Jessica has did it again. The Haunted is an amazing second installment of The Hollow Trilogy. The story of this novel has alot more depth to then TheJessica has did it again. The Haunted is an amazing second installment of The Hollow Trilogy. The story of this novel has alot more depth to then The Hollow. Alot of the questions that are left unanswers in The Hollow are answered in The Haunted as well as a few more questions that leave you begging for more.
All the main characters that we grew to love in The Hollow are back and there are a few new ones thrown into the mix. Abbey has matured alot and her kind and down to earth nature as easy to connect with. We also get to learn more about Caspian and his story. And it was so easy to see how much he loves Abbey.
There is also a few really funny moments as well I was in knots with laughter. Also, a couple of sad moments that brought the tears to my eyes.
I recommend this to those to like to read stories that is emotional and gripping.

When I first heard of this book I was worried about reading it. It seemed to be one of those hit or misses. However, I am sooooooo glad I picked it upWhen I first heard of this book I was worried about reading it. It seemed to be one of those hit or misses. However, I am sooooooo glad I picked it up. This book really captured my imagination from beginning to end. With Jessica's beautiful writing style that makes you feel like you are there allow side Abbey. I really felt all the things Abbey was feeling. When she cried, I cried. (well I cried from start to finish lol)When she laughed, I laughed. She was easy to connect with and I felt like I have gained a new friend. When Abbey meets Caspian (who btw is cutie in my imagination)she starts to feel again from the lose of her friend. He awakens all new feeling in her. However, he did annoy me just a little as he always seemed to taking "two steps forward then five steps back" as Abbey said. However, in the end I loved them and can't wait to read the rest of their story.
This is Jessica's debut novel and she has did an amazing job here. Not only has she produced a fantastic and emotional novel, she has made me want to go out and read The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
I recommend this to someone who enjoys reading books that are emotionally intense, gripping from start to finish and with some mystery.
(WARNING DONT NOT READ IN PUBLIC CRYING IS A POSSIBILITY)

Fallen is the first book in the fallen angel series by Lauren Kate. It's dark, intriguing and every bit worth the read.
Fallen is about a a girl called Luce who is seventeen and after an unfortunate accident ends up being sent to Swords & Cross Reform School. There she meets some really interesting and mysterious characters. However, its when she first sees Daniel that her story really picks up and will have you hooked. Luce is straight away is Obessed with Daniel from her very first day at her new school. She wants to know all about him and knows she is hidding a secret. As well as obessing about Daniel, there is another boy, Cam who takes an imediate interest in Luce and wants her. Luce struggles with her emotions. However its clear who she wants. The love triangle is sure to get people hooked and have everyone picking a Team. (I'm Team Cam all the way).
As well, as these three characters there is sa bunch of other that are really interesting and sometimes very fun to read about. One that really stands out is Arrianne. She is (in the nicest way) Butt Crazy but awesome.
As much as I loved this story I do have a couple of negavites. First. I don't like Daniel. The way he treated Luce was just terrible and time and time I wanted to jump in the pages and slap the boy. Second negavite, I hated one of the twists involving one of Luces friends. (cant tell or I will spoil it)
Overall, Lauren Kate has create a dark, beautiful piece of YA literature that can be enjoyed by older readers. With its gothic setting and captivating storyline you are sure to be pull into a world full of twists and turns you honestly won't see coming until they have smacked you in the face.

Now, I won't do my own description like I usually do because the one above pretty much tackles everything without giving away much. I don't think I could do it without spoilers.
Hemlock was one of those books that I wanted because of the cover. Yes, shameful! But come on how amazing is this cover. It's perfect! So when I read the blurb I knew straight away it was one I actually needed. And let me tell you, where some books fail to live up to the cover, Hemlock isn't one of those. It exceded my expections and had me to gripped all the way through.
Hemlock (as far as I know) is a fictional town in USA. It's set in a our world but werewolves are real and everyone knows it. After Mac's best friend Amy is murdered by a werewolves her whole town in up in arms and call in a group of Trackers who are there to find and capture the werewolves. Mac and her friends are still trying to come to terms with the death of Amy and they slowly begin to grow apart. Mac who is being haunted by Amy in her dreams decided to go on a murder mystery hunt to find the wolf. I really liked Mac. She has had a bad childhood and lives with her cousin. When she moved to Hemlock she became friends with Amy, Kyle and Jason. Her world is completely torn apart as she uncovered the truth behind Amy's death. She is a fighter and I like that. I think a very good role model. She is strong and very independent and cares so much about everyone else. Her relationship between the two boys is tested. But she still manages to bounce back and keep going. Kyle and Jason are the total opposite from each other but they seem to bring out things in Mac and just make you love the characters.
The story itself is not what I was expecting. I knew it was a werewolf story but I didn't realise that there would be a big mystery murder hunt as well, which I loved. It was thrilling, exciting and very dangerous. However, I pretty much figured out who the wolf was about half way through the book. That being said it didn't stop me being engrossed in the story and waiting for Mac to figure it out. I keep wanting to shout at her who is was Lol. Like you do at scary movies lol.

I have been looking forward to reading Cole's story for ages! We first meet him as a teenager in "Down London Road" He is Jo's wee brother and is so shy and adorable! You just want to hug him and tell him everything is going to be OK. And as the series progresses we see Cole growing up and now we get his story. And OMG! This is quite possibly my favourite book in the series.
