamp keeps intruding in his thoughts when he's trying to make love to human female or even think of another female. Solenne, also has to deal with Saint's new ways and all she wants to do, is give herself over to him like vampires always do. My thoughts on Blood Betrayed were of course that I LOVED EVERY minute of it. I had a hard time putting it down. I clicked with both characters right away. Saint because of his past with Solenne and Solenne because she was trying everything to get back with Saint even if she had to help him with his human female addiction problem. The kicker to the story is, not only the Archons trying to kill Saint, but what Solenne has to do to keep Saint safe and the one person who can ruin everything between Solenne and Saint again. I was on the edge of my seat when it came to Solenne and Saint. I had to keep turning the pages to find out what happened next to the characters. It was a big doozy when the truth finally came out. I felt terrible for both Solenne and Saint. ( I won't spoil the storyline though for anyone who wants to read this book ). Oh..and Vasilije and Sasa appear in this book as well as other characters. I'm really wanting to find out about Dante. =) I highly recommend this book to paranormal romance readers, erotica readers, and vampire lovers out there. This book will take you on a roller coster of emotions though. Be prepared for some hot sex scenes, sad scenes, and scenes that will make you want to slap someone around. Grrr...I was so mad on what actually happened between Solenne and Saint. Oh...and don't even get me started on what Saint had to deal with in the beginning of it all. Gabrielle Bisset definitely knows how to get a reader's emotions going like crazy. Fore warning though...be prepared to take some really cold showers after reading the sex scenes. Saint definitely knows how to take care of a female just like Vasilije did ...maybe a little better though. =) ...more

I finished "Vampire Revamped Dreams" within a couple of hours because I had a hard time putting down my Kindle. =) Brandon has been lonely for centuries now. All he wants it to sire his own vampire, but his sire, Vasilije, will not let him. Every time Brandon brings him a possible one he wants to sire, Vasilije tells him 'No'. Brandon has no idea why Vasilije will not let him sire and he is determined to find at least one that he eventually can. Arden, who is running for her life one night comes across Brandon. He makes her a offer that she cannot refuse because he saves her life from another vampire who wanted to suck her dry. Brandon could not let that happen to her. She becomes his maid, but in the mean time she has no idea what her duties are. Brandon of course thinks she's doing a fine job of her duties. He is determined to make Arden a vampire and to sire her, but he has to ask Vasilije for permission first. Brandon knows if Vasilije says no about Arden, he will throw a fit. He knows she is different from the others because the minute he saw her, he had feelings for her. My thoughts on "Vampire Revamped Dreams" and story of Brandon and Arden...are that I LOVED every minute of reading it. Like I stated before, I had a hard time putting down my Kindle. I told my hubby to leave me alone for awhile so I can finish the book. (And of course he listened) =) So far the pre-quel has me intrigued with the storyline that Gabrielle has created for her vampires. I love Vasilije even when he was being difficult to Brandon, but he had his reasons. Brandon is such a gentleman to Arden, especially when he takes her into his house and takes care of her. Oh...and when it comes to the bedroom with Brandon. Wow!! It is every woman's fantasy to have a sexy man come into their life who can seduce in the right ways, like Brandon does to Arden. I really enjoyed the prequel and look forward to diving into Vasilije's book next. Yes...he definitely made an impact in my life the minute he was introduced in this book. I look forward to seeing who hooks up with him because he seems to be a ladies man. I recommend this book to paranormal readers out there, fans of Gabrielle Bisset who have yet to read the prequel, and vampire readers who needs their vampire fix. =) If you haven't read the Book #1 or Book #2 of the Sons of Navarus, yet, you definitely should read this book first. =) Believe me, you will not be disappointed. You will fall in love with the characters before you even read the other books. Now, onto Blood Avenged because I do not think I can wait any longer. =) ...more
"Dawn's Desire" picks up where "Night's Awakening" left off at. Banan is playing the role of the new driver for PReview also posted on Book Lovin Mamas
"Dawn's Desire" picks up where "Night's Awakening" left off at. Banan is playing the role of the new driver for PureGems where Elena works at. The Dragon Kings are trying to find out who at PureGems wanted Elena and her boss to explore their land. Someone must know the truth behind them, so they need to find who the person is and quiet them. Elena is inside her company doing her job and finding out who may be behind why she went with her boss Sloan, while Banan, Guy, and Rhys patrol outside the building and sneak around in some of the employers homes and trail them to find out the truth. Of course in the middle of it all, Jane Holden, who is an American trying to keep her job with PureGems since her boss tends to be a jerk to her, gets caught up with what is going on. The boss she's working for could be the trouble maker the Dragon Kings are looking for. Jane who always was considered 'plain Jane' never saw herself as beautiful. In fact, she always considered herself a disaster since she was always being clumsy. When she comes across Banan though, sparks are going to fly. Now Banan, must find out if Jane is apart of the problem, or is she just has clueless as them. When Jane ends up accidentally over hearing something she was not supposed, she has to consider if PureGems is really a job to keep or not. Banan in the mean time is going to either find out if Jane is behind it all or have to protect her from the truth.
My thoughts on "Dawn's Desire" are of course it was another 5 moon rating from Donna Grant. I love this world Donna has created for the Dark Kings and I really, really want more about after ALL 3 short novellas. Banan is a FAVE of mine now after reading his book. He is one dragon king who is very protective of Jane and he knew the risks of being with Jane, but he managed to get over it rather quickly then the other Dragon Kings. He knew from the moment, he met Jane, that it would be hard to get over her. Jane is a very quiet and klutzy female, who I actually can click with right away. (being the quiet, timid, klutz myself sometimes) She also has become a fave lead female character out of all the books.
I'm wanting to know who the guy is at the end of the book who is behind outing the Dragon Kings now. Donna kind of left us hanging. And I also want to learn more about the leader of the Dragon Kings, Constantine. =) He has fascinated me since Book 1.
I recommend this book to paranormal romance readers, dragon shifter lovers, and Donna Grant fans. You'll definitely enjoy this book and the first two short novellas as well.
Just a quick note...ALL 3 covers to the Dark Kings are HOT!! I definitely hope these get made into paperbacks soon so I can buy them for my personal library at home and my hubby can be mad at me drooling over them. =) ...more

IReview also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas I got up in the middle of the night to make sure my pre-order of "Night's Awakening" downloaded to my Kindle. I think I squealed just a bit once I saw it officially. =) I even decided to stay up just a little bit to read it, although I was exhausted from the day before. I was determined to read Guy's story. Elena is off exploring with her boss, Sloan, who wants to go caving on private land. Elena knows something is up with her boss because supposedly Sloan has never been in the caves they're exploring, but for some reason she's getting around really easily. Before she knows it, Elena finds herself alone in the cave and injured...until three men come to her rescue...or actually come to find out why she is on their land. The three men who come upon Elena are determined to find out why Elena is in their caves and why her boss felt the need to go searching without permission. Now they have to interrogate her to find out the truth, but also heal her in the mean time since she's injured. Guy one of the guys who helped Elena is feeling very attracted to her and he should not be. He is determined to know why she was in the caves and of course try to prove her innocence. My thoughts on "Night's Awakening" was that it captured my attention just like the first one did. Let's just say, hubby was getting annoyed with me at dinner when we went out to eat and I would not put down my Kindle to eat. I kept telling him just one more minute I will be finished. =) I love Guy in this book. I thought Hal stole my heart, but for some reason Guy has become a favorite of mine. I clicked with him and actually felt sorry when he asked Elena a certain question towards the end of the book. I was about to go through the book and slap Elena silly if she didn't give him a better answer. Elena plays a major role in this book and iI loved the cliff-hanger at the end. Now I really want to know what is going on with the dragons and who is behind everything. (won't tell...because I will give it away to any one who wants to read this novella) I loved the chemistry between Guy and Elena...and let's just say they have some steamy scenes together. (One scene involving water) =) I'm so glad Donna wrote these books because I love dragon shifters and I can not get enough of the men she wrote in these books. I really hope I get to read some more of Constantine in the next book (I really want to know more about him). Oh and Tristan...can we finally find out who he is and why he is the way he is. I'm REALLY interested in him. If you love dragon shifters, you'll definitely want to check out the Dark Kings. =) The third book releases next month and this gal has already pre-ordered it. Have you? I recommend this book to paranormal romance readers, dragon shifter lovers, and Donna Grant fans (or readers who have always wanted to read Donna Grant's book). You definitely need to read these e-novellas. You won't regret it one bit. ...more
Let me get this off my chest first....I am in LOVE with KALE!! Oh my goodness...he is going on my HOTTIE List fReview also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas
Let me get this off my chest first....I am in LOVE with KALE!! Oh my goodness...he is going on my HOTTIE List for Book Boyfriends this year and maybe for ALL time. Okay..enough of drooling over the sexy warlock....FOR NOW. =) Stacey Kennedy writes an amazing first book to her Witch's Brew series that will make you want more after you read it. You will fall in love with the characters. I know I did. You will even enjoy the humor, magic, action, and romance in this book. Seriously...I LOVE Stacey Kennedy and her books and The Cat's Meow is going on my TOP list of books from her...and believe me it is difficult to pick because every book I have read from her is FRIGGIN' amazing.
Libby is one female character, who can seriously kick butt with her crafty spells and amazing witty remarks that may sometimes get her in trouble, but of course every one cannot help but love her. She is very over-protective of her best friend, but she has her reasons and she does not trust WARLOCKS due her past. And they definitely are really good reasons why she should not trust them...until one sexy warlock is about to change her mind about them. Kale...the mystery warlock who supposedly is new to Charleston, but Libby has no idea why he is here and what he really is. All she knows, is this sexy Warlock is hard to get out of her head. He comes from wherever he came from to help her with a case that is leading to another bigger case. Both Libby and Kale must find out what is happening in Charleston and put a stop to the bigger dilemma soon. Of course Libby is about to find out the real motives behind where is Kale is and it may be for her benefit or it may make her hate warlocks even more.
Seriously..if you have not added this to our TBR list, you need to. If you are a Urban Fantasy addict like I am that enjoys this genre with a little bit of romance to it, you'll definitely enjoy "The Cat's Meow". Stacey Kennedy did a bang up job on "The Cat's Meow" and I am still in shock with the truth behind what was happening in Charleston and who was behind everything and also what happened at the ending. Oh...do not get me started with the truth of Kale. I think I fell in love even more with him.
I highly recommend "The Cat's Meow" and give it 5 Full Moons. I look forward to the next installment in this series and getting more of Libby and Kale....especially sexy, hottie, Kale. *sigh*
Thanks Stacey for giving me another fictional character to drool over and have fantasies of....shhh...do not tell hubby. =) He already thinks my list is too long.

I read this book in a couple of days because it had my attention from the beginning. I do not think I've ever read a book that was based on fairy tale characters, but told in a different way. Tess Little (who we would know as Little Red Riding Hood by the fairytales)...but in "Red", she is not the little red riding hood we all know. She actually goes by the nickname "Red" and she's an Enforcer for the Fairytale Management Authority. See the tales were sent over to the real world and they have to keep the "tales" in check from the humans. When there is a "tale" crime, Red is there to figure out what happened. Unfortunately, Red finds herself in a world of mess. She ends up having people she once loved, in the mince of the biggest crime ever. Someone is killing off tales and Red is stuck in the middle of it...because one of her ex-lovers may be the prime suspect. She is forced to find out which one did it...in the meant time, she also is trying to keep herself alive because someone is watching her. She is teamed up with Nate (otherwise known as Death) because he is a Reaper. He is perfect for the case and he does not mind teaming up with Red. Red has felt an attraction to Nate...but she is still not sure what it could be that attracts him to her. He is a pain in a butt...but he always shows up at the right time when she needs him. I really LOVED the characters, Red and Nate. Seriously...can I have Nate? He sounds really dark, dreamy, and sexy. =) Red was one kick butt character. I liked how she was not your little girl character. She was one chick you just did not want to mess with. This book brings you the fairy tales from the dark side, basically. Kate SeRine definitely kept me enthralled whenever a new fairytale character was introduced. You'll read about Snow White, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Juliet, the werewolf (from little red riding hood), the sandman, and so many others...but of course be prepared for not your regular stories because some of these characters have a dark side to them. Oh...and let me not forget the bad guys who are involved in the killings...let's just say I was surprised to find out who it was. =) I really enjoyed reading "Red" and look forward to the next book. I liked how Kate SeRine kept me clicking my Kindle to turn a page to read. She has a very interesting writing style and a wicked "cool" imagination. (taking my daughter's saying) =) I definitely recommend this book to urban fantasy and paranormal romance lovers out there. If you want the dark side of the fairy tale world...you definitely will enjoy this book. Can't wait to see what happens next! =) ...more
