it turned out it did what i just expected . the book has one interesting prose. a teenage boy killing his own family not knowing why or what his real motives are. it got me really really hooked just by reading the summary and as i read on the pages of the book it seems like this book was in a quick phase unlike my previous encounter with the Gone Girl. i was not bored reading it and reading different prespective fron Patty, Ben and Libby made this book have variety and didn't get me bored.
the book features abuse, sex and devil worshipping the book was twisted I have no idea some people think like that. (Diondra was the most twisted of them all) the book will not be from Gillian Flynn if it wasn't twisted, it was also disturbing made me flinch and take deep breaths while reading it . The book just held a really deep meaning like things that made me feel really uncomfortable that I feel like the ending for me didn't make me feel satisfied, i still think gone girl has a far better twists and turns and has a good ending than this one....more
i just happen to bump in to this book by accident, i just happen to saw the fifth book of the series on booksale and i was intrigue the prose is realli just happen to bump in to this book by accident, i just happen to saw the fifth book of the series on booksale and i was intrigue the prose is really interesting filled with mystery that i am craving for and i am reading Game of thrones and the book is way way long and i like to get my mind on some things else. and by golly this book made me forget everything. the book is told from the perspective of a 12 year old girl, Cathy she's narrating how perfect her life is, having such loving and caring parents, she has brother and other twin siblings, but that changed when his father died in a car accident.
well actually i have never encountered a book as twisted as this, (another FIRST) awed at first, but then again even how wrong in every angle the plot and story is, it still captivates me, i want to read on and on and on until i finish the damn thing! i can't explain why, but the story is so god the book itself has mystery in every page you just have to savor ever bit of it just to satisfy yourself. it was that good but most of the time i feel frustrated in every page cause i just feel so sorry for the Dollanger kids. Kids of their age shouldn't experience that kind of sadness and torture. Filled with false hopes and dreams that one day their Momma will take them out of the attic and be filthy rich.
and I hate GRANDMA and MOMMA Foxworth. YES! i would beat and kill them if ever such people exist in this world. they are pure evil and i can't bear the inhumane things they did to the Dollanger kids, really! they beat them, starve them and lock them up in the attic. i can maybe tolerate how the Grandmother did this to them, but i was about to burst out of range when I have learned the awful truth that even the Mother is planning on killing her own kids cause she could keep her inheritance. BY GOLLY! that BITCH DESERVE TO DIE AND ROT IN HELL!
as for y'all who want to read this, the book is very very twisted, and you're in for a ride. it talks about abuse, incest and a lot of inhumane things that surely not of a typical person would think of doing. but yeah it is one hell of a book and surely i'll remember this one forever. i heard the couple of books in the series is even more controversial and even twisted as this one... but i am for the second book and see how the story of the Foxworth children will be. and we'll see if i still get to love this series or hate it as i read the next book of the series....more
This is my first YA book that talks about ghost, i've been reading goosebumps ever since, and R.L Stine really contributed a lot of ghost stories in mThis is my first YA book that talks about ghost, i've been reading goosebumps ever since, and R.L Stine really contributed a lot of ghost stories in my childhood, so this is my first YA ghost book, i was expecting to be scared and ready to have nightmares when i finished reading this, cause the book cover really gave me the hibbie gibbies it's like some demented kid carve out the words "cryer cross" in his desk, and the cover kinda reminds me of freddy kruegger the guy in nightmare at elm street cause he is fond of scaring his victims in a school setting.
so anyway, this book is about Kendall and her issues with her OCD, the concept of the book having a character who has OCD is something that i really liked, cause i think i have slight OCD myself but not as bad as Kendall's so in a way i can relate to the main character on how she multiple checks everything and organize everything and over thinking things.
the ghost story in this book is kinda OK, there is a part of the book that is written from the "WE" perspective which is assume were the ghost, and what they are saying is kinda scary cause i really feel their hunger for vengeance and freedom, when the real story is revealed it's kinda sick and it surely gave me goosebumps. I don't know the story is good in a very twisted way.
i gave the book 3 stars because the first couple of pages is just about Kendall grieving and confused with the loss of her Best friend and she starting to hear alluring voices that is drawing her in and i guess i was wanting more from the story. i wish the story is longer. i recommend this book to guys and gals who wants a good tiny bit of scare.

I was so excited to read this book cause for the first time i saw its cover i was so in love with it, never have i seen a very dark book cover, like the cover is enough for me to presume what is the story all about, i actually have this book's cover as my wallpaper on my phone (yeah, yeah i am that obsessed ^^ ).
anyways, let's proceed with the review... the book is actually about Cas Lowood who has the ability to slay ghosts, actually he slays ghost for living, until he met the ghost named Anna, Anna dressed in Blood...
ok, i really enjoyed reading this YA Novel, it's actually my first time to read a YA lit about ghosts, the first couple pages of the book is actually the moment when you really have to grasp the book to keep up with everything, i really find the first couple of pages of the book a bit more climatic than the middle part of the book.
i fing Anna a very interesting kind of ghost, the way Cas' describe her is really interesting he is like a ghost that is pretty with a dark edge to it, i can describe her a "Deadly yet Elegant" i was actually mostly looking forward to her story, like how was she killed? what was her life before she became a ghost, and thank god the author provided the most detailed and substantive information regarding my questions, when you know Anna Kurlov's story you will go like "OMG!! this is so much like Carrie's story!" (you know Carrie? the old classic horror movie with the shy and timid girl who turns psycho cause she was spilled with blood while being awarded as prom queen) that is how much Anna's story s like it was shocking, . On how was she killed, it never crossed in my mind that she was killed.
another thing i appreciate about this book is that reading from Cas's POV is really how i expected a boy to think, lot of swearing, curses and stuff like that, i like it cause coming from an author that is a girl (Kendare Blake is a girl right??) writing a novel from a guy's POV is kinda hard and as far as i know many girl author fail to deliver a smooth POV from a boy as their main character. so two thumbs up for ms.Blake you have really done a good job in writing this one fantastic novel. I am mostly looking forward on how cas and Anna's blossoming romance would be like, although it kinda bothers me on how Cas can fall in love with a ghost, not just a ghost but a DEADLY GHOST, but i guess that is the power of love.
i Guess I am not the only one that's looking forward for the next book, Girl of Nightmares has still have an indefinite date on when will it be published, kyaaa!! I am also looking forward on what will be the cover be like... :))

BEAUTY + MADNESS= UNWIND
Connor,Risa and Lev are normal teenagers but what made them different from other teenagers is that they are branded to be unwind, but what is an unwind? if you look it up in a dictionary unwind is the thing you do when you wanna loosen up, the things you do when you wanna relax or enjoy BUT unwind has a different meaning in this book, a very horrifying meaning...
in the near future in America Unwinding is harvesting organs of teenagers for transplant use, they are sent in a Harvest camp where they are evaluated and kept, and at some point on their stay they are sent to "chop shop" a place where the doctors/nurses/medical team harvest the various organs of the unwinds.
so here's the thing Connor, the main protagonist of the story is determined to escape his fate of being an unwound along his way he met Risa a former StaHo which is great in playing the piano but was scheduled to be unwound to cut the expenses of the orphanage that she's staying cause the orphanage believed that during her stay she met her full potential and he also met Lev, a tithe , which means he is designated to be an unwound as a religious sacrifice. being an unwound doesn't exactly mean that you have to die cause various parts of your organs given to different kinds of people but only a certain part of your body is living through them.
this book is very disturbing, you'll find yourself flinching, twitching, grimacing, wincing in some parts, just the thought of teenagers being sent on a harvest camp and to think that their parents has consent on their unwinding is sick! although this book is disturbing it's being disturbing at it's finest! God this book is genius! the story itself is very original, it's like beauty and madness combined together, at some parts i got to stop but once is stopped i feel like i am longing for the story. i feel like the book is haunting me. LOLZ. this book also introduce me to the terms such as "clappers"and "storking" but what actually got my attention are the clappers they are the term given for like suicide bombers they have some kind of chemical in their blood that will make them explode.
this book isn't entirely about the 3 teens escaping their fate there are side stories like the Humphery Dunfee story which sent shivers through my spine while reading it and of course another disturbing story is the story of CyFi which is like being possessed cause of getting a temporal lobe from an unwound.
i guess a 5 star rating is very much underrated, I'll give this book a millions or even a billion of stars if i have to.! >:) i highly recommend this to dytopia book lovers ...more

i have seen a lot of reviews that this one is very twilight-ish, i didn't believe it cause does the title Deadly Little Secret sound twilight in the making to you??? i don't think so.
but then this is the first scene of the book
the very famous car saving scene in twilight, so i was still in denial that this one is twilight in the making kind of book. but then the resemblance are piling up like:
camelia and ben became LAB PARTNERS. and Ben has this "cold" touch
another one is
the confession in the forest. on what is Ben's Deadly Little secret. *sighs*
so let's cut to the chase this is somehow resembles twilight and to be honest i didn't enjoy reading this book sure there are mysteries on the side, but i find the mystery part predictable, and i don't like the dialogues in this book, maybe may E-book copy is just messed up. but people talk here like kids. (awww. i'm sooo sorry) well maybe the only redeeming thing here is the concept of "psychometry" I find it interesting i didn't know that Rogue's power (from X men) is called Psychometry. *sighs* i'm not up for the second book.. have seen bad reviews of it also, :(...more

Swear this one you'll save Better lock it, in your pocket Taking this one to the grave If I show you then I know you Won't tell what I said Cause two can keep a secret If one of the m is dead…
so this is it?? this is finally over?
the whole PLL series made my world turn upside down , after i finished reading each book in the series i always come up with my own theories on who is A and who murdered Alison but sadly none of my theories is correct. not even one of them is correct ... this last book gave me the creeps and it is seriously twisted.. i feel like i am watching single white female...
who would have thought ALI KILLED ALI ... i mean seriously?? i never saw that one coming! it's actually nice that the clues given in the series is connected until the end of the book. after reading this book. i finally understood what the "sibling problems" Ali is pertaining to, i have it all wrong the first thing that pop in my mind is incest... after reading this book all the clues and "reading between the lines messages" is finally deciphered and revealed and honestly saying it kinda gave me goosebumps when everything is explained.. *shivers*
i'm happy everything turned out well for the four girls ...
and BTW Courtney is a freaking evil genius!!!
4 more books to be published by sara Sheperd in continuation of the PLL series i honestly don't know how can the author will continue the story when everything is so happy,so perfect,so flawless for the four girls I'm guessing that maybe this time there is a new set of girls to be terrorized.
to those who are so itching to know who murdered alison and who is A you can read the ishpoilers below:
(view spoiler)[ Alison dilaurentis actually has a twin sister, her twin sister Courtney has a mental illness and the dilaurentises decided to confine her in a psychiatric ward cause she is getting worse, she keeps on having violent behavior and keep on saying that she is alison but unfortunately Ali's mom mistakenly thought that Alison is courtney since she is wearing her pinky ring with the initial "c" even though Alison hardly insist that she is not COurtney her mom doesn't believe her. so yeah Alison was the one sent to a psychiatric ward and Courtney took over Alison's life....
Alison was so mad at her sister that at the night of the slumber party she shoved courtney to the pit.hence killing courtney. she is supposed to bury her in the pit and get her life back but Ian and Melissa suddenly shown up drunk on their backyard.
so A is MONA (revealed in book 4) 2nd A is Alison (revealed in book 8)
they both got access to the 4 girls' secret cause of Courtney's diary.
well i kinda enjoyed the book. but in the end it really made me confuse it is finally revealed that Spencer mayPerfect the 3rd book of the PLL series.
well i kinda enjoyed the book. but in the end it really made me confuse it is finally revealed that Spencer maybe the one who killed Alison but IDK, this series is just filled with twist and turns. and the book is kinda sad cause A successfully ruined the lives of the 4 girls... hmmm. must read the book 4 then. :)

I mean the first book really like made a major impact on me, up until now I'm still crazy about the story so thank god book 2 didn't quite disappoint me. :)
desires of the dead, in this book we'll get to see a lot of violet and jay moments emphasize the word A LOT! the passion and romance between them is just like 10x more intense and it's cool that the author didn't made the book just not about violet and jay being this "perfect couple" so it kinda freaked me out when they had a fight and their relationship is on the edge of falling apart, sure it made me agitated while reading the book but I think the author made a really good twist to their relationship making you want to rad more but the crime/thriller/mystery part of the book didn't actually made me all hyped up in a way this reminds me of the book Wake.
i gave the book 4 stars cause the only thing that leveled up in this book is the romance we get to see only a little action in this book.

wow!!!! this would have to be the best book that i've red from R.L Stine! at first i thought the plot would be kinda sorority row--like you know the dead would take revenge and kill each member one by one but i was wrong the twist in the middle is so amazing it gave me goosebumps! at first i thought jessie is the one being referred to as twisted but man i was wrong who would have thought that Gabrielle isn't real??? R.L Stine made Gabriella real at the beginning i was so shocked when Abby and Gabriella is the same person!!! i should stop now or i'll say every juicy details of this book.
