Blood Moon started out real interesting for me. It had a bit of mystery, sounded dark and sexy, and our main character was pining for his best friend. Therefore, I was really enjoying it, until it became a mush fest wrapped in more mush fest.
With a title like that, I was expecting blood, sex, and hot vampire action. I felt like I was reading about teenagers getting it on for the first time. Zach is back at the family cabin for his vacation, a place he would rather avoid. It brings back memories of his best friend, who was his first love and all that. One night of a hot kiss, and feelings confession he thought he would have spent the rest of his life with his best friend, and then he ups and disappear. Crushed by Noah’s rejection, the memories at the lake aren’t so good anymore. Well this year at the cabin is different, Noah is back and he wants to pick up right where they left off.
It seems that Noah is a vampire hunter (doesn’t it just sound exciting), and a stakeout gone badly leads to the death of his parents, and Noah becoming a vampire. His family is known for their vampire hunting skills, and they kill without asking questions. Imagine if they found out that one of their own was a monster, it would be lights out for Noah. So he hides until he can’t hide anymore, he can’t forget Zach and so this year he must have him.
What happens later is quite predictable. It’s all “I am a vampire but I love you don’t be afraid”, “I will be afraid for five minutes but I love you anyways so I can accept that you are undead”. Sex, lots of talking to get to know each other followed by sex, and meeting all the other things that go bump in the night. Throw in some family drama, a not so shocking moment and vampire turning that you saw coming and you have Blood Moon.
I really expected more angst from this book, I guess it was a romantic story, but I found the writing quite juvenile. I just felt like all the things that could have happened; did. I wanted more excitement, and I really wanted to like Noah and Zach a lot more, I just felt like they were the same character but with different names. I will read the second book in this series and am hoping it’s a lot better.
I was completely hooked by this book from beginning to the very end. This author is becoming a new fave of mine, she’s...more ^^HOW I WISH THIS WAS LONGER!^^
I was completely hooked by this book from beginning to the very end. This author is becoming a new fave of mine, she’s so good I am considering reading her M/F works. For those of you, who know me; will realize that this is huge, cus M/F erotica tends to annoy the living daylights out of me. My only problem is that this book is like 100 pages too short. I wanted more of our main characters world, and I think this is why the author is just that good. With Blaque/Bleu, I never wanted it to end, could have read about them all day and never would have been bored.
Brutus is a paranormal investigator and is on the hunt for a killer. His search brings him to London and the bar Last Call. He is there for business not pleasure, until his eyes land on a red head Siberian husky, with playful eyes and wicked intents behind his sweet smile. Unable to deny his attraction to the red head Jasper, a night of wicked fun and submission leads to more than Brutus had in mind.
The hunt for a serial demon is on, and in the midst of all that Brutus is falling in love and it scares the living daylights out of him. He is the black wolf, but so much more than a wolf. accustomed to being alone, Jasper is making him feel things that he never thought possible, he was supposed to be just a one night f*ck. Throw in a battle that could cost them both their lives, and you have one exciting short read. A little BDSM with a twist, mmmmm I lurve.
One thing you can expect from Belinda is an exciting story, the sex is not plentiful but when it happens; IT HAPPENS. This is all about story telling, and in these very short pages, you know every character without the ongoing details. Another solid read. (less)

While reading certain books you sometimes discover new things about yourself. While reading Gemini I discovered twins in a relationship makes me drool. I am no virgin to all that is brotherly love, but somehow I am almost died reading this, and kept looking out for theto strike me down (and if it did, I would be disgraced by the amount of drool around my burnt body).
Gent is a tattoo artist with nipple piercing attached by a chain (just saying cus that shit is important). When a button up dude walks in the shop looking like he don’t belong, Gent is instantly attracted. When said schoolboy hottie says he’s also getting nipple piercing Gent gets all kinds of hard in his pants and is hoping to see schoolboy (Paul) again. When Gent gets his wish and finds out that Paul got his nipples done for another guy, the guy being Paul’s twin brother Jaime. It seems they both want him to come to them. Gent is thinking his life is about to get interesting.
There is no big plot factor here, there is a twin, there is Gent, and all three get naked. Many, many, many times. I guess there is little bit of a down, cus the world will only see paul as Gent’s boyfriend and he can never publicly claim that they both belong to him without giving away the fact that both Paul and Jaime like to naked with each other.
The name of the book is because all three share a birthday, does it have some deeper meaning? Nope, they are Gemini, and now they are Gemini and that other guy. I think the book would have been perfect if there were a few conflicts but there is just sex and more sex. Don’t get me wrong; I am not complaining.
I should warn you guys that if you aren’t into brothers getting naked. Then this book won’t be for you, cus nothing is off limits to Jaime and Paul.
Reflection- I never really thought of the dangers for a tattoo artist. I forgot that they work with blood and needles and need to be over the top safe. This book brought that to light, and I now have a newfound respect for the artists. (less)

THE COVER- Really goes with the story. Horses play a huge part of our main characters life. He is also a dark horse of a character, he just comes out of nowhere. You love him or hate him. Also it’s clear that there will be three men involved, and that alone captures your attention.
My first book by Kate Sherwood and it came on strong, very strong. I had so many emotions reading this book, mostly I was a blubbering mess; with tears streaked face. The level of pain in the first 150pages of this book left me with a migraine, and so hopelessly in love. All I am saying is if you want a moving story, this is the book for you.
Dan is a horse trainer and a good one, living day to day is hard though. It has been a little over a year since an accident cost him to lose his lover. Now Justin lies in a coma, just a body without life. Dan is hopeful that he will one day wake up. However, he has to be realistic and face the facts Justin is gone. When a rich family comes to his barn, to check out buying a few horses, Dan has no idea that they are about to change his life. Justin’s parents decide that the next time he has a heart attack or seizure; they will not allow the doctors to bring him back. Dan can’t deal with that information and he becomes resentful and a bit of an asshole. The days leading up to Justin’s funeral will be a test to Dan’s sanity.
Dan finds strength in the least likely person and let’s say that Dan gets a new job, and the opportunity to begin a new life. Because in walks Evan and Jeff, though Dan is initially attracted to Jeff in the beginning he realizes that, he has a lot of love to give. Dan gets invited in a relationship that would involve all three and the next 150pages becomes all kinds of effed up, in the best way possible. Its really not a sexual realtionship until later, but these three are so connected that its clearly a relationship.
These characters have no idea what they are doing, Jeff and Evan is an established couple and inviting Dan is something they both want. I guess this where I became pissed, I have a love/hate relationship with Dan. He is endearing but he also is a bit of an asshole. His procrastination when it came to both Evan and Jeff sort of pissed me off. I hated that he was so easy with Jeff, but found it so difficult to accept Evan. Evan and Jeff are not safe from my wrath. I hated how they discussed Dan, and when they settled on a decision, they would include him. It was like a couple and a third, not a relationship involving three people.
Its no quick HEA, and really there isn’t one, but it’s a slow progression of a relationship that needs building, and even though I was irked most of the time I freaking loved it. I am all kinds of in love with Evan, he makes me happy. Jeff is just a little too perfect for my taste, and I hated his goody two shoes character, I just hated it. Dan is in a league of his own when you think messed up. I can’t blame it on his losing his partner and more on the fact that he has always been like that. He is offended easily, quick to jump to conclusions, and assumes way too much. Seriously, I had problems with Jeff and Dan; those fucking two pissed me off. I had problems with Jeff and Evan, Dan and Evan. Mostly I am just pissed cus I wasn’t there.
Sex is long way off in this book, frankly; it was well developed. Sexual tension plays a key role, and I love sexual tension. It had the right amount to make you wanna chew your fingers off.
There is so much left to say but frankly, my fingers need a break. I do recommend this book, its a beautiful story, with real characters, and horses with some serious personality. Kate Sherwood is an author to look out for, gotta give props to someone who can write a character who is dead in most of the book, but makes you love him. Thank goodness, there is a sequel otherwise; I would be cursing Dan all the way, to wherever he came from.
Concubine was just pure awesome, I am in all kinds of love with the world the author created. Although, Taren influenced my liking that sexy purple demon who makes me want to burn all my pants. It was incredibly sexy, sweet, and downright sinful. Concubine is so much more than its cover.
We meet Prince Kael, respected and loved by his people and captain of their army. His life is good, but he hates the fighting and wishes it to end, because the death of his people could have been avoided if only his father had listened. Fighting a war with the demons will eventually lead to their demise, cus they fight like the devil himself. So when his country is about to lose it all, what does his father do (the king)? Gives him up as a war prize, to be concubine to warlord Taren. Did his father miss the part where he was a guy and a fecking Prince!
So being the honour bound guy that Kael is, he decides to submit to Taren for the good of his people. Where he thought the demon would have just bent him over the closest surface. Taren begins a slow seduction and teaches Kael about his world. Leaving the prince confused and angry, because he has always been attracted to women but Taren is bringing out some serious feelings. Plus, all the bondage play is turning Kael on something fierce leading him to call himself some hateful names.
Through it all it quite apparent that they care for each other. In the beginning the relationship might have been one of his master and slave, but I felt that somehow they evolved to something more. On the surface, it looks like Taren is in charge, but if you look closely Kael holds the card. Because Taren would be beastly without him.
I loved Taren; purple is my new fave color. Let me tell you cum has never been particular attractive to me, but somehow a lavender color most definitely kicks it up a notch. It reminds me of sunshine and rainbows *winks*. I also loved the scales, jeez its like keep me away from the fishes, because scales is the new sexy. I guess I could talk about Taren's height, but whom the fuck cares; the man is sex on legs. I equally am a little obsessed with Kael call me a character slut.
I have finally read My Summer of Wes, after being on my TBR for what feels like a hundred years. I read the story that was making a few online friends crazy with happiness. I must say ‘I am happy too'! How effing cute is this book, it made me want to go out and fall in love. Just so super uplifting, just wanna skip through fields of wheat and celebrate. Though it’s mostly a sweet story there is still some pretty strong issues presented, and I found that it created a wonderful balance.
Our main protagonist Mal is the shy kid the one picked on through all his high school years. Beaten and made to feel worthless by school bullies. Abused for being gay, before he even knew he was. It’s his last summer at home, and he is trying to keep under the radar. Soon he will leave his vanilla life, and venture off to college. Yet his home life has shaped him to be a scared young man until he gets a fancy new neighbour whose about to spill some fudge on his vanilla.
Wes is the outgoing boy, gay and proud. He restores cars, is charismatic and could care less what anyone would say about his life. When he is chatted up by the neighbourhood bullies and comes out on top, Wes has never been more larger than life and Mal takes notice. The two strike up a friendship, openly gay Wes and shy unassuming Mal who has no clue where he falls on the sexual scale. The summer is going to be about Wes, and a young Mal finally coming into his own after being finally given the freedom to do so.
I am really taken with this book, because of the well-housed balance it offers. Not just sex on pages, it offers a little reality with the reading. The emotional repercussion of being bullied can really keep one in their shell. Mal is a product of that, and the simplicity of it only takes one kind word or one friend to make things a bit better. Though it seems, Mal got a good deal; he got love too.
This story is crazy, sexy, cool. Mal and Wes are hot and young together, and I freaking love it. I recommend this book if you are looking for some PYT (pretty young thing), seriously I got TLC and Michael Jackson in here. That means the book is awesmazing
SideNote- I always said all the hate from bullying comes from a deep-rooted hate of oneself, and if you have something to hide.(less)
