Highlights: -Merit and Ethan become a thing!!!!!!!Unfortunatly, it only last for a day. Very sad but I am hoping for more in the next book. -Gabriel the leader of the shifters comes to town to ask the pack to stay or go. Great debate....Merit and Ethan's services are on loan... -Ethan's old flame shows up after Merit and Ethan brake up.Not good for self esteem but all gather around Merit to show their support.
"You undo me, Merit. Wholly and completely. You don't take me at my word. You challenge me at every opportunity. And that means when I'm with you, I am less than the head of this House...and I am more than the head of this House. I am a man." He stroked my cheeks with his thumbs. "In my very, very long life, I need you more than I have ever needed anything."
"He paused, then tapped a finger against the box. “This is a wish,” he said quietly, “that even after four hundred years of existence, a man can be strong enough to accept the gifts he’s given.” “Ethan—,” I began, but he shook his head. “I’m prepared to wait for a positive response.” “That’s going to take a while.” Ethan lifted a single eyebrow, a grin lifting one corner of his mouth. “Sentinel, I am immortal."
"Lindsey patted my arm. “Don’t be embarrassed. It’s about time you two made the beast with two backs.” I had to work to form words. “There are so many things wrong with that statement, I don’t know where to start."...more

Nalini Singh just keeps getting better. I mean the first two were great but this one takes the book places I never imagined. Elena and Raphael finally go home to New York. Trouble follows them as Raphael's mother is waking up from her sleep. But is she the one who is the cause of all the weather that is going wonky.
This Series is a must read!!!!
Quote: "What would you like to call me?" That made her pause. "Husband" was too human, "partner" factually wrong for a being as powerful as an archangel, "mate"...perhaps. But none of it was quite right. "Mine," she said at last. He blinked and when he raised his lashes again, the blue was liquid fire. Yes, that will do. "But for public consumption, you are my consort." "Consort," she murmured, tasting the word, feeling it's shape. "Yes, that fits."
"You are mine, Elena. If you choose to sleep in another bed, I will simply pick you up and bring you home."
"For the first time in forever, he was stunned to silence. Not by her words, but by the tenderness in her hands, the worry in her eyes. He was an archangel. He’d been wounded far, far worse and shrugged it off. But then, there had been no woman with sun kissed by the sunset and eyes of storm gray to tear into him for daring to get himself hurt."...more

I am now finally getting around to posting a review of this Great book and Amazing Series!
Warning: You may not be able to put this book down! Curran Addiction is a huge possibility!
Recommend: I recommend this to anyone who wants a Great Urban Fantasy or Paranormal Romance. It has enough for either of them. If you are looking for a Kick-Butt Female Character and a Sexy Alpha Male then look no farther!
Tons of Action and a dash of romance that adds to the flavor of the book. Yummy and deliciously filling.
We enter a "Whole New World" at the beginning of this book. Atlanta, Georgia (where the book takes place) and the rest of the world has suffered from a "magic apocalypse." We meet Kate Daniels right from the start. She is sitting at home enjoying her Boone's Farm Hard Lemonade. She gets a surprise visit from a Vampire who is being piloted by Ghastek, a Master Vampire. Kate is not happy having an undead in her house and shows her love by slicing it's throat open. Yes, she did that while she was sitting down. Ghastek proceeds to inform her that the man who helped raise her, Greg, has been murdered. For this information he asks for her help in solving the murder since one of his own was also killed off. We then get to watch as Kate wrestles her way into solving this murder to get revenge and closer for Greg. In the process she gains his home and more "power words." It seems that Atlanta's Shifters seem to be caught up in this mess as well. The Beast Lord himself, Curran, asks to meet with her and wants the same cooperation that the Vampires do. The stage is set and the players are let loose. It is a fight to the end to see who will come out on top and who is guilty of murder.
*Kate Daniels is one of my fav. female characters of all time. Her past is so messed up it is amazing she turned out decent at all. She is a fighter as she has been raised to be, by her mothers "lover."
*Curran is the ultimate sexy male in this book series and rivals many in other series in my opinion. He is the Alpha over all the shifters in the region. He shifts into a mighty, mighty lion. [image error]
"Here, Kitty, Kitty, Kitty"
"It's a reflex. Hear a bell, get food. See an undead, throw a knife. Same thing, really."
"Why a raven?" To honor my father." The writing under it, is that Cyrillic?" Yes." What does it say?" Dar Vorona. Gift of the Raven. I am my father's gift" The raven is holding a bloody sword." I never said it was a nice gift."
"Men and swords. My father said that if you put any able-bodied man, no matter how peaceful, into a room with a sword and a practice dummy and leave him alone, eventually the man would pick up the sword and try to stab the dummy. It is human nature."
"He finished the bandage and was examining it critically. “You know those things are unreliable”. His voice held just a touch of reproach. “Eleven out of twelve work fine. I’d say that’s better chances than getting an orgasm with a blind date and women still try”. ...more

Likes: *Gin kicks butt throughout the whole book again, no more retirement for her. *Sexy new character, Owen Grayson, is introduced. Compliments Gin's Character. *You can almost smell and taste the food that in discussed in book. *Plenty of action, adventure, with a dash of romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time.
Dislikes: *Donovan is a jerk the whole book, but leaves in the end. Sad but there it is.
Fav. Quotes: "That being said, if somebody pushes me, comes at me like those tow clowns did, I'm going to push back-three times as hard. Being an assassin has been my way of life since I was thirteen, detective. I'm not going to forget what I did for the last seventeen years just because I'm not doing it anymore."
"Don't care for blondes, do you?"I sniped. "Sassy brunettes are more my style." He grinned.
"And what do you do in times of crisis, Gin?" Grayson asked. I stared at him."I survive." A grin spread across his face, and emotions flashed in his eyes. Admiration mixed with amusement. A look I'd never seen in Donovan Caine's golden gaze....more

Highlights: *Gin doesn't fail to kick some series bad guys. One has to wonder "Is she really retired?" *Bria Coolidge shows up. She is looking for her Sister at the same time Gin is looking for her. Bria kicks butt as well, just through legal means. *Winner of Favorite Character for this book is OWEN Grayson. Not only is he HOT and Rick, he accepts Gin for who and what she is. Very sweet moment in book. *Best Move is when Gin lights up a lawn with the Spider symbol and then threatens Mab. Can't wait for the next book.
Warning: *You may have the urge to make and eat pie. Gin's food/dessert always sound delicious.
Quote: "I’m just wondering how exactly I went from being the Spider to the Robin fucking Hood of the greater Ashland area... Instead of stealing from the rich, I’m stabbing them to death for the poor."

Recommend: Alls fans for the Blue Blood Series! Schyler and Jacks bonding! Buy or check out from your library today!
Overview/Heads up: *Oliver gets over being in love with Schyler. Great Story! I was so happy to find out Oliver is back to being himself. -added bonus you meet a character that I think is in her new series, or later returns in this series.
*Story of how Allegra and Bendix Chase fell in love. Sweet with a tragic ending. -you get a glimpse of Charles and understand why he ended up being so upset.
*Ultimate Favorite Story is Schyler and Jacks bonding. Oh Yeah we knew they bonded at the end of the last book, but here is the actual story!
I enjoyed reading these Short Stories. It helped me grasp more of the reasons why the characters are the way they are. Plus, I think all will agree we desperately wanted to read Jack and Schylers bonding which was not in Misguided Angel.
Quote: "When were were cast out of Paradise, we lost part of our soul forever. As part of our punishment, we were cursed never to learn to love again. Instead, we were bound to a destiny that was set from the beginning. Azrael and I never chose each other; the choice was made for us. We never knew anything else.
The ring you hold is part of my soul that your mother helped me recover. It was she who saved us from the Dark and led us back to the Light. As her daughter, you too are an Angel of Light. The fire does not harm you. I lost the ring during the crisis in Rome. But now it has been returned to me.
This ring has been blessed by Gabrielle herself.
I have never given this ring, my soul, to anyone. Azrael has never had any part in this.
This is the only part of myself that is truly mine, and now it is yours." ...more

It's been awhile since I have reviewed a book. And I seem to be a bit rusty. So it's only fitting that Corroded is the book I chose to jump back into the book blogging world with. So here it goes.
Weep for the widowed bride!
My name is Cherry St. Croix and I am a collector. I hunt men for bounties-for coin delivered upon successful conveyance of vagrants, degenerates and those too far in debt to allow to roam free. Were I anywhere else but in a Limehouse opium den buried beneath the choking fog of London low, I would be Lady Compton, grieving widow to the late Cornelius Kerrigan Compton, Earl Compton. . .
Revenge is the name of the game. The man who murdered her husband must pay. And so this book begins with Cherry desperately trying to find the Sweet Tooth, her rival collector and husband slayer(yay, I could not stand Lord Boring Butt) and Jack the Ripper, who has been terrorizing the streets of London.
Where better to place this part of Cherry’s story than in The Menagerie with all its dark temptations and twisted justice.
I had been here, making my way among the staff of these grounds, for near a fortnight, and almost all had come to know me by face. Them what didn’t learned of my free passage-often attached to Hawke’s permission, which still rankled.
Let me tell you, her debts just keep piling up. And it seems like Cherry is losing her touch, her mind, or quite possibly both.
But there is a new player in this game and they have seemed to tip the odds in Cherry’s favor. (I foresee many good things to come of this in future books.)
Of course, Hawke is ever present.
As any good ringmaster must, he would control every detail until the crowd roared with delight, gasped with fear and wonder. . .[I] turned my back on the memory of the dangerously seductive ringmaster with his exquisitely tailored evening clothes and wicked whip.
(Whip, whip, the man wields a whip! This makes the masochist in me giggle like a little girl. Yay!)
Whatever characteristics my disorderly imagination had given Hawke’s stare, it paled beside the truth of it. Sharp as the knives I carried in my corset, wicked as the Devil with a bargain in mind, that gaze pinned on me.
So it began.
I whirled on Hawke. “How dare you?” “Go make yourself useful.” He did not address my futile temper. “Do not make me regret this moment.” ” I regret this moment,” I snapped.
I was not much of an exception; I would not be the rule.
Plague. I would claim illness until the moon fell from the sky.
“I am no man’s,” I said fiercely. My grip tightened. “I am untouchable.”
And then Karina Cooper heard my pleas.
And lo and behold Cherry was not to die a virgin nor was I going to have to read the words. . .”I will be gentle, I promise.”(shudders)
Much rejoicing was had because not only was Hawke a whip wielding badass, he was a kinky fucker and thank the gods for that.
It was hot! (So many of my favorite kinks were used I lost count halfway through.)
Cherry begged and not one fuck was given but many were taken. May there be more of this in future books.
So it is written and so it shall be, I hope.
But I cannot give the whole book away.
And so the book comes down to this:
There is justice to be severed. Debts must be repaid. Desires will not be denied. And not all is what it seems.

PIntriguing and Captivating - excellent 3rd book

Positives- *the story of Meghan continues to get complicated. Meghan has picked Ash over Robbin and hurt feeling abound. *Meghan goes and saves her "Dad" that was taken away from her when she was little. It turns out to be more of an undertaking then she thought. *Ash is still an upstanding guy and I will say that he becomes her knight. It was very sweet and worth shedding a few happy tears over. *Robbin comes to their rescue again, but has a small bitter streak he must get over. *Ending is not at all what I expected, which leave me wanting more.... The question that won't leave me is Will Ash and Meghan be together again? Yes, it is a twisted plot.
negatives: *(not really a neg, but just warning) really intense plot and you will want to pay attention to catch it all. Can't read at a glance.
"My name is Ashallyn'darkmyr Tallyn, third son of the Unseelie Court...Let it be known--from this day forth, I vow to protect Meghan Chase, daughter of the Summer King, with my sword, my honor, and my life. Her desires are mine. Her wishes are mine. Should even the world stand against her, my blade will be at her side. And should it fail to protect her, let my own existence be forfeit. This I swear, on my honor, my True Name, and my life. From this day on..." His voice went even softer, but I still heard it as though he whispered it into my ear. "I am yours."
"His forehead bumped softly against mine, his brilliant silver gaze searing into me. “I plan to keep you, from everyone, for as long as I’m alive. That includes Puck, the false king, and anyone else who would take you away.” One corner of his mouth quirked, as I struggled to catch my breath under his powerful scrutiny. “I guess I should’ve warned you that I have a slight possessive streak.” "A soft noise, almost a sob. Ash rose, hesitated, as if fighting the compulsion to obey. "I will always be your knight, Meghan Chase," he whispered in a strained voice, as if every moment he remained was painful to him. "And I swear, if there is a way for us to be together, I will find it. No matter how long it takes. If I have to chase your soul to the ends of eternity, I won't stop until I find you, I promise."
