It waswow this book was amazing. there were s many stories that were completely different from one another. my favorite story was called Separation. It was really sad. It was about a mother who realizes her kid is growing up and she knows he will be gone before she can blink twice. she doesn't want him to go but she knows he will be gone soon and there will be nothing she can do about it.
this story is like many parents stories. their kids grow up really fast even when they don't want them to. A lot of people have said to me "it was only yesterday that you were running around in dippers". this story is about that. its about a mothers baby fading before her own eyes. she doesn't want him to be gone but he slowly is leaving her.
in the story, the mother and child only found peace with each other. the little boy didn't get along with any of the other children and mother felt like she wasn't supposed to be there when she was around the other mothers at her kids daycare. they only felt happy around each other.
this also shows how hard it is to get people to accept you for who you really are. the main family wasn't as wealthy as the other families at the daycare. this shows how class matters to people and how upper class people prefer to be around other upper class people and how middle class people prefer to be around other middle class people and lastly how lower class people prefer to be around lower class people.
in a way, this story reminded me of Nikkie and Micha. there wasn't a man around in either of their families when there should have been, and they both had big bumps in their roads to becoming a happy well supported family. its kind of hard to explain how their families are alike but its easy to understand when you read the story. this was only one of the amazing stories in the stories of mary gordon....more
This book is amazing. it really showed the reader how much the vampire's cared about tradition and respect and pride. i was kind pf scared for DarranThis book is amazing. it really showed the reader how much the vampire's cared about tradition and respect and pride. i was kind pf scared for Darran when he found out that he had to take the trials of death or he would be looked down upon by the other vampires. the trials where really deadly and he nearly died in every trial, but with the luck of the vampires, he survived each trial he had to deal with.
The trials can relate to the outside world in many was. one way is that, when a man was trying to become a knight, he had to complete a couple tasks. one task was fighting a wild boar and Darran had to fight two vampire blooded boars. this is one way Darran's tasks can relate to the outside world (Old outside world...we don't have knights anymore).
Respect is a big thing to vampires and in order to gain respect, you have to earn it. Darran had to prove himself a worthy vampire by completing five trials of death. Many vampires didn't believe Darran would live to see the next day after the first trial but that changed when Darran passed the first two trials.
This can connect to the outside world in many ways. one way is that, respect for humans means power. humans also earn their respect by doing noble things leading people in a time of need. Some people have respected family members and get that respect once their family member passes on or dies. this is how respect can relate to the outside world....more

I have so many questions for you. I was wondering why you didn't tell any one about what happend to you? i know its a hard thing to talk about but it hurt you more when you chose not to tell anyone. It was clear that you were scared but, there must have been some one who you could have told. i was also wondering why your mother or father didn't notice, or didn't react to the change in you. if i had a child who changed that much, i would have known something was wrong. when i read this book, i felt so bad for you and it made me think of how many young people are effected by this in their life.
i was also wondering why your friends where so unforgiving. i know that calling the cops at a under age party is like sending every one there to jail but i still think they should have given you a chance to tell them what happend. in the end it turned out better for you when you finally told someone. That jerk got what he needed.

I LOVE THIS BOOK. it has to be one of the best books i have EVER read.the story line is so engaging and interesting that its hard to put the book downI LOVE THIS BOOK. it has to be one of the best books i have EVER read.the story line is so engaging and interesting that its hard to put the book down. its actually like your eyes are glued to the page! Suzanne Collins is a really great writer because the story is something you probably wouldn't think of. its such a vast idea and everything that was a part of this book always had meaning. There was nothing left unexplained. This book has to be my all time favorite book at the moment. reading responce the one thing in this book that i really like is how your always at the edge of your seat when you are reading it. the hunger games isn't one of those books where you can predict what will happen because this book has so many shocking elements that you don't know what to expect. That is what makes a book fantastic in my opinion.
The only thing that slightly annoying was the ending. it wasn't all that great but it was still okay. When Katniss admits her fake love for peeta, it was upsetting for me because i somewhat knew it was fake but i didn't want it to be. lastly, Suzanne didn't give the reader enough to work with at the end. i mean, there wasn't enough information or a big enough hint for what will happen in the third book. there were to many open ended possibility's.
I love this book so much that, if i had to choose one book that was the only book i could read for the rest of my life, god forbid, it would be the hunger games. Its sooooooo amazingly good. i cant wait to finish the second book.
Ps. sorry if i gave away part of the ending...opps....more

Then she died and the four of them that were left(Aria, Emily, Spencer, and Hannah) drifted form each other. they didn't see much of each other until three years later when they found Alison's body and had a service for her.
i think that the four girls splitting up can relate to the world because a lot of friends say they will stick together until the end but its really a lie because one way or another they will lose interest in being friends or realize their differences and finally, they will all be apart.
in my book, they talk about "the Jenna thing" a lot. it really confuses me because i have no idea what the Jenna thing is or was. they said that Jenna was a "dork" with a weird brother named Toby. thats all they say about this Jenna thing and i really want to know more.
i love this book. i am always looking for a book that i will enjoy and read really quickly. i haven't found many books like that but this one is clearly one of those books. the story is crazy how they get blackmailing texts from their dead best friend...or so they thought until Alison's body turned up....more
The line "Even in death, May i be triumphed", really stood out to me because it showed that you would rather die than be saved by a tDear Darran Shan,
The line "Even in death, May i be triumphed", really stood out to me because it showed that you would rather die than be saved by a traitor and that you would die with pride win against him by making him suffer your death. It amazes me of the things you managed to survive. even as a half vampire, i thought you would be burned to a crisp in the hall of flames but you proved me wrong. I think that the pointy hall thing was the easy one of the four trials you attempted.
I think you shouldn't have left vampire mountain because you shamed Mr.Crepsly and he wouldn't have been able to deal with the shame. But, if you didn't go, then you would have never discovered the vampaneze and Gavner Purl wouldn't have died.
I do think you deserved to become a vampire prince but it really shocked me. i thought they where going to send you to the hall of death. I think it was a strange choice but you did save the vampires from a attack on the vampaneze.
Kurda's relationship with you was strange. he acted like a friend to you and you couldn't help but feel sorry for him and want to defend at some points but he still wronged you and there was nothing he could do to change that. i do think he deserved to be put to the stakes.
Your life is a wild story and so many strange things happened to you. I do agree that you are a worthy vampire and i cant wait to read more about the happenings in your life.
