She has a quirky, a bit weird and crude personality. She's very smart but doesn't really know how to interact with other people. Ty on the other hand gave the impression of being the carefree player. However, there's a whole other side to his story.
He has dyslexia and was never able to learn to read. And he is actually very thoughtful and a character with deep emotions.
Imogen figures out a topic for her thesis. She will follow the rules outlined in a book on how to snag a race car driver. Of course, she's never been good at flirting, how will she be able to do it. And of course the one driver she decidea not to test the rules with is Ty because she has an interest in the result. But Ty doesn't let her get away with that. He can't figure out what it is about her but he is fascinated and has to have her. Even after finding out what she wants to do for her thesis.
Their sexual encounters are hot, their conversations are hillarious. She really just says whats on her mind. Even though at the end it seemed a bit rushed for them to want to get married. The whole proposal was so romantic and their problems at the end felt real considering they hadn't been even dating that long.
I am not looking forward to Suzanne's book. Even though I didn't mind her character in this book as much, but now she got a bit depressing along with her annoying qualities. Boo hoo you have to go back to work because your ex husband is not supporting you anymore. But I'll get to her book soon enough. I do enjoy this series and how its written!!!(less)

Kitty is not doing her show. You could say she's hiding away in a small town and not facing the fallout of her TV debut. Threatening magical things start happening that she can't explain and seems someone wants to hurt her. At the same time she's upset that someone else has a show like hers.
In the middle of all that she gets a surprise visit from Cormac and Ben. Cormac comes to her with all his trust after putting Ben in a fight with a werewolf who bit him and now Ben is turning and going through the change. Only Kitty can help him cope. Cormac had promised Ben to kill him if this ever happened.
All three of them are locked together in wait of the full moon. The whole time she keeps having moments with Cormac. She wants him, he wants her, but he's fighting that attraction. Until after the full moon when Kitty amd Ben change back and have sex. Cormac knows right away that it happened and acts jealous and leaves them to deal with the threats alone.
I feel that the relationship that startwd between Kitty and Ben is rooted on the fact that he know feels lost and is holding on to her, Kitty was also alone for so long and Ben can give her support and understanding. He can ne pack. But Cormac has to come back and get his chance when he can get over the fact that she's a werewolf. What can I say. . . I'm a sucker for the bad boys and Cormac is just oh so sexy!!!

I just loved Nikolai!!! And we see a completely different side of Angelina in this book as well. They're just so much fun together! Nik is HAWT, he's sweet, he has a lot of patience with Angelina. I love how the "cat" personality comes through in Nik's as well.
Nik's whole family is just a bunch of hilarious, loving, tender hillbillies (as Angelina calls them!) LMAO His father was great, and his relationship with his mom is so funny!
My favorite parts: when the brothers bring Angelina first thepuppy, then they work their way up to deer. When they fall off her balcony! Anytime Nik jumps Angelina in cat form and then shifts right on top of her. When Nik is on the phone working and starts having sex with Angelina... I could go on for a while.
We get to see a bit of Mik and Sara as well! Mik is one crazy girl! LOL I thought it was so funny when they put him in the zoo! OMG!
Nik's brother being in love with Zach's sister.... I would love to read that story!!! Please, pretty please Ms. Laurenston!!!!
I really wish we would've gotten more books in this series.(less)

Wraith has never been my favorite brother. I do like his humor, and find him sexy, but I didn't think I would like his book as much as I did.
Reading this for a second time, I think I enjoyed it even more. Wraith IS a very sweet guy, vampire, demon, whatever. And I actually liked Serena. I might've not liked her as much the first time I read this book, but she's a pretty cool chick. She has a "gift" that while keeps her alive, it also keeps her from living fully.
My favorite quotes from Wraith/Serena:
"Obviously being charmed didn't cure insanity, because this... this was crazy."
"All I ever had before you was nightmares, but now I dream. Because of you." "I've always dreamed, but I never thought they'd come true."
I think my favorite aspect about this book was the "Indiana Jones" feel to the story. Every book in this series has had its own theme, and they all work very well, and seem very believable to be in the same world, while at the same time it keeps the series very fresh.
On to the side story... We finally get a resolution to Gem/Kynan in this book. I love their relationship, I love both their characters, and I'm just upset about one thing.... They should've gotten their own book!
My favorite quote from Gem/Kynan:
"Her resolve almost flew out the window when she saw him. He looked hot as usual, dressed in blue jeans, a sweater and a leather bomber. His spiked hair was wet and he smelled of outdoorsy soap. God she wanted to jump on him. Take him down to the floor and ride him twice before dinner. Resisting the urge to fan herself she ushered him in."(less)

I Love Butch!!! I have since the first time I read Dark Lover and I still do. There's just something about the rough-around-the-edges human that I can't resist!
He's been in love with Marissa from the beginning, and he's wanted to play more of a role in the battle the brothers fight night in and night out, and this book gives him the chance.
I love the relationship building between Butch and Marissa, as well as the deepening of caring between Butch and V. They will always be forever tied to each other as it was destined to be!
As much of a hard ass as Butch is, he is so sweet and soft to Marissa because he knows that's what she needs.
Favorite scenes: - When V is watching Marissa and Butch in the hospital bed. - When Butch finds out that Rehv was the one feeding Marissa and jumps him. - V taking Butch to the hospital and being torn inside because they don't know if he'll survive.
On a side note, I keep hating Havers more and more. First the thing with Wrath, then what he tried to do to Marissa. Why can't he just mind his own business!!!(less)

As expected, I loved seeing Sabina in the mage environment, but even there, she's not free of the politics of every race.
Her twin sister Maisie is adorable, her personality is the polar opposite of Sabina! Adam is still very sexy in this book, and even though we get to see more of him, it wasn't enough, since he was gone for quite a bit of it.
We also meet Adam's aunt, Rhea, who teaches Sabina about her mage abilities. And The Shade, who ends up being Sabina's old co-worker and ex-lover, and even though I don't think she should end up with him, he did provide for some hot entertainment.
Gighul is still my favorite character!!! He's adorable! And I'm so happy he finally gets to meet his own demoness! Even though she seems a bit Pamela Anderson to my taste.
The plot has evolved into a complicated almost-war, and Sabina has set to destroy her grandmother Lavinia! Die! Die! Die!
I can't wait to read Green Eyed Demon! I don't have too long to wait!(less)

The Case of El Chupacabra. Forgive me if this was explained in other books, I might've overlooked it, but I didn't know that Sean Nast was gay. That is actually pretty cool, I'm ok with that and want to see where this will go. I liked seeing Lucas and Paige in a more day to day operation investigating this case, and we also have a guest appearance by Cassandra. It just could've been shorter in my opinion.
Birthright. This is the story of how Logan came to be a part of the pack. It is kinda sad to read more about him, being that we don't get to know him in the series.
Escape. This takes place before book 2, Eve and Savannah get captured, and she will do whatever is necessary to get her daughter out of danger. Except she doesn't quite make it.
Ghosts. These are more of Jeremy's ghosts during Biten. It felt like a deleted scene from a movie, and it was a nice backstory to his character.
Expectations. Who knew Lucas had gone after Eve!! I think throughout this whole book, not just this story, I've learned to like Lucas Cortez a lot more. And in this story, he actually fights Eve, gets away, and steals something from her.
OK, so maybe I lied, I left my two favorite stories for last.
Wedding Bell Hell. This is the preparations for Lucas and Paige's wedding. I never knew he was a bit, somewhat jealous of Adam. The wedding planning was a disaster, Lucas's father was, as always a pain to deal with, but kinda cute. And Savannah was adorable and funny.
Beginnings. If you get this book for this story only, you'll get your money's worth. I LOVED THIS STORY! This is how Clay and Elena first met, first started going out, and became a couple, up until the moment where Clay turns her. So this is obviously before Bitten. I almost would recommend reading this story before you read Bitten. It just made me fall in love with them all over again.(less)

Oh Garreth please throw me over your big strong lykae shoulders and take me away... to a cave... preferrably with a not-so-steady-rock we can break together!
I knew when I read Lachlain's book that I would LOVE Garreth, and it's official now. GARRETH IS MY LYKAE! He's just raw power and sensuality, with the perfect mix of emotions. He cares deeply for his mate who has given him nothing but heartache and, in more than one occassion, physical pain. And he still wants her, has crossed the world and faced all kinds of obstacles to get to her and have her! His determination is admirable, his curiosity is endearing, he's charming and hot and understanding, and.... did I already mention how perfect he is??? You just want to pet him!!!!
She'd been born for him. And I was born to find her.
Lucia is amazing as well. After having gone through a very traumatic experience while still being a child, she has lived milleniums after pretty much repressed and alone and in fear. Except for the past year she's actually wanted something... or more accurately, someone. Garreth. She can't get him out of her mind, even though she knows she can't have him.
And then Nix comes in and throws the whole story up in the air and as always by making a mess of things she manages to get these two finally together.
I loved the text messaging between Regin and Lucia. I loved Nix's phone conversations and reference to her missing post-it notes! There was also quite a bit of action in this book, some giant caimans, a ghost ship in the Amazon, and lots of hot.wet.half-naked lykae! The next book has been set up really well. We get glimpses of all the kidnapping going on in the Lore, and I have to say... I can't wait to read about Carrow! Love her already!
"Understand me, MacRieve, I'm a Valkyrie. I'm not bound by your... animalistic needs." His voice a low rasp, he said, "After one night with me, Lousha, you will be."
"RegRad: gettng tranqued 2nite with the witches. Bet u wish u were here! LOSER!"
"Fine. We can act like we're fuckups idling about. As per our usual. But if we cap a god, I'm telling everyone I know! Two words: Press. Conference." "Lykae in our backyard. Horde vampires seeking out valkyries all over the world. Happy accession!"(less)

At the beginning of this book I liked Trance a lot. The glimpses we get into his mind and his feelings made me feel for him from page 1. However, when we started to throw Rik into the mix, I didn't like her at all at the start. Their relationship eventually develops, and I went through ups and downs between liking them and not liking them. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that some of their sex scenes were just not for me. Maybe it's just that I didn't like Rik 100%. I did feel bad for her and how she's had to live her life. The twist at the end of who she had actually killed I thought was a pretty hard thing to recover from, and I was a bit thrown off about how easy it was after so much tension for things to patch up and for them to end up together. Also, I didn't like that after the collar came off, Rik's personality changed completely.
That being said, I love the secondary characters. After Oz's death in the previous book I couldn't imagine Dev being with anyone else. But, as Oz promised, he has sent someone new for him. Gabe. I just loved Gabe. And did I mention that he has the coolest power!?!? Invisibility. Except he can't control it well. When Dev was watching Gabe and Annika training and Gabe went invisible and next thing Dev feels is hands caressing him.... I almost died. And Gabe is determined, as is Oz and Marlena, to make sure they are together. I wanted to read more and more about these two!
Marlena.... what can I say? Even though she plays a small role in this book, we get a glimpse of what her life is like and the curse that she has. I do want to read the next book as it is her in her new role as a Seducer. Will be interesting to see how that will play in with her curse.
Ryan and Meg were sooo cute. Compared to all the other couples in this series they might be considered a bit normal and vanilla, but there was so much emotion there. It was sweet to see Ryan's memories come back, or how his feelings would show through even when he couldn't remember a thing. And this also ties in ML, who I wouldn't mind reading more about.
Not a lot of action in this book, plenty of sex, there is BDSM, some light, some a bit more extreme, and yes, some m/m. Other ACRO operatives made cameos in this book: Kira, Ender, Wyatt, Faith, Creed and Annika.(less)

In the previous books we never get to see much of Marlena, other than she was Dev's secretary and sometimes lover, and she is cursed with falling in love with any man she has sex with, but her curse also makes sure that that man could never love her.
Chase & Marlena Marlena is now trained as a Seducer and she is sent on a mission to the brazilian forest to help Sela figure out what's going on with a missing military guy. She is supposed to infiltrate this camp and seduce the head of the operation to find out what's going on and free Chase. But Chase has been infected with a "chupacabra" type virus and he is now turning when angered. They also mate for life, and Chase recognizes Marlena as his mate when he first sees her.
Sela & Logan Sela is the expert on chupacabras, even though she doesn't believe in them. She's worked for ACRO for a few years, and she has a special ability to read proples minds and see into their past while they orgasm. So she's back up in case Marlena can't get answers out of Logan. But Marlena doesn't even stand a chase. Logan wants Sela from the first moment he sees her. Even though Logan works for a private company that is supplying weapons to ACRO's enemies, it's run by Logan's father, which means he has little control over it. And he owes them his life, as he was injured almost beyond repair while in the military and they saved his life by making him part machine.
Dev & Gabe We don't get to see much of them in this book to my liking. Dev is a bit disappointed with Gabe's lack of interest and dedication to ACRO and learning to control his abilities, and Gabe decides he has to prove himself by doing something majorly stupid.
Creed & Annika I love these two. Have I said that before? Yeah? Well, I'll say it again. I love them!!!! First Annika is jealous because apparently Creed had sex with Sela (way before Annika), and then we get a *huge* surprise!!!! Won't give anything out here, but this is a big one and very emotional.
I'm really looking forward to the next book, which I'm sad will be the last in the series. Are you sure you don't want to write more???(less)

This is a pretty short and easy read. I thought it would be focused a lot more on inspiration and motivation, but we actually got to read a lot about Queen Latifah's life in general. I think that's the parts I enjoyed the most. It all felt real to me.
Whatever she wanted to teach she did it in a very easy way, mostly through her experience, and her family.(less)

I love the way Ms. Ione thinks, develops and writes her stories. She is truly great at making us feel as if we are in this wonderful world she creates.
Being a dedicated fan, and having read all her previous work, I am not disappointed with this one! Her style is still all over the pages of Eternal Rider, and I am so excited to be back, in a way, in the Demonica world.
Demonica If you thought you would never see your favorite demons/angels/vampires again, you were wrong! It could be because this book involved one my favorite characters, Kynan, quite a bit in the new story; or maybe because we get to see Gem being pregnant and giving birth; or maybe the fact that our sexy demon doctor and paramedic are still around. I loved every single glimpse of the original Demonica characters, and I'm happy to say that if you wanted to keep reading about them, this book feels almost as if the series is still going. Even though I understand they might not be as big a part in future books.
"Your mom is my sunset, and you are my dawn." - Kynan
Another character from Demonica, Runa's brother Arik, also makes a substantial guest appearance. Can I just say... yum!
"Some scholars, including myself, think that the Horsemen's Seals will be broken by Jesus himself, and the Horsemen will lead the way into the end of days, but that's not necessarily a bad thing." "Of course not," Arik drawled. "Every Apocalypse if a party. Bring your own beer, pretzels, and semiautomatic weapons."
Onto the main characters, here's where I was a bit disappointed and didn't give this book a 5 star rating. I just thought Ares was an A$$ for most of the damn book! Argghhhhh I wanted to punch him half the time, he kept fighting his feelings for Cara. But, yes, he was sexy in his brooding ways, and all that leather.
"...and horror of horrors, he realized that he was experiencing some sort of a crush. He needed to kill something." - Ares
Cara was nice and funny. Even though I find most of the time the heroines in Ione's books not to be anything remarkable, she was likeable, and to put up with Mr. Grumpy she would have to be almost a saint. I loved their shower scene and the upside down tree scene and that's all I'm going to say.
"His hand sliced through the air in a silencing motion, and he stalked to the window. "Have you seen any rats?" Her mind spun at the sudden shift of subject. "Rats?" "Rodents that resemble large mice." "I know what rats are," she gritted out. "Why?" "They're spies." He peered through the curtain into the darkness. Thick fog diffused the yellow lamplight, creating an eerie glow on the street below. "Have you seen any?" Rodent spies? The man might be hot as hell, but he was a loon. As inconspicuously as possible, Cara inched toward the door. "I didn't see any furry little James Bonds."
BUT... I absolutely loved, and can't wait to read more about....Limos! OMG I can't wait for her book, she is amazing!!!! This is the first Ione heroine I can honestly say that I LOVE! I'm glad her book is next and we don't have to wait too long for it. Is it December already? And then of course, Thanatos... he's all bad boy, tattoed hotness, wrapped in a HAWT and LETHAL package. I.WANT.MORE!

Kane has has such a turnaround in this series, going from the total douche, asswipe, womanizer to, well... He's a bit older, a bit rouger, a bit sweeter, a lot more caring, and totally in love with one woman. And when he puts all his focus into taking care of her and giving in to his desires... well, that just makes me one jealous girl!
Kane has been mentoring Ginger's son for a few years as part of the Little Buddies program. And throughout this time he's been falling in love with her. She's a successful lawyer, who got pregnant out of marriage and the father of her baby was never present in their lives. She's done everything on her own. Until she falls down the stairs at her building and is left in a cast and brace and needs help. Her father is disabled and can't help her and her son is too young. So Kane steps in to the task and moves right in to her home to help her. But he moves right into her bed too!
I love the fact that they're both mature characters, they're both older, they're 37, they've had so many experiences that have shapen their outlooks on life. They know what they want. There was no doubt in Kane's mind she was the one for him. If anything she was the one a scared of it all. And the sex, well, there's not much I can say other than extremely HAWT!
But there were a lot of emotions to this story more than just their sexual chemistry. Kane truly loved her son and connected with him, cared about him and did things thinking of him. As well as for her father, who wasn't the easiest person to deal with. He truly made her see she was his princess, and there's nothing I would want more than to be in her shoes! LOL Excellent installment in the Rough Riders series and might the spot for favorite in the series, if not first then second place! (less)

I really wanted to give this book a better rating because I loved the story of the KGI in itself and the world so much. However, I find myself giving it this rating because I didn't feel connected to the characters and their relationship. I kept wanting to read more about all the other characters, who I love by the way, than the main characters. Not that the story was not well written and kept me on my toes, I just didn't care what happened to them.
Ethan was sweet, but how could he have thought something so crazy before she died, how could she just be ok with such accusations. It felt a bit like the beginning of the Elite Ops series by Lora Leigh, so if you liked that series you'd enjoy this one, but also with a feel for the family vibe in the Nauti series by Lora Leigh.
I wouldn't classify this book as an erotica read though, they only have sex twice (can't remember now) and it is a touchy subject due to her condition. Which I found was well written.
Sam, Garrett and Donovan, I can't wait for their books! Nathan I'm hoping will end up with Rusty, so I'll give them some time for her to grow up, yeah I know there's an age difference but I can see sparks flying. I think Donovan will end up with PJ, but of course I haven't read book 2, so don't know if that might change.
I also like Rio and Steele even though they're not part of the family. And Sean I wouldn't mind seeing more of his character developed.
Frank and Marlene are so sweet and just nice, and they're all a very tight family.
The action in this book was great! Military suspense at its best and I'm looking forward to reading book 2, which I'm starting right away.(less)

I'm so excited about this book, there are no words to express it! It is my new favorite in the series!!!!! I did struggle just a bit with the last book, and this one took all the loose ends and made sense of everything!
It was action packed, so much happened, so much changed, and then changed again, and again! We got to see a new side to some of our favorite characters, were able to really understand others.
It also has plenty of romance, considering Rachel's love life is such a complicated mess. As a Trent/Rachel fan from book 1, I'll admit this book has something in store for you no what who you want Rachel to end up with: Al, Trent, Pierce or Ivy.
Rachel is really growing into her powers, and as things changed many times as far as where the story can go from here, at the end, I hope she chooses to continue on and explore her powers!!!!
The actual trip across to the West Coast was a riot! However, I did hit a slump in the reading excitement once we were stuck in the Ever After. Don't really know why, because everything that happened there was interesting, I may have to go back and re-read that part again! Maybe among other parts I'd like to re-read ;) hehe (view spoiler)[The kiss!!!!!! I almost fainted when Rachel got into it and pushed him against the refrigerator!!!! Of course, Trent naked coming out of the shower! And then when he was getting dressed to go on his elf quest, with Rachel lusting after him, and he notices her looking and teases her!!! OMG (hide spoiler)]
I don't want to give too much away from the story, so I'll address the characters individually.
Rachel: I was happy to find her back to her usual self, without the constant complaining about whether she's a white witch, or a black witch, and she took care of her own destiny! She was confident, she stood her ground with all the characters and situations.
Trent: We get to see a completely new side of him, or is it just that there's a playful elf underneath all that serious businessman, drug-lord façade? I've always said that he had some growing up to do, and that he slowly had to come to terms with some things, and he's showing us he can def do it! I'm so excited about next books can bring us. And he gives us a surprise that was completely out of left field for me, it just left me with my mouth hanging open!!! What?!?!? Enough said! It was too sweet!!!!!
Jenks: I LOVE Jenks. Every moment, every comment! He's the funniest little pixie around. (view spoiler)[I mean, he gets kidnapped because they want to mate with him!?!?!? And I think it's really cute how there's a moment to express his crush for TinkerBell and he actually goes to her exhibit at Disneyland.... LMAO (hide spoiler)] He has gone through so much after loosing Madelina and I feel that he's adapting well in this book.
Ivy: I was happy to find a little bit of closure to the constant Ivy/Rachel thing, although I've heard it may not be a permanent thing. Don't get me wrong, I think she's cool, and we got to see an emotional side to her, I agree she has to move on!
Bis: I wish we would've seen more of him!!!!
Pierce: I wanted to kill him most of the book. I don't know why I just don't like him, never have, prob never will.
Newt: She's actually really funny!
And last but not least, AL!: He is as funny as always, a liked him a little better in this book. I wish we knew what he really looks like! We also see another side of him in this book and I enjoyed that!
In conclusion, it was awesome, it reignited the spark of this series for me, and CANNOT wait for the next book. Does it really have to take a whole year?!?!?!?!

He is the hard-ass, pain in the ass, commander of the Elite Ops. He's always prided himself of not falling in love, not letting a woman become more important to him than a mission. But we've all seen that throughout the years, he's always had a soft spot for Tehya, fiery redhead, maybe a few years too young for him, but someone who has already been through too much in life, and is now only looking for love.
This book had just the right amount of suspense and action, there was always something happening and I was pleasantly surprised to see a setup for the next series and a new group of Elite Ops being incorporated into this book.
Now... about Jordan and Tehya.... these 2 did not disappoint! They were hot and sweaty *wink* in the living room, in the bedroom, on a chair, on the kitchen counter, on top of a conference table, in the back of a limo, just ..... WOW!
Jordan was a bit too much of an ass alpha male, but nothing as close as what I was expecting, so I found him actually endearing :) Tehya did show a side I wasn't expecting, she was very vulnerable, maybe after too many years of rejection, and she didn't give him the spark she's showed throughout the series. I was missing that.

I think I'm in the minority for this but I wasn't too crazy about this book. We had such a long wait, the last book was already a bit dull, and then after all my excitement over finally getting to read Hunter's story we get this.
Here's my problem. Hunter never had a normal life, he is not very open about his relationships with others, he is a little closed off. I wanted a mate for him to have Mira's personality! No, I don't think it should've been her specifically, but someone like her. She brings out a softer side of him, a side that can have fun and relax and just enjoy life.
In the choice of Corinne as his mate, well, she is damaged. She is a breedmate that was held prisoner by Dragos for a really long time, and forced into sex, and even pregnancy with the Gen One they were using for breeding to create Dragos's army. She was also separated from her own child at birth. She has been through a lot. And for most of the book I felt that she was just using Hunter to further her own goals, not necessarily for love.
Yeah, eventually I did feel a connection between them, but it didn't have the same feel to me. So that's my two cents about their relationship. And, one question that came to mind is "How many Gen Ones did Dragos have?" Because I thought there was one that was being used for breeding with the females, and if that's the case, and Hunter is also the son of the Gen One, would his father have been the one that had raped Corinne for years and actually gotten her pregnant? Would her child be Hunter's brother? I'm hoping he had other Gen Ones and this is not the case because I couldn't get that picture out of my mind while reading!
OK, now Sterling Chase... I feel for him. He has reached rock bottom. In a way I think his story is going in almost the same direction as Tegan's, except his mate sounds really spunky! I can't wait to read it and see what happens, I'm really excited about it.
In general this book felt really slow, it dragged a bit and I found myself bored at times. I do hope Chase's will be awesome!(less)

I was so excited to get this book, and start reading it as soon as it came out! I've been on Cat & Bones withdrawals because the 4th book in the series was a bit mehh, and then we got 2 books in the Night Huntress World spin-off, and I was not so happy with Spade's, and I did liked Mencheres.
But here we are back with Cat & Bones.... Ahhhh... Opening scene... LOVED IT! I wouldn't mind having him shackled to a cave wall! After that though it started going really slow for me.
The story was ok enough, but it wasn't GREAT. I had really high expectations for this book, and didn't feel like it met them 100%, even though it was a good book (I did rate it 4 stars!) I mainly feel like Cat lost some of her spark and spunk from the beginning of the series, and she didn't feel like she was as confident. And although she was funny at times, sometimes she got a little on my nerves. And that's not good since we're getting the story from her POV.
Bones was amazing in this book however! OMG! I'm in love with him, he can do no wrong! His connection to Cat felt rekindled in this book where it was a bit lacking in the last NH book. And yeah, of course, that brings up the elephant in the room... Chapter 21!!!! I knew before hand from comments on GR to watch out for that chapter, so I paid extra attention, I might've read it twice ;) It was HOT, YOWZA, INTENSE and did I mention REALLY HOT? It has been compared to Chapter 32 of One Foot in the Grave, and I'll agree it gives it a run for the money. It all depends on your preferences. I actually went back and re-read Chapter 32 after finishing this book to be able to compare with a fresh image. There's a lot of biting involved in both, except OFITG was Bones doing the biting, in TSOTG was Cat. But biting aside, I think this book gives us a little bit more intense view of what else they were doing aside from all the biting ;) And I loved seeing Bones lose control! Enough said!
One of my favorite lines in the book is from Bones, when he tells Timmy to ask what he wants about vampires but then he says "If you ask me if I sparkle I'll kill you" LMAO!
Vlad... where do I start... He's the best! He had the best lines in the book ("Premature inflammation! Very embarrassing, I don't like to talk about it!" Come on! I was ROTFLMAO) There was plenty of him in this book and I still want more!
Mencheres... 2 things.... 1 - Him having sex with Kira while Bones and Cat where waiting to see and could hear him... LOL 2 - The shorts and t-shirt at the airport?!?!? That I would have to see!
Ian... Not enough of him in this one. I would love to see his character developed a bit more, I know he has to mature before he can get his own book but he has the potential. And I couldn't believe his comment about Veritas... I always picture her as a kid! Even though she's old as dirt.
The twist at the end.... I could've used at least one more page after the last word!!!! WHAT?!?!?!?!? I'm dying to read the next book and see what the hell happened there!!!!!(less)

For Nalini Singh’s tenth book of the Psy-Changeling series, we decided to do something special for this Kiss of Snow review. Since we are all big fans of his series, we decided to write a “review” as an IM transcript. Please note that what you read below is actually a real conversation between Francesca and I and that the opinions expressed here are our own and events that take place did in fact happen.
We hope you enjoy and let us know in the comments if you would like to see more reviews written in this type of format! We’d love to hear your thoughts! On to KISS OF SNOW:
Francesca: I think we need to give a warning to anyone that will read this book!
Annie: Okay, like this? WARNING! This book is so addictive, so sexy that you’ll need an extra change of panties (or two)!! Will require a day’s rest after reading the orgasmic alpha that is Hawke! Bring your gush bucket! You mean like that?
Annie: And a defibulator for when your heart stops beating at Hawke’s sexy words!!
Francesca: Exactly! YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED!! OK, so I think we can start with our fangirl crush. How excited are we to finally have Hawke's book?!?!?!
Annie: Hawke! Hawke! Hawkee!!!! Hawke has been a favourite of mine every since he flirted with the DarkRiver alpha's mate, Sascha.
Francesca: Mine too. I feel like I've waited forever to read his story! Did you always want his mate to be Sienna?
Annie: Hawke has had my heart since the beginning. And NO, I wanted to be his mate. But if there had to be someone, then yes, Sienna was always the one for him. There was no doubt about that. How do you feel about the age difference between Hawke and Sienna?
Francesca: They've been tip-toeing around each other since Hawke took the Laurens' in, and as long as they waited for her to be adult, the age difference was never an issue for me. However I think it was addressed and dealt with perfectly in this book. My only problem with the age difference...We get 50% of what Hawke could've been. What about the romance and all the sexual tension?
Annie: I think the romance starts off from the very beginning. They have great chemistry. They just haven't acted upon it yet, you know?
Francesca: I agree. The build up is actually PERFECT. I like that he's not jumping her every time she offers. LOL
Annie: She's scared of him. He's a sexually potent guy and in addition, he's alpha. She's young too. Plus a Psy.
Francesca: What was your take on Sienna's development in character? From previous appearances in other books and her actions/decisions in this book?
Annie: I thinks she has come a long way. I didn't think I'd like her much. I don't LOVE her, but I don't hate her either. I think....I'm jealous mostly.
Francesca: I'm jealous too, but I'm just a little disappointed that Hawke is not getting the hot book from cover to cover I was expecting, he has to contain himself because he's afraid of scaring her.
Annie: It's not as hot as I thought it would be. But I knew there would be lots of sexual tension and there's plenty of that. I like that Sienna knows she wants Hawke despite her "younger" status. Hawke is infuriating, I love it when he gets angry!
Francesca: Hawke is just TOO SENSUAL, TOO DECADENT, TOO SEXY. I'm a puddle at his feet right now! He can do with me as he pleases
Annie: That's so true! I wouldn't change Hawke given the chance. I thought he was so sexy, so irresistible, I couldn't get enough of him! (Cue the swooning, please) And what about the sex scenes? Yeah?
Francesca: Hawke is a SEX GOD!
Annie: Lots of groans and "Ohh my GOD!!!" moments for me. I had to take frequent breaks to control myself.
Francesca: He's soooo alpha. I was literally panting through the last 25% of the book.
Annie: Gah! Yes! The ending was... wow! I have no words. Beyond anything I could conjure up myself. Action-packed is an understatement. I know you're a big fan of Riley and Drew as well, after reading this... who's your man now?
Francesca: That's a tough question. Can I just keep all 4??? You forgot to include my man Judd in there! You know, something I loved about this book is how we still get to see Judd, Riley and Drew involved in the storyline.
Annie: How would I forget sexy Judd?! And I won't judge if you want them all! I'd do the same! Speaking of others in the storyline... What did you think of Sascha?
Francesca: She was a bit different in this one. I liked how they're slowly showing us her relationship with Nikita developing and maybe even unfolding things that could've been in the past. Nikita may have a heart after all! I think she loved Sascha from the beginning and was protecting her. And what about Lucas?
Annie: I liked Lucas's protectiveness in this one. Loved that he would do anything to protect his woman and child. It was endearing and hot, showing that animalistic side that I don't think we always witness with the level-headed alpha. Okay, if Lucas and Hawke were dueling it out, who do you think would win?
Francesca: Definitely Hawke!!! I personally think he is a tougher alpha, at least from what we saw in this book.
Annie: Hawke was amazing!
Francesca: I'm curious to see what you thought of the Psy in this one!
Annie: Is it just me or don't the Psy seem more dead and emotionless than they did in previous books? So devoid of anything. Creeps me the hell out.
Francesca: Yeah I agree. Pure Psy and Ming are getting very bad!! But the arrows have some feeling!
Annie: I'm very interested to see how that plays out! My mind is still trying to wrap my brain around who the ghost is.
Francesca: I was pretty sure it was Kaleb before. And I'm still 70% - 75% on Kaleb, but after this book, Vasic is starting to look like another likely possibility. But I just want Kaleb to get a book!
Annie: What about Walker and Lara? Aren't they so sweet together?
Francesca: Lara and Walker were such a nice addition to this book. I thought they were getting their own book before, but I think their story kept the sexual tension going! Loved it! Walker is so strong and sweet and loyal. I loved to see him caring for Lara all the time.
Annie: They had their own bit of tension going on themselves. I loved it! It felt like an added bonus to an already sexy book. Who do you think should get their own book?
Francesca: RIAZ!!!!!! Right now I'm liking his character the most. Mysterious and sexy! So maybe Riaz and Jem??? What do we think about that? I want Riaz to get a mate! LOL He seems so intense. Have we seen Jem before? And after giving him some time to grow up more, I think Kit will have a really hot book.
Annie: LOL! Yes yes! I want more of both!
Francesca: Which brings me to my next question... We met a lot of young wolves, who did you like best?
Annie: Hmm Tai. Kid’s growing up quick!
Francesca: I think Evie (Indigo's sister) sounds like a really cool character. I hope she gets a story even if she doesn't end up with Tai.
Annie: Even if they don't end up together, I would still want to read about them.
Francesca: I also liked that we get to see the dynamics of the SnowDancers as a pack. The strategy, the meetings, the caring for each other...
Annie: Sooo....Team DarkRiver or Team SnowDancer?
Francesca: You should know my answer to that! SNOWDANCER.
Annie: Ok ok I did know that. Me? I'm Team Changeling! LOL I can’t decide!
Francesca: I’m laughing my ass off now. Apparently my boyfriend has our convo on HIS phone somehow and he just told me that there’s this Annie girl texting him about some Lucas dude.
Francesca: He says we’re both retarded! Then he started laughing, LOL!
Annie: This is so embarrassing! Omg, tell him I’m sorry. Next time I text him, I’ll talk about a chick instead, LOL!
Francesca: Okay, he said he’ll respond to that and you can be his secret lover!
Annie: LOL, you got it baby! I wonder what he thought about the gush bucket comment. Never mind. I don’t want to further embarrass myself.
Francesca: OMG I can't stop laughing! Alright, so I have one last question for you... Is it just me being extremely weird, but I have a thing for the RAT, Teijan, what about you?
Annie: Me too!!! Maybe he'll get a book soon? What do you girls think about him? Tell us in the comments!
Francesca: Well, I think we're done! And I'm still Team SnowDancer. What team are you on? VOTE BELOW!!!!
"How was dessert?" she asked, her throat a husky reminder that she'd screamed at the end. A flash of teeth. "I plan to go back for seconds in a bit." She sucked in a breath. "Bad wolf." Sliding down his hand, he tugged at her damp curls. "Hungry wolf."
Her heart, her damned vulnerable heart, had been his from the day she understood what it was he incited against him. She had no true shields against him. Never had. Never would.(less)
