I'm so excited there will be a third novel in this series. The story line was just too big to be covered in two books. Armentrout 5/5 stars for being the best book of my life right now and preventing me from gaining any rational sleep or starting a new novel for the last few days. This novel was that epic and I want to cry now that it ended.
Ms. Jennifer L. Armentrout has really outdone herself with this new installment from the Lux series. Opal is by far my overall favorite novel in this series. I'll even go as far as to nominate Opal as my favorite Jennifer L. Armtrout's novel of all time. That, saying a lot because Deity (from the Covenant series) was just as good.
My only complaint was the ending. Oh, that dear, terribly heartfelt ending I will be agonizing over until book number four, Origin is released come this July. Ms. Armentrout how could you do that to me? Those poor innocent characters!
Well, I guess you made my suffering more manageable right now by releasing this statement via facebook: "So... once I get caught up on what I NEED to write, I will write the last couple of pages of Opal in Daemon's POV for you guys. Not timeframe on when that will happen, but it will." Link to Ms. Jennifer L. Armentrout's lovely facebook page
OMG I would not only recommend Opal but the entire series as a whole. I highly encourage future readers to begin with the prequel and first novels, Shadows and Obsidian, because, you know, the series will make much better since that way. ...more

After some careful deliberation, I decided to give Love Unscripted by Tina Reber 4.5/5 stars for being both more than entertaining and opening my eyes to the some of the terrible conditions celebrity’s these faces go through.
My thoughts on Love Unscripted :
When I first read the synopsis for Love Unscripted, I knew this was the novel for me. Having just returned to contemporary romance novels, after a long and never boring journey in all things supernatural, Love Unscripted was, for better words, a nice breath of fresh air and normalcy. Not to say the journey that Taryn and Ryan embark on in this novel is anything but normal.
Review of Unscripted Love:
In the past year, Taryn Mitchell, a 27 year old bartender and owner of Mitchell’s Pub from Seaport, Rhode Island, has had her shares of more heart break and loss than any sane person could withstand. Between losing her father to a massive heart attack and catching her ex-fiancé with another woman in his bed, Taryn thought she finally got her life back on track and heading in the right direction.
As the owner of a successful bar in town as well as a share holder in the winery business, Taryn is more than financial stable. The only thing missing in her life is a man. However, after her past failed relationships, Taryn has sentenced herself to the life of being single to protect her heart.
That was until famous and heartthrob Seaside actor Ryan Christensen literally storms through the front doors of her Pub to escape the rabid fans closely chasing after him. Now, Taryn finds herself drawn to Ryan in a way she has never experienced with any men in her life. However, after a lifetime of dealing with heartbreak and infidelity, is Taryn prepared to begin a relationship with such a public figure, who has many opportunities to do just what she fears?
Holy cow YES (sorry for the excitement)! Despite the hefty page length of Unscripted Love, and yes this scared me as well at first, this novel is beyond all expectations. There is quite a lot of steaming love scenes, humorous banter, joy and heartbreak. There are even moments where I seriously wanted to strangle the heroine and hero. Still, I really enjoyed the epic journey that this novel brought and I’m counting down the days until Love Unrehearsed. If I count write, it should be around 43 days, 6 weeks, 1038 hours, 62337 minutes and 3740204 seconds (give or take a couple seconds) until the release of Love Unrehearsed.
You may ask, why Heather did you give Love Unscripted 4.5/5 stars? Well... (view spoiler)[ though I completely adored this novel, it tended to get a bit repetitive. There were times I felt Taryn and Ryan were having the same conversation over and over again. Still, I can't completely knock the book apart for this (hence the .5 rating off). I mean, don't we all feel like we're having the same arguments with our own boyfriends? So, very realistic I presume. (hide spoiler)]
Fun scenes I felt needed to be included in my review to further enhance the awesomeness of Love Unscripted.
“How much money do you think I could make from all these women who want to have sex with me?”
“Billions!” I quickly replied.
“Really? Help me drag a mattress out into the front yard. You can sell lemonade and I’ll just fuck people all day!” he cackled.
Nick made me jump slightly when he gasped loudly. “Tell the limo driver to stop. We have to kick Taryn out. It says right here she’s just using my brother for sex.”
Ryan sat up quickly. “That’s true! She forces me to…” He covered his eyes with the champagne bottle and pretended to cry, slumping back into the seat. “All the time!” he wailed. “And she beats me too! She says ‘you get naked and get in that bed or I’ll give you something to really cry about mister.’ I mean, I’m only human. I’m not a machine.”
“Janelle beats me all the time,” Nick cried. “I feel so used.”
“You wish!” she laughed.
“I don’t know about you Janelle, but if I have to pick up his dirty socks and underwear I want something in return!” I defended.
“I know!” she agreed. “The Christensen scent sure doesn’t smell like roses.”
“Hey, we take pride in our scent!” Ryan argued.
“If your fans only knew…” I replied. “Maybe they wouldn’t be standing so close to our doors.”
“I thought your fans were too busy kissing their Seaside pillowcases to travel all the way to Rhode Island,” Janelle teased.
“Go ahead and laugh, Janelle. I’m laughing all the way to the bank.”
“Pillowcases?” I questioned. I had no idea what she was talking about.
“And bed sheets! Now girls all around the globe can sleep with Charles at night!” Janelle laughed.
“I dry humped my Charles pillow just last night,” Nick chortled, making obscene gestures.
Ryan threw the champagne cork at him. I gathered Ryan didn’t like that last dig, because Ryan threw the cork with some force. Nick flinched away, smiling.
“I used the real Ryan Christensen as a sex toy last night,” I whispered in Ryan’s direction, trying to keep him in a good mood.
Ryan gave me a high-five and winked at me. “Damn straight! And then I sprayed you with my personal scent to keep the other animals away!”...more

Since goodreads only allows and rating of 5 stars, I’m reduced to giving Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire 5/5 stars (seriously, it deserves 10 stars).
Have you ever wrote a review of a novel you loved so much it was hard to place into words the amazing-ness of what you just read? THAT is this review. Enjoy.
Beautiful Disaster review:
To escape the reputation that was unfairly placed on her in her home town, Abby Abernathy, along with her long-standing best friend America, have set out to attend Eastern University for their first year of college. There, Abby has a relatively strange first encounter with the infamous Travis “Mad dog” Maddox. Unfortunately, as much as Abby would rather stay away from Travis, as well as his outstanding reputation for being both a bad boy and ladies man, America has found herself completely smitten with no one other than Travis’ cousin, Shepley. Forced to either disconnect herself from America or make due with Travis’ existence, Abby agrees to keep peace with the notorious bad-boy on campus.
That is until Abby decides to make a beat with Travis that may just change everything…
In simple terms, Beautiful Disaster is one heck of a roller-coaster ride between two enjoyable characters who are complete opposites yet completely made for one another at the same time. If I could totally erase my mind and re-read this entire novel again, I would in a heart beat because that is how good it is. Ms. McGuire is a truly a very talented writer and her characters are just so relatable and honest, I doubt anyone could hate them. Both Travis and Abby have their flaws but despite any of it, they are so willing to fight to make their relationship last forever.
Yes! Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire is a beautiful story about two people trying to make a relationship work when all odds are stacked against them. From the first page to the last, the reader is taken on an adventure that will promise to have you overjoyed, crying and even screaming incoherently as these to two characters figure out how to make their relationship work. It is a change, but one that is so worth it in the end.
**It has been rumored that Jamie McGuire will not be making Beautiful Disaster in a series but is, however, write the entire novel in Travis' POV.

I give Bared to You by Sylvia Day 5/5 stars for being extremely swoon worthy and truly amazing on this captivating journey between Eva and Gideon.
Bared to You review:
After recently graduating and moving across country from San Diego to Manhattan, for a whole new beginning with her best friend Cary Taylor, Eva Tramwell lands the job of a life time at Waters Field & Leaman located in the Crossfire Building. Aside from having to come to terms with the New Yorker life-style, Eva also has to concern herself with her ever increasingly, overprotected mother, who has made it her life goal to interfere with her daughters life at any cost to ensure her safety. If a stalker-like-mother wasn’t problem enough, Eva is in for quite a surprise when she meets mysterious yet sexy Gideon Cross, owner of the entire Crossfire Building! What could be so wrong with meeting Mr. Sexy Cross? Only that he was made it his life mission to possess Eva body and soul at any cost, even if she isn’t to bent on the idea.
Bared to You was recommended to be as a cure for my ever devastating Fifty Shades of Grey depression, which typically happens after finishing the third and final novel, Fifty Shades Freed. Having heard about the many similarities between the two novels, I jumped on the chance to have another go in a world I loved so much. After reading Bared to You, I am happy to announce that this novel definitely filled the void. There are enough similarities between the two novels to help with the Fifty Shades depression yet not enough to feel as though this is a ‘copy cat’ situation.
Recommend?: Yes, yes, yes. This Bared to You was phenomenal and I’m very desperate for the next novel, Deeper in You. October 2, 2012 cannot come soon enough; though rumor has it, it will be released sooner than that. I would definitely recommend Bared to You to anyone who loved the Fifty Shades series especially....more

If I didn't have the second installment, The Shattered Dark , next to me, I'd probably go crazy. This series is my drug of choice at the moment.
I’m not exactly sure why I held off reading The Shadow Reader by Sandy Williams for so long but I definitely regret it. The Shadow Reader is simply amazing. McKenzie, Aren, Kyol, and even Loren, I love them all and I’m at least grateful to have held this novel off entire book two, The Shattered Dark was released. Now, I can start the second novel this very instant.
On a side note, it’s hard to have read as many novels I have and not find similarities. With the whole fae thing happening as well as the love triangle between the sarcastic, carefree rebel and the dramatic, fierce solider, I was having major The Iron King flashbacks. Though I can honestly say, The Shadow Reader is more like the older, better sibling of the two. ...more
What a *Though, I will not provide any spoilers for Reckless, I do hint at ones for the two earlier novels in the series, Thoughtless and Effortless*
What an epic novel, my life is now complete.
Excuse the mess that is this review, I'm emotional.
I give Reckless by S.C. Stephens 5/5 stars for being simply outstanding and everything I expect in a series final.
At the end of Effortless , the D Bags, having had success on tour with Avoiding Redemption featuring Justin, are given the opportunity to head to Hollywood to make an album and go on another tour with Avoiding Redemption. With the chance of making it in the music business, the D Bags prepare to depart to Hollywood as soon as possible. However, before Kellan departs to Hollywood, he has one last request from Kiera; marriage. With a mock wedding that involves the simple exchange of rings in the middle of Pete’s Bar, Kellan and Kiera declare themselves husband and wife and promise to never be separated again. Kiera may have to rethink that promise again because to stay by Kellan’s side means following him to Hollywood and his impending tour for 4 months.
I need to start by pointing out that Reckless is a breeze compared to the turmoil that is Thoughtless and Effortless . However, that doesn’t mean that Reckless allows the reader a single moment of contentment. Even in the last novel in the series, Kellan and Kiera do not catch a break at all. With a jealous ex, sex tape scandal, money hungry executive, a pop-star struggling to make a comeback, and crazy, obsessed fans, Kellan and Kiera have more than enough problems to keep them busy and fighting for their roller-coaster like relationship.
Ms. Stephens is a beautiful writer who has created such powerful and amazing characters, you can’t help but fall in love with them. In the new and final installment of the Thoughtless series, all of the characters are back; The D Bags (Evan, Matt, and of course Griffin), the best friends (Jenny, Rachel, and Cheyenne), Kiera sister Anna and even Kellan’s new found family.
Absoutely. Yes. Totally. Definitely an instant favorite!

I give Kiss of Frost 4/5 stars because this novel is action packed and filled with all kinds of mystery that left me reading in anticipation for what would happen next.
My feelings about Kiss of Frost :
Gwen Frost has once again found herself the target of the infamous Reapers. After the events in book one, Touch of Frost, the Reapers have made it their main goal to kill Gwen by any means necessary. Since this is the case, Gwen, along side her group of friends, have decided it is in her best interest to be prepared for the battle with the Reapers that is sure to come. However, this is easier said then done since Gwen has no fighting skills what-so-ever.
This guy has the makings of being a stellar love interest. Logan is strong, confident and dangerous as hell (having the ability to pick just about any item and use it in a lethal method.)
Having said this, I still feel like Logan is a mystery. This could be because Logan is hardly in the books. Yes, he shows up every now and then but Gwen, as well as the reader, hardly ever get to hear him open up and talk. So far, Logan's position has been the hunky guy who trains and saves Gwen from time to time. However, from the end of Kiss of Frost, I pretty sure Logan will have a much more significant role on the next book, Dark Frost. It seems Logan is finally ready to allow Gwen into his life and I couldn't be happier.
I would definitely recommend this novel to anyone interested in the series. Kiss of Frost is a fantastic follow up novel and maybe just be the best yet. If you haven't started this series, do so now. :)...more

I give Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi, 5/5 starts for having such a captivating world and being simply one of the best reads of 2012.
*Short review because Under the Never Sky is better without any prior knowledge. No spoilers!*
Under the Never Sky Review:
Aria and Perry come from two different worlds.
Aria, is a Dweller and Perry is an Outsider.
To Aria, Perry is a savage. A person who lives on the outside: diseased, dirty, violent, uncontrollable, no better than animal.
To Perry, Aria is a mole. Someone who lives in on the inside: weak, pampered, the reason for his suffering.
Now banished from the only life she has ever known, Aria, with very little choice, must team up with Perry who lives in the world her nightmares are created from. Together they will need to look past their differences and team up a greater cause.
Everything is perfect in Aria’s world. She has her friends, mother and her Realms. Everything in Aria’s world is organized and safe- just the way she likes it. However, when Aria loses her only connection to her mother, she will risk everything in order to be able to hear her voice again.
Perry considers himself to be a living curse. The only real acceptance he has ever had comes from his little nephew, Talon. Except now Talon is gone–kidnapped by the Dwellers. Now the only way to get him back is to team up with one.
Absolutely! ,i>Under the Never Sky was nothing like what I was expecting. Its brilliantly written and the story will have you wanting to come back for more.
My only resolve was that it ended to too soon and now I must wait for the next installment: Through the Ever Night.
Extra treats for reading my review (Qoutes!):
She turned to him, her gaze catching on his Markings. “What do you want from me, Savage?”
“Is that what you call us?”
“You’re murderers. Diseased. Cannibals.” She flung the words at him like curses. “I’ve heard the stories.”
Perry crossed his arms. She lived under a rock. What did she know about anything? “Guess we’re well named, Mole.”
Best scene in the novel, I think. :)
“Aria, what’s wrong?”
She stood, moving slow and defeated. “I’m dying. I’m bleeding.”
Perry’s gaze traveled down her body.
“It’s not my feet.”
“Did you eat any of those berries?”
“No.” She held out her hand. “You might as well have this . . . ”
Perry closed his eyes and inhaled. Her scent had changed. The rancy Dweller musk was almost gone. Her skin breathed a new scent into the air, faint but unmistakable. For the first time since he’d known her, her flesh smelled like something he recognized, feminine and sweet.
He smelled violets.
He took a step back, swearing silently as it hit him. “You’re not dying. . . . You really don’t know?”
“I don’t know anything anymore.”
Perry looked down at the ground and drew another breath, no doubt in his mind.

I give Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James, 5/5 stars for being beyond all my expectations and extremely well written.
My feelings on Fifty Shades of Grey: *skip this is you want to read my review*
Let me start out by explaining that if you haven’t heart a thing about this novel, you are seriously living under a rock. Fifty Shades of Grey is the new hype right now in popular culture; from skits on Saturday Night Live, to Ellen Degeneres trying to narrate the book, this novel is being talked about everywhere and by everyone.
However, I can honestly say, half the things I have heard about Fifty Shades of Grey are WRONG .
That’s right, wrong. The things people say when discussing Fifty Shades of Grey , had me removing it from my TBR list on many occasions. In order to prevent anymore scare tatics, let’s clear things up:
1.No Anastasia is not hung from a ceiling and whipped with a pancake maker. - A pancake maker?
2.Christian does NOT turn Anastasia into his dog (resembling the movie Centipede). - This movie was disgusting. Please never mention this again.
3.Fifty Shades of Grey should be considered a step-back in women’s rights. - Ah, please stop. That is ridiculous. If you think this novel will take women’s right to vote and etc away, keep dreaming.
4.Fifty Shades of Grey deserves to be banned in every library. - Great idea! Let’s start the oppression.
Fifty Shades of Grey Review:
Anastasia Steele finds herself in a very interesting situation when she, instead of her friend Kate Kavanagh, is sent to interview the mysterious Christian Grey (CEO of Grey Enterprises Holding INC.) Having never heard of this business guru, Anastasia is in for quite a surprise when she finds he’s more than what she was expecting. Christian Grey has set his sights on Anastasia and has no intentions of letting her go.
Fifty Shades of Grey is definitely unique. Many times, this novel begs the reader to step out of their comfort zone and into the mind of Christian Grey. Underneath Christian’s cold and driven attitude is someone very scared by the devastating events in his early life.
Anastasia Steele is the kind of heroine that needs to be recognized. She is smart, pretty, brave and very strong willed. I was so amazed by how she was able to handle herself throughout this entire novel. Not many people are willing to leave their comfort zones and allow life to take them on journey wherever it may land. Anastasia is by far one of my new favorite heroines.
I found myself able to really connect with Christian and understand why he chooses to live the way he does. Since this was the case, I was able to see through his exterior into the little boy that I knew still existed inside of him; the one still looking for acceptance and love.
Yes, yes, YES. Is that enough of an answer? No? You want more? Okay. How about this...this novel will blow your mind apart and make you questions things you never thought you would. A total game changer you want to be a part of. Read it now. ...more
