at first i think kacey was reallu all over the place she seems unstable and pervy ... i was not liking her one bit cuz she was all over the place. i was about to give the book a bad rating cause it seems like i am reading a perspective of a girl who hates the world.
but that changed when the book featured a different story with coping with things and letting go of the past and drowning your demons along with it , the content of the book is inspirational ,it makes you feel like there's still hope after a very very sad event that happened in your life.
The romance in the book is the kind of romance the you encounter in every chick lit novel ,its just like this time it's different because you get to combine two dark characters. at first you didn't think that their chemistry will go well because you combined bad to bad people who just collided with each other and found solace with each other the Romance is different that way but you still feel the butterflies and giddiness after reading it and after reading this book you should feel like you should fall in love also.
I am ending this review by telling you that you should read it . you will not regret reading it . it is really worth it . i am signing up myself for the next book featuring Livvie.(less)

would you call me somehow cray-cray if I tell you that this book was good.? oh goodness! this book is twisted and perverted and made 50 shades seems like child's play. but the thing is the book just talks about the whole issue of human trafficking in a whole new side, it was graphic and descriptive. made me take away my innocence of the said issue. it was not what I expect but still I find this book really good, made me see things in a whole new light.
the whole romance in this book was completely unexpected. it was really crazy! I mean hello? would you fall for someone who just happen to like uh. rape you? abused you, and like sell you to be a sex slave. uhm no I think not!!!! no just no! . this is one thing that I just dont get while reading this. I am seriously not fangirling over caleb and kitten.
overall: the book was a mindblowing experience. not suggested for youngsters, since pornography and descriptive perverted things are illustrated. the ending is not what I expect. but I think I am not in it for the next book. my mind is not yet ready to see more of what I just saw in this book.(less)

i am trying my best to not spill out somre spoilers, but if you've seen the movie jawbreaker<\i> it would pretty much sum up the whole story of this book...
you've got to read it if your in for romance and mystery and teenage drama. :)(less)

I feel like my rating in this book is very questionable. The story starts with this married couple on their 5th wedding anniversary. Amy (The wife) went missing leaving only subtle and vague clues on her whereabouts. It seems interesting at first. I mean. I just love mystery so much, and part of reading this is because of that reason. in the back of my mind I was thinking " This will blow up my mind!" but what happened to me is exactly the opposite. When I was reading this book I was always on the verge of sleeping every time I grab my ebook copy of it.
But the book got interesting on the second part. I mean on this part of the book, you will think all kinds of vile things that you can think about Nick and Amy. I was really confused on what the plot of the book is. I can't begin to muster what really happened to him. but... (view spoiler)[ It turns out that Amy is framing her husband on killing her cause she caught him having an affair on his 23 year old student. (hide spoiler)]
The story was good. don't get me wrong it has an unbelievably twist on the near end part. I would have given it a 4 or 5 star rating, but I was just so bored when I was reading this one. so minus two stars for the book. just one tip of advice who is about to read it. JUST BEAR with it while reading it, trust me it gets boring, a lot of dialogues are here and there. but It'll get good I can guarantee that.
I guess no one will guess what really happened to Amy. the whole secret lingering in this book will just shocked you. I never saw that shocking twist at the end. I just have such indescribable emotions as I am at the peak of the conclusion. but yeah. if it wasn't for the boring opening I would have loved this book even more. :|["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>(less)

I was actually disturbed on how was the first book is written , and i was expecting this book to be as twisted and as creepy as the first one. but NO! it surpassed on how crazy the first book was. Golly! i never expected it to be this way. Cathy is like an unleashed, untamed animal hungry for revenge! (and by that i love her so much) teehee, ow, don't get me wrong I hate Cathy for being all over the place, she is like sleeping with every man she ever encounter like eww.! (she even slept with a 40 year old guy, like sleeping with your brother is not enough gee...) even as questionable the content of the book is, even the taboo is all over the place. still. I loved the ending so much! GOSH! is Cathy becoming really crazy and twisted like her mom?! by the little act she pulled at the end of the book i am half convinced myself that maybe she is a Devil's Spawn. REALLY?! seriously! I am telling you! she is about to lose it. yikes!
I really like how this book is written, you know? kinda discreet even though it contains a questionable content, and i really like how the book highlighted Cathy's thirst for vengeance. whew! she literally blames everything to her mom! Every unfortunate event she encountered it all leads back to her mom! as much as i want to read the next three books. i can't seem to find any copies of it. *curses*. overall this book is such a ride. it'll make you sick. I promise you that but then again at the end you will fill satisfaction. That I can guarantee. :P
THE BOOK IS TWISTED BUT I STILL LIKE IT. BY GOLLY! MAYBE I AM TWISTED MYSELF. HAHA! REVIEW TO COME(less)

well actually i have never encountered a book as twisted as this, (another FIRST) awed at first, but then again even how wrong in every angle the plot and story is, it still captivates me, i want to read on and on and on until i finish the damn thing! i can't explain why, but the story is so god the book itself has mystery in every page you just have to savor ever bit of it just to satisfy yourself. it was that good but most of the time i feel frustrated in every page cause i just feel so sorry for the Dollanger kids. Kids of their age shouldn't experience that kind of sadness and torture. Filled with false hopes and dreams that one day their Momma will take them out of the attic and be filthy rich.
and I hate GRANDMA and MOMMA Foxworth. YES! i would beat and kill them if ever such people exist in this world. they are pure evil and i can't bear the inhumane things they did to the Dollanger kids, really! they beat them, starve them and lock them up in the attic. i can maybe tolerate how the Grandmother did this to them, but i was about to burst out of range when I have learned the awful truth that even the Mother is planning on killing her own kids cause she could keep her inheritance. BY GOLLY! that BITCH DESERVE TO DIE AND ROT IN HELL!
as for y'all who want to read this, the book is very very twisted, and you're in for a ride. it talks about abuse, incest and a lot of inhumane things that surely not of a typical person would think of doing. but yeah it is one hell of a book and surely i'll remember this one forever. i heard the couple of books in the series is even more controversial and even twisted as this one... but i am for the second book and see how the story of the Foxworth children will be. and we'll see if i still get to love this series or hate it as i read the next book of the series.(less)

✔ curiosity ✔ Peer Pressure ✔ Anne Curtis likes loves it. ✔ Rumored to be turned in to a movie (Ian Somerhalder rumored to play Christian Grey) ✔ Talk of the town, New York Times Best Seller, selling like hot cakes in every book store.
I actually made a review full of hatred about this book, but an error occurred and the review wasn't saved (must be a sign *grins)
ALL RIGHT. Fifty Shades of Grey... hmmmm... link any word synonymous to "controversial" and that is fifty shades of grey. The book is a huge phenomena. everyone is talking about it, everyone is reading it. some of them likes it. some of them just plainly loathes the book.
me on the other hand didn't like this book. I've read the first 30% of the book, an i was irked. like ewww. Christian Grey is really horny. but then recently I have no books to read and a certain celebrity keeps on tweeting and she loves the book so much. so maybe i should give it a try, I resumed reading from the 30% I've read last time, well nothing seems to change on each scene they make love fuck, as christian like to call it, but you know what, without the kiny-ness the book would have been a nice romance novel, the two characters are conventional characters that would make up a romance novel. I guess the author of the book doesn't want to stick with the conventional type of story so that's why BDSM is involve in making this. Maybe what people see in this book is that they see it as HOT, cause of the sex scenes and blah.blah.blah but hmmm. i really don't get the whole point of what they are doing, I mean seriously? they just keep of fucking each other without any certain emotions at all (without love to be precise)
I'm fifty shades fucked up - Christian Grey
well yes you are, Mr. Grey , the most unpredictable character EVER! he is plain crazy! the man who finds pleasure in pain. I know he is the ideal guy for every girl, but seeing what Christian is like, really? i'd find someone better. and that's why I am so frustrated with Ana ,she shouldn't settle for someone like Christian Grey, seriously? she'd rather be with someone better, but NO! she'd rather be with someone who has a sever mental condition but maybe Ana has a mental condition herself, like ahhm.. STUPIDITY.
Plot wise the book is not that good also. this in not my first BDSM book, I've read the first book of the Beauty series i gave it two stars cause the writing was good, but fifty shades is never near the writing of Anne Rice, noooooo! the plot is really bad! I don't get the plot at all. no substance whatsoever! maybe the main reason that people like this book is that the book triggers their Libido? maybe. I don't know. but for me the book is really sick, and any relationship should not be like this. should be with love and not making each other as toys and slaves. I don't know if the book will get any better with the next two books. but I am not going to find out, cause I was really pissed with this book. eww... like... ewwww. :( the book is not even worth the time to read.

Ok! this book seem to create a buzz due to its cover, I can't blame them the dress worn by the model was really to die for... OH! that dress is just... just damn! its great! and as crazy as it may seem I think I was drawn to read this book due to the same reason, (Troll Face).
what do I think of the book?
well when I've read the short summary of the book I was like "the book is gonna be like the TV series "The Bachelor" wonder if it will be cheesy?" well it turns out it wasn't cheesy. the first couple pages of the book just focuses on what it's like living in Illea the turmoil and the caste system that is under in their society in a way I felt guilty for thinkinh this book would be like really cheesy and shallow but it's not. You just really feel symphaty for the people of Illea cause I know how the caste system works you are not allowed to ascend in your rank unless you marry someone above your caste. ANd the first couple of book just narrates the struggling and hunger of the people of Illea, In the back of my mind I was saying that maybe this book is not that bad after all, in fact it's like the classy version of the Hunger Games, instead of fighting they get to win the heart of Prince Maxom, enable for them to be entirely rich. so I was greatly enjoying mysef in reading this book. Yeah. But it was cut short until I've read the second part.
The second part of the book, I'll have to say that that's where the cheesy part started to happen, and for me the whole "Selection" process was too long, and I was expecting for a catfight to happen between the girls, but none happened, I guess the second part of the book didn't provide enough details and concreteness, or enough adrenaline rush for me to really, really like this book. But the characters are good, I love them all. America, is a the main heroine in the story, and I guess she is not that bad, she just have conflicting feelings toward the Prince and Aspen. but nevertheless I did like her. she has so much passion in her craft, which is singing. as for the two boys I guess I am more on Prince Maxom's side (Sorry Aspen) well mainly because the book provided more information for him. so I guess I favor him more than Aspen.
The ending was really UNFORGIVABLE! I've read an entire book, and it won't give me enough conclusion of who is selected to be the crown Princess! and I was so damn furios I can't help but say that I've given time to read this book, but it left me no answers... awww!! I was sooooo disappointed, like really, really disaapointed! I hope the secons book will be far more better than this one. :( (less)
I've never been to a circus. NEVER!i think in my country, Philippines I don't know if it's been in our culture to have circuses around, but i think our Local "Perya"/ "peryahan" comes pretty close to what a circus is, as described in the books and as seen in a television. But it never has this kind of elements such as fortune tellers and spell bounding acts in our local "Perya" or maybe I am just a weirdo and such a Homebody that maybe there is a "real" circus lurking in our area that I have no idea that it is there. But nevertheless my close encounter to such circus is the "Peryahan"
This would have to be my second book about circus, the first one is Water for Elephants and the main reason that I've read that book was because it was made into a movie starring Robert Pattinson (call me crazy fangirl) well in this book the main reason that I've read it was because I have seen a lot of reviews saying that it has many surprises and I just happen to love surprises I like it when there will be a part in a book that my mouth will just be hanging open and even though my eyes are sore from continuous reading I'll endure that pain just to read the entire book, and well the circus setting ain't that bad to read. kinda longing for that setting of a book cause it's been a while since I've read a circus related book.
well did the book lived up with the expectation?
I can't give you a definite answer. I mean the night circus IS great. a book that contains an old victorian- adult plot with magic and sorcery on the side. and it is promising but the book is soooooooooooooooo Darn long. and regardless of the number of pages the book is so descriptive that it took me a while to finish it and even conjure on what kind of book this is, cause you see the main plot of the book is about the duel between the protege of the two renowned magicians and the concept of the game is in either you WIN OR YOU DIE. well that is the plot alright. but as you read on there are many sub stories on the side that it is kinda hard to make out on what the book is about. and OH darn, I can honestly say that the book did bore me. I was contemplating on skipping it but then again there are twists in the story and I am looking forward to know on what is the twists in the story. but somehow the twist was nice and promising. not kinda expecting for it to be the outcome of the story.
4 stars for the book:
-the romance was nice. you can feel the intensity of the attraction between Celia and Marco. INTENSE ATTRACTION is an underrated word to describe their romance. OOHHH! trust me.
- Nice sorcery and magic. feels like I am reading Harry Potter (cause of the sorcery in it) and not mainly focused on the circus acts but it has some kinda sorcery in it.
- Nice set of Characters.
don't read this one if you don't like long descriptive books that can bore you out. cause the downside of the book is I guess no pumping adrenaline in any page.
one piece of advice read this one on your own risks. not saying the book is entirely bad just very slow paced. but has Magic and surprises on the side that can make your mouth hang open. :D (less)

This would have to be my first Love Story Book I have read for 2012. This one kinda disappoint me, cause I was actually expecting this book to really answer the Question that's been intriguing me like
"can Love at first sight actually does exists?"
turns out the book didn't even give me even a slightest hint if such thing/phenomenon does exist.
the book is like Anna and the French Kiss, I mean the story line has the same flow, so I was expecting that It'll be as good as the book, but as it turns out, it was great in the first couple of pages, really gives me this giddy factor, but as I read on it turns out that the book is like really too good to be true, like the events stated in the book is not really possible to happen in real life, I know this is a fiction book, but some books that I've read at least contain a bit of realism to them, but this one is just, well. Too impossible to occur in any Human living on this planet.
I gave it 3 stars cause the first couple of pages is good, and there was a sense of unpredictability in the plot, but as everything goes on, everything just gets crappy and I didn't like it.
after reading this my judgement of the probability of love at first sight would probably be like Zero to none percent that it would happen in real life. meh. :|(less)

WOW! I really can't believe I have read the 10th book of the PLL series, as all of you have known I am not a huge fan of the Previous book, (twisted) i just feel that the 4 girls of Rosewood is as annoying as will ever be. But yeah, I really can't resist reading PLL cause it is one of my fave mystery/chick lit book, i just wish that Sara Shepard just ended the series @ Heartless *Sighs*
anyways. what to say about the book, I would really like to point out that it is really nice that Ezra Fitz was back in this book, besides from I love the chemistry between Ian Harding and Lucy Hale in the TV series, I happen to like them first on the book, so I was I really thrilled that Aria X Ezra is back. But if you have read some book of the PLL series this one still contains the same element like having bitch fights , non-stop hook ups and of course the never oh-so undead A is still lingering in this book, (Sheesh she is so darn indestructible!) but I have to say that this one is better than the first cause I guess some characters have really grown up, but they still have the inner Ruthlessness to themselves, I mean these girls will just do about ANYTHING just to get away their misbehavior.
In a way I did enjoy reading this one, although it took me like 4 days to finish it, i still like the mystery in the book I really don't know who A is now, GOSH! i really have to come up with my own theory sooner or later. >:) I'm still looking forward for the next books to come. :D

in this book we are introduced to the main character Collin who is a genius he pretty much know everything he speaks 11 different kinds of language but his passion is linguistics he likes to make anagrams out of people's name or maybe just random words that he just saw or encounter. My thoughts about Collin's character. I like Collin sure he is selfish brat and a washed up child prodigy but i liked it when his character shows that even though you are good at something you still are not considered THE BEST, sure at the age of 3 Colin can read he won a Quiz bee TV show but he still didn't get what he wants, he is not internationally known as the smartest kid in the whole universe, and most especially he got dumped by 19 Katherines.
Hassan and Colin are really two peas in a pod i just love those guys I would really really love to have a friend like Hassan, he always got Colin's back. the lines of the two guys is just something really quirky and funny.
the plot of the book is really refreshing, i have read Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns i was kinda shocked that the book was written in a 3rd person POV not unlike the two books that i have read from John Green. but still the elements of what makes John Green likeable are still there you get a laughing moment each and every time you flip the page of reading this book.
what i appreciate most in this book is that the idea that no two persons are alike. There are times when we get attached to a certain person and eventually there is also a time that we have to let them go, and enable to move on our instincts tend to look for someone who has the same qualities and traits, but eventually we also fail cause in this world there are no two persons alike each and everyone of us has a unique and special kind of identity *wink* (LOL)
lots of reviews that I've read that this novel is just like the exact same clone of other novels from John Green. But let me tell you that what makes John Green,John Green. i did enjoy this one even though it has similarities of his other novel but i guess that's what i like the most about John Green he always deliver a good story and still gets a few laughs out of it lots of message you will get just by reading a single book.
so this one would have to me my fave out of the 3 novels i have read from him. (less)
OH MEN! this book is really awesome! another great post apocalyptic dystopia genre of book I have read.
this book actually remind me of The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness cause the writing style is pretty much the same. It was actually frustrating at first cause all of the characters in the book talks the same unlike in Patrick Ness's book some characters don't talk like Todd. their vocabulary is pretty much composed of this
git = get hafta= have to stummick=stomach ezzackly=exactly fer=for caint=cant
oh gosh! how frustrated i was while reading it. haa! all of them talk like that. The plot of the book is the one pretty much left me hanging on while reading it. The first part of the book is Engaging, filled with lots of action scenes on just the opening of the book and the book has its consistency cause the action just keep on piling up until the end. I have really no idea what to expect in a desert setting, i was thinking that maybe I'll expect a lot of sun and scorpions and stuff like that but i have never ever expect that this book will contain WORMS AND CAGE FIGHTING! DUh! i have never ever expected those elements to be present in this book.
The characters are a lot in this book, a lot of variety and many personalities that you'll meet, but Saba is just really something i can describe her as a bit too much. sure i like tough heroine but Saba is just too much. i can describe her as a bit insensitive and really ungrateful, she blames her little sister Emmi for the loss of their mom and to me that's a bit wrong. but eventually she gets to change and knows the importance of Family and not just her twin brother,Lugh.
ahhh! Favorite scene in the book is the very hot Kissing scene between Saba and Jack!!! gosh! one of the steamiest kissing scene ever. hahaha!
Blood red Road is an amazing read, it has action, drama and romance and also you get values when you finished reading it. so this book rightfully deserve a 5 star rating. :D

we are introduced with the Main character Jackson Meyer,he has the ability to jump through time. but he can't change what's in the past he can just Jump back and forth through time. the person he has interacted to in his "jumps" won't be able to remember or recognize him when has came back to his proper year... in other words Jackson has the ability to travel through time without ruining the time and space continuum.
This book is actually really complex for my taste, i feel like I am watching a spy movie when i have read this one. a lot of scientific terms were introduced in this book and i feel also like watching the Movie Back to the Future and Jumpr.
It actually takes a while, for this whole book to get stirring cause the first couple of pages has not much action going just Jackson springing Back and forth through time and all his efforts were gone to waste cause he can't go back to his main year, so there wasn't anything for me to look forward to when i was reading the first part of the book, the romance aspect of the book was not actually i was looking forward to also cause i feel like Jackson and Holly's romance is a bit forced, i feel like they are two teenagers just fooling around without having any commitment at all with each other. I actually feel more touched with Jackson's love for his twin sister,Courtney.
I was surprised that the book gets better as I read on, but the complexity is actually still there cause the characters keep on blabbering about the "tempest", Full Jumps, Half Jumps and so on... But what i really like about the second part of the book is it's depth and drama, cause this book is not just about time travel but it also talks about grief and loss of a family member. it really broke my heart when Jackson went back through time, and stays with her sister in the hospital, he eventually watched his sister die, *SNIFFS* that was for me the main highlight of the book. (SCREW HOLLY X JACKSON) (view spoiler)[ and I am really intrigued to the little girl from the future, hmmmm.. My guess is she is Jackson's daughter (hide spoiler)]
Overall: not that bad... this book is actually great, the ending is also good. another tear jerking part in the book.... i do recommend it for guys and gals that has a taste for Mission Impossible-like plot and also a fan of time travelling. Me encanta los Hermanos Fuentes!
OH GOD! this book is sooo UNFORGETTABLE! i Love the Perfect Chemistry series but never i felt this IN LOVE while reading Chain Reaction!
we get to meet the youngest among the Fuentes brothers, Luis. My initial expectation for Luis is that he is this nerdy boy who doesn't know how to have fun. but i was taken aback when my expectations gone wrong cause you see, Luis is the kind of guy who likes to have fun he is an "Adrenaline Junkie" and i have never ever laugh this hard over a Fuentes. Sure Carlos is funny but man! Luis is just so darn hilarious! not just having funny dialogues but also having to do such stupid acts that made me laugh so hard... oh man! Luis is my favorite among the Fuentes Brothers. What more to ask? he is smart and funny! gosh! *drool*
Nikki Cruz is just a "WOW!" character, she is first this scared girl cause of her broken relationship, but as time moves on she became fearless, and well she eventually became a man hater, she became BITTER, but i really liked Nikki's character I understand her, I know it is not entirely her fault on why she has to act that way, is just some guy made her like that. Tsk! so all you guys out there! treat a girl nicely! you'll never know what she'll become once you rapture her heart!
since this is Perfect Chemistry we expect a love story right? but this is quite different than the 2 previous books, cause the romance is quite different Nikki and Luis eventually started first as having "A no Strings attached relationship" cause Luis is eventually a player and Nikki is scared to get serious due to her tainted past love life , and this one contains a lot o steamy scenes. *blushes*
what I appreciate most about this book is that it made a bit of cameo appearances form Carlos and Alex and the book eventually tells on what happens to Carlos and Alex on their love life... awww! You have no idea on how much I squealed and grinned on Alex's and Brittany's wedding! OMG! i like Alex, but seeing him as a family man in Chain Reaction just made me melt! oh gosh! seeing him so in love with his wife Brittany, like they just have each other for the first time! and man! that proposal from Carlos to Kiara! ahh! (FANGIRL SERVICE NEEDED HERE!)
I give a two thumbs up for Mrs.Patterson! she is one hell of a chemistry teacher, would you think I'm really weird if i just wish Ms.Simone Elkeles made a book out of her character? just maybe get to know what her past life is like? get a glimpse on how she was when she's a teenager? haha!
GOSH this series has come to an end the epilogue is really touching! it's really nice to see all the characters have grown and get to have their own kids. *SNIFFS* I want lots and lots of books from Simone Elkeles! ooohhhh!! I love the Fuentes Brothers!!! how I wish there is another young Fuentes.... ahhhhh!! haha! i love this book so much! I fangirled, i fell in love , i cried, i laugh and all kind of emotions was all present while I was reading it! (just judging from the review, you can pretty much make a mental picture on how i was while reading it) haha!

Beautiful Disaster? what can I say about this book? hmmm... this book actually reminds me of the Book Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles the flow of the story is pretty much the same. Bad boy (who has straight A's btw) meets smart and good hearted girl.. eventually both collide and fell in love with each other ,thus forming a Beautiful Disaster.
so... pretty much perfect Chemistry-ish right? but i guess the only difference is that this book is much hotter and steamier than the latter.
this book is actually very long, i feel like i am watching a two hour movie with repeated story line over and over. the first part of the book was good you get this giddy feeling every time you read it, cause for me it's really nice to see Travis break in to his shell from bad boy player to a vulnerable guy cause he is falling in love with her best friend, Abby. Those parts of the book were great. i actually skip meals, lost precious sleeping hours just to know how will the story of the two lovers will be.
2nd part i guess the part where they went to Vegas, i kinda lost my interest in the book cause everything is just so redundant they make love, they fight, they break, they kiss. (so on... blah.blah.) i was so infuriated with the flow of the story, i mean they love each other and everything, so why suppress it? duh. i feel like grabbing Abby out of the book and shake her shoulders and tell her "Come on Girl!!! you are making this soooo hard for everyone!" LOL...
so why 4 stars?
at the end of the book i have this realization that love conquers all.. (cheesy, I KNOW!!!) and maybe even though the book is long and some parts were boring, i like it that the author made a believable love story. She showed how an individual can go crazy, change for the person that he/she loves. and how also a certain person can found or lost their love. so yeah this book is filled with cheesiness and sugar coated with even more sugar lines and scenes, and i guess those are the elements that can make a reader like me, go crazy. (Geez is this a cheesy review or what?) LOL
if it weren't for the consistency of the plot i would have given it a 5 star rating. cause what happened is that the first part was very climatic while the 2nd part was a downer, so therefore 4 stars is my rating for this book.
erm.. IDK what's with the book cover, i have no clue why is that the cover.. meh.

When i was reading this book, i feel like I am watching Ugly Betty and Nodame Cantabile... we get to meet Beth who is known to her classmates as the "Beast" cause of what she looks like, but even though she is ugly she has a wonderful voice. and along her choir competition she met a guy, a guy she truly loved and they share the same passion for music but when she returned home she realized that her best friend Scott, who has been with her along the way loves her also.
at first i think the description given to Beth was a bit too exaggerated i can't imagine someone looking so horrible, she even made kids cry and i can't imagine someone being called a "beast" oh trust me i know what it's like to be bullied, but what has Beth gone through is a bit too much? i guess i can say that she is Bullied very severely .
the plot of the story is your very usual ugly duckling turned into a beautiful swan, but that didn't made the story your typical fairy tale, cause there is something behind the book title, the story is actually heart breaking. i never guessed that it would end like that, and also i never would have guess what is up with Derek.
Overall: a so-so book, i'm not actually a big fan of romance it will take a lot of drama for me to be moved by a certain romance novel, so this one is a nice quick read, not my cup of tea but this one left me really refreshed and i feel like smiling to the whole world when i was done reading (less)

i really don't know what to expect from the book , i have this feeling that it was going to be about a loner boy who has no friends and has a miserable life cause the book won't be titled as "Perks of being a Wallflower" if it isn't about that. so the first couple of pages is like a letter from a guy named Charlie, and at the beginning he always write the words "Dear Friend" so the book is like filled with Journal entries from Charlie and it is the compiled events of his life. The first couple of pages of the book i was actually dead bored i have been contemplating with myself if I should stop and just skip reading this particular book, but as it turns out i did manage to finish it, and i was really shock with it's content cause it actually contains some Taboo stuff that i never thought that will be the subject or will be discussed in this book. like many sex scenes, using pot and smoking, abortion, and third sex relationship. in a way the book is an eye opener for teens cause maybe by this book you will be able to face the reality, like how much we avoid this kind of subject it's always happening around you.
The characters were always nice , I appreciate it that the author gets to have a variety of characters, and i guess every reader gets to empathize with each of them, cause they all posses this distinct personality and also have this problems that each of every normal teen faces everyday. as for the main character,Charlie. I can describe him as a very observant boy, who just looks at things and be able to analyze and read his friends or people around him (I guess that's why the book is called Perks of being a Wallflower) and due to being observant and empathizing with his peers he gets to be this kind of friend that lies just so he gets to please his friends and make them happy. in a way i can relate to charlie the most not just because he is the main character of the story but because of his personality, I guess I am like him in a way that I treat my friends and the way I think about them.
Overall: a very inspiring book, I gave it three stars cause i was like bored in the couple of pages, i do recommend it for ages 16 and up. must be really open minded enable to appreciate this book. :D(less)

If you will ask me, I am not actually that risky I am not that good with guys either so i might as well mess things up and blow my cover the second i step in their private domain.
But in this book we get to meet a very risky gal named Natalie, who would risk it all just to know how guys think and she gets to cross dress and pretend as a guy in a boy's school just to get to write a decent arcticle for her column, to whole thing sounds very familiar right? the book is exactly the same replica of the movie She's the man starring Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum.
at first i was a bit skeptical that the book won't be that exactly the same as the movie, but it turns out that it is, let me tell you the resemblance
1. cross dresser girl
2.girl get to fall in love with the roommate
3. bitchy gal who will blow her cover.
see?? while reading this I can't help but compare it to the movie she's the man , but i did enjoy reading this one, some parts were funny and some parts was just plain ole boring, this book has it's moments wherein i get to be excited to know what will happened but most of the time i get this feeling that i was in this state wherein i was really bored and I'll go like "OH MAN!! Nothing's new here!"
Babe in boyland is something you can read in just one sitting, cause everything is just so light and fluffy in the book, a very light read this book was, but i was just not that in to it, i do recommend it for girls, since it's a chcick lit book, and also a huge hard core fan of she's the man and Hanna Kimi... :D

this book is always compared to the Hunger Games, but when i was reading it i didn't get the similarties for the following reasons
Reason #1: the heroine is nothing like Katniss Everdeen. In this book we are introduced to Beatrice "Tris", when I first get to meet her in the couple pages of the book. I find her very shy,a Prude and very timid and weak, she is not my ideal heroine. and I can't grasp the idea. that I'll deal with a heroine like her, throughout the whole book
Reason #2: the setting of the story is very Perfect, it is not like the environment introduced by Suzzane Collins on THG. Cause Suzzane Collins introduced us to poverty in THG. The world Beatrice lived in is perfect, and the people are nice also, very "selfless" as they call it.
Reason #3: no Gore or brutality whatsoever in the book.
ok.ok.ok. haha... i have rants (i know,i know) when i first started reading the book,it was good. but it wasn't special, wasn't that spectacular or phenomenal. It's like ermmm... reading (haha) i had doubts that i'll like this book. Everything was so common,so normal i haven't got that BAM moment when i was reading it.
This is me while reading it:
but I eventually changed my mind.HAH!!!!
i go from sad, confused and doubtful to awed, amazed, happy and excited
haaa! i am so sorry that i have a lot of rants at first. *puppy dog Eyes* but this book is awesome!so Bad ass! and coming for a 23 year- old author and this is her debut novel. CRAP! this is genius! ahaha!
what i like about this book is the way Tris progresses as a character she started first as someone that is weak but as she went through all the trainings and tests she eventually blossomed into something admirable, smart and well of course BAD ASS.
the twists were also great. hmmm i really don't know at first what is a "divergent" GOSH! my mind is really reeling with stuff just to come up with a theory on what kind of abilities and skills a divergent possess and why are they a threat... and also it really shocked me on the romance aspect of the book. i was thinking that maybe Tris will end up to her fellow trainees. but it turns out that she end up with *gasps* FOUR! ahhh! (i know his name is Tobias but i prefer to call him Four) haha!
reading Divergent made me all fluffy and light headed even though it talks about rebellion and stuff, while on the other hand Hunger Games when i finished reading it. I got this certain heaviness but in a good way. Both books are awesome. Both has a certain quality that made them distinct from each other.
SO GUYS AND GALS JUST READ THIS! YOU WONT REGRET IT OK?
the book cover actually gave me an idea that this book will be like Avatar: the last airbender kind of book, and rich Chinese culture will be introduced here. but it never crossed my mind that the book will be about faeries and LGBT.
I didn't actually read the first part of the book where the author gave the readers a guide to how to pronounce the names of the characters(har har! very lazy me), so i was confuse at first. but as i read on i actually get to catch up on the characters and the plot of the book. the book is written very well i like how the author made me feel like i'm moving in ancient china with all the dialogues of the characters and i feel like i am also part of their adventure of meeting the fairy queen.
what i really really loved and appreciate in this book is how the author showed different kinds of love, like how a mother can love her daughter even though how much pain her child had caused her, at the end a mother will always and will be loving and forgiving her daughter . and of course another kind of love shown here is the "lesbian" love, at first i actually thought that my e-book is mess up, that maybe it's a typo error, cause while reading it my eyes caught the sentence "she loves her" i was thinking that maybe what the sentence really meant is that "he loves her" so i was actually in denial that this book is about LGBT and i was actually thinking that the kind of love that Kaede and Taisin shared is like the love we feel for our friends. well it turns out that I'm wrong, and part of me is wounded cause even though the feeling of their love is mutual they can never be together cause they have different paths. and i don't know! when love is MUTUAL there is Never WRONG OR RIGHT for me.
Huntress is not the kind of novel that sticks in to fantasy only but there is a moral lesson that you'll get after you read it. :D (less)
