Well Opal Carew in my opinion the reigning Canadian Smut Queen. Her books are fun, contemporary fantasy and always have a happy ending. She is creative in her stories and there is always a lot of sex. No doubt about, Opal Carew books are chalked full of sex and fantasy.
“Twin Fantasies” is about an erotic case of mistaken identity. Jenna has a boyfriend named Ryan. They have been dating about a year and half. They love each other but Ryan owns his own software company and he is trying to get it off the ground. In doing so, he has a lot of business trips and usually puts Jenna second. When Ryan doesn’t make it to Jenna’s friend’s wedding as her date, she pretty much decides that although she loves him, she can no longer be second.
About a month before the wedding, Jenna tells her boyfriend Ryan her secret fantasies hoping to spice up their romance. Her one fantasy is having sex with a stranger and she wants Ryan to act like a stranger.
Jenna is so upset at the wedding and when she leaves early, she runs into Ryan’s identical twin brother Jake. Jake introduces himself and she thinks it is Ryan acting like a stranger. They end up having hot and steamy sex at the hotel where the wedding is being held. The entire time, Jake is totally falling for Jenna and can’t believe his luck while Jenna is back in love with Ryan for trying to act out her “sex stranger fantasy”.
Well as you can well imagine how the story goes with Jenna thinking that Jake is really Ryan and Jake falling in love with Jenna. Meanwhile this entire time, Ryan is missing Jenna and can’t wait to see her but he is still away. Eventually Jenna finds out that she is pregnant and of course it is Jake’s. When Ryan eventually comes back from business and she tells him that she is pregnant he is totally blown away but feels so sad that Jenna had to fulfill her fantasy with a stranger. He thinks he has blown it so he asks her to marry him. So the story goes on with them finding out at their wedding rehearsal that Jake is really Jake and Ryan is Ryan and she cancels the wedding to work things out in her head.
Long story short...this was totally entertaining and totally uninhibited. I adored the ending and I even took this book to work to read at lunch because I couldn’t wait to come home to finish it. The book is sexy hot, a little angsty and totally a fantasy. Loved it.

Let me start out by saying, I FRIGGIN LOVED THIS BOOK. In case the message isn’t clear enough.
I have only read a few short eBooks in the futuristic romance genre and didn’t care much for them. I actually bought this book off of Amazon to make a 3rd book deal to get free shipping. It had some good reviews so I thought why not. Well, to me, this was the best book ever.
The female heroine is probably one of the best I have ever read. She is Sera Ayers, a female lieutenant in the Federation Military Corps. I loved her right away because she is not some weak female character waiting for a man to save her. I think that is one of the reasons I loved this book. It was not a typical romance where the man is the “shining knight coming to save the day”. She is kick ass, emotionally stable, beautiful and holds a very respectable position.
The two main male characters are Ash Walker and Brandt Pela. *drools* They are both military men as well. Sera and Ash were a loving couple years ago but because of an ancient political law, Ash could not be with Sera. Ash and Brandt come from very wealthy families that run the ‘verse and they have to abide by these laws. The ten years previous when Ash and Sera were a couple, Sera lovingly submitted to Ash’s dominance in the bedroom. Their breakup was heartbreaking for both of them. Sera never forgave Ash for following the tradition and marrying as his family dictated in an arranged marriage. It was all political. (in fact he married Brandt’s sister)
Skip ahead to present day and they are all in the military together and are ordered together as a team. Things start out really rough and Brandt seems to serve as the constant referee between them but it is clear that Sera and Ash still have deep unresolved feelings towards each other. Ash is now divorced. The undercover military operation that they are ordered on together takes them to another planet in the ‘verse where woman are like second rate citizens and men are allowed concubines. Sera is undercover as Brandt’s concubine lover. Since they could be videotaped they really act like lovers and then shortly thereafter become so.
This undercover operation is amazing and becomes really hot and really well written. Ash and Brandt are gorgeous and the story gets extra steamy because this situation ignites passion in all three of them. HOT HOT HOT! A total page turner. I have to also add, there is love. Lots of love.
Warnings: sex, ménage, light BDSM, M/M/F situations with some light M/M (less)

Lauren Dane did it again! Recently Lauren did an interview where she said some amazing comments about her style of writing. Here are a few favourite parts.
Writing sex is like any other skill a writer has. It’s a skill to be honed like anything else (fight scenes, dialog, what have you). When I write, the construct of an erotic romance is different than that of another romance because the sex is framed differently, it’s more central to the story, but that doesn’t mean an author has to sacrifice story for sex. An erotic romance is like any other book in that the author needs to tell the story of the people within it until her characters breathe and make sense to her readers. Sex shouldn’t come at the expense of anything, like any scene in a book, it should add to the book. No scenes should be tossed in or wasted because the author has an invisible checklist of sexual positions she thinks she has to fill in order for the book to be deemed “hot.”
I know that seems weird of me to say when I’m here talking as an author who just released a ménage erotic romance, LOL, but I do believe it. Writing sex for each book, for each set of characters, for each story and then different moments of the story is important, just as important as a car chase scene or a scene where the hero confesses some terrible childhood wrong that’s changed him as a person. Whatever. The sex should mean something.
In truth, sex is wonderful material for a story. It’s rife with possibilities. Not just love and joy but anger, loss, connection, guilt, grief – it’s not only a great vehicle for emotion but physical action as well. An author can really show you things about her characters through a really well done, well placed sex scene.
And I’m not just speaking about the physical act, but also in setting up longing, desire, chemistry between your characters. Readers should feel it and understand, in some sense, why the characters are drawn to each other.
Anyhow I could probably copy and paste the entire interview because she totally explains why I have fallen in love with her stories. If you are interested in reading what else she says, here is the link
Okay enough pimpage on Lauren Dane the author and let me talk about her book Laid Bare. Well as you know I love Rock Music and in this book the main female character, Erin Brown, is a rock star. This book features a lot of music and you really get the musician vibe. The book starts out when she is just young (24) and just beginning. The book jumps forward 10 years after solidifying the essence of the plot. She is uber cool, confident, has gorgeous tattoos and is an amazing bass guitarist. We are also introduced to the main male character, Todd Keenan at the beginning of the book. They are neighbours and they are crazy about each other. On the outside they appear very different. Her rock star image to his clean cut police officer. They break up as Todd can’t admit to who he really is inside and she refuses to allow herself to apologize for who she is.
Todd has this image in his head of a good cop, pretty wife, 2.5 kids and the white picket fence thing.
10 years later, she has left the public view of the music industry and Todd is divorced from the woman that matched his criteria. They meet back up and are immediately drawn to each other. Now Todd is confident with who he is but Erin has changed. Something incredibly awful has happened to Erin and the main reason she left the public eye.
What I really liked about this story is that the couple got together almost right away and the involvement of the book was their growing together to overcome the nightmare that happened to Erin. The book took a surprising twist as a third male came into the story. Ben Copeland is Todd’s best friend and is a long time childhood buddy. He is now Todd’s business partner in their security firm because Todd left the police force. Slowly but surely Ben becomes involved with them as a triage and the love that the three share is heart warming. I swear! It’s not like sex sex sex and a there, we have a threesome. One of the reasons I put Lauren’s interview in the post is to demonstrate that she uses sex to enhance the story. If you looking for a dripping wet sex book on ménage, then this is not the book. Yes there are ménages, but they are meaningful, loving and even there is some fun. I love that Lauren even inserts arguements.
The book deals with alot of issues. Relationships, dominance/submissive, self esteem, family, sexuality, death, grief, fame, communication, sex...the list goes on because it is all here.
Warning: light BDSM, sex, ménage between M/F/M but it does have some light M/M (less)

It was as equally good as the first book I read of hers. Where the "Wicked Ties" story focussed around Dom & Sub this story "Decadent" was about menage and the love story that surrounds the three main characters.
So well written and the entire story was very hot and again I couldnt put the book down. I just finished it today and then I had to jump back on Amazon and order another book by Shayla Black. Wow she is an amazing writer and you will not regret reading this story. A++ (less)

If "Two Masters for Alex" is about Liam, Daniel and Alex coming together, I would say that "Two Loves for Alex" is more about them together and trying to stay together.
I could not put this book down. I missed meals because I couldn't even pause to eat. I have re-read this story a few times and I still pick out things that I missed before because I get so involved and read so fast I can't keep up with myself. lol. There is actually one scene in the book that I could feel my heart beat in my throat it was so action packed.
This story has action, drama, love, BDSM, super hot sex and an awesome read. I love Claire Thompson stories and this is my favorite of all the books she has wrote. Now that I have read two stories with Liam, Daniel and Alex I want more. I would love for Claire Thompson to come up with an idea for another book because they are my favorite triade grouping. I would buy another book about them in a heart beat. (less)

The entire story line was really good because it wasn't a silly love triangle plot. I loved that the 3 main characters have known each other since they were kids. I always get so involved with stories where the characters have a rich past.
Simply excellent! You will not be disappointed if you buy this book! (less)

I have read it twice, back to back because I read it so fast the first time. I was turning the pages so fast I couldn't get enough.
I love the Falladay brother's stories. I loved the woman in the stories. Such awesome reads and lets face it, the sex/love making was hot hot hot and the stories lines were awesome. Can't really go wrong with Lora Leigh and once again these two books would not disappoint. You'll love it. (less)
