So much is jammed packed in this release sometimes I wanted the ride to stop just so I could catch up and remember what was going on with which Carson Brother. Which might not be a bad thing for some but the many issues each brother had was a departure from His Majesty 1, which really focused on Ace (the oldest). The brilliance of these two authors was giving each brother a voice to tell their own story and allowing the end of the chapters to connect with the next thought making the story flow like the Nile river. While this book is every bit about family, love and faith we cannot have one extreme without the other; right. So trust and believe weaved into these pages; the reader comes across enemies, wicked anger and bitterness toward God. You’ll find yourself holding your breath or on the edge of your sit looking to come full circle with what just happened. Outstanding job but I need closure so I patiently await book 3 of this 5 part series. Ace has been the good son for so many years, he is the apple of his mother’s eye, a wonderful dad and a trying husband. Even though he is married withAce has been the good son for so many years, he is the apple of his mother’s eye, a wonderful dad and a trying husband. Even though he is married with children his heart is someplace else. The reader is immersed into a story about family, love and tough decisions. Page after page this book just blew me away, it totally felt as if I was watching an action packed movie, then it was over. Now where is my cigarette? Just kidding. I can’t start that ugly habit again, I made a promise to myself. A promise is the assurance that you will do a particular thing or a vow right? We aimlessly make promises all the time BUT what happens when we make emotional promises in the throes of sex? This book left me asking myself many questions about promises and the impact of them to others if not kept. Is it ok to forget those promises made? Is it ok to say what we want to get what we want?
All in all this was a very good collaboration between Harris and Jordan. They have spun a tale you definitely don’t want to miss, my only disappointment for me; I wanted more in regards to the group Majesty. But I am sure this duo has plans for their readers in the next installment.

After closing the last page of this book I just sat and began to think about all the quotes and saying regarding opposites attract like; "Simplicity and complexity need each other", "from the outside relationships don't always make sense" and of course opposites attract. Then I thought about Quinn and Ike and I had an epiphany perhaps opposites attract because they are not opposites but reflections of what the other is/is not. Let's take Quinn she represents fire while Ike ice, not in the cold sense of the word BUT cool (suave) Fire and Ice indeed. I enjoyed the dance between this couple, the give and take and the mounting emotional tension. But I gotta tell you; several times I wanted to bust Ike in the head with these fires he would start. I was thinking he was being a pyromaniac but that wasn't the case at all. One time he set a fire and his coolness almost put the darn thing out some readers will say he is old fashion, a gentleman, I like to think the brother is cool as ICE! One of my favorites themes throughout Sapphire Attraction is this idea of love and what it looks like or does not. Some call it an accident while other would say divine intervention. One tapped and hustled away years before, only to return while the other tapped with no desire to switch dance partners. But situations and time wouldn't let this happen the easy way. Her friends felt she was doing terrible in the mating department, her mother would never approve of her blue collar lover, BUT love is the craziest, unpredictable force there is.
I truly enjoyed the chemistry and balance in this book. Byron is the blue collar brother and Cynthia the white collar sister trying to get their head and heart on the same page. Two people couldn't be more different. But the heart knows what the heart wants. Driving Heat confirms opposites just might attract and could possibly continue the magnetism. But the question remains; does it matter if he's paid by the hour? Is it really about white collar vs blue collar or the level we communicate and accept others. What a great read

However Victoria doesn't have a relationship with her daughter and Gabrielle's daddy is not a constant in her life.
Left to her own devices Gabrielle finds out that fast living can bring one closer to the other side even faster. Just in time Gabrielle makes a phone call and life begins again.
I understood what the author wanted to do with this story, but at times as a reader the flow and emotion was off. For example Victoria and Lucy were in crisis mode a child was missing, a death occurred and they are people watching and taking on the role of fashion police? I know at times we need a breather during a crisis to break the tension but this was a bit unrealistic.

Well finding a character that uses her senses in a way I have not seen in a book made this read a welcomed treat. Gloria is a radio host and we meet her sister Anna after she becomes the victim of identity theft. Suddenly it appears that someone might also be trying to kill Anna. Along with her friend Gloria decided to find the perpetrators on her own without the police. They travel to and from a few cities tracking down the hackers who have stolen her sisters’ identity. Now this I found to be a little strange because one Gloria is blind and her sister is well they both are civilians. The story gets even stranger when they track down the hackers and stop a police officer on the streets of New York during the Thanksgiving Day parade and try to get him to make an arrest on the hacker. Not realistic at all, I found many challenges like this one throughout the story. But I still think it was worth a read, especially because we don’t want readers to miss the theme of struggles and how what others view as a disability might actually be someone’s strength.
