The perfect balance of sweet romance and erotic kink, the love of William and Aubrey captures a reader and commands their story be heard. Touch My Heart takes those threads and weaves a tapestry that carries the reader to another level. In many ways, Ms. Beck delivers the story that the reader was left wanting at the end of Book 1.
For those who are afraid Touch My Heart is a rehash of Hold My Hand, fear not! Despite being told completely in William's voice, only a few pivotal moments are retold. To be perfectly honest, having the dominant male explain his motivations helps to create a deeper bond with the reader, one that was lacking in the initial telling. The induction of Aubrey into the domestic discipline lifestyle takes on a more sensual tone as William cultivates the woman of his dreams in the submissive blank slate that is Aubrey. Perhaps most enticing is the man's desire to build up the shredded self esteem of the young barista, almost at any cost. His passion for his work, his family and his love make the anti-hero of book one the dominant dreamboat of book two. Aubrey's growth and sense of self, as seen through the eyes of William, are more palatable in many ways. (Call it the rose colored glasses of love, but William's voice quiets the self-doubting, self-berating of the previously abused woman).
As the story unfolds, the reader meets William's friends and family. The true significance of Aubrey in his life dazzles the reader into hoping the culmination will be a traditional HEA. Without divulging any story details or spoiler alerts, it is safe to say the author leads the reader to believe William's strength and the love of his family will finally heal the broken bird that is Aubrey....until the unforeseen cliffhanger. For certain, all readers who are hooked by Touch My Heart will be clamoring for the final installment in this surprisingly romantic erotic tale of a man, a woman and the needs that only each other can fulfill.

You have to appreciate an author who can give her readers just enough of the right elements - whether you like a little kink with your romance or a little romance with your kink - this series will capture your interest and keep it long past book 1!
Antonio Ramirez relocates to Texas to revamp his very kinky bad-boy image. Clare Kincaid captivates him right off the bat. He is everything she ever dreamed of. She is nothing like he's ever known. What's a curvy girl to do when a baseball Adonis wants to work his wicked ways with her? Play ball, of course!
Perhaps the reason Ms. Lee is so successful at creating erotic romances lies in her ability to create real, multi-dimensional characters that speak to the reader. Antonio exudes sex appeal, enough to have you reaching for your fan while you read. But he is also empathetic - he wants to make Clare realize her physical appeal, so much so that he is willing to suppress that dark side of him that enjoyed his roll in the Bases Loaded club and ultimate allow her to indulge his passion with him. Clare shows both fragility in her fears and strength in her resolve. While not every woman imagines reclaiming her sense of self confidence by indulging in a single night of wild hot monkey sex with four gorgeous athletes capped off with a trophy piercing - you have to give it to her, she wants what she wants. This pair are unlikely but their connection is magical.
Full of well written dialogue and plenty of seriously sexy scenes, Bases Loaded kept me up past bed time and turning page after page. I'm no fan of baseball but I'll definitely read any sports story if it's penned like Roz Lee's!
RATING: Four Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries and a big ole glass of ice water to cool down after this one!

In Blade, life under the sea has gotten chaotic after the great tsunami. Queen Miyuki and King Blade Bartholomew have precious little time to solidify their mating or face a perilous elimination ceremony. However, the King still hasn't regained his memories and Miyuki just can't seem to get past that. Coupled with drama and intrigue of stolen shipments, dangerous finning of tiger sharks and missing family after the natural disaster and we find neither royal knows who to trust anymore.
Cora Blu creates a unique and original take on the shifter mythos - no mere selkies, these warriors are fish and mammal shifters like none other. Powerful Blade, like Dagger, shifts into the most terrifying predator under the sea. Fiercely independent and deeply loyal, Miyuki shifts into an Irrawaddy dolphin. Somehow Blu manages to make it work and if this pair will get past their differences, their bonding will create the ultimate union for Clear Corals.
Fast paced and complex, this second in the series proves the adage that "books must be read in order" - while the story itself is highly enjoyable as a stand alone, many of the characters and story lines continue from Dagger's story. Watching the power struggle between Miyuki and Blade teases the reader for a large portion of the story. Fortunately, cleverly written storylines weave like netting to capture the reader and keep them ensnared while the frustrating couple works out their issues. Their chemistry ranks off the charts and their action packed initial mating feels much like the fight scenes that proceed it - sexy, angry and entertaining as hell.
Ms. Blu should be applauded for her ability to incorporate current issues involving our oceans and their inhabitants - dangerous intrusions by the humans who encroach on their existence with pollution and hunting. The messages are clear without overwhelming the romance or fantasy world of her sea shifters. As sexy as a dip in a tropical ocean, Cora Blu's Brothers of the Element Series are worth the read for those who want to hold their breath and take the plunge!(less)

In an exploding market of BDSM stories, the element of love - the kind that makes a reader want to know more about the characters and their journey - often gets sacrificed for steamy no holds barred sex. Hold My Hand focuses on the fledgling relationship between Aubrey and William without sacrificing the erotic components.
Shy, emotionally battered Aubrey hides in plain site. Working as a barista, she manages to capture the eye of the powerful and worldly William. He sees in her something captivating and pursues her with single mindedness. How can she say no, right? The rules that William sets out and the demands that he makes of Aubrey push her every boundary, every belief. This young heroine must decide to go with her instincts or cave to the voice in her head that threatens to destroy everything.
Beck has created an imminently believable character in Aubrey - her past history of emotional abuse, her feelings of self doubt and worthlessness hit the reader right in the heart. While a domestic discipline relationship may not be every reader's cup of tea, this author creates one that feels very natural and is so deeply steeped in loving motivations that any discomfort one might have about the heavy D/s overtones is quickly swept aside as the reader falls as deeply in love as this perfectly matched odd couple.
Sexy and sensual with spanky goodness, Aubrey and William's romance captures the reader and holds them bound from page to page. Fortunately for readers, theirs is a story that has more to come with an upcoming sequel Heal My Soul. Yes, Sir - we are patiently waiting because good things come to those who wait!

Can you fall in love with a book? I hope so, because I am so very in love with this new series by Gina Gordon. The Madewood Brothers have captured me - mind, body and soul. No, seriously, four foster brothers who all COOK for a living, are filthy rich but self made, slightly broken but temptingly repairable. I am a reader who adores series - siblings, coworkers, clan members, whatever - the connection of each to one another and the promise of an HEA for every one makes me giddy.
Recipe for Satisfaction tells the tale of the youngest of the four foster children of Vivian Madewood - the tattooed, very jaded man who embodies the idea of still waters running deep. He alone is left in the family mansion to pack up his deceased mother's belongings. Sterling Andrews has organized her life to within an inch in an effort to control the chaos of her upbringing After a farcical meeting on a publicity cruise, Jack strikes a bargain with Sterling - she'll help him pack and he'll help her have fun. Why do I never get offered these propositions?
Gina Gordon creates a delightful concoction of chick lit and erotic romance. Her dialogue is flip and funny, story lines well crafted and the writing above par. It was really very difficult to find any negatives. The secondary characters help to develop the future potential story arcs and add depth to the characters wringing some delicious angsty emotions out of the reader. I am not sure why I haven't encountered this author before but I will definitely be adding her to my auto-buy list and scarfing up her back list as well. The manner in which her story unfolds and the pace that it maintains is like the perfect restaurant meal - well balanced, full of exciting flavors and with the right amounts of sweets and savories. The sexy bits have enough romance to be sensual and spice to be erotic with variety and locations galore.
Did I mention there are three additional brothers? I guess that means I will wait, impatiently, for further installments into my new personal dreamland of sexy chefs and the women who love them. You must absolutely grab a copy and indulge yourself today! (links provided for immediate and easy gratification!)
