I'm not much into PNR, but I couldn't help myself when I saw this series. This is my first Cynthia Eden book. There were things I liked and some I just... Ugh get it over with it. For starts this feels REAL long. I thought it was 605 instead of 305 pages only.
Keenan is a angel of death, he carries the soulf of those who dies to another plane. Nicole is one of his charges, and he must carry her soul. Only he hesitates and she lives - or dies - to become a vampire. Now he's fell from the heavens and he wants her.
At first it was weird why Keenan was after Nicole. It seemed he was angry with her because he was now a fallen, when she had nothing to do with that. Nicole... This girl really knows how to collect enemies. I lost count of how many people wanted her dead throughout this book. I mean what's so special about her? And then when the end came I was just.... Uh... Nothing. Figures.
The story starts in New Orleans, a place I LOVE to read about. Unfortunately there weren't much details regarding the city, beyond the French Quarter, and a small mention to Katrina. Since this is New Orleans we're talking about, there are a lot of magical beings that I'd like to know more, however they're just thew in it and I had to cope to follow the storyline. And for last but not least... Love... I think somethings were just way too fast for my tastes. For this reason some stuff just makes no sense for me.

I don't know why I took so long to read this book. I really don't. Now I'm so happy that I finally did. This is a Top 3 series for me, and books likeI don't know why I took so long to read this book. I loved both Seth and Lydia. One of the sweetest couple from the series. Also I got the chance to see some other characters I love. This was a little piece of haven! Can't wait for the next one!!...more
That was... plain bad. Didn't liked the plot. I was expecting more, since I loved #1 & #2 from the Fixed series. The only good thing, was the sex. YThat was... plain bad. Didn't liked the plot. I was expecting more, since I loved #1 & #2 from the Fixed series. The only good thing, was the sex. Yeah, true. Fae? Fairy world? Oh damn, I just don get it. Gimme a hot vamp, and I'll be happy. But a fae? Seriously? And lemme just say. It's *impossible* to feel a d*ck in your throat, when it's fucking your p*ssy. JUST saying!...more
This is more a 3.5, maybe even a 4 Stars. I know I may be beaten for this review, (what can I do if I'm a bit masochist?). Okay here it goes.

Cat & Bones. I've read amazing reviews all over. So went to see what the fuss is about.
What's the fuss about? Cat and Bones make a deadly couple. She being a half breed vampire, and he being a full blood one (no pun intended). They know each other at a weird situation. (Cat trying to kill him, but who's caring?). Both Cat and Bones have the same job, with different reasons: Kill Vampires.
Her reasons: All vamps are bad. One of them raped her mother, and she is his offspring. The (un)dead lives only to cause pain and kill. Or so she thinks.
His reasons: The money. To get rid of the scum in his species.
It started kinda slow. I felt like I was reading, reading, reading and going nowhere. At 40% however it started to pick a good pace. I liked the plot, and the way the story was told (even though 1st person annoys me). I laughed a whole freaking lot. They are both hilarious characters.
What I liked: * The fun. I love a book that can make me laugh, and this one did verily. * The chemistry between them. * The action. * Bones's accent. (Don't fret about it) * Cat's transformation. At the beginning she was kinda innocent. By half/end of the book I was seeing her with new eyes. Wasn't just externally, but also within her.
What I did not liked: * The beginning. Slow. I would have dropped if wasn't part of a Challenge. * Even as great as the main storyline is, I don't find it particularly different from PNR's out there. * Bones's I love you statement SO soon. (I was... huh? Seriously?) * I know I have something more, but just can't remember, so I'll skip this and finish this review.
In the end I'm glad I haven't dropped. It was worth it. I liked. There's a big cliffhanger in the end, but that it's okay to me. Guess I'll have to check itout the rest of the series. (And I don't think Bones looks like Spike!!)...more
