Although Max and Janie were the main H/H I felt I lost the connection to them with all the secondary storylines of their Thursday night friends group.

I didn't really like Brooke at first especially considering the way she betrayed her best friend. I know it takes two to tango but still where was her loyalty?
So Brook's out for revenge and wants to assuage her guilt over her bestie's suicide so she hatches a plan to expose the sick douche bag boys at her new high school. Ohhhh there is so much potential for disaster with your plan Veronica Mars.
I keep on thinking as I was reading, totally engrossed as Brooke’s plan started taking shape and the action and suspense kept building...please Ms Walden don't go there with Ryan...please not Ryan. Ack!
The story is well developed and eventually Brook finds herself like a fly caught in the spider web of her own making. The "scene" was pretty graphic, hard to read and digest but very gripping and nerve wracking...not for the faint of heart.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed Going Under and will check out more from this author. ...more

Arrrgggggghhhhh x 1000 *throws ereader*!
I have come to terms that the new normal in publishing is the cliff-hanger ending. I don’t have to like it and in fact detest it but it’s here to stay.
That being said...seriously the ending of The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden? OMG. That was just bloody brutal, mean and a down right evil way to end this book. If I could say 2 words right now to Jessica Sorensen it would be F.U.! I wanna punch a hole it the wall a la Kayden.
Obviously Ms. Sorenson excels at torturing her characters and in the process us poor readers. And for anyone who reads this book...and really you must...we're all now looking at the calender wishing it was August when the next book comes out.
My obvious frustration with the ending aside I loved this story. Callie and Kayden are impossible not to fall in love with and root for and have them break your heart through all the hardships they’ve been forced to endure.
August, August, August...it’s only a few months away.

No eccentric CEO billionaires, no innocent, inexperienced virgins and no cliff-hanger endings that seem to be all the rage in publishing these days. After Hours was a pretty down to earth story about two middle class, hard working individuals trying to eeek out a living, getting by day to day and explore the growing attraction between.

I’m convinced of it. She has 2 incredible men lusting after her and this girl is like an indestructible Timex watch. She takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’.
If any human had to endure even a tenth of what Kathleen has to go through at the hands of Ms. Snow...well they wouldn’t be alive to have a story to tell. No one could ever accuse Ms. Snow of not writing an action packed suspenseful story but it may be necessary to suspend belief before turning the first page. Kathleen has been shot at, stabbed, kidnapped and almost killed more times then I can count. And each time she just picks herself up, dusts herself off and carries on with barely the blink of an eye.
I love Kade. I am Team Kade. Blane who? Kade ooooooozes raw, sexual, masculine appeal and he is a bad-ass to boot shrouded in danger. How can Kathleen not choose him?
As the book ends, Kathleen, Kade and Blane are all experiencing their own turning point in the story. All I can say is there better be some Kade and Kathleen between the sheets, incredible dirty sexy action in Out of Turn. How can Ms. Snow not give us...her loyal readers...that payout considering Kade and Kathleen's sexual chemistry! We need to see Kade in action.

Having burn in the title is a good adjective to describe this book because it is BURNing hot!
Naill and Vic spend a lot of time between the sheets so be prepared for many and varied sexual encounters between them that are sensual, sexy and steamy hot!
But there is a good story as well even if Vic, as a playwright - is a man of few spoken words...he has other talents that make up for his silence. Naill has some secrets that threaten the tenuous relationship between these two when revealed, but lets face it...they can’t keep their thoughts, hands or tongues off each other....more

You never know what you're going to get when you decide to try the cheap or freebie reads from Amazon and in this case a new-to-me author Elaine Levine, but The Edge of Courage was a great, surprise find.
Rocco Silas was a tortured hero. Suffering from a bad case of PTSD and on the verge of ending it all to escape his guilt and nightmares, Rocco decides to take his buddy Kit up on his offer to help his sister Mandy around her property where she’s in the process of constructing a rehabilitation centre with horses.
Rocco had suffered a great loss and experienced an extremely difficult uncover assignment for many years embedded in the Afghan culture. When he returned to the States a broken, traumatized man, he didn’t like to be touched, didn’t sleep, had episodes where he zoned out...he was a man walking a fine line between life and death. Mandy was able to reel him in, talk him down and at times it was like she was trying to train and sooth a wild, skittish horse. Mandy seemed to be the only one who could crack Rocco’s shield.
I love watching Mandy get through to Rocco through her believe in him and her growing attraction and love for this guilt-ridden man.
Add in some suspicious events that force her brother Kit home along with another friend Blade and a whole host of testosterone fuelled black op team members out to foil a plot bent on revenge and it all amounts to a whole lot action of goodness.
I will admit to enjoying the first part of the book more where the focus was solely on Rocco and Mandy. Once the Calvary arrived and the action heated up, lots more characters were introduced and Levine has a whole cast of interesting characters to chose from for future books in the series.
Since she left Blade in a pretty bad way, I’m guessing his story is up next. I’m interested to see how she digs him out of his current predicament. ...more

I loved Skin Deep. Nate and Megan were two characters who evoked a lot of emotion while reading. Both so scarred emotionally and physically yet it seemed neither of them saw the other as anything except perfect for each other. And little Emily and Buckwheat and Grandpa Jack...just everything about this story was full of awesomesauce!
Add in the I-Team boys and their beer run adventure and it doesn't get any better....except for the next full I-Team book. Love these guys and their bromance. ...more
