Christmas in the Air is an absolutely adorable short story! I loved seeing Rose and Declan again, watching them in their new life together. One of my favorite aspects of this was seeing how much Rose has grown from the first book--how strong and confident she is. It absolutely gave me this warm and happy feeling inside for her. Thank you, Marie, for this lovely little snippet into one of my favorite couples!
When you start a new series, you never know what to expect. Will you enjoy it? Will the books following the first be just as good or better? Will you like it so much that you'll reread it? With Mira Lyn Kelly's Dare to Love series, I discovered that it's possible for a trio of books to be absolutely amazing. I made the grabby hands the instant I found out the series was continuing. After I loved Truth or Dare and Touch & Go, I was hoping and crossing my fingers for another book.
We meet Ford in the first two books. I'm going to straight up admit that Ford was kind of "meh" to me as a secondary character, but when he was on his own in this book... Wow. He's pretty amazing. The background story of Ford and Brynn is something you didn't anticipate, even though it's touched on in the synopsis you don't get the full scope until you read the book. Their romance was timeless, and to be back in each other's lives could be the best and the worst thing to happen to them. Will the secrets of their past continue to haunt them or can they find a way to move forward together?
Now and Then is a spectacular romance, definitely adding to the beauty of the stories in this series. Ford and Brynn's relationship was so touching. Their love story made me nearly melt in a puddle at how sweet it was. I'm not sure if this is the last of the Dare to Love series--if it is, that stinks but I'm so glad to have read it; if not, then YAY because I can't wait for the next one. I can't wait to read anything I haven't read by Mira Lyn Kelly no matter what.
I picked this one up because I'd heard a lot about Laurelin Paige and wanted to see what all the hype was about. And when I started it I was definitely intrigued and wanting more. Emily's on a mission to figure out what has happened to her friend Amber. The two of them have a sordid past, one that Emily escaped before it ruined her. What she learns along the way leads her to Reeve. She has to find a way into his life, and she does...by seducing him. As time goes on, she finds herself wanting him in a way she doesn't want to. She needs to find her friend and falling for someone who may be responsible or know what has happened to Amber. What is she going to do?
First Touch is a very dark and sexy romance. Personally, it was a little too dark for my taste, but I know a lot of people who like it that way, so they're going to love it. The dynamic between Emily and Reeve was well done--the tension and emotion was palpable. It just leaps off the page and takes you by surprise. The steam was a bit too much, but it was still well written. If you like your books full of heat and thoroughly intense, this book might be perfect for you.
There's a reason the Harlequin Blaze line is my favorite. It's mostly the steam (because whoa nelly, talk about steam!), but it's also the storylines of perfection that accompany it. I read One Breathless Night by Jo Leigh, which was so freaking amazing I had to get my hands on One Sizzling Night no matter what. And this book didn't disappoint.
Kensey is a determined woman who will stop at nothing to prove the innocence of her father, no matter the danger. Then Logan comes into the picture and proves to be quite the distraction in all his sweet and sexiness. When some of her secrets get discovered, Logan gets involved in her covert plan. Will they be able to find out the truth together?
One Sizzling Night had both romance and intrigue, which was a great combination. I loved the side story and how it tied in with the feelings that were developing between Kensey and Logan. I'm super excited to see what else Jo Leigh has in store in the future!
After enjoying my first taste of Elizabeth Briggs's writing, I knew I would need to read more. When I heard the next book in the Chasing the Dream series was going to feature Andrew and Becca (first met, for me anyway, in More Than Comics), I was very intrigued. The two of them shared a moment together months ago, and promised to get in touch again...but they never did. Then they meet again while Becca is working a horrible job on Christmas Eve, which she loses before the night is over. She's been trying to make her parents proud of her, and this, along with her boyfriend dumping her, is just going to make things worse. So she begs Andrew to help her out by pretending to be the boyfriend who dumped her. Given their past passion, it becomes hard to resist only pretending. But will they be able to handle it when their past returns?
More Than Once is a romantic tale of learning what you truly want. Andrew isn't just another guy--he has emotions, and he cares a lot, which I really appreciated. And Becca is someone I can empathize with--wanting so much to do everything to make people happy, but never feeling like it's enough. The two of them together is a perfect combination. I must get my hands on the rest of this series!
I've been wanting to read something by Elizabeth Briggs for awhile now. Several people I know and trust highly recommend her books, so I knew it would be well worth it... and wouldn't you know it, they were sooo right!
I fell for Hector and Tara's story almost immediately. Two online friends meeting in person for the first time? Sounds like a pretty awesome start to a romance. Hector has been in love with her for a long time, but she doesn't have those feelings about him until they actually meet in real life. You can sense it blossoming as you continue to read, and it draws you in more. Tara gets offered an opportunity of a lifetime--one that could keep her near Hector. But when Tara runs into her ex, it threatens to throw a wrench in her life and Hector's. Will they be able to figure out what's next?
More Than Comics is a sweet, romantic story! I loved the setting surrounding Comic-Con. I want to go there someday and now I really want to get there after reading this book. The love story between Hector and Tara is lovely and their chemistry is hot. And all the other characters intrigued me enough to make me want to get my hands on the rest of the books in this series. Definitely want to read more by Elizabeth Briggs.
I'm absolutely loving these SEAL books by Anne Marsh! It takes place in the same spot as Teasing Her SEAL--a resort called Fantasy Island. Maddie is the wedding photographer and she may have taken some pictures that Mason needs to get his hands on to protect the mission. The thing is, Maddie doesn't know Mason is undercover as the chef at the resort. When the two of them succumb to the temptation, it's only going to be a matter of time before the truth comes out. Will the two of them be able to work together to make things right again?
Pleasing her SEAL is a hot and steamy read. Maddie and Mason have a great chemistry between them. Maddie is a strong woman, and Mason is a sweet man. I loved the pairing. And I loved the way the story progressed, how much Mason cared about Maddie and hated to be keeping secrets from her while on his mission. Another great story from Anne Marsh!
Ember Casey has always been a favorite of mine ever since she released her first book. I've picked up practically every book since and have yet to come across one that I didn't enjoy. This book is one I've been eagerly anticipating since The Secret to Seduction, and it didn't disappoint!
Ashlyn and Dante used to be together three years ago, but when they meet again after all this time, it brings back all those memories. Dante doesn't want Ashlyn to disappear from her life again, so he goes out of his way to explain everything that happened from the past to the present. They've both changed over the years, but Ashlyn is reluctant to allow Dante back in her life. If she does, she's opening herself up to a lot more than just a relationship. Since he's a celebrity, and a well-known one at that, dating would shine the spotlight on both of them. Are they willing to try again despite the obstacles that could be ahead?
The Sweet Taste of Sin is a sinfully sexy second chance romance. I loved how Ember incorporated the cake design into the story (from her personal experience). There was something about that aspect that added so much more to the story for me. The romance between Ashlyn and Dante was scorching AND adorable. I'm really looking forward to the next book in The Fontaines series!
The first two books in the Anderson Brothers series were great. Book one, Sleeping With The Boss, was my first Marissa Clarke book, and one of my very first Entangled Lovestruck books. I'll never forget how exciting it was to read. And now that I've read the third book, I'm pleased to announce I have a new favorite in the series!
Genny isn't your usual heroine--she's blind and has been for awhile. She's decided to complete some items on a bucket list, including kissing a total stranger. When she accidentally kisses Chance, a childhood friend who abandoned and hurt her years ago, old feelings resurface, along with an opportunity. He promises to help Genny mark off everything on the bucket list, despite the fact that his helping her could get him into trouble. Chance promised her brother he would stay away from her...but things are different now. Is there a chance that they can move beyond their past and step into a beautiful future?
Chance of a Lifetime was a spectacular story. Not only was it unique, but it was so full of heart, there were times I couldn't stop clutching mine and wanting to tear up. Chance lived his life with Genny in mind--he never forgot her--and it showed in every single thing he's ever done. I loved to see them both get a second chance together, to find out the truth about the past, and to experience life in a whole new way. Bravo, Marissa Clarke, for creating such a beautiful story.
This story was so... freaking... good. I fell in love with Holly and Roth from the very beginning. They're best friends and neighbors, but they find themselves in a quandary where they need to stop people from trying to set them up with others. So they come to an agreement to go places together so that it seems like there's something more. They think they can keep this arrangement under wraps, keep it casual, but then they find themselves kissing one night. Since they're such great friends, how could a little bit of fun cause any problems? Only it does. And it leads Holly and Roth to where they need to figure out what the future holds for them and what they're willing to risk to get what they truly want.
A Friendly Arrangement is a lovely story. It was impossible not to notice the chemistry between Holly and Roth--how it was always just below the surface. Also, their friendship felt so grand to me, which made the transition from friends to lovers all the more enjoyable, not to mention natural. I am absolutely interested in reading more by Christine Warner!
The Lessons is a surprisingly captivating story that had me hooked more than I thought I would be. Natalie and Ryan have a connection, not to mention chemistry that is off the charts. Their relationship is of a different nature than the usual kind you find in a contemporary romance, but I loved the unique nature and how the two of them interact with each other in and out of the bedroom. There was something inherently sweet about the pairing of Natalie and Ryan, so much so that I didn't want the story to end. And when it did end, it felt very satisfying. All in all, the story was full of all the swoons and all the heartwarming love you could want. I'm very intrigued now to see what else Elizabeth Brown has in store for the next book in the Off Limits series, The Rules!
When I read the synopsis to this book, I knew I had to read it because it would start out with a bang...figuratively and literally. I was hanging on the edge of my seat in the moments after the supply closet, wondering what would happen next for Chelsea and Rafe. When Chelsea finds out her boyfriend is a total douche, she quits and escapes. Rafe doesn't discover this until after he officially starts doing business with the company. He follows her for purely professional reasons, but those end up going out the window once they're together with their eyes wide open.
Compromising Her Position was a steamy batch of romance. I loved watching it all play out, from the mistaken identity that caused cringes to the continued romance that caused swooning. Rafe and Chelsea fit together and I enjoyed the journey they take. Samanthe Beck is one I'll definitely come back to, and any following books in the series.
The Angel Island Series is all together in one set! Here is what I thought of each boSee more of my reviews on my blog Thoughts At One In The Morning.
The Angel Island Series is all together in one set! Here is what I thought of each book:
Waiting For The Storm is a beautiful story. It has the right mix of humor and life and love. By the time you reach the end, you're just swelling with this unimaginable joy. Marie Landry made me fall in love with yet another story of hers. If you want a compelling and sweet contemporary read, I say go for this story. It is brilliant and you WILL enjoy it. A LOT.
After the Storm takes you on a journey through the spectrum of emotion. You feel the loss, the regret, the hope, the pain, the love. And you can't help but connect to Ella. Marie Landry is a superb writer who knows how to create fictional characters that feel like real people. I don't think it will be possible, ever, to not love a story written by her. This one is another must read.
Take Them By Storm is one of those books that takes you by surprise. Not that I've ever doubted Marie Landry's talent, just that it's a new kind of new adult novel with more to it than just potential romance. It's a journey to discovering yourself and where you fit into the world around you. I loved seeing everyone from the first two books in the Angel Island series again--especially seeing the strong bonds Sadie has with both River and Ella. I would highly recommend this story to anyone and everyone!
I've read two of Joya Ryan's books, Chasing Mr. Wrong and Rules of Seduction, both Entangled Brazen books, and I adored them both so much. It's reached the point where I want to read every last one of her books all at once. So this one definitely made the list of top priority...and I was not wrong in making it a priority.
Chloe and Gage are "if I'm in town, let's hook up" friends with benefits. They've been doing this for awhile, and every time they're together it's spectacular. But this time is different: Gage wants more. Chloe immediately panics because what they had was exactly what she wanted and she doesn't want anything to change. Thus begins the battle between Gage and Chloe--she's trying to seduce him back into her bed, while he's trying to convince her to join him for dinner. Their game takes them where they never expected their relationship to go, but are they prepared for where it leads them?
Tell Me You Need Me is a wonderfully steamy story full of heart. Gage and Chloe have chemistry that is seriously ridiculous, and the physical flowed into the emotional flawlessly. Joya Ryan is a complete master at the fine art of romance and heroes with seduction techniques that make you swoon. Amazing book from the Search and Seduce series!
After reading and loving The Hookup Hoax, I knew I had to check out more by Heather Thurmeier. The premise of this one caught my eye, and once I started reading, I was enveloped in the world. Tessa left her hometown of Cutter's Creek for the big city and now that she's back for vacation, she couldn't be less pleased. She meets Logan in an unfortunate way, causing her to have an instant dislike toward him. After being forced to be in close quarters, there's an undeniable spark between them. Since she's lying about having a boyfriend in the city, it keeps Logan from chasing her. That is, until he finds out there is no boyfriend. But their romance is going to be short-lived because Tessa wants nothing to do with her hometown, while Logan is loving this place. Where can they go from here?
The Hometown Hoax was a lovely small town romance. I could completely empathize with Tessa's feelings toward her hometown and the gossip chain associated with it. And on the other hand, I could see why Logan completely fell for the sweet town. Their relationship was nice to watch unfold--how they had more in common than they initially thought and how their romance secretly developed. All in all, another great story from Heather Thurmeier!
When I heard that Brooklyn Skye was going to have a Brazen novel out from Entangled, I was so excited. I enjoyed the first novel of hers that I picked up, Just One Reason, so I was anxious to see what she had in store for this book.
Laurel and Micah don't completely hit it off when they first meet. He's not willing to accept help, and he certainly doesn't want to say why. Somehow she manages to convince him to let her nanny his daughter, Shae. Over the course of this job, Laurel and Micah get to know each other, albeit reluctantly on his end. He has his reasons, and they're absolutely legitimate, but they're still in their way. When they act on their underlying desires, it's only a matter of time before they have to put all their cards on the table to make it any further.
A Moment of Weakness was a steamy ride! I enjoyed how everything played out from start to finish. I'll have to say that Micah's attitude left little to be desired at first, but I warmed up to him as time went on. The romance between him and Laurel was amazing, and the way Laurel and Shae got along was perfection. Can't wait for the next story in the Boston Alibi series!
I enjoyed Regina Kyle's Triple Time, the second book in The Art of Seduction series, so I knew the third book would be right up my alley. As soon as Ivy and Cade stepped on the page, I was all in. She's helping out a photographer by taking pictures of Cade for a calendar. They've been friends for years, but there's an extreme attraction on both sides and they use that to their advantage. He's trying to keep a girl who's been following him around from bothering him, so Ivy says she'll come with him to make it seem like he's taken. After an unfortunate accident, Cade ends up with a broken leg and stays with Ivy while he recovers. Their chemistry is bumped up even higher and there's no telling where it could lead.
Triple Dare was such a sweet and sexy story! I'm always a fan of friends becoming more than friends, and heroines who own who they are, and this story had both. Cade was so super swoonworthy, I wanted to snuggle with him. All that talk of him cuddling a kitten and then saving one just makes me fall for him even more. An absolute must read for those who love steamy romances with sweet heroes and strong heroines!
A spontaneous new release by one of my favorite authors? YES, PLEASE. And I love shorter stories--they're more focused and to the point. When the romance happens, it's not dragged out with unnecessary conflict.
With Chasing Jane, it had everything you could wish for in a shorter romance. The best friends to lovers trope is always welcome in my books, and Nate and Jane are perfectly adorable together as friends. You can feel their struggle, their hope, and their love in the interactions they have. I love Jane's story--not just her romance, but her background with her name and her mom and her trip. Everything was well thought out and written so that you fell for the characters the same way they fell for each other. This book is definitely a recommendation in my book if you're looking for a quick and sweet read.
Hot stepbrother? Check. Stranded in a snowstorm with said hot stepbrother? Double check. This combination could be lethal. And you know how much of a sucker I am for snowed-in stories. Sierra and Bentley have an obvious attraction, and when they're placed in this situation, it intensifies... very much so. They act on this attraction, but what will happen when they come out on the other side?
Stranded with my Stepbrother is a very hot story. It's not heavy on any drama, save for the fact that Sierra and Bentley are stepbrother and stepsister. It would have been nice if there was more, like maybe a teensy bit of conflict to make it a little bit longer. Otherwise it's a quick, lighthearted romp with quite the dose of steam from Madison Collins!
LOVED. It was such perfection--sultry and seductive and sweet.
My Thoughts (full review):
It's no secret that I adore every single Sawyer Bennett novel I pick up, but there are some times when you pick up a new one and it completely takes you by surprise. You're drawn into the world, swept up in the romance, and extraordinarily pleased when you reach the end.
This was one of those times.
Leary is representing someone she knows on a case that means everything to her. She'll stop at nothing to win, including throwing Reeve off his game. In her attempt to distract him, she finds herself distracted. They fall into an enemies-with-benefits sort of relationship (HOLY HOTNESS), one that neither of them wants to end. But there's still the fact that they're on opposite sides of an important case. Feelings develop while emotions are high. Leary and Reeve have everything to gain and everything to lose. And in this trial, there will be only one winner.
Friction was perfection--sultry, seductive, and sweet. My favorite aspect of the story was that their passion fueled secret relationship turns into something more real. Usually you don't see that happen until the end of a story, so it was nice to see Leary and Reeve admit it to each other instead of hiding it. If you're on the lookout for an extremely sexy book with a romance that will warm you to the core, this story is what you need.
These What Happens in Vegas stories are the best! I picked this one up after enjoying Sarah Ballance's Five Things I Love About You and expected another cute story. What I got was so much more!
Ellie went to Vegas with one man in mind, book cover model Willie Focker, and ends up finding Jax, Willie's bodyguard, instead. There's something so enchanting about Jax and Ellie. Neither one of them was expecting the other, and yet, there they were in the right place at the right time. Ellie and Jax get to know each other over the course of her trip, falling into a lust and bacon filled haze that can only happen in Vegas. Just when it seems like they might be on the same page, Jax falters. You know deep down how he must truly feel, but something is holding him back.
Gambling on the Bodyguard is no gamble--it's a win! Sarah Ballance brought us a sweet story with a lot more depth than I anticipated. This book grabbed my attention from the very start. I mean, it's funny, sexy, romantic... it was already a recommendation in my book before I was halfway through it.
Such a unique story! Caitlyn volunteered to surrogate for her sister and brother-in-law, but in the middle of her pregnancy, they're in a plane crash and believed to be dead. This leaves Caitlyn to raise the triplets on her own...that is, until Antonio shows up. He's alive, but with precious little memory of the past. Caitlyn helps him along with what has happened, including the three children he didn't realize he had. They work together to take care of the kids while Antonio tries to make sense of his past. He realizes Caitlyn needs to be there for his children since she knows them. What neither one of them counted on was the attraction. For Caitlyn, she's always wanted Antonio, but now that he's feeling something for her, who knows where this will go.
Triplets Under the Tree is a heartwarming story. It's touching the way everything played out for Caitlyn and Antonio. The amnesia aspect was well done. The secret from Antonio's past was definitely not what I expected, and I wasn't too fond of it, or the way Caitlyn reacted to it, but the rest of the story more than made up for it in the end for me. Another worthwhile read from Kat Cantrell!
After discovering Stefanie London from the first Behind the Bar novel, The Rules According to Gracie, I can't stop myself from standing by with grabby hands for the next book. When I found out about the second book in the series AND that it was going to feature a fake relationship (that trope is like chocolate to me), I knew I needed it straight away!
I was charmed by both Libby and Paul from the very start. They have their own goals--hers is to get her product off the ground and his is to get his family to stop bugging him about getting married. Although they claim their fake relationship is all for show, their chemistry charges in to tell them otherwise. While I adored the romance (because it was a HECK of a hot romance), I think what I loved most was the unwavering support they had for each other. They both had their strengths and weaknesses, and each of them knew how to bring out the best in the other. Which is what made the romance more than just a fling for show.
Pretend It's Love was a delightfully endearing love story! I seriously couldn't stop loving Libby and Paul. The growth in the characters was believable, and their interactions super sweet. Paul's insistence on the nickname he gave Libby (Tiger) was both funny and lovely. Can I have more Stefanie London books NOW, please and thank you very much?
I had a super fun time reading the first book in the Elite PR series, Caught, that I was anxiously awaiting book number two by Clare James. The first book had a race car driver, and this one had a country singer. Melody is put in charge of Aaron to get his career on track. The two of them have trouble getting along in the beginning, but after some unfortunate setbacks, they find themselves understanding each other better... and then crossing the line into some quite steamy moments. Once Melody is finished with her assignment, will she and Aaron continue their relationship?
Played is a lovely book, full of romance and heat. Melody and Aaron may have had a lot to learn, but they were great together. One of my favorite aspects to the book was the relationship Aaron had with his brother, Graham. It was beyond the sweetest thing ever, and made me fall more in love with Aaron. Cannot wait for the next book!
I love me some Veronica Mars, and I love to talk about it and discuss it too. And with the movie coming out shortly, I got all psyched to read a little bit of this. Sadly, it was more of a bore to me than interesting. I just couldn't really get into these essays. I already know the amazingness that is Veronica Mars, and I have thought long and hard on a lot of the same points they were making. It's not really interesting to read the stuff you already have figured out.
For some Veronica Mars fans, it might be very intriguing to read through this compilation of thoughts on the dynamic of the show, the characters, and their stories. But, not all Veronica Mars fans will be impressed. Some will get bored quickly. I was among the latter. But I know that some will enjoy this, so it's not entirely a loss.
The second I started reading this book, I was in love. I seriously was. Usually it takes a little longer before I am fully invested in a book, but the first chapter captivated me so much, I was overwhelmed and wished I didn't have to go to bed!
Hannah finds herself caught out in the rain, so she walks into a used bookstore for shelter until it lets up a bit. She ends up talking to Ben, and convinces him to pick out a book for her. He picks one, she buys it and reads it, and thus begins their beautiful friendship. This, I believe, was what made the book amazing--their friendship. You can sense it moving into "something more" territory, but it never feels forced, ever. Your heart is right there with them as they explore the beginning of adulthood--deciding what they want from life and falling for each other.
This Book Will Change Your Life was by far one of the best books I've read in my life. Hannah and Ben's relationship was beautiful, like seriously beautiful. I loved watching them learn and grow and love. There was something about this book that made me feel like I was actually in the book, experiencing their experiences myself. I can't wait for more books by Amanda Weaver!
I read Delicious Temptation, the first book in the Delicious Desires series by Sabrina Sol, and absolutely enjoyed it. I was happy to see Daisy was going to be getting her story. And what a story! Daisy doesn't really like Brandon, but when she needs him to kiss her to show she's moved on from an ex, it starts a domino effect that leads them into trouble. Their "relationship" is broadcast on the tabloids and everyone believes they're getting married, even though they're not. But once that idea gets into Brandon's head, he decides it would be a smart choice. His mother, Lorena, needs treatment and the only way she'll come see him and get it is to meet his "fiancée". Daisy understands what's at stake, so she goes along with it. The desire to kiss and more keeps coming into play, leaving them with no other choice but to give into temptation. What will it lead to when their fake engagement has to end?
Delicious Complication was a sweet romantic tale. There were complications as the title implies, but Daisy and Brandon make their way through. I enjoyed seeing their relationship play out, and watch as they get intertwined with each other's families. Brandon's mother was amazing, I want to just hug her tightly. All in all, another great story from Sabrina Sol!
Another sweetie of a story from Noelle Adams! In this continuation of the Beaufort Brides series, the story centers on Rose. She's a nanny for two adorable girls, Jill and Julie, who are the daughters of James. After his fiancee proves herself to be less than likable, the engagement is off. He and Rose talk, and he finds himself seeing Rose in a new light. Given the circumstances, he can't give in to that temptation no matter how strong the pull is. But since his former fiancee doesn't seem to get the picture about their engagement being over, James and Rose pretend to be engaged. It doesn't take long for them to realize how much they want something fake to actually be real.
Substitute Bride is quite charming! I loved watching the romance unfold between James and Rose. It was sensual and sweet at the same time. And his daughters are absolutely the cutest--I wish I could just hug them both for real. It was also great to see and hear about characters from the first book again. Noelle Adams does it again as usual. Can't wait for the next story in the series!
When I first picked this book up, it didn't take long for me to start rooting for Mia and Chris. They're fighting an attraction thanks to their work connection, not to mention Mia has a boyfriend. But it's there, and as unattainable as it seems, they are curious. After Mia's boyfriend proves himself to be a complete jerk, Chris wants to make sure she's okay. Their friendship turns into something more, but there's danger for both of them if they're not careful. Will they be able to come out on the other side unscathed?
Nothing Ventured is a spectacular mix of romance and unexpected suspense. I loved how the story didn't just turn out perfect right away. There were twists and turns and surprising moments (like the incident on the basketball court) and it really added to the story. This is the second book Kristen Luciani's Venture series and I can't wait to get to the first book, Unlikely Venture.
Okay, so I picked this book up thinking it would be a cute story, complete with sweet and steamy kisses that lead to something more. Little did I know how much I would grow to ADORE the heck out of this story. Scarlett and Finn captured my attention with their friendship. Boy and girl best friends are simply the best. When Scarlett decides she needs kissing lessons and asks Finn, let's just say it's one of those lines that make it difficult to go back. There's initial reluctance, but when she says she'll ask someone else, he refuses to allow that. Once they share their first kiss (HOLY FIRST KISS), it escalates from there, leading them to a new place they never anticipated possible. One with all sorts of beautiful things... but only if they're willing to let it happen.
The Finn Factor was a spectacular new adult romance! There is a dire need for the true NA books, and this one definitely filled that need. It had ALL THE KISSING and ALL THE BUILD-UP and ALL THE SWEET SEXY EVERYTHING. I will absolutely, positively be checking out more books by Rachel Bailey if they're half as good as this one. And I recommend that you put this book on your TBR!
