Everyone else pretty much stays away from him because of his special ability. He has made a business for himself, hiring out his services to find out if his clients have cheating spouses, bad business partners, etc.
Michael sneaks out one night to meet a client, Mr. Sharpe. However, this meeting turns into a nightmare when Mr. Sharpe attacks Michael and tries to kill him. Michael barely escapes with his life, his car totaled, and no one believes that someone tried to murder him. The police think he’s just making up an excuse for wrecking his car. His mother thinks he hit his head in the accident and confused. This makes Michael doubt himself for a few moments, until he realizes that Mr. Sharpe’s car would still be where the met, since he saw Mr. Sharpe dead underneath the car.
After I have set up the beginning of the story, this is where I end it. There’s just too much action without giving up any spoilers for me to write!
Harken…supernatural…conspiracy theories…who would have thought the two combined would make an amazing story. When I start reading a story, I have scenarios going thru my head on what direction the plot might take. With Harken, I had no clue what that direction was. Michael proves to be a resourceful and strong character. He has learned to put his ability to his advantage. Callista and Thad are with Michael through the whole adventure. Their bond goes deeper than just mere friendship. The villains are ruthless, dangerous and completely heartless. Harken pulls on your emotions…sadness, humor, anger, anxiety, suspicion, fear..There is so much going on your brain synopsis is in overdrive. There’s a hint of romance, which is just perfect because that doesn’t take away from the true plot, the supernatural conspiracy. Harken is brilliant in the total uniqueness of it’s originality. The end, of course, is a killer cliffhanger. I wasn’t ready for it to end. There’s so much left unexplained, I look forward to have those questions answered. (less)

Dani, the daughter of the town sheriff, is designing the flyer for the party of the year. Everyone in town knows about the party, however the police force wants to discover the secret location.
While Dani is going through a box of things, she finds her old walkie talkie that she used to talk with her best friend with next door. Janice's possessive mother prevented Dani's friendship, and they hadn't spoken in years. Never dreaming she would answer, Dani tries the walkie talkie to see if it still worked and she answered. Feeling guilty for all the time apart, Dani invites her to the Halloween party. At the party, Dani runs into her old boyfriend, Parker. Parker left early for college without saying goodbye, leaving Dani distraught.
However, the next day, Dani's world is turned upside down. Chaos erupts in the small town, and Dani receives texts from an unknown caller. Dani confides in Parker, her sheriff father doesn't believe her, as the whole situation starts to become dangerous for all those around Dani.
One Tiny Secret is Adam Kunz first solo novel, which is packed with suspense and horror. From the moment I first started reading, I was captivated in the creative story Adam created. Who is the unknown caller? Why is this stalker tormenting Dani? All these questions and more run through your mind as you are trying to solve the mystery. But don't even try, because you will never see it coming. The anticipation to reach the end is so demanding, it's a story that you WILL read in one sitting. Not only is the plot just plain genius, there's a hot romance as truth is revealed and Dani and Parker reunite.

However, Zyra’s plans turn into chaos when Skringler escapes her. With the universe against her, she fights to make things right.
Rouge Hunter is a very fast-paced read for all sci-fi lovers. Zyra is hard-core, however, throughout the story; you discover how she desperately wants to live a normal life. However, can she ever achieve that with the revenge for her father, the enemies she has made, and the constant devastation that follows her? The Universe is not very vast when it comes to Zyra.
I loved all the characters in this story and the twist in the plot was devilish. It just shows how quick an alliance can change. I was able to picture the scenes in my mind easily and my heart ached for Zyra’s dream of normalcy in her life. I love sci-fi novels because the imagination can be endless. Rouge Hunter has plenty of surprises and I look forward to Zyra’s journey. (less)
