Review: The Night is Mine is the 1st on The Night Stalkers series. I had never read anything from M. L. Buchman, and I found that I really liked. Captain Emily Beale is a pilot, not a simple one, she's the first woman to get in SOAR, Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Which only accept the best from the best. She's in the top of the world when after a CNN interview she's sent back to US, to become head chef for the First Lady. However, she will have a double job. Acting as chef, and bodyguard. Major Mark Henderson, her Commanding Officer is not too happy when he learns of her being sent stateside, and after months of hiding feelings from her and just about everybody, he kisses her, a kiss that could end both their careers. There is a plot to kill the First Lady, and is Emily's mission to uncover the operation.
I really, really, really liked The Night is Mine. It's packed with action, and plots and twists and turns. There is a bit of romance, sex and a whole lot of steam between Emily and Mark. Emily is the perfect heroin. Not one to cower, she's one of the most fearless female character I had the pleasure to read. I also like that going in in a man's world, she doesn't back down, and hide behind a man, or turns submissive when she's out of the cockpit. Mark was a delight to read. I abso loved how he was described in the beginning, and how much of that was really true.
Loved The Night is Mine. Can't wait for the next on line!...more

Not my kimd of read but I enjoyed nonetheless.
Took me a whole day to read it, and it was totally worth. I loved the main couple, the plot, their love story and all the side characters. It was a great start for the series, and while I'm not a fan of historical romance, I'm looking forward for the rest of the Blakewell/Kenleigh Families Saga....more

Had some up and down moments. I liked the suspense aspect of it, but I didnt like how the romance just popped from god only knows where. I think the author did a good job, although it was just too long and some parts could have been cut so the suspense would be thighter and no t so all over the place.
Lacey Sherlock has had her life turned upside down when she was only 19, when her sister was brutally murdered by a serial killer. She lived in fear for a time, and one day she decided to change and get justice for her sister. Dillon Savich is the chief of CAU - Criminal Apprehension Unit - They use technology to hunt for serial killers. Dillon is also Lacey's new boss.
I think Coulter leaned heavily on the suspense and policial aspect until 60% of the book, and then went with drama and romance. I just couldn't understand some characters, and I felt that a few could have been excluded. It was too much happening at the same time. I'm not sure if it was just my file, but the were various typos and there were non ***** to change the POV, and that pissed me off and threw me for a loop. I'm rating The Maze 3 Stars and will for sure read other in the series. I'm just not sure when....more
Seth is kinda whacked in the head with his many personalities, and Raine cries no end of rivers and rivers. However II loveeeeed Behind Closed Doors!!
Seth is kinda whacked in the head with his many personalities, and Raine cries no end of rivers and rivers. However I was hooked by the plot, by the characters, by the sex (was that hot!!)
I also loved the other characters (Connor, Davvy, Sean, Victor...)
The main couple develops and grows a lot. I really liked the way it happens. Seth isn't flowers and chocolates and Raine isn't to take from him. Both strong, both half crazy. Can't wait for the next in the series.
This is more a 3.5, maybe even a 4 Stars. I know I may be beaten for this review, (what can I do if I'm a bit masochist?). Okay here it goes.

Cat & Bones. I've read amazing reviews all over. So went to see what the fuss is about.
What's the fuss about? Cat and Bones make a deadly couple. She being a half breed vampire, and he being a full blood one (no pun intended). They know each other at a weird situation. (Cat trying to kill him, but who's caring?). Both Cat and Bones have the same job, with different reasons: Kill Vampires.
Her reasons: All vamps are bad. One of them raped her mother, and she is his offspring. The (un)dead lives only to cause pain and kill. Or so she thinks.
His reasons: The money. To get rid of the scum in his species.
It started kinda slow. I felt like I was reading, reading, reading and going nowhere. At 40% however it started to pick a good pace. I liked the plot, and the way the story was told (even though 1st person annoys me). I laughed a whole freaking lot. They are both hilarious characters.
What I liked: * The fun. I love a book that can make me laugh, and this one did verily. * The chemistry between them. * The action. * Bones's accent. (Don't fret about it) * Cat's transformation. At the beginning she was kinda innocent. By half/end of the book I was seeing her with new eyes. Wasn't just externally, but also within her.
What I did not liked: * The beginning. Slow. I would have dropped if wasn't part of a Challenge. * Even as great as the main storyline is, I don't find it particularly different from PNR's out there. * Bones's I love you statement SO soon. (I was... huh? Seriously?) * I know I have something more, but just can't remember, so I'll skip this and finish this review.
In the end I'm glad I haven't dropped. It was worth it. I liked. There's a big cliffhanger in the end, but that it's okay to me. Guess I'll have to check itout the rest of the series. (And I don't think Bones looks like Spike!!)...more
I really would like to have nice words to describe how good this book was.
First of all, I have to ask: Ezra, where you were my whole life? lol

Ezra and Kadira, both have rough pasts and are trying to overcome that. With only sex in mind, they stay together. But deep feelings make hard for them to breakup when the moment came. With scars branding them to their souls, they fight for themselves and for each other.
That was beyond, and I mean *very* beyond HOT. There's lots of sex. But it's just so rough, so raw, so... Good. Sex have a meaning, and they are not shy at getting what they want. (In any place/shape/way/genre you can think of!)
