I don't even know what to say about that fourth novella... Well first I want to talk about Arobynn. He is such an interesting and complex character. I know that I'm crazy because Arobynn did awful things to Celaena but... I'm really drawn to this character and I hope we'll see him in the second book. I kind of love and hate at the same time Celaena and Arobynn's relationship. And now Sam... The ending of the third novella and the beginning of this one was too good to be true. Sam and Celean's realtionship is one of my favorite now and that's huge since it's a relationship in novellas so it's too short :(. Sam... I loved him ... and that's why this novella hurts so much... The meaning of Celaena's motto "I will not be afraid"... Omg it's so painful when I think about it now. I don't even want to reread Throne of Glass because I think i'm gonna cry. Yes I'm rambling and those who didn't read these novellas or the book don't understand what I'm talking about... I cried so much while reading that novella... I think I've never cried so much reading something... I know it would come to that but still it was painful... I think it's one of the most heartbreaking story that I've ever read. It's crazy because two days after finishing that novella one night I was thinking about it and I cried again !!! Just thinking about it !!! Reading the prologue and the epilogue was painful too... I will never forget these novellas ! (less)

In this one we discover another type of assassin : the silent assassins. I also loved the atmosphere of the desert, her training with the mute master... It's a novella about betrayal, pain but also friendship and trust. I fell in love with Sarah J. Maas writing with this second novella. (less)

Sam and Celaena's relationship evolves and again it's heartbreaking because I know how it'll end... I just love Sam. I think I love him even more than Chaol... The intrigue and plot about the whole slave affair and meeting was really good. At the end I was flabbergasted. I didn't see it coming at all ! I felt betrayed just like Celaena...(less)

There is adventure, suspense, kick ass characters... and pirates !! I loved the fact that Celaena has a pretty badass reputation but no one can see her face and know her name. I finally met Sam !! I had so much questions unanswered after reading Throne of glass and I really wanted to know more about that character. But it's kind of heartbreaking because since I've read the book I know how it'll end...(less)

I really enjoyed reading it because I loved the characters, the plot, the setting (New York :D), the holiday theme (I love Christmas). It's the perfect book for Christmas season and holidays by the way ! The characters are very well developed and I could totally identify to Lily especially her social difficulties at school because I was exactly the same at her age. The idea of this red notebook is so clever and interesting. I loved reading what they wrote in it. The concept of a dare book is very charming.
I'm not a huge fan of contemporary books but Dash and Lily's book of dares is probably my favorite contemporary novel now (with Where she went by Gale Forman). When I finished reading this book I wanted more ! I discovered that Rachel Cohn and David Levithan wrote other books together such as Nick and Norah's infinite playlist (made into a movie) and Naomi and Ely's no kiss list. I really want to read these books now ! Their combined writing was so great. I did some research and found out that (well it's pretty obvious but good to know) Rachel wrote the Lily's POV and David wrote Dash's POV. Both of their writing captivated me.
I loved this book so much that I think i'm going to buy a physical copy in October when it'll be published in England (i'm almost sure that I'm going to reread this book during my Christmas holidays) !
I got this book on Netgalley. Thank you Harlequin UK ! This book came out two years ago in the US but it is coming out in October in the UK ! (less)
