^^THE WAY ME AND THE GUY ON THE COVER PLAYED IN MY HEAD!^^
When I see this cover, I think of a few games I could play with Mick. -Like pin my body ^^THE WAY ME AND THE GUY ON THE COVER PLAYED IN MY HEAD!^^
When I see this cover, I think of a few games I could play with Mick. -Like pin my body parts on his peni…. I mean body. - A little game of you touch mine and I will touch yours. -Naked touch football, naked twister, naked wrestling Etc
You get my point this is one hot cover. Those abs would have me saving money, and hand lotion. I would be doing my laundry on those suckers; it is just one freaking HAWT cover. I am not really into muscles and all that, but I am very into this cover model, and find myself hoping that he would come into…. I mean be into me.
Now for the story, I was like ‘Meh’ through it all, I really did enjoy the whole sexy man fall in love with girl next-door type. It gives me hope, that one day some sexy man will come and sweep me off my feet. I can say I enjoyed the book a lot more when they were out of the bedroom.
I have always said that something might be wrong with me, cus I am finding the sex between female/male of books to be tiresome. I read it without any interest, and this book was one of those. Just call me crazy, but I think Tara is like the luckiest woman in the world. This woman comes like three times in a row. I sound envious cus I am, just a little bit.
Mick I really liked, he seemed like a true genuine character, and as I said really liked the book when they were out of bedroom. I found the sex too plentiful, and tooo odd. By odd I mean, it just felt like they were trying to go too far with it, and then it just sort of fizzled out, by the third sex scene I was pretty much done for. Therefore, I had a hard time with the five-hundred that followed (not that much but you get my meaning). I really like the anal scene, ‘sue me, I love that shit’.
This one will be hit with most of GR friends; it was just an ok read for me. I loved learning about football because in reality I could care less. I am considering being a party planner, in reality not the best idea. I loved the whole single mother aspect of the book, as a mother myself I can easily understand the doubts with wanting to get into a relationship. The questions that go with it, will the man accept my child and be respectful. I thought Jaci Burton handled that part splendidly.
Overall, liked it just could have done without all the sex.
I am in all kinds of love with this book. If Daniel Chan wasn't a gay man I would want him for my own, but hahahah he i ^^NO GOOD DEED IS GOOOOOOOD!^^
I am in all kinds of love with this book. If Daniel Chan wasn't a gay man I would want him for my own, but hahahah he is bi-sexual, yeh I know...this man is all kinds of awesome. I am now a huge fan of Lynn Lorenz she is a definate buy when purchasing my m/m loving. This book was surprisingly funny, angsty and just a sweet sexy fest. LOVED IT!!
Daniel Chan is the captain of a police force in a small town he is also chinese and if that don't blow all out the water. He loves his job, he has great friends and only a few years until his retirement. One problem, no one in town knows about his sexual preferences, sometimes he likes the ladies other times he wants a man. No reason to go spreading this around until there was Mark and all his homosexual tendencies are coming out in full force and everyone seems to be noticing.
The meeting between Mark and Chan is no gumballs and lollipops, you see Mark was just caught in some serious business involving a dead man, a wounded police officer and Mark being arrested. To save the police force ass Chan has to some smooth talking and that comes easy because he wants Mark naked. The instant attraction has some road blocks, because both our heroes have wounded souls and a whole lot of healing is required.
I loved Chan's humour he makes being an asshole a true talent, but man is he sweet. His internal dialogue is hilarious, his dialogue with other characters is a laugh out loud kinda thing, and I did. He is a complex character with true worries and it proves the darkside that most cops without a doubt carry. Mark is a beautiful character, all the shit that man has been through he deserves his happy ending.
It was great to see a interrracial couple, I love when the people of the world come together and just love, and it makes for just hot good times. Though the sex did not come till later it was worth it, so sweet and beautiful. These men aren't perfect and they make mistakes. There are scenes involving a woman, but it works in this story line. An enjoyable story with well written characters, a solid 4.5!...more
This was one fantastic short, and I am not surprised because the author sure knows how to write them. It has filled with wit, drama, and a whole lot oThis was one fantastic short, and I am not surprised because the author sure knows how to write them. It has filled with wit, drama, and a whole lot of sexy. The Dalaneys & Me is a whole lot of awesomeness packed into 35 pages.
Liam is making a scene and it could cost him his life, but he doesn't care because his boyfriend Brandon is dumping him in the middle of a restaurant. Liam knows better than to cause a scene and embarrass Brandon, because he is the cousin to the Delaney twins. The twins take family seriously and Liam just seriously ofenced (I am so sure that is not a word, but it's my word). You see folks, the Delaneys are major crime bosses and Liam is about to have his kneecaps broken.
Liam knows they are going to get him and it's only a matter of time before they dish out his punishment. What he never expects is the offer to sleep with both of them, and how can he say no when the other option is being shot (not to die only to maim). Yep, the choice is easy. It's super sexy twin sandwich time.
I really liked this one, though I was expecting some kind of twincest (yes I like that sorta stuff) but rest assured there is no hot twin hook-up. However, I get the feeling that the brothers feelings runs deeper than brotherly love. I am really excited to see what Liam and the bros get up to, and with three more books in the series to go. It's gonna be one heck of a good time!
Cake is yummy, yummy goodness. I have a serious crush on Derekica Snake; I would love to be a voyeur in her head. I first read an online fic by the author that was recommend by a friend and I fell in love. Tentacles for the Bride Bouquet is no longer available to read online, because I think it will be released as a book (yay). In the author, I found all my perve, come true. She writes sexy, mixed in with the unconventional and some very pretty men. Cake is one of those, and with this one also comes some warning. It seems that whenever I read a Snake book there has to be a warning list.
Avoid if you do not like: - No-Con/Dub-Con - Blood/Gore - Ménage - Pretty Pretty Men - The Anti-Hero - Hot Man Love
This book had me at its opening line “I was a slut”, and from there on, I just fell in love. Edward aka Sex/Xavier was once a bitter man shaped by being overweight and almost blind. Then on his birthday, a beautiful man corners him in a bar and calls him beautiful, which Edward finds very hard to believe. At almost three hundred pounds, there is no way in hell this hot man would want him. That is until Edward wakes up with a pain in his ass (literally) and realizes that he is about to become the plaything of a man he will come know as Marcus.
Eighteen months later, we have a new Edward, his vision is no longer impaired and he is about half his size. It seems as if he has it made, but for those months Edward has been living as a toy, used and abused by Marcus and now is called Sex. That’s what he is needed for sex and the blood that flows through his veins. Sex realizes that Marcus is more than a man, and it amplifies his fears tenfold.
I will honestly say that as reader, you will either love or hate this book. There is just so much that pushes conventional relationships out the window. Edward/Sex/Xavier was tortured, raped and whole bunch of other things by Marcus. Yet Marcus is his lifeline, the true holder of his heart and if that isn’t a “What the Fuck”, I don’t know what is. The relationship is complex and effed up and I freaking love it.
The twists and turns of this book are truly entertaining and I have serious feelings in my heart for all the characters. I love Sex (teehee); he is truly awesome and feisty. Marcus I have a sneaking suspicion that I should hate his guts but I totally love him he is he anti-hero in every sense of the meaning. I loved their relationship, a mixture of hot/cold and molten lava (where is my pants?). This is every bit a Yaoi book, and if you are a fan of yaoi you will love it, if you don’t like yaoi then ‘Stay Clear’.
Apart from the annoying word 'portal' (is this some sort of space-time continuum), just say ass/hole just anything but that. This book is super cool, and I am excited to read the second in the series. I cannot get enough of my pretty men.
Side Note- That cover is gorgeous, and I have lascivious thoughts when I look at it. Lurve!
Side Note 2- I would love a signed copy of this book (hint, hint) ...more
So I was very excited to read this one, and I was not disappointed. I found Aloes refreshing, super sweet, emotional and som ^^ THIS ALOES IS SWEET!^^
So I was very excited to read this one, and I was not disappointed. I found Aloes refreshing, super sweet, emotional and sometimes downright hilarious. The idea behind it I found very original, you might think the story line could become cheesy, but that never happened, Miss Quinton keeps it fresh from beginning to the end. Throw in a romantic love story, a cheating bastard, interesting characters and a bit of a attempted murder mystery and you have yourself, one very exciting read.
Peregrine Latimer, prefers to be called Perry and who the hell could blame him. Perry thinks he has got it made, a wonderful job as an architect, and equally wonderful life partner. The man he thinks is the love of his life and why wouldn’t he be, they have been friends since the 4th grade, a friendship that progressed to being lovers and their lives seems pretty much perfect. Until he gets home and catches his lover with a *twink*, then his foundation takes a tumble for the worst. The man he thought he knew and loved betrays him in the worst way possible and what felt perfect a few moments ago, has now become the very thing that might destroy him.
So with this new reality, Perry is facing a series of emotions; the sadness, anger and guilt. Could this possibly be his fault, and how long has the cheating been going on. All this is churning inside him which causes him to become a bit stressed, that leads to the mother of all headaches. So hoping to escape in some hard medication, Perry takes some pills without realizing it’s the wrong meds. He has an allergic reaction, passes out, bumps his head in a few places and almost bleed to death. Luckily he was on the phone with his boss, who pulled a quick rescue and got him to the hospital just in time. Perry awakens in the hospital with a hairline fracture, a new project and a neat little gift.
This is where the story became interesting for me, Perry’s little gift leaves him able to distinguish lies from truth. With lies the taste of aloes appear on his tongue, and aloe is known for its very bitter taste. So now Perry has to figure out if he is crazy, or is this trick a side effect from hitting his head a few times too many or could it possibly be something more serious. This new trick helps him figure out how long his partner was cheating and how sincere is his apology, well… this makes Perry decisions easy, its time to move on from the only man he has ever known.
This is all told through Perry’s POV, and we watch him has he grows as a character. How he throws himself into his work on a restoration on a house and the feeling that the new client is stirring inside him. Its almost poetic the feelings that Perry expresses, how does one move on from a bad break-up and find the will to trust again. Well Miss Quinton makes it a little easy by introducing two love interests, both very likable and all man, Joe and Drew. Who he will choose is pretty much clear, but it was fun to watch him struggle with his desires. Plus the mystery aspect of it all was a nice little twist that created a few finger biting moments. It added a little something special to the storyline and used Perry’s gift to the fullest. Someone wants him to stay away from Drew and they are pulling out all the stops to see that it happens. With threatening letters, creepy phone calls and attempted murder, now Perry and Drew has to figure out the whys and who.
I enjoyed that Perry didn’t just jump into bed with the first available guy, he actually had thoughts and decisions on how he wanted to progress, no rebound sex was going to make anything any easier, so he thought about it before moving on to anything sexual. The sexual aspect of the book is not very sexual, where there is actual sex scenes its not very explicit but very sweet. I found that it only made the book that much better, not all the time do we need a play by play of where all the parts goes.
Overall and entertaining read with engaging characters and one hell of a lead male, I loved Perry and I also love the guy he chooses. A well thought out story about new beginnings and finding love in the most unlikely places. Plus you get a mini education in house restoration, that was not boring at all. The ending threw me for a loop, I kept looking at my computer saying “this can’t be it, where’s the rest of it”. I am hoping the ending might lead to a sequel or something because I am curious as to what will become of Perry and his new lover. So Quinton please hook us up, I want more.
What can I say that hasn’t been said before, this book will push your boundaries, leave you going “hmm” and the next seco ^^ THIS PUPPY IS NO BITCH!^^
What can I say that hasn’t been said before, this book will push your boundaries, leave you going “hmm” and the next second have you pissed as hell. I can say this is work of good writing, interesting characters and a storyline unlike any, I have had the privilege to read. I thought I would dislike this book and let me tell you how surprised I was that I actually loved it. The idea behind it I found original and that could be because of my interpretation. It was hilarious, sweet and down right exhausting at times; but you are never bored. A little over 500pages, I devoured it in one day.
Petey is small, Petey is weak and then Petey is bullied, Petey is rescued by someone he idolizes and possibly worships. The idol comes in the form of Matt Porter, he is the epitome of all that is man. He is beautiful, smart, athletic and rich. He is idolized by anyone he comes in contact with, he is awesomeness. With them both; you have the superior and the subordinate and it begins a relationship of a Dom and his submissive.
The plot is pretty much about two nineteen years old boys coming into their roles. They both recognized the roles that they will play in each other lives, and they both figure out how to progress from there. Petey knows he is supposed to be bowing at Matt’s feet, and Matt recognizes that its where Petey belongs. The road ahead isn’t easy and you recognize the immaturity in both of them. I came the conclusion that the immaturity was written on purpose because it leaves them room to grow, they are so very imperfect and its that’s imperfection that makes them genuine.
The narration is told through Petey’s POV and he is believable as a submissive character, he tends to be a bit on the annoying side at times, but his personality never wavers. His inner most thoughts are a true reflection of himself; he struggles with insecurities and he constantly questions the love of Matt. He never questions that he is supposed to be owned and I liked that. He knows he is property, accepts it and moves on from there. I felt there was a whole lot he need to be open about, but the author just never ventured down that road. Petey is believable as a character and also as a submissive.
Matt on the other hand is an asshole plain and simple, but you cant help but love him. Him as a Dom is like a big ego trip, he walks the walk of a man who rules and everyone around him takes notice. He rules with a firm hand but its also gentle, he knows exactly who he is and I just love it. He has swagger, he’s got style and he can be down right vicious. Matt owns his role and he is believable. There is the occasional mistake but his age makes up for that. Together they just work, I found myself finding the scenes with them together sexy sweet. A mixture of erotic, romantic and sometimes dirty. They were like two halves of a whole both able to give what the other needs and in then end creating a perfect balance in the relationship. Some of the scenes were a little out there, but I never got the feeling that it was for the purpose of shock value.
Overall a pretty out there read, some might say its sexual slavery or borderline abuse; but if you think that’s slavery obviously you have never taken a history class. For the purpose of abuse, doesn’t even fall in the same category. Petey wants to be owned, he needs to be owned and in the end every humiliation and order could have been stopped if that was what he wanted. I must warn you there is the exchange of the occasional bodily fluids (and I don‘t mean sperm), which I found disgusting the “only” set back for me. There was some spanking that I found hilarious, could be I am having a very perverse month, because this book was freaking funny.
So if you want a D/s story without all the whips, chains and leather then you might enjoy this one. If you dislike human ownership and someone telling another what to do and then calling it love, then you might wanna stay clear of this one. Then again I thought I would hate it, but I ended up loving it so sometimes one judgement can be off. The other characters in the book are pretty great in the background, but they fail to take the spotlight off of Matt and Petey. I am excited to see what Petey and Matt get up to in Puppy Love 2 because these two are purely entertainment.
Slow Bloom was a real treat; it blew away all my expectations and more. I was expecting summer fling between younger man ^^I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS!^^
Slow Bloom was a real treat; it blew away all my expectations and more. I was expecting summer fling between younger man and older man. Lots of sex and a quick HEA, I got so much more than that. I was surprised, and moved all in one. So I think Slow Bloom is an…
Expression of Sexuality! What I mean, is that the characters and the story offer up so many ways to look at love, sex, and relationships. Also the discovery of a young boy finding out what his sexuality is, and not just leaving it at ‘I am gay’. Personally, I have never read an M/M erotica like this and I hope to read much more like this book in the future.
Ricky is a young boy of eighteen who has had a crush on his next-door neighbour since he was fifteen. The problem is Jack is thirty years older than he is, and secondly he has no idea Ricky even exists. Everyone in the neighbourhood knows that Jack Corson is gay, but he is famous and talented so he is pretty much accepted. He doesn’t flaunt his lifestyle so no one really cares. Well Ricky cares, and after landing a job working as Jack’s gardener, he decides to make a move. A little interlude in the kitchen was supposed to be a one-time thing, a little seduction on Ricky’s part to experience what it’s like just once to be with Jack. Then Ricky is assaulted, and he calls the one person he knows he can trust and that is Jack, and it leads to one *hawt* summer.
This summer is about not only sex, but also a discovery of a young boy coming into his manhood. All the things he thought he knew about sex, about gay sex is broadened with Jack. They go on a journey, a man of forty eight who has seen it all and done about everything, is made to see things in a whole new light because of his young lover. Ricky learns about himself, and finds a confidence in Jack’s arms, that it was in every sense ok for him to just be Ricky.
The book is not without a few obstacles, Jack is afraid that he might inadvertently changing Ricky to please him, its never his intention to corrupt him but to make him reach decisions on his own. This plays out sexually, and it becomes clear that this relationship is a lot more than sex. Jack makes Ricky happy; he is one hundred percent himself with the older man. Moreover, Ricky is teaching Jack to just love.
The sex is freaking awesome in my opinion, it happens quite often but each time I am a little more shocked. It pushes boundaries, and it was boundaries I appreciated, and a little self-discovery. I like men who sometimes wear women clothing *gasp*. I thought it was the freaking greatest part of the book, and I thought ‘WHY NOT’! I like to wear boxers, baggy sweatpants, and baseball caps, and put a little swagger in my walk. So why can’t a man enjoy wearing a dress now and again and feeling sexy. It’s not a huge part of the book, but I thought it wonderful.
I really loved the book, and some readers might have a problem with the age gap. So let me say, its not about an old man taking advantage of a young boy, it might have been about a young boy wanting to land his crush, but it evolves to something greater. It is a love story, and it’s beautiful and I freaking loved it. The characters were awesome, I loved Jack, he is just this grumpy old man, but a compassionate and caring one. This book is no boy searching for a daddy cus Ricky already has one. I liked Ricky, I loved how he was unsure but he became confident and someone to respect.
This book is what I have always thought of sex and sexuality, “to each is own”. I do not think any thing about any form of sex is wrong as long as there is consent, and the person is happy. Lets be real, what might float your boat might sink my ship, it’s not wrong; just not for me.
I gotta say I love that cover so incredibly pretty and eye catching. Kudos to it being an original cover. I really enjoyed reading this story, the BDSM part of it is light, but spanktacular. It has pretty men and it’s so very yaoi. I was freaking sold on that alone, because yaoi is my everything.
So Derek is out to catch a predator after being drugged and violated, he’s got revenge on the brain. So waiting in the back room of a club/bar, he is waiting for the perve to strike. While being mysterious and investigative in the bar, Derek spots a hotty all pretty boy splendour looking like just his type. Well, Derek is about to catch the man who assaulted him and rescue the boy that caught his eye, and thus begins his Blue Ruin.
Everyone calls him Blue because he has the hair, and he’s just the street kid trying to make it. Until he’s drugged and almost raped and the beautiful man with the auburn hair and exotic eyes comes to his rescue. Blue never expected to end up in a D/s relationship but he’s finding that it works for him. Plus it’s not so bad with someone as beautiful as Derek is.
I really enjoyed reading this book; my opinion might be rather biased because this book has the pretty. I do love my men pretty, and Blue is the epitome of all that. The writing is classic yaoi, which also equals good for me. It’s also very entertaining and moves quite well, it has a small mystery to add a little drama to the story. Though all that doesn’t outshine the awesmazingness that is Derek and Blue.
The BDSM aspect of it all is really light and fun, whether it’s your cuppa or not, there is nothing here to be worried about. Some spanking, light bondage and all that, all very sexy stuff. I really enjoyed this one and am really excited to read the rest in this series. Yep, Blue has ruined me too.
SideNote- My fave scene is when Derek dresses Blue, gawds I loved it so much.
