Wow, that's all I can say! Forgotten Sins is the first book of the Sins Brothers series by Rebecca Zanetti and in the spirit of full disclosure I have to say I have gotten away from anything paranormal or fantasy and really didn't realize this book dipped into that genre or I probably wouldn't have read it. I am so glad that didn't happen. I loved this book so much!
Josie fell in love and married Shane Dean after a brief and passionate romance. Their marriage was hot and everything she could have asked for. Well, almost everything she could have asked for. Shane wasn't forthcoming about his life outside of her and their marriage. She always chalked it up to his military career and so much being top secret and decided it was something she could live with. At least, that was the case until one day he left and never came back.
Now, 2 years later the hospital has called her stating Shane is their. Lieing in the hospital bed, Josie realizes that sure enough it's her long lost husband and it's time she had some answers. Sadly enough, the chances of her getting answers anytime soon just aren't going to happen. Shane has a severe case of amnesia and remembers nothing. This is a particular problem for many reasons, one of which is trouble is following the couple and Shane can't seem to remember why.
Josie just wants to be safe, get answers and move on with her life. Shane just wants to find out about his past, protect Josie and convince her to give him another chance. He doesn't remember their marriage, but he can feel the attraction pulling at him anytime they're around each other.
"You're the only woman I've ever loved." He couldn't live without her. Didn't want to. "I'm selfish, Josie. Life is hard, and I don't want to fight it without you."
This isn't your typical fantasy read. It doesn't have your "everyday" paranormal characters. Because of this I think this story will appeal to any and everyone who wants a hot, military romance. I can't wait for the next book in this story.

The hotness rating is offMidnight Caller is the first in a super erotic new series by N.J. Cole. I am not sure where to even begin with this review. The hotness rating is off the charts. The story line is good, what there is of it. It's almost like you're reading hot sex scenes that are occasionally interrupted by a story.
Rebecca Summers pretty much stays to herself - she works hard and then comes home to a good book. Her one "bad girl" vice is she likes to masturbate in front of the windows with the curtains open. Okay fine the lights are off, so no one can see anything, but it still feels naughty. At least she thought she couldn't be seen, until one night she gets a call as soon as she's finished telling her how beautiful she looks. She can't believe how hot it makes her just imagining being seen. This begins super hot scenes with her secret admirer that leads to a really hot Dom/sub relationship.
Oliver Durant is 200 years old. In his 200 years he's taken on many "human" subs, but none that he couldn't live without. Bec was different from the very beginning. Just watching her pleasure herself made him hotter than he ever remembered being. Once she agreed to a "relationship" with him he couldn't have imagined in his wildest dreams how things would have turned out. An actual physical relationship with a human is impossible, yet he yearns for that very thing. Exploring the possibilities more than he has ever cared to he finds there are so many more things he can do with Bec that he has never known about. He had no idea that one little human would completely change his world.
Dom's creed. He is in control of himself first and foremost, so that he may control others.
I enjoy a good erotic story and I thought the majority of this book was good. I thought that it went a bit far in some places - not because I'm squeamish because I'm not. Some parts were just a bit icky instead of sexy. But, others were so good. Again, the majority of this book was really sexy and hot!

Blaze Ignites is the powerful 1st book in the Scourge Survivor Series by J.L. Madore. Holy cow this book was awesome! I’m going to be honest4.5 stars
Blaze Ignites is the powerful 1st book in the Scourge Survivor Series by J.L. Madore. Holy cow this book was awesome! I’m going to be honest here. Interesting way to start a review, huh? I kind of got away from the paranormal romance sub-genre. That’s all I read for awhile and I got burned out. I am so glad I decided to give this book a read. This book had all of the usual suspects – fae, shifters, weres, vampires, elves, demons, gods and goddesses.
Jade Glaster suffered a horrible tragedy when she was a child, but it only made her stronger. As a member of The Talon, an elite policy enforcing agency, it is her job to protect the secret world of the Realm alongside her chosen brethren. Her specific talent is wielding fire and the power of healing. As a warrior she is a valued member of Talon and a formidable opponent to her enemies. She will stop at nothing to hunt down every individual that had a hand in killing her family. First she has to get through her current mission as an emissary to the elves. This particular mission will completely change her life and everything she knows to be true.
Galan and his 2 closest friends are to set out on their Ambar Lenn – Fate’s Journey. This journey will lead them to their destiny. Galan reluctantly agrees to go, but has no hopes that anything in his life will change. His destiny is to be his father’s punching bag and his sister’s protector, nothing more. Meeting Jade and her friend has proven to him just how wrong he is. She rubs him wrong from the very minute he meets her. He can not believe that these women have been sent to ease his people back into the realm after years of exile. Women are meant to be gentle and taken care of, not think themselves equal to a warrior. Sadly, when returning to their village they find that their people have been attacked, the village destroyed and his beloved sister has been kidnapped. He needs Jade now more than ever. It just complicates things more that the more time he spends with her the less he can deny his attraction and feelings for her. Sadly, it can never progress. He could never love a female warrior. The thought of anything ever happening to the woman he pledges his life to is beyond anything he can imagine. Yet, his heart and traitorous body seem to have a mind of their own.
Thank the gods this book is a part of a series. I seriously want to learn more about these amazing characters! While Galan and Jade were wonderful and I enjoyed their story very much, I fell in love with the supporting characters, as well. I can not wait to read more about this fantastic world and the war that is brewing.
I would like to offer up a huge thank you to J.L. Madore for the loan of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Temping is Hell is the first book in the Necessary Evil series by Cathy Yardley. I'll be honest, I thought I was over paranormal, but this b4.5 stars
Temping is Hell is the first book in the Necessary Evil series by Cathy Yardley. I'll be honest, I thought I was over paranormal, but this book has brought me back with a vengeance. It was a fun, fun read.
Kate O'Hara is a screw up. She's never held a job for long and her family has always bailed her out. Things are different now. Her family needs her help, they just don't know that she is aware of their money problems. Taking a temp job for a large company publicly referred to as Hell, is her personal hell. She's all about small business and helping the underdog, this business goes against all that she believes in. Unfortunately, this new job doesn't just challenge her personal beliefs, but introduces her to a world that she never knew existed.
Thomas Kestrel is a good guy who made a terrible decision. He sold his soul to save the woman he loved. She ended up dying anyways and now he is stuck with the unsavory task of getting his soul back. He has one year to kill the 13 sold souls that signed on with the man who tricked him into giving up his own soul. This has been his single mission over the last year as he's trained and planned. Enter Ms. O'Hara. He certainly has no time for this attraction that he feels for her, but he really doesn't have time for the antics she gets herself in and the information she stumbles across.
I found myself laughing out loud in several parts of this book. Kate doesn't have the normal thought to speak filter that most of us have. She stumbles upon these "poor souls" that need her help and jumps in with both feet, oblivious of the danger she puts herself in.
"I bet for some women, that whole 'here, Sunshine, go on a shopping spree' thing is a real panty dropper." She laughed, then gasped. "And..I just said that out loud. To my boss.."
I can wait to read the next book in this series and further explore the relationship that has developed between Thomas and Kate.
A special thank you to Cathy Yardley for the loan of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Reckoning is a novella that shows a bit of Bones life before Cat came into it. We didn't see Bones in all his sarcastic, witty glory, but there were glimpses. I enjoyed it, as far as short stories go. It was a nice, quick read. Just don't expect all that we've come to look forward to in the Night Huntress books.
There is a murderer on the loose in New Orleans. Not just any old murderer, either. This is a famous duo known to torture and experiment on their victims. Oh yeah and they've been dead for a hundred years. Who better to stop them then the vampire we've come to know and love? Bones. In doing so he has to walk a thin line between doing what needs to be done and not getting on the bad side of Marie, the voodoo queen that runs New Orleans.
This book wasn't bad at all. It was just missing the heart and connections that we get in the rest of the books of this series. I am so glad that Ms. Frost chose to make Bones a team, rather than have him continue on as a one vampire show.
The Zillionaire Vampire Cowboy’s Secret Werewolf Babies by Nine Naughty Novelists is an absolute joy to read. This book was written by nine differentThe Zillionaire Vampire Cowboy’s Secret Werewolf Babies by Nine Naughty Novelists is an absolute joy to read. This book was written by nine different authors (Juniper Bell, Meg Benjamin, Kate Davies, PG Forte, Kinsey W. Holley, Kelly Jamieson, Skylar Kade, Erin Nicholas & Sydney Somers) each taking a chapter or two and adding their own brand of style and humor to the story. Don’t get me wrong, if this book was an attempt at a serious story it would be epically bad. By the same token, since it is a parody it’s a masterpiece in cheesiness, stereotypes and pun worthy lines.
Rock Fangsworthy is a self made millionaire. He’s not the typical Texan, though. He’s a vampire with a blood phobia. He has a couple hundred year old grudge against the Van Pelts and he’s never forgotten it. The Van Pelts not only stole his land, but they turned it into a winery, for the love of Texas. Now, the oldest Van Pelt is dead and he’s going to make the new owner and offer they can’t refuse. He’ll finally have his land back and settle the score.
“If it has tires or testicles, it’s gonna give you trouble.”
Buffi Van Pelt is not the typical girl next door. She’s a single mom to twin boys and, oh yeah, she’s a werewolf. She’s, also the new owner of The Best Little Winery in Bloodsuck that she inherited from her grandmother. The winery is in trouble, but Buffi is determined to turn it all around. She quickly finds that she has more problems than a failing winery. Her summer love, Rock Fangsworthy, is back and wanting her land and business. She can’t let him find out that she is keeping a very big secret from him after all this time.
“He was a moth to her flame, a marshmallow to her campfire, a redneck to her bottle rocket…”
This book is laugh out loud funny in some parts and smack your head groan worthy in others. I really, really enjoyed the clueless Rock and how he struggled figuring out the most obvious things. I found myself uttering really? constantly throughout the book. God love him, I’m not sure how he has made it 400 years. The bad guys were even more clueless, but in such a good way.
It was fun to read in each chapter the different writing style of each author. You’ll love this book as long as you don’t take it seriously.
Twice Tempted is the second book of the Night Prince series by Jeaniene Frost. The Night Prince series is the spin-oHotness Rating 3 out of 5
Twice Tempted is the second book of the Night Prince series by Jeaniene Frost. The Night Prince series is the spin-off from the fabulously popular Night Huntress series. I personally was so excited for this series, being that Vlad was one of my favorite characters of the Night Huntress series. This series, sadly, has not lived up to what I had hoped for. Don’t get me wrong, I will continue reading and following this series. Twice Tempted was much better than the first book and hopefully the future books will just get better and better.
Vlad is famously known for being cold, heartless, unforgiving, and lethal. This is saying something considering he’s a vampire and this is pretty common among the race. You’ve heard of Vlad the impaler? Yep, that’s him. Because of this reputation he has to stay on his toes. There is always someone trying to show that they can best him, including those he holds closest. Having Leila in his life is tough. He can’t show weakness in front of the members of his family, yet she’s a mortal and he needs to protect her at all costs. This constant balance is wearing on him, especially when the very life he swears to protect is in terrible danger.
Leila knows how Vlad is. He’s not hidden his true nature from her, not once. She’s in love with him, he cares for her, and she doesn’t have to hide who she is around him. She wishes that could be enough, but it just isn’t. She wants Vlad to love her back, not just care for her and protect her. When, instead, he offers her immortality Leila can’t take it anymore and leaves not knowing how much this decision puts everyone that she loves in danger.
Leila drives me out of my mind. She is so unreasonable and childish for most of the book. I get she wants to be loved (and really, he does love her), but who moves in with one of the most famously brutal vampires of all time knowing all there is to know about him (it’s not like he’s hidden anything) and then complains she wants more. Thank goodness, by the end of the book she did get a bit of a grip on reality, but between her and her even more spoiled, ungrateful sister I found myself growling through most of this book.
I love Vlad and we did get to see a bit of his witty, sarcastic side in this story, but not nearly enough. The Vlad I fell ass over teakettle for in the Night Huntress series had a wicked sense of humor and used it often. That is my biggest disappointment in this series. Vlad doesn’t shine the way he did in that series. I get Jeaniene is trying to highlight how he got his reputation and what a badass he is, but Bones was a badass and he was sarcastically witty. Please, I’m begging you Ms. Frost give us all of Vlad in the next book, not just his surly, serious side.
Rolling in the Deep is the 2nd book in the very hot Hawaiian Heroes series by Cathryn Cade. This isn't your typical Paranormal romance series. No vampRolling in the Deep is the 2nd book in the very hot Hawaiian Heroes series by Cathryn Cade. This isn't your typical Paranormal romance series. No vampires, werewolves, fae or any of the typical suspects. Just very hot, very sexy Island guardians handpicked and empowered by Pele to guard her Island.
Claire Hunter has come to the beautiful island of Hawaii for her best friend's wedding. When the brother of the groom shows up at the airport to pick her, and her group, up she's blown away by the instant attraction she feels for him. This is perfect! She can have an island fling with this hot native and then go back to her life. She doesn't want forever, just a fling. Unfortunately, convincing Daniel that she can handle all he has to give proves to be more of a challenge than she expects. Convincing her heart that this is just a fling is impossible.
She'd rather fight with Daniel Ho'omalu than get along with anyone else
Daniel Ho'omalu is big, scary, covered in tattoos and very serious about his duties to protect the integrity of his Island. Finding a woman is the last thing on his mind. As a matter of fact, because of a bad experience many years before, he doesn't date or sleep around. The instant zing of attraction he feels when he comes face to face with Claire is not at all what he wants. Keeping his distance from her is a constant challenge that he's not sure he is up for, but giving in would be worse. She's sweet, soft and beautiful. How could he trust that she can handle it the way he likes it? Hard, hot and a bit rough is what he needs. Can he trust that she is his match in every way?
I really felt for Daniel and his fear to trust. For a man to be falsely accused of sexual assault and then have his name drug through the courts would be traumatizing for anyone. But, to ever trust again would be almost impossible. The dedication Claire shows in trying to show Daniel she can be trusted is beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time.
This series is well worth the read. You'll enjoy every word, sentence and paragraph.
Walking in Fire is the 1st book in the Hawaiian Heroes series and my first Cathryn Cade book. After reading some of the other reviews of this book I wWalking in Fire is the 1st book in the Hawaiian Heroes series and my first Cathryn Cade book. After reading some of the other reviews of this book I wasn’t sure what to expect. They were pretty mixed. I’m kind of glad I didn’t go in with any pre-conceived notions. I loved it! As it was the first in the series there was some background to be explained, but it wasn’t overdone.
Melia Carson is heading to Hawaii alone. She was supposed to be going with her boyfriend, but somehow finding him in bed, naked with another woman put a damper on those plans. She needs this getaway now, more than ever. No worries, she’s always been independent enough and she plans on making the most of her escape. Not typically the trusting type she joins up with a group to go on a boat tour. She figures she’s safe enough considering the group is comprised of men and women, plus the tour guide and his wife will be there. All bases are covered. That is until she boards the boat and sees a very hot, surly Hawaiian, glaring at her. What did she do? This is just what she needs; an attraction to a sexy, huge Hawaiian that doesn’t seem to like her much. To top it off she dreams of him every time she closes her eyes. And boy does she dream of him. If the reality of being with him is half as hot as her dreams there is a good chance she’ll catch fire.
David “Malu” Ho’omalu has the weight of Hawaii on his shoulders. Being one of the warriors chosen by Pele to protect her Island Malu has much to worry about. Drug cartels are working double time to get their drugs onto the Island and Malu is doing his best to find them before they get distributed. What he doesn’t need is an attraction to a tourist. An attraction that burns hotter every second. None of this makes any sense. He has never had a problem with a quick fling and going back to life. What is it about this wahine that is so different? He dreams of her when he sleeps, he is constantly distracted by her when she’s around and he is jealous when she gets attention from the other guys in the group. When one of the girls in the group is attacked and left for dead Malu knows he has to get his head in the game and take care of business. Roping a beautiful wahine into helping him just adds to the excitement.
I always thought when I met the wahine for me, I would choose her. But then I looked into a pair of big green eyes, soft pink lips, and those freckles.” He looked up into her eyes, and shrugged. “And that was it for this local boy."
I can’t wait to read on in this series. If the next ones are even half as good as this one I’ll be thrilled.

In the battle for souls saved Jim Heron is winning 2 to 1. To say this doesn’t please Devina is an understatement. She cheated in the last round and is now reaping her punishment. She gets to keep her win, but Mathias is being sent back for a second chance at being redeemed.
Mels Carmichael is a journalist for the Caldwell Courier Journal and going through the motions of everyday life. She lost her father in a car accident while on duty, she’s taking care of her mother now that he’s gone and she’s feeling in a rut. On her way home from work she hits a man with her car. After he’s safely carted off to the hospital and she’s cleared of blame you would think she could just move on with her life. But, she can’t quit thinking about him. Little does she know her decision to visit him at the hospital turns her world upside down.
Mathias finds himself lying in the hospital with no memory short of just being hit by a car and a distant memory of a tombstone with the name Jim Heron written on it. Enter Mels Carmichael and he has a partner in hunting down his past. The fact that he is head over heels in love with her is an unexpected bonus and complication.
The world of fallen angels is always such a fun ride. The powers that be in the battle of good vs evil are always so entertaining. They turn every preconceived notion you have about angels and evil on its head. Adrian breaks my heart. He and Jim are still reeling from the loss of Eddie, but Adrian is taking it particularly hard. Devina is evil incarnate, yet she never ceases to make me a bit sad for her.
This audio is narrated by Eric Dove and he does such a good job with this series. I imagine as a narrator this is a fun series to narrate. The characters are pretty badass and have great dialogue.
