So when Marks first mets Jasmine, the new intern at his company,he can't wait to have her. So he schemes a plan and hope to get both satisfaction and privacy. Jasmine is a seemingly shy-just-turned-twenty-girl who will do anything to please her new boss.
Not as dirty as I imagined and hoped for. I was thinking something more along the lines of blackmail. It was more on the romantic, than on the pervy side. The sex however was hot. I wish it was a bit longer though. Quick and entertaining read....more

Review: The Night is Mine is the 1st on The Night Stalkers series. I had never read anything from M. L. Buchman, and I found that I really liked. Captain Emily Beale is a pilot, not a simple one, she's the first woman to get in SOAR, Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Which only accept the best from the best. She's in the top of the world when after a CNN interview she's sent back to US, to become head chef for the First Lady. However, she will have a double job. Acting as chef, and bodyguard. Major Mark Henderson, her Commanding Officer is not too happy when he learns of her being sent stateside, and after months of hiding feelings from her and just about everybody, he kisses her, a kiss that could end both their careers. There is a plot to kill the First Lady, and is Emily's mission to uncover the operation.
I really, really, really liked The Night is Mine. It's packed with action, and plots and twists and turns. There is a bit of romance, sex and a whole lot of steam between Emily and Mark. Emily is the perfect heroin. Not one to cower, she's one of the most fearless female character I had the pleasure to read. I also like that going in in a man's world, she doesn't back down, and hide behind a man, or turns submissive when she's out of the cockpit. Mark was a delight to read. I abso loved how he was described in the beginning, and how much of that was really true.
Loved The Night is Mine. Can't wait for the next on line!...more

To Sin With a Viking is a story about finding love in the most unexpected places, and with the most unexpected person. Styr and Caragh lead different lives, in different places and don't even speak the same language. He is known for being ruthless, a savage killer. Caragh lives in a village suffering from poverty and famine. They have no food, and are wasting away more every day.
That's why when Styr is about to land near Caragh's home, her brother plans on taking their food and ship.
Styr has been married for five years. He and his wife, Elena, have been trying to have a baby for a long while, and the absence of children is wrecking their marriage. For this reason, he's trying for a new beginning, in a new place. Hoping that this can save their marriage
At the landing, tired from the travel and the sea storms, Styr and his friends aren't prepared for the sudden attack from the villagers. When Elena is held hostage by Caragh's brother, she knows the giant Viking will kill her brother. So in order to protect the young and stupid boy, she attacks herself the viking knocking the lights out of him. All hell breaks loose, and Caragh manages to hold the viking as a prisoner. He's stupefied to have her care for him, and share the little food she's got. Caragh is a blow of fresh air in his life, and while she fears him, and what he may do with her brother when he finds him, she's attracted to him.
The attraction is mutual, but they are both aware of Styr married status. As the story goes, we can't help to feel for them. It becames obvious the feelings they have for each other. And is also impossible for them to act on these feelings. At some points, they walk on a very fine line of cheating.
During this book, they must overcome a lot of things, they have to save people, and at the same time find a way to be together without hurting others and their beliefs.
I really liked this book. Even though, historical romance isn't my favorite niche of genres, at reading this book's synopsis, I felt draw. Styr and Caragh became one of my favorite couples I've read this year. I totally recommend To Sin With a Viking for my friends who enjoy a good historical romance, and I'm really looking forward for the next in this series.

Let me start by saying I was completely taken by surprise at how good this book was. I wasn't expecting it to be okay, let alone to be awesome.
Lucy isLet me start by saying I was completely taken by surprise at how good this book was. I wasn't expecting it to be okay, let alone to be awesome.
Lucy is a 16 years old girl, she's an normal girl, and like any normal person she have problems. When things gets too much she goes out and do something totally out of her character, compromising her own health. One night, one mistake, one disease she'll have to live with for the rest of her life.
Like any normal 16 years old, she's scared out of her mind. It's not easy for a grown up, I can't imagine what it would do to a kid to have been burdened with this kind of thing.
During one sexual encounter without protection, Lucy is infected with HIV, the virus that can lead to AIDS. Lucy falls into a void where all she can think is what the disease is going to do with her. She don't want anyone to know and starts by pushing away the loved ones in her life. But when she finally finds the courage to open up, she discovers that there's hope. She can live a normal life, as normal as a person in her condition can, including meds, meetings, doctor's appointments and a lot more.
This book makes us think: What if it was me? What was I going to do? We ask ourselves all that through Lucy's voice. I really liked her. She's just an simple good student, good friend and daughter. We watch her go through all this with her not so loving mother thrown into the mix, a new boyfriend and so much more in this gripping tale. I wholeheartedly give this a 5 stars rating. It was a great read. ...more
Taking in account I haven’t read the first one in this series, I didn’t really know what I was in for when I started Fire Inside. That said. Let’s getTaking in account I haven’t read the first one in this series, I didn’t really know what I was in for when I started Fire Inside. That said. Let’s get down and dirty;
The Main Characters: Hop: He’s a loyal Chaos Brother. He knows his ground, and that he will do everything to protect not only the MC family, but those around it. Those like Lanie. Hop’s got two kids and a crazy ex-wife.
Lanie: Since I didn’t read the first book, I didn’t get why everybody referred to her as crazy. She was annoying sometimes. She’s also loyal, but feels guilty for what she put her best friend through 7 years ago. Her family is fucked up, and it messes with her mind sometimes. Alcoholic mom, cheater dad.
Chaos MC: I entered this book thinking I was reading Sons of Anarchy and was, not exactly disappointed, but I expected more in terms of the MC. There are some MC bond moments, and how they do anything it takes to protect the Chaos famil.
The writing: I almost gave this book up before chapter 2. At first, at Hop’s parts we got things in 3rd person, but when we were in Lanie’s head, it was 1st person, and that was freaking madly annoying. I didn’t liked Lanie at the beginning. Didn’t liked her in the middle, but toward the end she somehow got some backbone and I started liking her. The 1st person still bothered me though; it wasn’t so bad as in the beginning. I think there was too much BS before they got the core of the story. The part that I was reading because it was interesting, and not because I got the ARC. Sometimes I felt like I was reading an so talked-about trilogy that I won’t bother naming it.
The Language: I totally need a Hop dictionary! Most of the time I couldn’t get what he was saying, and at other times I was cracking up so bad I didn’t even care. He ate nouns, pronouns, and sometimes verbs and adjectives! It was crazy
The Good: When feelings got involved! It felt real and made the book worth! They had problems, but it felt real, and I really liked.
The Bad: I had some trouble with the 1st person, since I’m not a fan of it. The way Lanie thought at the beginning drove me about insane. I seriously wanted to throw her off of a cliff so she would just shut up. She would find a word and form 4, 5 phrases with it. This is a pet peeve for me, and around chapter 2, I browsed through goodreads and 98% of the reviews were 4 or 5 Stars and it mind boggled me. I liked toward the end, but it took me a while.
All in all, I had a good time reading the book, when I felt connected to it. Some parts were just too much and I wouldn’t have minded deleted off the book. I had double feelings about this story, and at parts I felt like I would never read this author again, and at others I thought I would totally read other works by this writer.

Selena is one of the few authors I have already read who is not afraid of delving in the real taboo.
There are three main characters in this book, two girls, Leah and Erica and one man, Mr. Nolan. The girls find dirty pictures, books and films under his bed, which is a turn on and off to Leah, the good catholic girl. Erica is more advanced with these kinds of things and is soon talking Leah in watching and looking more in all that delicious dirty. From that on, Leah starts to see Mr. Nolan in a different light. He’s more than her dad’s best friend. He’s a man. Things start to change, and Leah is feeling the chemistry between them growing… And so is Mr. Nolan. A series of events leads Leah to his bed, and from then on, they start a torrid affair, without Erica being the wiser.
There are so many elements that made me get hooked in this book, like the confessions, the sex scenes, the friendship. It all adds up to a really nice story.
Like in the first book, I liked the pace and the tone Selena set in to it. It’s sexy and romantic at the same time, scorching and sweet. They had hot sex, but they also have sweet love.
But there is a secret that goes back in the years, and is revealed at the end. This is a secret that can and possibly will tear them all apart. Unless their love can overcome all that and goes past the barriers of taboo.
While I think the author did a good job in setting the book in the 1960’s, I liked the contemporary version more. However this is just a personal preference. The one thing I totally disliked was the cover, and that’s why I’m rating this book a 4.5 Stars. I’ll finish this review with a thank you note to Selena Kitt for offering this as an ARC. ...more

This short was in one word, Delicious. Rachel is all grown up now, and she wants to go to Daytona with her dad and his friends on a bike road trip. Too bad her dad won't let her! That won't stop Rachel, though. She'll do anything to go on the trip... Even fuck her dad's friends.
This was dirty enough for me to love it. There were no touchy-feelings to make it annoying. I really liked Rachel. She knew what she wanted, and she knew just howto get it. I'd had loved if it were longer, and that it showed the road trip itself! Based on this book only, Rachel Boleyn is the go-girl to hot short stories!...more

I started reading this thinking it was just some pseudo taboo and lots of sex. I wasn't expecting a plot, no less a good one at that.
Mona has a crush for her best friend's Dad, Isaac. She knows she's far too young for him and that he has a girlfriend, but that doesn't stop her feelings, though. After a fight with her drunken father, she runs to Isaac for help, and in the heat of the moment he reveals his feelings for her. Now Mona must decides if she continues with the stolen moments with the man she loves, or if she tell the truth to her best friend, risking to lose the two most importan person in her life.
I really liked this book, and would have rated higher if not for some typo and other mistakes like in the beginning of the book Isaac is described as having blue eyes, then they are emerald green. This is the kind of thing that makes me stop the story and wonder if I'm crazy. While it was a mistake, it didn't put me off the reading and I enjoyed this new author and am for sure gonna check other books by Jenika Snow....more
