Review: The Night is Mine is the 1st on The Night Stalkers series. I had never read anything from M. L. Buchman, and I found that I really liked. Captain Emily Beale is a pilot, not a simple one, she's the first woman to get in SOAR, Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Which only accept the best from the best. She's in the top of the world when after a CNN interview she's sent back to US, to become head chef for the First Lady. However, she will have a double job. Acting as chef, and bodyguard. Major Mark Henderson, her Commanding Officer is not too happy when he learns of her being sent stateside, and after months of hiding feelings from her and just about everybody, he kisses her, a kiss that could end both their careers. There is a plot to kill the First Lady, and is Emily's mission to uncover the operation.
I really, really, really liked The Night is Mine. It's packed with action, and plots and twists and turns. There is a bit of romance, sex and a whole lot of steam between Emily and Mark. Emily is the perfect heroin. Not one to cower, she's one of the most fearless female character I had the pleasure to read. I also like that going in in a man's world, she doesn't back down, and hide behind a man, or turns submissive when she's out of the cockpit. Mark was a delight to read. I abso loved how he was described in the beginning, and how much of that was really true.
Loved The Night is Mine. Can't wait for the next on line!...more

To Sin With a Viking is a story about finding love in the most unexpected places, and with the most unexpected person. Styr and Caragh lead different lives, in different places and don't even speak the same language. He is known for being ruthless, a savage killer. Caragh lives in a village suffering from poverty and famine. They have no food, and are wasting away more every day.
That's why when Styr is about to land near Caragh's home, her brother plans on taking their food and ship.
Styr has been married for five years. He and his wife, Elena, have been trying to have a baby for a long while, and the absence of children is wrecking their marriage. For this reason, he's trying for a new beginning, in a new place. Hoping that this can save their marriage
At the landing, tired from the travel and the sea storms, Styr and his friends aren't prepared for the sudden attack from the villagers. When Elena is held hostage by Caragh's brother, she knows the giant Viking will kill her brother. So in order to protect the young and stupid boy, she attacks herself the viking knocking the lights out of him. All hell breaks loose, and Caragh manages to hold the viking as a prisoner. He's stupefied to have her care for him, and share the little food she's got. Caragh is a blow of fresh air in his life, and while she fears him, and what he may do with her brother when he finds him, she's attracted to him.
The attraction is mutual, but they are both aware of Styr married status. As the story goes, we can't help to feel for them. It becames obvious the feelings they have for each other. And is also impossible for them to act on these feelings. At some points, they walk on a very fine line of cheating.
During this book, they must overcome a lot of things, they have to save people, and at the same time find a way to be together without hurting others and their beliefs.
I really liked this book. Even though, historical romance isn't my favorite niche of genres, at reading this book's synopsis, I felt draw. Styr and Caragh became one of my favorite couples I've read this year. I totally recommend To Sin With a Viking for my friends who enjoy a good historical romance, and I'm really looking forward for the next in this series.

Taking in account I haven’t read the first one in this series, I didn’t really know what I was in for when I started Fire Inside. That said. Let’s getTaking in account I haven’t read the first one in this series, I didn’t really know what I was in for when I started Fire Inside. That said. Let’s get down and dirty;
The Main Characters: Hop: He’s a loyal Chaos Brother. He knows his ground, and that he will do everything to protect not only the MC family, but those around it. Those like Lanie. Hop’s got two kids and a crazy ex-wife.
Lanie: Since I didn’t read the first book, I didn’t get why everybody referred to her as crazy. She was annoying sometimes. She’s also loyal, but feels guilty for what she put her best friend through 7 years ago. Her family is fucked up, and it messes with her mind sometimes. Alcoholic mom, cheater dad.
Chaos MC: I entered this book thinking I was reading Sons of Anarchy and was, not exactly disappointed, but I expected more in terms of the MC. There are some MC bond moments, and how they do anything it takes to protect the Chaos famil.
The writing: I almost gave this book up before chapter 2. At first, at Hop’s parts we got things in 3rd person, but when we were in Lanie’s head, it was 1st person, and that was freaking madly annoying. I didn’t liked Lanie at the beginning. Didn’t liked her in the middle, but toward the end she somehow got some backbone and I started liking her. The 1st person still bothered me though; it wasn’t so bad as in the beginning. I think there was too much BS before they got the core of the story. The part that I was reading because it was interesting, and not because I got the ARC. Sometimes I felt like I was reading an so talked-about trilogy that I won’t bother naming it.
The Language: I totally need a Hop dictionary! Most of the time I couldn’t get what he was saying, and at other times I was cracking up so bad I didn’t even care. He ate nouns, pronouns, and sometimes verbs and adjectives! It was crazy
The Good: When feelings got involved! It felt real and made the book worth! They had problems, but it felt real, and I really liked.
The Bad: I had some trouble with the 1st person, since I’m not a fan of it. The way Lanie thought at the beginning drove me about insane. I seriously wanted to throw her off of a cliff so she would just shut up. She would find a word and form 4, 5 phrases with it. This is a pet peeve for me, and around chapter 2, I browsed through goodreads and 98% of the reviews were 4 or 5 Stars and it mind boggled me. I liked toward the end, but it took me a while.
All in all, I had a good time reading the book, when I felt connected to it. Some parts were just too much and I wouldn’t have minded deleted off the book. I had double feelings about this story, and at parts I felt like I would never read this author again, and at others I thought I would totally read other works by this writer.

I'm not much into PNR, but I couldn't help myself when I saw this series. This is my first Cynthia Eden book. There were things I liked and some I just... Ugh get it over with it. For starts this feels REAL long. I thought it was 605 instead of 305 pages only.
Keenan is a angel of death, he carries the soulf of those who dies to another plane. Nicole is one of his charges, and he must carry her soul. Only he hesitates and she lives - or dies - to become a vampire. Now he's fell from the heavens and he wants her.
At first it was weird why Keenan was after Nicole. It seemed he was angry with her because he was now a fallen, when she had nothing to do with that. Nicole... This girl really knows how to collect enemies. I lost count of how many people wanted her dead throughout this book. I mean what's so special about her? And then when the end came I was just.... Uh... Nothing. Figures.
The story starts in New Orleans, a place I LOVE to read about. Unfortunately there weren't much details regarding the city, beyond the French Quarter, and a small mention to Katrina. Since this is New Orleans we're talking about, there are a lot of magical beings that I'd like to know more, however they're just thew in it and I had to cope to follow the storyline. And for last but not least... Love... I think somethings were just way too fast for my tastes. For this reason some stuff just makes no sense for me.

Ryan is a fighter jet pilot whom had a rough start in life, and now his work to be better than the place he used to live is paying off. He's a war hero Major at 29, and a legend among other pilots. However his past, and his desires seems to be so together that he can't seem to have one without the other. Cassandra is a woman afraid of moving on in life. She's okay with the 'good-enough's, and at the same time wistful of bigger things for her. She's stuck between 3 jobs, and she can't seem to go with what she loves most, Art. When Ryan enters her life, he changes her and her routine. Ryan is changed too, he's finally free to step on the fantasies he's had for a long time. They are so good as a couple. Their sex are hot enough to burn, but they want-NEED more. Ryan, though has his past again caughting up on him, which makes him afraid of losing Cassandra, and himself to his fear. Cassandra is no Barbie Doll, however, and she won't let him run and hide, from her or him.
Wowza, did I totally LOVE this book! Katie Porter is a new author for me, I read a couple days ago their interviews at a book blog and got totally hooked on their books. First in the Vegas Top Guns series, Double Down has it all. It's erotica and romance with a great plot to hold it all together. P.S.: I laughed out loud at Ryan's nickname true meaning!...more

I have seen some books of her out there but never really stoped to read. This time I went totally for the cover. It was a great choice. I loved! Melissa is a workaholic, she doesn't have a life outside her job and her goals. There are things from her past that makes her feels like she NEEDS to be always on top on her work. Ben Cowley works in the same company, and is also a workaholic, however he's not the same since his 8 years long girlfriend broke up with him. (At Island Idyll) One day at the office, Mellisa decides to seduce Ben and propose an affair - on her terms - and he can't be more ready to accept. And I can't forget about Will, one of my favorites peeping Tom. Soooo sexy! :D
What did really surprised me it was how deep this story is. I thought it would be only some kind of wam-bam-thank-you-ma'am-i'll-love-you-forever. There was time however for their feelings to grow, and for them to really know each other. I totally recommend it! ...more

All it needed was one day, some mud and a stolen pond to fall in love - or in a bed - I guess. Huh. I know now why this series has never held any appeal to me.

A wicked stepsister, a sexy prince, and a one-night stand revisited. Cinderella, eat your heart out.
Once upon a time, there was a young woman of beauty, grace, and good nature…
Blah. Blah. Blah.
Rowyn Jeong knows her no-nonsense, less than warm personality cannot compare to her stepsister Cindy's bubbly charm and beauty. Hey, everyone has their niche, right? But being the plainer, wicked stepsister has never bothered her more than when Darius Fiore reappears in her life. Darius Fiore, the man she indulged in a one-night stand with six months ago, the businessman threatening her position within her stepfather's company, and the man her sister has her eyes—and hands—on.
Rowyn has never forgotten the man who allowed her to be someone else for a few sex-filled hours. Now that Darius has turned up in her territory, will he see past the hard exterior to the woman beneath, the one hungry for love and acceptance?
This is my first by Naima Simone, and I have to say I'm impressed. A Perfect Fit is really a perfect fit. This is a modern day fairy tale, without your average hero & heroin.
One thing I loved, was the little quotes before each chapter. The "Welcome back, buddy" had me laughing out loud.
I really likedd the couple. They were very sexy and very lovable. I think this book can and should be described as erotic romance. There's enough of both for the romantic and the perv in me to love it. I'm rating 4 solid stars for A Perfect Fit, and will for sure watch what this author from now on!...more

Ah, wouldn't I kill myself with twins like that? Lol.
Dallas is the kind of buddy-dad. He doesn't set limits to his kids. What they want, he gives. What they do, is right. When someone say they are behaving badly, that person is WRONG. Loosing mommy is reason enough to let them take over the world.
Now calm down, dude, THEY ARE LITTLE MONSTERS!!!! Wtf??
This is an almost Parents 101 - What's right, and what's NOT.
Josie is almost a saint. For teaching the little evil twins, and for taking Dallas first as her "student", and then as a "friend".
I laughed, the girls are oh-my-god-i-'ll-kill-that-kid priceless.
What I'd liked more, was a bit more of relationship between Josie and Dallas, before (view spoiler)[pregnancy & wedding (hide spoiler)] to believe in them as a real couple, and not just an dealing-with-consequences kinda couple. But besides that, it was a good book. Not great, but had me entertained for the night....more
