I am going to write this again so forgive me if it's all broken record. Anthologies are never my top pick when it comes to reading; I get frustrated because some stories suck and others I wish were just a tad bit longer. This anthology falls under I wish the stories were longer, well at least most of them. This anthology is all about the gun, this deadly and yet sometimes-beautiful weapon. This book will show you that sometimes it is not all about the killing, the gun can be used for something dangerously sexy and good.
The Bounty Hunter by Cornelia Grey Talk about 'color me surprised' I think I missed the part about this being a gun fetish anthology. Not to worry this story reminded the crap out me. It offers up an old western vibe, all dusty trails and cowboys. William Hunt is a bounty hunter and after his once lover turned outlaw. When the two finally have their confrontation, its all kinds of explosive and where the gun gets all kinds of dirty. I enjoyed this short because of the whole lovers being reunited under some dangerous circumstances. Where f*cking is last thing they should be doing, but it definitely is the best thing.
Changing the Guard by Peter Hansen This one is my absolute favourite. Set in a futuristic world where humans reside on other planets. We meet Tomi Vuorela a security guard working isolated on some frozen planet placed there because he gave his superior some lip. When an unexpected visitor makes an appearance Tomi has no idea what to think of Andile who says he is there to run maintenance. Tomi is suspicious and treats him like a criminal, but that doesn’t stop the attraction between the two men. From the start, the writing is funny and sarcastic. Andile and Tomi just grab your attention and the ending to this is a delightful surprise. The gunplay is indescribably hot, erotic, and I just loved it. Peter Hansen is an author to watch out for.
The Machinist by Gryvon Avery is the machinist, kidnapped and kept in a dungeon by a rival colony. Just when he is coming to terms with how is life will be, he is taken captive again by the deadly looking Harrow. Avery being the funny ‘lets make the best out of this crappy situation’ kinda person he tries to drag Harrow into conversation but by the deadly look in the man’s eye Avery knows that his life will no longer be his own. Though he should be afraid, Avery can’t help that the gun being held at his back is making him all kinds of hard. This short was sexy, and pain filled, another one that would be served best if it were longer.
My Rifle is Human by Sumi This is where the surprise comes, just when you are starting to get a little bored with all that gunplay this refreshing little tale makes an appearance. Though the gun still plays a part, it’s quite imaginative with a scientific spin. Fil was a born a Gunslinger which makes him the bedding partner to the Ordinances (human weapons). As a Gunslinger he has to have sex with the Ordinance that is given to him, sex is the energy that drives them and makes them unstoppable on the battlefield. Fil has had no success with his Ordinance; no matter how much he has sex with them they never come back alive. Until he is given Morris who wants to get to know him, but all Fil knows is sex and Morris needs sex to survive. I loved how humans were able to become weaponry, can you just imagine that. This story was super cool and my second fave.
In the Pines by Lydia Nyx Even days after finishing this story, I still kept thinking about it. Former cop Tyler moves to Alaska working a desk job after being injured in the line of duty. He purchases a gun to be given as a present but then starts to have these sexy dreams about a man named Flynn. Never knowing the man he dreams about every night is connected to the gun he bought. When he finally makes the connection, it’s just a little too late for Tyler because he’s already in too deep. I loved the bit of mystery offered up in this story, and the beautiful yet sad ending. I believe this story can be looked at in many ways and it’s entirely up to the reader.
Compromised Judgement by Penny K Moss Rozsa is an undercover agent about the blow the lid off some gun smuggling. That’s until there was Konrad, a man Rozsa is deeply attracted to but is very much a part of the case. There’s one thing Rozsa knows is that you don’t get feelings for those involve din a case. It seems that the men share a small history, though they have never met previously, and the feelings they share for each other could be fatal. The gun is a part of both men, one makes it and the other wields it; but together they make a very loud bang. My least favourite but still an interesting story.
Overall, another winner by Storm Moon Press. This is by far the craziest and most awesmazing anthology. I never saw the gun as anything but an object that kills, now I view it as something erotic and yet dangerous. The two ingredients to killer awesome book! This has something for every reader. A little contemporary, some science-fiction, and Paranormal. With the other world goodness, and the explosive sex Weight of a Gun is not to be missed. In addition, the cover alone deserves some serious love, a perfect match to the book. So I say ‘who cares how much the gun weighs, is what they do with it that counts’. A guaranteed pants losing!(less)

She is able to bring two men who are as different as night and day together and make beautiful sweet man love. So is the case with Tailor Made, we have the fantabulous tart Felix and the virginal and shy Andrew. What both men have in common is that they attend the same art school and they are both set in their ways when it comes to how they live their life.
Felix is a manslut and he just does not care, he doesn’t pretend to be something he is not. He has been lusting after his art professor for quite sometime, and he has a plan to finally get him and he’s gonna need the help of fashion student Andrew to do it. What he doesn’t expect is that Andrew is not easily persuaded by sex; but where there’s will there is always a way. So shameful flirt Felix goes in hard (and I do mean hard).
In this case, opposites do attract and the boys find themselves needing each other. Yes, there is want and the uncontrollable lust but there is also the friendship that has been formed and the easy acceptance of each other. Andrew the virgin and Felix who is Mr Experience together is just right.
I loved how smiley this story made me, Felix is outrageous and you can’t help loving him. I find I like them when their super slutty, it makes when they find love all that much sweeter. Andrew is shy but he’s far from tame, he had some incredibly sexy moments. I can honestly say that when the bad meets the good, they f*ck amazingly (my cheekiness for the day). If you are looking for a light and fun read, then look no further this story is it.

I knew I was really going to like it, and I am happy I wasn’t disappointed. I’m thinking if Dev Bentham is writing it, I’m gonna want to be reading it because for a debut novel it’s a freaking hit.
Mark is gorgeous, smart, and has whole lot going for him. He is also socially inept, crowds scare him, attractive men leaves him in crippling shyness and being in his quiet apartment is his solitude. Mark is also struggling with his attraction to men, and the fear of it translates into his life. Doesn’t stop him from doing back alleys, and men’s washroom, because if he doesn’t have to talk he can do a quick blowjob with a stranger.
His world gets shaken when he sees Seth for the first time. His hips are a swaying and Mark is mesmerized by the man, it’s a shame nothing would ever come of his attraction because the things he wants to say to Seth only gets said in his head. Well, Seth is not about to let a good thing go, and Mark is that good thing. The way he goes about communicating with Mark is a thing of beauty.
I really love these characters, and I really like Mark. This book was about him finding himself, and not about a solution to dealing with his anxiety. Loved that Mark found some worth in taking care of his sister in law, and he wasn’t just the shy nut case anymore. I also loved the female characters; they were strong and provided a nurturing in the story. Seth and Mark together is dy-no-mite (three words) and hot as fecking hell (loved the whole treat me like a stranger).
It really was a beautiful love story, about finding that someone who makes everything just right, and never having to change who you are. It’s a story of self-discovery and healing wounds and moving on from them. Good stuff!

Jaime is a 22 year old college student. He is smart, good looking, and is all about a good time. He has a reputation around campus as being a seducer of straights, he loves the thrill it gives him when he' s blowing some jock in the washroom. No feelings are hurt because hes giving them a new experience and a good time without all the complications of a relationship.
His charms are completely lost on Roger Hunt, the lumberjack looking hottie. Roger doesn't seem really impressed with his playboy attitude or his good looks. Though Jaime is attracted to Roger it seems the attraction might be just one sided because if Roger's scowl is an indication, it's saying 'nope I'm not looking for a good time'.
I can't really call this one a romance, because Jaime doesn't get with Roger until very late in the book. It does centre around their growing relationship, but this book is pretty much the Jaime show and the men in his life until he finally gets with Roger. I am not sure I like Jaime very much and it has nothing to do with him being a little slutty, I just could not bring myself to love him. Ultimately Jaime is a nice guy, who sometimes goes over board with the whole seduction thing but in the end he always ends up alone.
We follow him through many hook-ups with the straight boys, the gay boys, and the closet cases. While he sprouts philosophical ideas on sexuality which I found to be the most enjoyable part of the book. When he goes off on a tangent with his cousin Jo, explaining to her the finesse on he lands his conquest and that it's all a little experimenting on their part and in no way does it make them gay. I don't read many books that explain that it's a lot more than sex that makes a gay man, and just because you like something in your ass now and again doesn't mean a damn thing.
Overall, I liked the story but something was missing for me. In all honesty I think it has a lot to do with Jaime because I don't really like him all that much. His narrative is humorous but at often times seemed overly obnoxious. I do enjoy Lou Harpers writing style it's crisp and fun, I just had a real hard time connecting to the story and the characters.

I am so happy I read this book, even though anthologies are my least fave to read. Well I have no complaints, I loved this book every freaking story had me grinning, and getting feelings in my heart. A perfect Christmas read, about the joys of the holiday. It could have been all ‘happy love is all we need’ but each story had a little something more. Every story has a uniqueness that stand on its own. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one.
Lucky Dip by Clare London We find Andrew Jackson a teacher preparing for the school’s annual Christmas party. The stress is high and the kids are rowdy but he can’t disappoint them. When he is paired with his ex-boyfriend Gregg who dumped him a few weeks before. Andrew is feeling like things can’t get any worse. When both men get locked in a storage closet they both have to face the feelings they still have for each other, and Gregg has some grovelling to do.
This story was super cute. I loved the kids and Andrew is this clumsy and sweet man. Greg seems like a go-getter, all suave and charming. I really liked the theme of this one, lovers finding their way back to each other over the holidays. It’s definitely the tamest story when it comes to sex, but what it lacks in hot sure makes it up in cute.
Butterscotch Kisses by Chrissy Munder Mathew Morrison is the shy guy, not as outgoing as he wants to be. He is determined over the holidays to get over his fear of heights. He feels that he can make the climb to the top of the hill and kick fear in its butt he will finally get the confidence he lacks. A series of attempts prove unsuccessful, but the 'cute ticket guy' surely lifts his spirits. Mathew decides to try his fear conquering on one of the coldest and its cute ticket guy to the rescue.
I enjoyed Mathew. He is such an endearing character, he will so definitely capture you heart. I wanted him to have everything he wanted. His determination might even have given him a chance at love. This story was super sweet.
Wintertide by Lou Harper Two men have a meeting at a Santa Monica Pier just weeks before Christmas. Jem a young man finding his way in the world, and Oscar the older man slowly making his way from losing his partner of many years. Their meeting leads to a night of hot sex, and a little misunderstanding on Jem’s part that might keep them apart. This novella stood out to me, it has a small paranormal aspect to it but nothing that is too unbelievable. I loved that Oscar’s POV was included, it made the characters richer and in the end, you wanted them to both find happiness and love with each other. This story made me sad and happy at the same.
When In Amsterdam by Josephine Myles I am seriously jonesing for this one. I loved this sexy little Christmas kink story. Brandon is visiting Amsterdam with his new boyfriend Jos for their Sinterklass celebration. It’s a new and budding relationship but you can tell that both men feel strongly for each other. There is the shyness from Brandon who feels that he might not be able to offer what Jos needs sexually, but he blows that out the water.
It is…. I can’t even find the words, but it’s my absolute favourite in the entire anthology. I loved the diversity with which you always find in Josephine’s writing. I love the interracial love, just makes the story so much more. I am just in love with this one, an awesmazing job.
A Pint of Beer, a Bag of Chips and Thou by J.L Merrow Last but certainly not least is my second fave short in the anthology. It’s quirky and its fun and I love the witches. Liam is the only man in a house full of women, making it by playing the sax at King’s Cross-station. There is a man who always captures his interest, but can never find the opportunity to make a move. When his mom and Aunt’s give him some crazy Christmas gifts, Liam might actually land the man he has had his eye on.
This was super cute and funny, with a mix of sexy. I loved all the quirky characters and the playful dialogue, definitely a winner by J.L Merrow. It was a joy to read.
Overall, this anthology was super awesome. There is a story in here for every reader. Each one offers its own unique writing style and though the theme here is all about Christmas, none of the stories can be compared to each other. It’s the erotic, meets the sweet and in comes the sexy. This one caused a whole lot of pants losing, and I am still at this moment searching for them. It will warm your heart and have you burning in other places. Fantastic! (less)

Because I am having a having a hard time connecting the most awesome character, I met in A Life Without You and the Eric that was in this book. Started off very Eric but then along the way I lost him, and if it wasn’t for the fact that I love these characters and they make me laugh I fear my rating would have been a lot lower.
Eric Wesley is the life of the party, he’s hot and he knows it. He doesn’t do boyfriends, he’s got plenty of sex friends to keep him entertained and life couldn’t be more awesome. Until a night of sexual fun with two of his closest friends leads Eric to the realization that maybe he’s ready for love. He definitely doesn’t want that love from Alex Centauri; the man would totally be his type if he wasn’t completely boring. He does feel sorry for him though, and goes on a pity date with Alex but he doesn’t plan to stay with him the whole night. When Eric gets a chance to leave Alex behind, he takes it and heads home with the sexy Latino. One of the first of Eric’s bad choices.
What then transpires throughout the book, I’m definitely not on board for most of them. I did enjoy Eric’s realization of Alex I found that to be the most honest part of him, after clone Eric came in. I am just in all types of =__= ‘where did the hell did Eric go?’. I am one for surprises in books cus predictability annoys me but these surprises went to Madagascar and stayed in Timbuktu. It all begins with Eric’s new boyfriend, the rush into relationship boyfriend that proves that Eric has no clue what a relationship is. There are some hard reading situations, but it fails to overshadow the stupid decisions made by Eric. I just cannot accept that was my Eric, I believed he loved himself too much to let all of the bad stuff happen but I must have been mistaken. On the other hand, maybe there’s a hidden meaning behind the transformation of his character that I am just not getting.
I really liked Alex, though I found him slight most of the time but he’s just so pure I really enjoyed him. I am surprised Eric got mixed signal cause I felt like Alex was wearing a neon sign when it came to his feelings. Alex and Eric together are super sweet and that’s really one of the saving factors for me and why I enjoyed reading.
Jesse and Adam do have some presence in the book, and offered up one of the best scenes. My heart almost gave out, oh god yes they are still so hot. Really enjoyed reading about all the boys again and I would give something to play a little ‘bottle extreme’ with them. Maybe not extreme, I will go with medium. Loved the friendships, and the fact that these guys stick together no matter what ‘it’s a beautiful thing’. Overall, with all my complaints I still really enjoyed it, though I fear it won’t go over well with some fans. I do enjoy that the author writes out of the ordinary, and Ms Pike still remains a must read author for me.
SideNote- I would talk about Eric's Latino boyfriend, but he doesn't deserve my typing time or my feelings. (less)

Mark has just been dumped by his boyfriend to be expected when he was caught cheating. Mark is broken and sad because he loves his boyfriend Craig, and he’s hoping that they can just move on from it. He’s been having the best of both worlds, the love and security of Craig and the hot carnal lust of Richard the man he’s been having an affair with. When both his worlds collide, he’s left in shock but he can’t deny that he wants both.
With Richard, the sex is hot and nobody does it better. With Craig, he has someone to do boyfriend things with, and most importantly, he can present him to the world. Richard is a man of god, and Mark will always be his piece on the side both figuratively and in actuality. When you’re caught between two men, the outcome is never positive.
It’s easy to call Mark a cheating bastard and say he got what he deserved. I honestly feel very sad for him. He’s in love with the idea of loving Craig, because its safe and he’s dependable. Though it’s Richard, I feel he really wants, but he’s grown accustomed to the situation. He’s his dirty little secret, his quick f*ck outside when the weathers nice. When it all ends, he puts on his collar and goes back to what he loves the most, being a priest. I feel that Mark both accepts it and loathes it and so he found someone who created a balance for him. It’s a sad situation for all three men, but I feel it's sadder for Mark. Richard will ask for forgiveness from his god and move on, and Craig might find solace and love from his family and friends. Mr Mark though is left with nothing.
My first time reading anything by Anne Brooke and folks it won't be my last. I always talk about short stories being worthy of novel praises and this story is one of them. Anne Brooke is an excellent writer with a gift to portray emotions on pages. Sometimes we don’t always get what we want, and we leave behind the things that we need. That being ruled by lust and desires can be nice but when the desire is sated, all that is left is emptiness. This story with a just a few pages was able to share that with me the reader, and if that isn't excellent writing? I don't what is!
I hope to read about Mark again because I feel that he deserves his happy ending, finding that one person whom he both wants and needs.

This story has a very interesting concept. Imagine being given the opportunity to have a second chance at life. That’s what’s been offered to billionaire Harold Wainwright who is dying of cancer. The offer sounds too good to be true, but also too intriguing to pass up. Looking back at his life, he feels a lot of regret. Yes, he made a ton of money but money means nothing when you’re dead. He gave up his lover all for the pursuit of happiness. Pushed away those closer to him so that in his dying days, all he has is a house full of servants and an internal clock counting down the days until his last breath. So a second chance does sound good, but at what cost.
The Rebirthing Project was supposed to be about something good, giving those who deserved it a second chance at life. Not about peddling money from a rich A-hole billionaire, but Dr Drayton needs the money to continue his research. So he tosses pride out he window and offers the chance to Wainwright. Who would decline something so beautifully unbelievable, and with money being a no issue the deal is had good as done.
Young Jesse is at the top of his game, superstar at school and loved by all. Until he gets up close and personal with a truck which leaves him a completely brain dead, and the perfect donor for Harold Wainwright. The chance at a new life in a new body. Jesse forever gone and Harold now in his place inhabiting his body. For Jesse’s parents and friends all that will matter is that he awake and alive. Yet Jesse is gone, and his consciousness/soul replaced with that of Harold Wainwright.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved that the Harold now Jesse has to experience life anew. He was able to recognize the mistakes he made before, and made attempts to change it. Getting a second chance at love also sweetens the deal. There is so much contained within this novel, it would be crazy to give everything away, but there is a bit of mysterious intrigue going on and it makes the story come alive. The idea of being able to place someone’s consciousness into a new body is intriguing enough on its own. I think it was expressed well in the writing.
Jeff has a gift in writing about young lovers. The sweetness of the first time, yet he manages to mix in the heartache so effortlessly. I was surprised by Second Chances, and I fell in love with Jesse and Phillip (Jesse’s lover and best-friend) they were so sweet. This is quite unlike anything I have read of Mr Erno before and I can honestly say that I really like it. It still embodies all that we love about his writing.
I say... you give Second Chances a chance to capture your heart and fall in love. There is mystery, a cunning doctor and a bittersweet romance.

I am once again unable to write a review that will give another book in the DS series justice. So you know what? I wont! I am just going to gush all my feelings out, rave about Stefano&Silvio, and contemplate why the ménage I wanted between the Spadaro brothers and Stefano didn’t happen. I am looking at you Aleks =_=.
So three stories in this one, once again triple the power in pants losing. Stefano is at a crossroads, and all the intersections are leading to Silvio. The relationship between him and his wife is getting strained, family crime values is looking dire, and Stefano feels like his whole world is out of control.
While reading I felt somehow dissatisfied with something, unable to pin point exactly what I wasn’t happy with. It’s like all these emotions and feelings are coming out, things need to be said but all I am getting is thoughts in Stefano’s head, but his mouth doesn’t freaking move. This overwhelming need for a praecipe, because someone needs a push or an order for things to get done. All the fill in the blanks dialogue, was irking me until I realized that Stefano is just unable to deal with exactly what he is feeling, and you can fill in all the blanks with any random ole shit but what is left unsaid is more powerful than anything.
In all this I feel for Stefano’s wife, because if it was just fucking that Stefano had to do he would just be that cheating bastard, but its more and as much as he loves his wife ‘sometimes love is not enough’. Yes very sad for Donata, but happy in my pants when Silvio and Stefano finally come together. Shower scenes, hotel queens, and drugstores. My pants burst into flames, but the flame wasn’t enough to engulf them (did Mr Voinov keep it slightly tame for a reason?) I believe so my friends because you can’t give your all when you’re not completely on board with what you are feeling. My men were holding back, and DS4 left me once gain with more questions than answers. Will it work? What choices will Stefano make? Will I crack the code that is Silvio? (like Davinci code) Will my men find happiness?
Overall, really liked this one and can’t wait to dive into Dark Soul #5 where it all ends. This series continues to be extraordinaire, and its one you are likely never to forget. The characters are superb, the writing captivating, and the Dark Soul world powerful. For all that is sweet and holy, I love me some Silvio and Stefano and I won’t be able to let them go.(less)

I really want more of all the stories offered up in this anthology, which is driving me hella crazy because I want more. I really loved/really liked all the stories in this one, if you have no problems with reading non-con then I highly suggest checking this book out.
Out of Options by Angelia Sparrow & Naomi Brooks I do believe this is my favourite story in the entire anthology. Talk about being totally surprised by the amount of sexy, and gender pushing, and just overall awesomeness that was offered up. When money gets a little tight for Connor, he goes to his last resort, which is tricking. When he’s picked up by Jarret who pays him nicely, gives him tender loving, and wouldn’t mind seeing him again with payment of course. Connor feels like he’s hit the jackpot, but it calls go south when he signs a shady contract and bind himself to Jarret who isn’t as nice as he seems O_O (shady contract dude)
Seriously, I loved this story! Without getting into the politics of gender and all that, this story really pushed the boundaries. I think I blushed I bit, because I found it so incredibly sexy. It’s hardcore and it won’t settle well with most readers but it sure settled well with me.
“I like my boys with tits, and my girls with dicks” -Out of Options
Obedience Class by Sean Michael I really liked this one, because what’s not to like? Werewolf, unruly mate, and hot sexy man love. I know the whole mate werewolf thing is played but I’m a real sucker for them. Trevor is rebellious and his pack has had enough so they put Dirk on the case to bring him to obedience. I don’t know if I really liked Dirk methods of reining in Trevor. He truly came across as terrified, so that part really bothered me. Otherwise I totally loved it, and have been thinking about the sex they did/might have had in wolf form. Wanna know how that went down =_=
What It’s Worth by Gryvon Fucking gawd, another story I want more of. Ian is a bit of a douche and literally hates everything. He does take pride in his work though he feels it all sucks which is contradictory. When one of his assignments leads him to the arms of Vincenzo. Ian is thinking he takes too much pride in his work and should have left this one alone when he had the chance. It’s all just a little too late, and Ian finds himself tied and submitting to a stranger. I enjoyed this one a lot but just couldn’t handle the deflowering of Ian. So public, so clinical, and just not what I wanted for him. Although by the end, he is less douchy.
Blindside by Stella Harris Another favourite, just because it was so freaking cute and funny. Matt believes he’s being hazed by upperclassman Dylan when he is called to do his medical and Dylan is getting all up close and personal with his prostate. It might just be all fun and games for Dylan, but Matt is experiencing things he only dreamt of. If only he could walk away, but he keeps going back to Dylan and his special brand of hazing.
Oh Matt you naïve fool you. Prostate check at 18! You should have seen it for it was he just wanted to feel you up.
Unnatural Means by T.C Mill I am honestly going to admit that I don’t get this story. Isak is to cleanse Sain’s soul by having him confess to murder and witchcraft. It’s not going so well because Sain is stubborn and doesn’t feel he has anything to confess. This one is a bit of a mind fuck, and I was left thinking two things. Sain is a murderer and dabbles in the dark arts, or he’s a con man and has everyone fooled. He uses his ‘witchcraft’ to ensnare a man and then he gets rid of them when he wants to. Either which way, is this really a non-con story? Moreover, which of the characters is the one not consenting? As I said mind fuck!
Salting the Earth by Heidi Belleau & Violetta Vane O_O that is all. Seriously, this one really freaked my freak. I am lost, puzzled, and loving all the faery pretty. All I am thinking is that Ronan was crazy, and he was the bait to begin a series of events that will bring us to The Druid Stone. I think this was a nice set-up, and will leave the reader with questions. Is TDS here yet *stomping foot impatiently*!
Overall, really enjoyed this anthology. So many different levels of writing and storytelling and all very unique. Another winner by SMP, and I look forward to whatever creative anthology they come up with next. I guess I should warn and say the whole book is dub-con/non-con but it didn’t feel like it for me. Though it really depends on the reader, which basically means I am hardcore. Loved It! (less)
