Now the horror that one of the victims is her childhood best friend crushes her and makes her want to fight and figure out what is going on.
Hide by Lisa Gardner is a page turner. Unlike Alone, the first book in the series, this book kept my attention and wasn’t predictable. There were great twist and turns and kept me guessing until the last page. If thrillers and mystery’s are your type of book then this is a series for you! I’ve heard they only get better…
**spoiler alert** Love, pure love. I absolutely LOVE this book. This series wasn't my favorite from Richelle Mead until this book. *Sigh* I loved it a**spoiler alert** Love, pure love. Eugenie finds herself in the middle of a war, in the Otherworld. A world she has always hated and never accepted. We last saw Eugenie as she had been kidnapped and raped by Queen Katrice's son. When Dorian killed him, Katrice went to war with Eugenie, one that Dorian backed her up on. Now Eugenie is in search of the "Iron Crown" so she can end the war with as little casualties as possible. She fights her way though a test to get the crown and was she does she realizes that Dorian has tricked her into finding it and once she realizes his betrayal she is heart broken and turns to whom else, Kiyo. But what happens at the end of the book is a page turner. After she stops the war by taken Katrice’s kingdom from her she finds out she is pregnant, with Kiyo's kids. Yup I said it kids, one girl and one boy. The prophecy of her being the mother to Storms King grandson that will take over the human world is coming true and now Kiyo is set out to kill her. She finds herself at the feet of Dorian begging for his protection, one he gives her once she realized that she is pregnant, and finds out it’s not his kids. Poor Dorian!
Gosh I loved this book. It was action packed, had great romance, humor and just the right about of heartache. Ever since the first book Storm Born I loved Dorian. He is a great character and I've always rooted for Eugenie to end up with him. I never really liked Kiyo, who doesn't do anything unless "his" queen tells him too. I just hope that in the next book we somehow find out that the kids really are Dorian’s. I don't even care if they take over the human world I just want Dorian and Eugenie together. They have great chemistry and passion. The way they both reacted, in the bringing of the book, when the other one finally came back from that days battle showed their love for each other. Dorian needs to learn that Eugenie is an equal, if not above him, and stop his skimming and lying. Eugenie needs to trust in him more because even though he keeps things from her he seems to have THEIR future in mind. My favorite parts in the book are when she is in the Otherworld. She is boring that human world and always seems to be getting hurt.
I can not wait for the next book!!! AGH! I have to know what happens next. ...more
