Marrock. One of King Arthur’s knights. Maybe used to be the “love them and leave them” type. Until the day he slept with, and left, the wrong woman. Or witch, in his case, Morganna. Obviously none to happy about it, Morganna curses him to immortality.
Now fast forward to present day. He has lived in isolation, after having everything taken from him, being kicked out of court, and watching his loved ones die, he lives in solitude, does not form bonds with anyone as he knows he will eventually lose them. But one day, he sees Olivia, and her eyes are the same eyes he’s been remembering for the past 15 centuries. Morganna’s. He believes her to be the witch who cursed him. However Olivia is just an American human, who has moved to London in search of her heritage. After the death of her mother she finds out who her father is and goes to London to find him. And she does find out where she came from, as she is descendant of Morganna Le Fay.
I really like the premises of this whole new world. There’s magic, there’s fae. I enjoyed the fact that the book had a mystery feel to it, with a lot of twists and turns, and I didn't expect how things would turn out and unfold, which was great! The one scene in the hallway with Bram walking up the stairs (great!). And towards the end where there’s more action it got really good.
I thought Marrock was a bit of a brute, I understand why he’s bitter, I understand why he doesn’t have any personal relations skills, so in a way I thought he was cute in his big brute ways. He does have issues with trusting Olivia, and although understandable, I thought they went on too long. The lack of communication and mistrust was getting a bit frustrating at times, but I could see Marrocks point completely.
I liked Olivia just fine. She struggles with believing that Marrock can love her, even after they perform the mating ritual. This also felt a bit repetitive. Onto the other characters: I LOVED Bram! Sabelle and Ice, I could see some sparks maybe in the future. Shock, he's hot and I'm still confused (and that's all I'm going to say). Caden, sounds very promising ;)
I loved the ending and how things fell into place and I'm looking forward to book 2. (less)

This book was a recommendation from November's Pick It For Me Challenge. I ended up reading a different book for the challenge, but this one seemed like a good story and I couldn't be happier right now that I chose to read it.
There was hot, explosive and raw chemistry between the hero & heroine. I liked Emily's character (shrink for the Others, Monster Doctor, LOL) and the fact that, while being human, she can sense/feel SBs (Supernatural Beings). Colin also did a very good representation of a shifter, of course I had figured out what type he was, and don't really know why it was a big secret!
I had suspicions about a couple of different people being the killer throughout the book, the actual killer among them a couple of times but I ended up dismissing him.
I can't wait to read more about this series since we also met some pretty interesting characters (McNeal) that I wouldn't mind reading more about.(less)

Which I had to do a double take because after reading the prologue I thought it was a story about Imogen and Ryder. So after I got over that and realized who the story was about, I didn't really like Suzanne, Tamara's best friend. And after going through the book, I still don't like Suzanne. So I'm not looking forward to reading her book.
Now back to this story and characters. We find ourselves in the world of professional race car driving. Tamara was married to a somewhat of a legend Pete Briggs, who died during a race accident. She has 2 beautiful and sweet kids, she hasn't dated since Pete's death, she has a lot of insecurities about her age, her looks, her body, her image, her duty, responsibility, etc.
She then meets Elec Monroe, youngest son of another legend, and who's father and Pete's father used to be friends but now are enemies and the families are supposed to hate each other. He is also only 26 years old! But he is THE perfect, non-existent guy. He is sweet, and patient, and sexy, and good with the kids, and loves all of her.
Their romance is secret at first, hiding, and meeting to have sex, very hot sex. Their story is the classic contemporary romance, but it was very well written. And for some reason it was sooo fast to read!
I'm not too sure how I feel about reading the other books in the series, I might be interested in Imogen's book (next) but I'm not too sure about Suzanne's book... We'll see how I feel after book 2.(less)

Aisling is such a fun heroine. She reminds me a bit of Stephanie Plum. She's kinda clueless at the beginning, gets sucked into a paranormal world she had no idea existed, and she had always been a part of.
I enjoyed the storyline a lot, it was very different. And for someone not used to reading books about dragons, I loved this one. It may have something to do with the extremely delicious green dragon Drake. He is sexy!
But, the book wouldn't be the same without Aisling's sidekick. A demon she summons, better known as Jim! I LOVE JIM! I want my own Jim, and I want a book of Jim quotes!
This book had me laughing out loud literally so many times people were giving me weird looks and probably thought I had mental issues.
Excellent start and I'll be reading the next book soon! Can't wait!(less)

It took me a little bit to get into it as the beginning was confusing (specially because I had to keep stopping). But once I understood where the story was going I really enjoyed it.
Hugh and Lilith are just destined to be together. They meet while she's a demon *on the job* and he's a mortal about 800 years back. Even then there's something between them and it all comes down to a night where Hugh sacrifices himself for the girl he had a crush on and Lilith wanting to keep him "alive" and not able to make him a demon, bargains with an angel to make him a guardian.
They meet constantly in battles, and Hugh's intention has always been to save Lilith, until he figures to do that he has to kill her, which he does and then "falls" becoming human again. Except she doesn't die, and 15 years later she's back, to help him fight the nosferatu's killing his students, protect his life and friends, and.... she has to kill him for Lucifer.
The characters in this book are all likeable! Lilith is a tormented soul, but she's still able to make light of situations, she's got a really fun and easy going personality and at the same time can be bitchy. Sir Pup is just adorable, a hellhound with charisma, I can't wait to read more about him. Savitri, I didn't quite connect with much, but she's young and she was out of the loop, so I'll wait to form an opinion in her book. I was kind of disappointed when I read the next book is Colin and Savitri. I loved Colin in this book, and even though you could tell they were setting them up as a couple, I had hopes for him and Selah. Oh well...
I'm curious to see where Michael ends up. I want to read his story, there has to be so much there.
And then there's Hugh... Hugh is an honest, kind-hearted, male of worth (yes, it's a BDB reference, but it's the best description that comes to mind for him!). And refreshingly, he's the virgin sacrifice! LOL He has so much love for Lilith, he loves even her demon form! OUCH
I'm really looking forward to see what happens next in this series!(less)

However I'm not giving it a 5 star rating because there was too much old mentality male being a brute and wanting to force himself and his will (among other things) on sweet Emma.
Lachlain is a hot lykae, he's been imprisoned by vampires for a century and a half until he smells his mate and escapes hell to go find her. Emma is half valkyrie, half vampire, very sweet, tender and innocent. He takes her by surprise, kidnaps her, after realizing she is his mate, but he doesn't tell her this. He is now behind on the way of living and technology, language, etc, which is kinda cute to see him work through and he does extremely well and fast.
I was not comfortable with him almost forcing himself on her physically, specially with her being a virgin. It felt almost as if he had no care for her feelings at times in the way he acted and spoke. "I am man, you are woman. You do as I say and that's it!" Emma and Lachlain's chemistry however is always there.
Emma does grow into her own skin by being away from the protective folds of the valkyrie family. They've always babied her and she is now, for the first time experiencing life on her own, protecting herself, making her own choices. And she is faced with a harsh truth from her past while searching for her vampire father. Destiny has given her a hard task and she executes it well, even though if helped a bit by luck.
We meet a new character which I now like, Bowen. I do hope he gets his happy ending, after so much suffering. His character is funny, along with all the fun comments and moments with the valkyrie! I can't wait to read the developing story between Lucia and Garreth! He is smitten, and I'm sure their book will be pretty hot.
We still get to see all the characters as they are always involved. The valkyrie seem to keep marrying the wrong kind according to their standards. The vampires are now at war with the valkyrie all over the world. Ivo is hunting someone and they have to figure out who it is.
For the most part in this book there wasn't a lot of action, it came in spurs, and then we were sitting again while Emma was kidnapped and traveling and experiencing a lot of sexual tension. But I would definitely recommend this series. It's light, fun and sexy.(less)

This book had so many stories happening, it was great! It kept me interested the whole time because it wasn't all about figuring out one thing.
So Kitty is called in to testify in front of Senate, she is no longer part of her pack and cannot go back to her hometown, which means she's taken her show on the road. When she gets to Washington, the local Vampire takes her in offering a place to stay and protection.
We meet Luis, hot jaguar shifter living in Washington. Kitty debuts her TV show, on prime-time national TV (maybe not the way she would've wanted). We find out the true nature of Smith (who claimed to cure werewolves and vampires, etc in the first book). Kitty has to come to the rescue of the Washington vampires, a loner old german werewolf, and more.
Ben and Cormic make *cameo* appearances, and I can't wait to read more about them.(less)

Kitty is not doing her show. You could say she's hiding away in a small town and not facing the fallout of her TV debut. Threatening magical things start happening that she can't explain and seems someone wants to hurt her. At the same time she's upset that someone else has a show like hers.
In the middle of all that she gets a surprise visit from Cormac and Ben. Cormac comes to her with all his trust after putting Ben in a fight with a werewolf who bit him and now Ben is turning and going through the change. Only Kitty can help him cope. Cormac had promised Ben to kill him if this ever happened.
All three of them are locked together in wait of the full moon. The whole time she keeps having moments with Cormac. She wants him, he wants her, but he's fighting that attraction. Until after the full moon when Kitty amd Ben change back and have sex. Cormac knows right away that it happened and acts jealous and leaves them to deal with the threats alone.
I feel that the relationship that startwd between Kitty and Ben is rooted on the fact that he know feels lost and is holding on to her, Kitty was also alone for so long and Ben can give her support and understanding. He can ne pack. But Cormac has to come back and get his chance when he can get over the fact that she's a werewolf. What can I say. . . I'm a sucker for the bad boys and Cormac is just oh so sexy!!!
